My profile pic is legion ?
Doesn't mean you know how annoying he is to play against.

One extra chase while injured with a 10-15 second head start can actually be worth tunneling a survivor out of the game in most cases. DS only helps survivors in their most vulnerable state, which feels cheap to killers, but does wonders in terms of the perk's balance.
You lose almost all of your pressure by chasing them twice in a row. Against good survivors that's often a guaranteed loss.

DS only gives about 15m of distance because of the animation. 15÷.6=25 so yeah it's almost 25 seconds in a straight line. This is one time use and only in some situations. Most killers have powers which make the time even less. Is this invincibility?
Most killers have powers for that yes, but survivors have loops. The survivor has 20 seconds to get to a loop which will waste way more time than running in a straight line.

Your problem is assuming DS makes you invincible. A temporary availability of a 5 second stun is not invincibility, and thinking it is can cause you to straight up lose games as killer. As killer, no matter what you think, you are in control and the survivors are at your mercy.
Okay, assume you pick up someone with DS and the other 3 survivors are each on a generator. You are a 115% killer and the survivor runs in a straight line.
You are stunned for 5 seconds. The survivor gains 20m of distance. You begin chase, and take about 30 seconds to catch up. Downing them again and picking them back up takes about 5 more seconds. By then 3 survivors have completed half of their generators.

Sorry I don't follow...
I'm trying to explain why doing totems should disable OP's version of DS. Say you have Devour Hope with let's say 3 stacks. The person with DS finds it. They start working on it. You stop them. You can't pick them up because they have DS and you "tunneled" them. They pick themselves back up with Soul Guard. They get back on it. You go back to them and down them. Eventually, another survivor might try to heal the slug and will also see the hex totem. The only real way to stop this is it sit by the hex and keep downing the DS guy, which will result in a loss because everyone else did gens.
Come to think of it, healing another survivor should definitely disable it as well so you don't have an invincible medic running around.
-
> Pig is the most annoying killer
OP has really never gone against a legion once in his life.

Soul Guard encourages survivors to leave your totems up and UB is one time use. These perks, like DS, have restrictions that reduce the advantage survivors get from using them that all too often people ignore just to push their narrative. UB and DS do exactly what they say, and if you play into their advantage then don't be surprised if you get punished or if even more often the survivor is able to reduce the punishment they receive.
Okay but if a survivor has this version of DS (and totems don't disable it) and Soul Guard you literally cannot stop them from breaking your hex without throwing the game.

@Waffleyumboy said:

It's not invincibility, it's a second chance against an attempt to pick you up. You can still slug a survivor if you see them creeping on your totems, the same can't be said if the survivor gets near permanent progress in the form of gen or gate progress or an unhook. These 4 objectives all have similarities and differences, doing totems has too many differences to be classified as a main objective(so does healing).
Then they can use Unbreakable or Soul Guard.
-
Freddy has longer games than plague imo
-
This ain't it.

@Waffleyumboy said:
Why healing, doing totems, or making noise? Of course survivors might accidentally fast vault 3 times while being chased and then get tunneled. Getting healed right before getting tunneled is also very possible and survivors shouldn't be able to be tunneled just because they wanted an extra layer of protection against tunneling in the form of a health state. Doing totems is a secondary objective, it doesn't make much of a difference if they are allowed to have protection while doing it. DS should allow for as few tunneling scenarios as possible, so I believe it should only deactivate if the survivor gets on a gen or goes for an unhook. No other weird gimmicks, just straight up "if you're doing these things you better not be getting tunneled because this perk's going bye-bye".
Doing totems should absolutely disable it. Otherwise the survivor could go around cleansing your hexes/block your NOED while they have invincibility.

Oh, I thought you were adding them to the list.

Yeah guys urr... Trying not to feed him IS IMPOSSIBLE. Especially in non-SWF solo queue, sometimes dudes just feed him and he tends to use the Evil off of one guy to chase another, basically effing you over even in the best break LOS and loops.
He WILL build Evil 3, no matter what you do. And you guys are saying he doesn't get a speed increase with EW 2-3 at all, but I SWEAR TO FREAKING GOD I saw him move 150% his speed straight up on Evil 3, EVERY single time.
That sounds like Play With Your Food, not Myers. Myers cannot achieve that speed without perks.
-
I don't think there's that many. I've been playing for 2 years now and I can't recall facing a single hacker outside of the Mobile version.

Yeah, but he's too fast to loop. He's Evil 3, he's chasin me and again for all purposes I have zero perks (no speed perks at all). What can I do if he zooms at basically a literal sprint-walk on Evil 3. He never even loses that Evil 3.
He moves at normal speed in tier 3. The only difference in movement is his slightly longer lunge range.
Edit: And faster vaulting.

Survivors are the ones suffering. Mouse and keyboard gives very little benefit to them but huge boost to killers.
That just means they're not used to playing against PC killers. Console survivors will learn eventually.

Yea happened to me as Demo on Groaning Storehouse. Luckily I was able to place a portal and escape it that way, but if it were to happen on some other killer with no movement power, game over man.
Same thing happened to me on suffocation pit after I devoured a survivor's hope. I'm surprised it even let me place a portal there.
-
I think console killers are just weaker than PC killers regardless of whether crossplay is enabled or not, just because it's harder for them to land hits. Once they get optimization they'll have a better time.
-
I've been getting a lot of console potatoes. Works both ways.
-
Lag, you need to press the button earlier with high latency.
-
So.... you take a hit for a survivor, but then the killer can only track the survivor you were trying to protect?

I don't think kindred was nerfed, I've been using it and didn't notice anything.

Alchemists special ability: Nerf - Any Survivor afflicted by "Nerf" has their perks reduced to joke level tier for the remainder of the match
DS no longer stuns the Killer, Instead it merely causes a minor inconvenience ear ringing for 3 seconds
Self Care no longer heals a full health state
Bond only reveals one Survivors aura if they are within 1 meters range of the Killer and you happen to be also in that 1 meter vicinity
Sprint Burst is reduced to "Jog" at quarter the speed of Sprint Burst
etc
The minor inconvenience is the survivor screaming in your ear after getting tunneled.

@madradfox said:
Whatever the killer happens to be, you gotta remember he has to have 3 teachable perks, and the same goes for the accompanying survivor.
At this stage, the only way to make that happen is to really introduce at least one new mechanism into the game. Otherwise both the killer and the survivor will be stepping on other perk's shoes so to speak
Not necessarily. Two of PH's perks for instance are pretty simple yet unique.

I just don't think it would make sense for the Putrid Serum to turn a man into a wolf-like creature. All the killers took bizarre, even more monstrous appearances (Hallowed Blight and Withering Blight event outfits) after receiving the serum, but none of them looked like an animal.
I think that while it may not necessarily be a wolfman, it could be beastlike in some way. From the shadow those protrusions on his back look like they could be part of a transformation into some sort of entity-beast.

It’s a gamertag chill dude, and also:
•the devs create good killers but since Killers can’t get their precious 4K with them all the time they play spirit , nurse, and huntress
•Hmm when’s the last time these forums were filled with requests for a killer nerf? I haven’t seen any in a hot minute
•only time survivors troll the killer and be toxic is if the killer is toxic first like shaking their head no like if they’re good for no reason.
> Survivors are only toxic if the killer is toxic first
No. Incorrect. I can't even put into words how wrong that is. It might be like that on console, but there are plenty of SWFs out there on PC who are as toxic and sweaty as they come.
-
Clown, Legion, and Pig could all use buffs/reworks.
But they're doing Myers or Huntress next because of add-ons.
-
I pretty much always avoid new Freddy's rituals but I'll sometimes do the Nurse/Huntress ones.
And I'll generally always do quests involving Ace or stealth killers. Except GF, I skip him sometimes because his ritual has way too many requirements.
Also, if the BP reward is less than 30k, I usually skip.
-
The challenge is you have to play with 3 perks

-
Either you're really unlucky or hackers decided now was a good time to start acting up. Hackers are extremely rare on PC.
-
Excluding licensed chapters, the last 3 survivors we got were all "strong woman who takes a stand to fight injustice". Jane and Yui are still both distinct and interesting characters, however.
Zarina on the other hand... falls flat. I'm not sure whether they're trying way too hard to make you care about her story or they're just not going about it the wrong way, but I wasn't really invested.
She doesn't stand out as a character to me. It feels like she uses elements that can already be found in other characters (Jane and Nancy, for instance). I appreciate that they tied her into the killer's story, but other than that she's just... a character that happened I guess. Doesn't help that her perks kinda flopped as well, probably due to the perks that could have fit her personality going to previous characters with similar personalities.
-
I don't think it's that unbalanced. Console killers are a little bit weaker than PC killers due to mechanical limitations (especially nurse, and now that I notice your name I think you might be a masochist). Survivors on the other hand, aren't as limited. If they optimize consoles better it should be fine.
-
This must be the kind of threads the devs read every time they decide to nerf pig. Hyped for the next pig nerf.
-
Gonna be frank, having to sit and mend for 48 seconds every time you get hit sounds like the most awful thing ever.

Personally, I'd prefer a craft system instead of a bp recycle one but I'd take any system like that in a heartbeat.
I always liked the idea of you can break apart an item and get parts back which you can use to make items or upgrade other ones.
Say 5 brown parts lets you upgrade any brown item one stage if possible whereas 10 of a color lets you craft anything of that same color. The parts menu effects both offerings and add-on so you could break apart say 5 yellow regents and upgrade a yellow med-kit to green or break apart 10 regents and get 1 yellow med-kit. The system would also work with multiple colors so you could use yellow parts to upgrade brown items but it would take less. You wouldn't get a lot of items through crafting but it would at least get you some use out of stuff you'll never touch.
I figure Survivors and Killers will have separate crafting inventories but they are shared between respective sides. So all killers share parts with each other and all survivors share parts with each other. This would let you trash everything on a single survivor to put on other killers if you rarely use them. Same with killers.
Edit: Values could obviously be changed and played with but that's the basic idea.
Yeah I'd like something like that. They could flavor it as an altar where you offer things to the Entity to get other things.
Maybe you could offer 2 items of the same rarity, then it generates 3 items with that rarity, and then you pick 1. Offering 3 would increase the rarity. And maybe offering just 1 will decrease the rarity in case you have too many ultra rare items or something.
-
It's a lot more relaxing than killer. Unless my teammates decide to give me an aneurysm.
-
It's a typo, that's bound to happen in a game with so much text. Most programming software doesn't come with a spell checker.
-
You can also play piggy and go for head pops
-
Pretty sure you can vault the pallet and the killer can only break it from one side.

It depends, some people wont stop asking for their favorite licenses no matter how obscure or unfitting they are, this very forum is cluttered with "How about (obscure character) in the game? Its super iconic and it will fit very well!", I think one of the problems we have for a patch centered only about bug fixing is the sheer number of people who will just buy any license they put in the game, that money is hard to ignore.
Also the thing that bothers me the most about those supposed 2 licenses is, if one is Candyman, who is a rather obsscure character with only 3 films, 2 of them AWFUL beyond words, who is the other one? once they run out of known licenses there is only the crappy b-movie/exlpoitation slasher films left. (Jason is not going to happen with the legal trouble and Chucky gameplaywise would be awful, only Pinhead left and I dont think is easy to get, outside of that there isnt much left to work with unless you go for crap like Maniac Cop or even worse things).
They could always just put in the guy that says "Garbage Day!" and then shoots you. It could be an insta-down but an Iri add-on makes it insta-kill.

Yeah but any change the designers think of must be coded into the game, those coders could help fix bugs instead of coding more perks and Killers nobody uses after the first month. Designers can keep designing things and putting them on hold meanwhile the bulk of the workforce focuses on fixing all the problems and bugs the game has.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1531384#Comment_1531384
Some leakers say the next 2 chapters can only be bought with Auric Cells, those are usually used for licenced characters (one is supposed to be Candyman).
9 months without any original chapters sounds awful.
