Are W holding survivors complaining about bloodlust?
The only time that bloodlust kicks in is when you face W gamers on huge maps that allow no cut-off like midwhich, the killer should be able to end the chase at a pallet more easily if the survivor decided to go for that cheap tactic. And that's just boodlust 1 which cuts loops short which would otherwise take you up to 3 runs of ring around the rosie.
The other time when bloodlust kicks in is when killers want that 1 guy at a safe place which mind you should not exist in the first place.
We can get rid of bloodlust if killers retain their speedadvantage at all times by fixing their acceleration or hitbox (not a game dev) during tight loops, deal? Oh also survivors should not get a chance to kobe without perks.
And I don't know what some people here are talking about but there's still plenty of safe pallets and areas that good killers will straight up just not chase you to unless they already won anyways.

Sounds good. I'd add that if they slug you it remains paused until you get healed from dying state or unbreakable up so they can't just slug it out.
So a completely free escape during endgame when exitgates are open? Nice, it's not like there's perks that help you crawl 50% faster right?
-
@Venzhas said:
Meh most of them just sluggs waiting for DS to goes. But even after that "DS iS STiLL a PrObLeM aNd UnFaiR NeEeRF"
That's 40 seconds of wasted time for the killer PER survivor PER hookstate especially if there is nobody nearby when slugging. So yeah, it absolutely is overpowered.
The argument that the survivor cannot do anything on the ground while slugged is pretty weak since the killer's time is more valuable than that of 1 survivor and if not for DS you'd be hooked instead of slugged.

Thats exactly what im doing everytime. Dead for dead, no way i give the killer more points or satisfaction while the only thing he does is running stupidely from a gate to another
Because running around a pallet while having vision of the killer 100% of the time while also getting a speed advantage that you should not have is absolutely not stupid and brainless?

Forgot where I was going with that question...
--------------
Anyway,
the 360s are an ok argument. I have 700 hours and never been spun in my life, unless ... we're counting 100-200+ ping players. Then they just disappear from my screen. Hence why I avoid 100+ ping matches. I'm playing on PC tho.
Hugging killers is a tech that I didn't get pulled against me yet. I do it against killers myself when i'm desperate. However, all of these come with a very high risk
If we're looking at Blight.... check what @MadLordJack said first.
Personally, I feel like survivor techs are harder to pull off than killer techs & come with a higher risk
360s and all the other survivortechs are performed when the killer would get an easy hit on you in the first place except maybe for dumbtech which is actually high risk high reward. So no, they don't take alot of skill and don't need to be in the game as most survivors cannot perform them anyways. You made a mistake, you got caught out in the open on maps that are FILLED with obstacles, you deserve to get hit.

i'll start being vocal about it then because that's actual horse #########.
the community was vocal about liking when the spirit was bugged and had directional phasing sounds that gave her a little bit of counter play and they patched that out real fast.
Looping also was an unintentional bug that stayed in btw.
Survivors losing alot of speed difference in tight turns was never intended but stayed because of dumb checkmarks loving that "gameplay"

@Caleegi said:
I agree. I survivor main and everytime i feel bad for the killer. There are so many god pallets and dead ends around the map which destroys it.
It's not even fun to play as survivor, everything is absolutely braindead on that map, even absolute potatoes who predrop EVERY pallet will 4man escape against m1 killers UNLESS the other potatoes can't find the gens.

I get it but, there just words from some dork on the internet that's just a loser they can hurt you unless you let them.
Ignore their stupid nonsense
Again, why would I if I can punish them. Are we okay with mediocrity and ######### situations now?

Forgot to mention, that hiding in locker will also deactivate the DS.
DS would still be way to strong in endgame that way, hooked somebody when the gates are open and wanted to secure a kill? tough luck

Update: I got a reply from the Devs and they confirmed that this will be added in the new chapter release.
yeah if that's not bait good luck with the 30 minute survivor queuetimes.

Idk. While yes people who say these kind of things should be banned I'm not really keen on automatic ban systems.
I know a guy that got banned from a dating app while talking about chess cause they mentioned black and white pieces over and over.
He should have seen it coming after saying white is superior but still.
Same thing happened to me in league, I said I'll suicide so you guys can win (5 enemies chasing me and I kept their attention by sometimes giving them the chance to catch up while my team backdoored), boom 14 day ban but support resolved it to essentially a 3 day ban (not a ban but support took 3 days to resolve the issue)

No mither currently works because of DS, next patch is gonna hurt it bad.

Sorry that actions should have consequences, the internet is not a western anymore, this isn't 2001.

Safe pallet =/= god pallet, but still, yes, the map does need more safe pallets due to its lack of windows. Pallets are one-time use, but windows can be used repeatedly over multiple chases. Because of the over-reliance on pallets, especially without WoO, it is very easy to find yourself in a dead zone after a couple of chases. One teammate who doesn't know how to loop is enough to make the map very unsafe for everyone else too, which is not the case on maps with more vaults.
There is such a thing as too many pallets, and I'm sure we'll see changes if The Game turns out survivor sided on the aggregate. Still, the Game does need to have a disproportionate amount of safe pallets or survivors won't have much to use in the chase.
Pallets that end chases or extend them to the point where you have to break them because survivors are able to see you the whole time during huge loops are considered godpallets.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Keep in mind that there are only a couple of windows on the whole map so there do need to be more pallets than on most other maps. I haven't played there enough to have a good sense for how well it stacks up to the old version, but the old version was very similar - tons of pallets, but very few vaults.
Every pallet there is a ######### god pallet, Not having many windows is not an excuse especially when those windows that you have lead from godpallet to godpallet.
-
If you don't do gens for more than X secs or heal survivors/unhook survivors for X secs crows start appearing on your head like you're afk, this is disabled on EGC ofc.
There fixed it for you, Identity V has the same thing.

It's actually funny how some of these people play.
I saw a SWF that takes Object, they picked the map and they all split up across gens and start hammering them immediately at the start of the trial. They play like it's a tourney. Half of the killers in the game can't combat that. You wonder how many games they win, and you wonder why after queuing for 10 minutes or so per game they try to rush their way out in about 3 minutes.
Next swf is one I see quite often. They always pick the map and always seem to have BNPs or good toolboxes. They'll all jump on a gen at the start and try to knock one out asap or they'll go for 2&2 and they again dont do anything but gens they just hammer them like their life depends on it.
There's only reason Nurse that can combat these kinds of groups. Spirit and Freddy are mad overrated. You're only gonna win these games by slugging but of course they'll have a few unbreakables thrown in to counter this.
These groups aren't uncommon. It's literally tournament gameplay some groups because it's just split up and hammer gens. Where's even the challenge when you face someone like Trapper? or wraith? or Demogorgon?
I just laugh it off as pathetic, it's basically being "that guy" at your local hobbystore who goes to yugioh players that are like 12 year old while he has a 2000+dollar deck and powergames against a kid who just started out. Except in DBD it's even more pathetic because most ppl play this game for fun since there's basically no chance to win anything worthwile, in magic and TCGs you can at least win some boosters at your local draft tournament.

To be fair, rushing Gens against a camping Killer (especially Bubba) is the best thing to do. No need in giving those players points, sucks for the person on the Hook, but thats about it.
Even tho, I dont think that this pushes Killrates (like I said, I dont get OPs point), because from my experience, Killers who are just facecamping are pretty rare. A good bunch proxycamps and tunnels, and this can be dealt with by using BT, but Killers like Insidious Bubba are rare, so I dont think that Killrates get pushed at all.
(To push the Killrates, it would mean that this is happening quite often)
Im not talking about insidious camping bubbas and for some reason nobody plays with me so there's not much SWF for me going on, soloplay rarely sees BT and the likes.
I usually let 1 person escape to push the killrates to 3k at least a little, I wish more killers would do this instead of sweating for the 4k, that would represent the survivor-sidedness of the game better in the very skewed statistics.
-
@NoOneKnowsNova said:
What? Are you saying survivors are playing killer with noed/basement bubba or are you saying they're giving up to them easily? Regardless killer mains do that stuff too.
On the contrary, they try to rescue against odds that are impossible unless the killer has a malfunctioning mouse
-
@th3 said:
Cause its certainly more exciting than the gameplay the killer is promoting the survivors to do which is genrush and just leave.
So dying with 4 ppl against an unwinnable situation unless the killer screws up HEAVILY is "fun" ?
-
If I see a TTV with Object who gives out information to his 4 manI just streamsnipe, fair is fair and streamsniping is not a bannable offense afaik.

Hex BBQ does almost nothing on most killers, ppl use it for extra BPs it's not OP and it will never be op

Actually, you don't need the gen to be under 50% anymore. Mindbreaker got buffed in the last mid-chapter patch so it activates when someone repairs a generator at any time, and it also increased the tier 3 exhaustion status to 5 seconds.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2004340#Comment_2004340
I should probs try Mindbreaker on GF lol
oh nice gotta try it out a bit then on stuff like myers
-
@BitingSea said:
Spies From The Shadows, for killers that don't set off crows too often or move too fast a lot, it's basically Whispers 2.0
It works on every killer, not just killers that set crows off often. You're probably talking about deathslinger but you're not running around shooting while you're looking for people anyways. It's great on him because of his small TR.
-
@glitchboi said:
Mindbreaker is an underrated killer perk that got a buff not too long ago. It forces survivors to walk for 5 seconds in the middle of a chase just for their precious exhaustion perks to come back. The perk can potentially become meta.
The issue with Mindbreaker is that it requires the gen to be over 50%, if you do not use gen regression builds then it's not useful in lategame.

If noeds get nerfed, I guess a lot of people will just start 3 genning
or you know, just straight up quit. We curretnly have what, 5 minute survivor queues for solos? Where's the need in driving away killers with nerfs?
-
if NOED gets changed gens get rushed to ######### every game which is why they won't do it.
Killers need the looming threat of NOED without even having it or else gens will fly, that is way more powerful than actually having the perk itself. If that is not a thing anymore survivors will just ignore bones
-
You're not supposed to become immune to tunneling or camping, it's supposed to help.
-
@BSVben said:
It would still be a trash tier perk.
They could make it give the killer a small movement speed buff 3-5% for every survivor currently on the hook. (Only active while survivors are on the hook.)
I don't know if that might be game breaking though.
5% speedbuff for every survivor working on a gen while a survivor is hooked until he is unhooked. Does nothing against solos as they cannot coordinate saves but ######### over genrushing SWFs. You'd have a 5% speedboost against SWFs who coordinatedly push out gens while watching the timer most efficiently while you chase somebody at minimum and 10% if they decide to stay on them while their mate is hanging around.

Dude dont try to toxic to me, i dont care. Just dont try. We can talk normal.
Anyway game is more fun now? They nerfed so much fun advantages and you think game is really fun now? Not for me sorry.
And who said DbD is only one mine pvp game. I am playing more pvp games lol
Then you're probably wrong here and not me, I've welcomed most of the changes and I've been advocating to make this casualgame more casual since it's release. The devs themselves always envisioned this game as a casual experience, again if you feel great here then maybe start realizing that even at rank1 most people you "roflstomp" barely play 3 hours a day while you probably treat gaming almost like a second job, i stopped sweating long ago because it's nothing special beating such ppl when I play almost 8 hours/day myself, maybe not DBD but those skills carry over.

Get good budy.
And old mori was also good. But people like you were so cried about it and poor mori get nerfed.
You guys just need to get good. Stop making this game worse
At this point you're just trolling if you think Moris didn't need a nerf.
Some of us have a life and CBA to sit 5000 hours in a non-competitive game that was basically meant as a mario party and then gloat like some neckbeard for beating people who're just trying to have fun once in a week.
I laugh at people who "get good" in games like DBD and Fall Guys. Can't get good in any of the actual competitive games so you stomp people derping around doing achievements and challenges as a killer LOL.

Sorry, i didnt meant that. I agree with keys need nerfs but you acting like they are so strong and all games ending with key. That is not true. And there is ways to stop key.
Again, there is no ways to stop keys.
It's the same stupid argument with pay2win games that don't straight up give people a win but give them a huge advantage, yeah a wallet warrior in World of Tanks "only" has 30% more penetration, better progression and better consumables but he can still lose to a free player, that doesn't make it any less pay2win for most gamers.
Yeah you can beat a key same as you can beat a 4man SWF with metaperks, that doesn't mean they aren't an issue because by that mentality, why ever nerf ANYTHING that is not blatantly broken. Keys are unfun and I don't feel like bringing the best offerings and slugging everybody so I kill them at the same time just because 1 surv brought a key. The same stupid design decision with old moris and im glad they are nerfed. By your logic why nerf old moris, just don't get hooked duh.
-
@Cryinfrn said:
Or you know instead of crying like a little 5yr old you could get actually win by killing them. Isnt that the killers job? Survivors bring keys because they can escape/survive with them. SURVIVOR
I have a 85% 4k rate (don't count 3ks as I cba to slug for the 4k most of the time and I mostly give hatch if possible because I don't want them to nerf freddy) on freddy between rank 1 and 2 when I give a ######### about playing again and that was when the game was WAY harder than it is now for killers, after DS nerf it's probably just gonna go up. There is no need for me to "git gud" on a non-competitive partygame.

Game needs a new balance team for any intelligent changes to come to fruition. Right now they balance the game around potato survivors because thats what most survivors play like.
Dont take this game as anything more than a joke and you will enjoy it a lot more.
Potato survivors do not use keys.
-
Nurse is basically just cheating I'm sorry but if you think nurse takes "a ton of skill" to master then I've got a bridge to sell you and maybe you should try playing actual hard games instead.
Nurse players get no respect from me, any gamer with a measly 5 hour playtime per day can master her so fast that it's 4k after 4k after 4k with no effort, there's a reason ppl like Otz usually don't play her much, because those matches are onesided and boring, the only thing that can beat her is a complete SWF focused on rushing out gens, I'd be okay with people picking her against those teams but yeah that's not a decision you can make mid lobby anymore so we end up getting sweaty nurses against complete randoms, if the map has almost no LOS then there's no point in playing.
She needs a complete rework.
-
So far no good killer-streamer has ever claimed that NOED is for bad killers only, that should tell you alot.
Even the best killerplayers use NOED from time to time, there's no shame when survivors have crutches on crutches on crutches that make life easy.
Killers who go against teams who don't derp around, don't do achievements and don't do "challenges" will usually at most 2k if survivors sit on gens and split up and just run away from other survivors/gens to waste time unless killers go for 3gen, the killrates prove this with them being AT MOST 60% even tho many survivors do not play the objective at all me included.

While I will agree with you that neither are fun. They are in fact counters to keys. If you are used to versing good swf squads, you will know that sometimes you have to play in an "unfun" manner just to be competitive. It is what it is. That's the game at red ranks. I can't change it, but I can adapt and overcome the obstacles.
Winning the game is not a counter to keys, that's like saying "oh, DS didn't need a nerf I still usually 4k"

I don't know what to tell you. I mostly play killer role. Either tunneling or Franklin's work well for me. You could also slug them until all 4 are down. They can't use the key while slugged. I haven't lost a survivor to hatch via key in a few months. You just have to keep it in mind, and play around it to achieve the outcome you desire.
Also, to be fair you said "no counter to keys" to which I named a few. Just trying to help you, Honestly
Both of those things do not work against a surv who just plants the key somewhere for later use.
-
@AssassinZodiac said:
There are counters to keys. Either tunnel the person with the key, or bring Franklin's Demise. Ggez
Franklins is not a counter to any keyuser with a brain who places his key somewhere and gets it when hatch spawns.
Tunneling the person still leaves the key on the ground for the other survivors to get
-
He will rarely be picked unless he gets huge buffs anyways.
