Territorial Imperative will finally be meta lmao.
In all seriousness it's a fine perk now but not amazing, you don't need 7 BNP you only need 5 so I wouldn't include the extra two in the math it's 60 seconds for 45 seconds worth of progress which is good for sure but I wouldn't call it meta just yet considering the price you're paying of being extremely vulnerable afterwards.
It might be slightly concerning in a SWF where if just two people run it it's 30 seconds for 45 seconds which is just good maths like that might be a bit rough especially with gen regression being nerfed but we'll have to see.
I would call it a 3 star perk with it potentially being 4 stars if the current changes go through to live.
-
The survivor better be an elf.
-
Chucky- Good, 12 seconds sounds like a good medium between having your power often enough and missing still being punishing
Bubba-This is good to bring him up to modern DBD power level
Slinger-Seems fine
Mastermind-Fantastic change, the virus only going to 50% on hook made it very oppressive if they wanted to tunnel.
Blight-Sure
Toolbox-I personally hate getting Sabo'd almost more than anything else in this game but this is probably fine. If it's too strong expect an increase in slugging however.
Deadlock-I'd go further and make it 20 seconds but at least it's getting nerfed.
Background Player-I never got the hysteria over this perk and thought it was overrated but alright.
Grim-Sure
DS-I actually haven't played since DS got buffed but I'm skeptical about this being deserved
Pop/Pain Res-I mean sure they were probably a bit overturned atp but with no other perks getting buffed I don't think this will do anything to their playrate, they'll still be the best option.
Buckle Up-Finally, I think this explains the toolbox changes somewhat and in context this is better for solos I think as that takes a little less coordination.
Invocations- Absolutely needed changes for invocations to ever be viable. As far as WS goes I think this puts it in a situation similar to shadowstep where for the most part it's kinda average and you still most likely don't take it by itself but if we ever get a meta invocation you might as well run WS with it as a nice bonus in addition to whatever other invocation you're running.
Borgo-You are now leaving Caelid. You are now entering Stormhill.
Overall decent changes I think we're heading either for a meta shift depending on the perks for the next chapter or they're trying to bring the overall power level down it's unclear but either is reasonable.
-
Making the skin as loud as Huntress normally is isn't a nerf lol.
You're paying for a skin and a mori not unintended in game advantages.
-
I wouldn't say I'm tired of DBD I'm more tired of buggy patch after buggy patch with cheaters and ddosers and BHVR making no visible efforts to improve and preferring to blow us off at best and gaslight us about the situation at worse. So I guess I would say I still love DBD but I'm getting tired of BHVR.
-
Meh I get it's a lot to work on but I honestly believe people are giving BHVR too much leeway here. This is a company that released a killer 5 years ago and only just now fixed a "bug" that existed since release. That took years to balance a huntress add on which was about as complicated as limiting the number of hatchets to 1 and it goes on and on with twins, blast mine, several killers being kill switched a year, etc. Nobody is saying they need to work more hours but it is a completely legitimate criticism to say the quality just isn't there with this game and I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for better.
-
Pretty good job so far.

Does your last statement apply to every killer? And do you have them in mind with full meta build or without
Probably everyone short of trapper, ghost face and myers. I don't think you have to run full meta although it obviously helps.
-
Old Undying was fine and totems being relevant made the game more interesting.
Basement isn't that dangerous.
Opening chests isn't that bad and can be situationally worth it.
Killer is strong enough that gens can go back to 80 seconds.
-
I switch up a lot but tend to stick to the same few killers
Xenomorph because it feels great to be able to get around the map so easily with the tunnels.
Skull Merchant because tracking down survivors with the radar is nice and I know she doesn't have voice lines but I still think she has good voice acting.
Huntress because tossing hatchets is chill. She's probably the killer I play to not try because just hitting hatchets feels good enough that I care about kills less.
Plague because I can just laugh at medkits.
I think in general I just like having a ranged attack with the exception of skull merchant cuz she goes zoom and gets free tracking.
-
Not dying, I think the last patch soured a lot of people though. I know I don't plan on coming back until Anni.
In the the long term it depends on the devs really focusing on balance. They hired a bunch of artists to pump out more cosmetics and that's a good thing but now they need to do the same thing for the balance team and whoever it is that fixes bugs. No more bugs that last for weeks and weeks and no more dealing with busted perks for months upon months.
-
That amount of "bugs" that get left alone for years and years is truly astonishing.
Trying to think if this or blast mine is funnier.
-
Pros
-Best built in info power
-top 5 antiloop power
Cons
-very low PoV that makes playing on maps with tall grass annoying
-turret management mechanic you can't ignore
-
gets hooked in a dead zone, gets unhooked and gets tunneled out.
"Clearly you should have looped better and it may have seemed that this tunneling was unfair but it was obviously just a learning experience."
Taking chases makes survivors better, tunneling is just annoying.
-
@Ohyakno said:
You've gotta explain how killers can tunnel easier than ever before because I remember I time when you could immediately be put back on hook after being unhooked and you could be moried after getting hooked.
Otherwise this is just breathless complaining. Nothing but wind. The update is bad but it's hardly a bellwether about the games future. It's just a bad update that needed more time in the oven, like many others.
yes rampant cheating and more glitches than ever before is breathless complaining. I guess all the content creators quitting the game are just complaining too nothing to see here. This is inexcusable for a nearly decade old monetized game.
-
Singularity is miles better at 3 genning so by that logic there's no point in playing against singularity. She's literally no better at it than Hag that is to say above average but nothing overly remarkable.
-
Blood Moon, BP gain feels not worth it now compared to that and the rampant cheating and horrible PTB isn't encouraging me to come back.
I'll check out the new rift but I probably won't actually come back until Anni when I am getting as many cakes as possible.
-
I think Cote said in an interview not that long ago they're fine with Nurse being busted because of her learning curve which is kind of a cop out tbh because she's not that hard to learn, she's possibly not even top 3 hardest to learn. I genuinely think BHVR thinks rebalancing her would be too hard so they just decided not to.
-
It should be extremely concerning that we're going into the 8th anniversary of this game and having almost an entire midchapter patch reverted from PTB. I don't know how you work on a game for 8 years and still can't do things like match an animation to not interfere with the actual perk duration or not realize massively buffing victor in that way was a mistake. This comes after blood moon needing to be adjusted which is certainly not the first time an event has had to be adjusted, I believe it was last anni they had to massively lower the community challenge numbers? Might have been the one before I don't fully remember.
My main point is if this midchapter was an isolated incident that would be one thing but over and over we're seeing botched PTBs and events and I think we're way past the point where BHVR has any excuse to not be including and listening to the 5k+ hour players when they first plan these perk and killer changes.
You know it's bad that one the best things to come out of this year was a billy rework that's literally just reverting an overheat mechanic nobody wanted in the first place.
-
I escape around 5/10 maybe 6/10 on a good day but regardless I have thousands of hours and have studied this game up and down and that's what it takes to just escape HALF the time. I imagine most people are struggling much more but I was thinking about this and came to the conclusion this is kinda what we signed up for. Not just us but everyone who plays PVP games in general.
Someone no matter what happens is not going to have fun. Either the killer doesn't do well or the survivors fail to escape. Even in "balanced" games with a 2k the killer most of the time isn't going to be happy with that and if you're a survivor that died you probably still didn't have fun. That's just the nature of PvP games, somebody is always going to lose and losing is not fun. So either make peace with the fact that sometimes the game isn't going to be enjoyable or play PvE games.
Which saying PvE games isn't meant as an insult. I've been playing a ton of Warframe lately and it's honestly been relaxing compared to DBD, just chill level clearing and resource gathering with other people. Like I honestly recommend playing some sort of MMO or RPG with friends if DBD is frustrating you, it's not as tense and the communities are generally much nicer as a result cuz nobody is going against each other.
-
It would be the funniest thing in the world to me if they went with Moreau instead of Lady D.
Also for a serious opinion Donna Beneviento and Angie were the scariest part of RE7 and is much more deserving of a spot. She's very underrated.
-
I had an idea for a killer that started as a mutant caterpillar and evolved into a moth man as the trial went on that was an extreme version of a power up killer like Myers and Oni but that's probably too involved considering the average length of a game.
-
Mirror Myers is just very tedious to go against, he can't chase so you just leave gens early and camp check spots and he can't do anything. I don't think it's fun for either side tbh.

The turrets being used for shack means the rest of the players have no defense against xeno's anti loop
Correct, I'm not arguing that guy wasn't going in planning to sacrifice the other 3 for a chance at hatch. Not saying it was nice but they did have a plan for escape.
-
If they're going for the unhooker every time and not tunneling I'd say they're actually being very nice.
It's just dumb to expect the killer to let you heal under hook for free.
-
I don't think so. Dude clearly had a plan of playing for hatch and building a fortress to protect themselves.
Is it annoying? Yes. Would you be in your right to flame him? Yes. Was he breaking any rules? Possibly but I don't think so.
If BHVR didn't want people to play in this way they wouldn't have made perks like Left Behind and Self-preservation.
-
uuuuhhhh it was a sponsored ad on youtube.
It's difficult to find if you're actually looking for it but putting in "play dbd ad" seems to make it come up. There's another one with billy on coldwind but I can't find that one.

People be sleeping on Unknown, Tru3 thinks he's a top tier killer and he has huge standards for killers (to the point he thinks Chucky's a weak killer) so you know he wouldn't be arguing about a killer being strong unless they're truly are.
He also had Wraith as the 2nd strongest killer at the time Pyramid Head came out, I'll be honest I don't entirely understand his criteria lol.
-
- Nurse
- Blight
- Spirit
- Billy
- Artist
- Plague
- Oni
- Xenomorph
- Huntress
- Wesker
-
I genuinely believe Wicked is an S tier perk and is being incredibly slept on atm.
A free unhook is incredibly power as Deliverance taught us (which that belongs in at least A tier if not S tier) but beyond that you get 20 seconds of killer aura reading. The ability to avoid the killer for that long is absolutely busted and has prevented more tunneling than OtR and DS have combined in my experience. Wicked is in my opinion the best anti-tunnel perk in the game with the added bonus of being a stronger deliverance in the right situation.

Im sorry, but how do you make a Tier List and put half the Killers in A-Tier?
Not trying to be rude or anything, just I really don’t understand what basis you’d use to come to that conclusion.
For me, a lot of Killers are within B-Tier and C-Tier, obviously not the entire pool of Killers, but a majority are just “decent”, not bad, not amazing, just “decent”, which there is nothing wrong with that since Killers can be “decent” and still be viable given the right build.
- Nurse
- Blight
- Spirit
- Billy
- Artist
- Plague
- Oni
- Huntress
- Chucky
- Wesker
- Xenomorph
- Executioner
- Unknown
- Twins
- Singularity
Okay I misremembered it's 43% at A tier or above but that's still very considerable.
-
Were people saying this?
Honestly I did a killer tier list recently and more than half the killers were in A tier and it had me wondering if it's healthy for every killer to be so good when survivor is in such a weakened state rn.
I honestly think we're reaching the point for survivor that killer was at that prompted the 6.1 changes. I'm seeing the BP bonus stay at survivor later and later into the night lately which is absolutely wild to me.
-
I feel like unknown you just do adept and add Unrelenting.
For Xenomorph you could do Superior Anatomy/Brutal Strength/Rapid Brutality/Trail of Torment. Just really aggressive perks along with Trail for some of that Alien Isolation jump scare moments.
SM could be PWYF/Game Afoot/Two Can Play/Tinkerer. All about treating her hunts like a game and tinkerer as her drones are self-made.
-
This might be the funniest thing that's ever happened in DBD history, it almost feels like BHVR is balancing with cheaters in mind with this rework.
They have to make Victor latch on every hit otherwise he's the strongest killer in the game. Preferably I would like a version of the Twins where Charlotte exists for a reason other than just hooking people.
-
It's almost like we don't actually know how strong she really is because everyone lets themselves die on hook against her.
Good job you all played yourselves.
Maybe actually play against the character so we have more reliable data and then we can figure out if they actually need nerfs.
-
-
You coulda just said plaything/Pentimento lol at least there's a chance people would use that.

you get -25% from pain res and -30% from pop add them up and that’s -55% total until all pain res tokens are used but I guess putting that together is too much work 😃
Except you said 50% not 55% so that's clearly not what you meant and that's not how that works Pain Res is -25% of total progress and Pop is 30% of current progress meaning Pop never actually does -30% regression for example if a gen is 50% Pain Res will put it to 25% and let's say you got it back to 35% before they come over and Pop it would only do roughly 10.5% regression for a total of 35.5% regression, far from it actually being 55% regression.
Perhaps you should learn what the perks you complain about actually do before you complain about them.

So a couple things one I think clown is a pretty underrated killer and as far as m1 killers go he's probably one of the best ones so presenting him as weak I think isn't quite right.
Next regardless of how strong Clown is in relation to Huntress which sure Huntress is much stronger it doesn't change the fact that the ammo add-ons needed to go cuz it took away any penalty for the Clown missing bottles. Regardless of strength a survivor dodging 5 bottles but still going down cuz the clown still has 3 more takes away a lot of skill expression on both sides. Not to mention if you actually need that many bottles on clown that's very concerning.
Last are the add-ons are better than they look. So something a lot of people misunderstand about haste on killer is 10% haste for example does not make a 115% speed killer 125% speed. It's 10% of 115% which is 11.5 making the killer 126.5% speed. Now applying then to the clown the yellow bottles give you 10% haste if we add the 2% from the yellow soda bottle that's 12% making it 128.8% movement speed giving you an overall 2.3% speed increase over basekit. Purple Gin bottle is 129.95% meaning you're practically 130% leading to a roughly 3.5% speed increase and both add-ons together is 132.25% leading to a 5.75% increase.
Basically what this means is in my mind is they're only really worth running together as together as they're letting you gain an extra 0.25M/s in chase which is added to your base power adding something like 0.415M/s in chase idk I'm too tired to math rn so I'm estimating. But regardless for add-ons that's pretty impactful especially when you can consider that's on top of also being able to slow survivors.

-50% for four hooks until all scourage are gone and then another -30 just for a hook -200% total when all all scourage and then -240% for the pops after all pain res tokens are used that’s a total 4 gens worth of regression I didn’t know having to do 9 gens per match as a survivor was healthy but go off sis 🥰
You know Pain Res is -25% right? Not -50%?
-
You think you want this but trust me you don't. If they do the meta just becomes Corrupt/Deadlock/Grim Embrace/DMS and we enter the "you just can't do the objective half the match" meta. Most of the reason Eruption was so obnoxious was because it did the same thing and we'd be returning to that except this time killers can just ignore gens completely and let the entity blockers do all the work.
-
In the grand scheme of things I don't think DBD is toxic at all. The community is entitled, obnoxious and cries a lot but most of what I would call actual toxicity is very rare.
-
BHVR really doing everything in their power to get people to use yellow bottles.
This might do it like double speed seems nasty if you know how to use both bottles in a loop.
-
Sooooooo….
Godzilla chapter in the future? Please?

I feel this comes from a place of privilege. For some $5 is a lot esp when they just paid the money to buy the game in the first place. It's not like DBD is an f2p game. The thing is it feels like you have to have DS not to be tunnel and it is not right to make ppl feel they have to buy a dlc just so they can enjoy playing the game. You should want to buy a DLC because you like the character or content it has, not buy it out of fear of being tunneled. It's kind of like pay to win in some ways but instead of pay to win, it's pay to stay alive a little longer.
The problem also comes from the fact the killer can figure out if a player is new and bank on the fact they most likely haven't spent the money for DS and just tunnel them out. Its not hard to figure out if a player is new to dbd or not. Killer can look at play hours on stream(if the person is playing on stream) or just watch the path through the map or how they act. If someone seem kinda lost chances are they are new and the odds of them having DS is pretty low.
I'm gonna be honest, if someone is in a place where $5 is a lot they probably shouldn't be playing DBD in the first place because they have much more important things to be figuring out.
Also I disagree you have to have DS to not be tunneled, just DH and OtR is more than enough to not be speed run out of the game, DS just makes it even more effective cuz you get to waste the killers time even more and let's you use OtR and DH in the same chase.
-
Saying it's behind a paywall while accurate is also kinda goofy. It's $5, pay $5 level up Laurie and then level up David and while you level up those two you're grinding shards and then drop the 4.5k shards on Zarina congrats you now have access to the DH/DS/OtR combo and you only has to pay $5 for one of the characters and the other two are free. You can fill that 4th slot with one of the many strong free perks in the game (Adren, Balanced Landing, Bond, Prove, Unbreakable, Kindred, etc). I really feel like Otz makes the new player experience out to be so much worse than it actually is.
-
I've never met a survivor that could time it right tbh so it's funny seeing people call it OP, probably should start by looking at the nearest edge of the map as they're far less likely to come from that direction.
-
I feel like Wesker is barely even top 10, he is a far weaker version of nurse with a side quest mechanic. Like nothing is funnier to me than baiting a Wesker to go out a window, I know he's a strong killer but he's far more fair than even some killers weaker than him as in if you play very safe he shouldn't be catching you off guard at all.

I would argue OSS Report actually makes you use UVX more because it limits how many Hallucinations you can have out. Green Newspaper is good, but I haven't been able to consistently use it to the point it feels like I can use them as much as I'd want or to the point it feels deserving of being the whole killers power, which it obviously isn't since there's still full access of UVX, I'm just too stubborn to use it.
I thought that was the iri film that did that? The report I think lets you teleport more and gives the after image a terror radius and red stain.
-
Can't you already kinda do this with iri OSS report and the green newspaper?
You get to teleport more often and should be spawning hallucinations much more frequently. I know some people try to use the footcast but that's not as good as it looks it takes away 5 seconds not 15.
