It's a crutch some people can't let go of, I guess. I wonder if Self Care was outright deleted from the game if survival rates would improve.

No. Survival rates would go down.

A 50% kill rate would mean on average games are ending with 2 kills and 2 escapes. Though this can be made up with an equal number of 0Ks and 4Ks and equal number of 1Ks and 3Ks.

For example you could have a 50% kill rate with

    10 - 0Ks

    15 - 1Ks

    20 - 2Ks

    15 - 3Ks

    10 - 4Ks

    140 total kills / (70 total games * 4 survivors) = 50% kill rate

To get a 60% kill rate, 0Ks would have to be less than 4Ks and 1Ks would have to be less than 3Ks. If we move up half the current kills to the next level we get:

    5 - 0Ks

    13 - 1Ks

    17 - 2Ks

    18 - 3Ks

    17 - 4Ks

    169 total kills / (70 total games * 4 survivors) = 60% kill rate

It's really not as bad as people are making it out to be.

Wow, awesome answer. I appreciate the time invested. Now let me read and understand it.

    Killer stats after 6.1.0 patch.

What do you think about it? Does the game feel more balanced now?

What is the exact definition of "average kill rate"? 61% of 4k?

But if they gave us VC we could at least call out where killer is and exchange useful info. Even players without mics can hear and act on what people are saying. Worst case scenario it certainly can't hurt our chances at all and if ppl get toxic just mute em.

Here we are again. Fake solutions. I once played a DbD like game with VC. Guess what happened. In my first match a "mate" blow a whistle every now and then. In my second match another "mate" played loud and annoying music. In the third match a "mate" talked nonstop in some glibberish. Before the fourth match I turned VC off and finally I could play the game. VC is no solution at all, but would turn into a catastrophe.

Outside of the base-kit kindred and buffing DS, which was needed yesterday. Something I thought would be a good incentive for survivors to not be absolute potatoes in matches, is a bonus multiplier...

Meaning for every survivor that escapes, the team gets a BP bonus like .5 or etc. to their net gain in the match. This would encourage teamwork and provide a tangible incentive (other than just hook farming) to motivate solo q to not play selfishly.

I think a big issue in the game is that there's a limit on playing altruistically, and a prioritization on individual survival.

    Thoughts?

Just so you know I'm not referring to the forums I'm reffering to the actual game. Is it just me or every couple of matches theres always either a camping killer or a troll survivor or something else. I want to hear other peoples opinions on this.

5 persons play different roles, 1 killer, 4 survivors. Not all 5 persons can win. At least one person is on the winning side, at least one person is on the losing side. Persons can do toxic things, and everything that is possible is done. Also everything toxic that is possible is made.

I am so tired of camping and tunneling. I run perks like off the record and ds and I still get tunneled and killed. Keep in mind that I actually get value from these perks. Whenever I get off the hook killers come straight for me. Sometimes gens will get done the other survivors will leave but I’m dead because the killer tunnels me. Even when I don’t get tunneled the other survivors on soloque don’t do anything when I get hooked. I don’t even think making kindred base kit will fix this.

I am so tired of people complaining about camping and tunneling.

Killer is definetely more rewarding than survivor. I only think survivor can be more rewarding if you loop killer 5 gens. I do suffer more as survivor than killer but the thing is you can always blame your team being bad that's why you lost but as killer you can't blame someone else.

I do not agree. Playing survivor is much more rewarding if you take criteria like fun, interaction, simplicity, points per time factor, stress level, exhaustion, etc.

I think if survivors knows how to deal with her, she's really enjoyable to vs. I'm not winning everysingle game with her, there are some swf or really good soloq who easily beats me and having a really good impression after the match.

So... In my case, if all 4 escaped, they bumped up and praise each other. But when they lost and died, "Hag is so boring", "I hate that killer". I mean... -_- There is no way that only if you won, it was a gg and fun match.

This is not a problem of hag, but a problem of sore losers being survivors that not survived. Do you know how to close after game chat?

Well in my case, I didn't use any "overpowered" addons, I was not camping (didn't put traps under the hook) or tunneling at all. The only "irritating" thing about my playstyle was Franklin's... If people getting mad over her power, why is she still the same as before the buff?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3184481#Comment_3184481

I'm not gonna lie, I've invested a lot of time and patience into this killer, I learned her really well and I do enjoy playing her after.=)

Survivors are not used to play against her... Ain't that a skill issue of the survivors?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3184482#Comment_3184482

Survivors can play smart against her, there is a times you just can't insta hit a survivor, when they react fast. Flashlights, crouchis, defusing them while she carrying someone, I mean, so much to do against her, yet she's more irritating than nurse? Oo

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3184488#Comment_3184488

    Amm... Oke.=)

I might add, that last season I played 4 times against her, and escaped 2 times. So I am not afraid against the occassional hag.

  • @dugman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3184465#Comment_3184465

Ah I see, I misunderstood you, when you said “20% chance to win” I thought you meant “20% chance to escape” which wouldn’t be correct.

As far as the breakdown on the aggregate site, it’s

    • 0 kills 20%
    • 1 kill 18%
    • 2 kills 13%
    • 3 kills 18%
    • 4 kills 31%

So if you go by the 3-4 kill is a win, 0-1 is a loss and 2 is a tier metric then it’s about a 49% chance of a killer win, a 13% chance of a draw and a 38% chance of a survivor team win.

You still would have to separate between swf and solo q. And even if I solo q I can meet a 3 swf or 2swf without knowing it.

In my matches (swf and solo q):

    0 kills: 15%

    1 kill: 20%

    2 kills: 9%

    3 kills: 20%

    4 kills: 36%

This equals your numbers, and so there would be a 56% chance in my survivor matches, that the killer wins. So we calculated the chance for killers to win. But how to calculate the chance for survivors to win? It is either escape or die. And in my matches (solo q only) this ratio is 31,19%.

  • @Grigerbest said:

Hello, just played couple of matches with Hag and I'm starting to get more and more of these end-game chat "rages"... I made a screenshots of the second match, I didn't in the first.

I'm playing Hag really "fair" (as survivors consider), I don't put traps under the hooks, I don't camp or tunnel, just picked up 3 gens and trap around them, making the web from the beggining.

2 Survivors was able to do 2 gens while other 2 were constantly going around my web, "playing with traps" and tried to get me into the chase. Then all 4 survivors made out to my web, and thats where the match was pretty over.

The match end up really badly for survivors, I did gave one of them hatch.

The map was: Coldwind Farm. Because of a Heart locket.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/XBLSGP3ZYL48/1.png

In the end-chat, both matches I was getting these:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/IO73LW4Z2HM1/2.png

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/M68UFIO9XBGK/3.png

Just wanna ask... Is this a "skill issue" of the survivors? Too much of op killer? Or just casual outrage?

Yes, I was hiding my traps in the grass, but some of them were pretty in the open, they've seen them and still was getting hit by them.

I just don't understand how Hag is so "irritating" to play against comparing her to other "irritating" killers like Nurse.

You are prestige 12 with hag. So you invest points from other matches into her or you are pretty used to play her. Many survivors are not used to play against her. In the hands of an average player she is pretty weak, no chance to chase, quite immobile.

  • @dugman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3184233#Comment_3184233

Your math is a bit off because there isn’t a single lone winner in the match because multiple survivors escaping is much more likely than a single lone survivor escaping.

The aggregate site I follow has an overall kill rate of about 55%, up from about 49% prior to the big perk reworks. That seems about in line with other estimates I’ve seen so I think that 55% number is pretty good for the overall among non-new players. (It’s probably a few percent higher if you add in relatively new players). It doesn’t differentiate between solo and swf, and the devs numbers have implied there’s about a 4% increase in escape rate or so per extra person in your swf (so it’s like +4% if you are in a 2 person swf, +8% for 3 and +12% for 4). So that 55% is probably something like a 50% kill rate again 4 person swfs up to about a 63% kill rate against solo queues. (Note that this estimate isn’t that far off from your 31% escape rate in pure solo queue.)

I can't follow your logic. Your math is as off as mine, I think.

If you add the likelihood of 2 survivors escaping, 3 survivors escaping and 4 survivors escaping, this is not the point. The point is the personal chance to survive for every player. 5 players, at least 1 must win, we can start with 20%. Then, out of my 127 matches, 46 times 0 survivors escaped, meaning the killer won wih 4k. 24 times 1 survivor escaped, meaning, the escaped survivor and the killer won, because a 3k counts as a win. 12 times 2 survivors escaped, meaning, the escaped survivors won and the killer got a tie. 26 times 3 survivors escaped, meaning these survivors won and the killer lost. 19 times all survivors escaped, meaning all survivors won and the killer lost. So, one day perhaps I am going to calculate the odds, but it seems to be tricky.

Unfortunately Mandy confirmed a while back that even though a replay system that automatically attached a game file to an ingame ticket for customer service is something the devs would like to have available they determined that for technical reasons it’s not feasible for them to implement it. It’s a real shame because having a video file or even better some sort of replay file that could be automatically attached to a service ticket would be a win-win since it would mean customer service always gets the right attachment on all its tickets and players don’t have to have the tech savvy to be constantly recording all their own games. Not to mention if the server generated the replay file for the ticket it could hypothetically include the perspectives of all five players, not just the video from the perspective of the one player submitting the ticket.

So this is one of those things everybody wants in the game but that just isn’t going to be in it. 🙁

These are bad news, but I do not slap the messenger. Thank you for informing us.

people think killer got buffed or else, but it's even worse than ever.

just do a single freaking match in high MMR and you realize how gens are so fast, maps are so big and m1 killers are so slow. just do 1 chase and you'll see how much fast gens get popped by the other 3 people.

and don't start with the SOLOQ thing, i know this is a SWF sided game, i feel the soloq pain too, but once you meet a SWF, this game is busted. you become a plaything for survivors.

i'm honestly tired to play a match and having to rely on tunneling or camping to get 1-2 kills per match because of this ridiculous gen speed and this huge map size

no wonder everyone plays NURSE and BLIGHT.

i'll say it again, BVHR is doing everything to pamper survivors (profits-wise) and doing everything to make the killer main players to definitely abandon this bs game.

DBD used to be fun once, now it's all about sweating, tryharding and getting stressed to get just one kill. how disappointing.

You're right. Playing killer is tiring, exhausting and not much fun. I played killer from 2016 to 2019, up to rank 1 at the time, and then switched to Survivor. Playing survivor is significantly more relaxing, rewarding and fun. I only play killer when I can't avoid it due to progress in rift. Otherwise, I play survivor or watch streamers playing Killer on high MMR. And it's clear that they often suffer.

Swf who play together more often >> Killer

    Killer > average solo q

    Newbie killer > newbie survivor

You put YOUR account ID in the ticket. They can match your ID from the ticket with the game that was flagged by your ID in-game. Even if you flagged several games, I'm pretty sure they can link couple videos with couple games, they have enough information at their end.

Thank you for your answer. This approach makes sense in a way. But what about the players who don't have software installed to record matches? Or those who have software but rarely use it? Or who, like me, record every match but don't send in links because they don't think BHVR is doing anything? After all, I saw it in 2016 when a gamebreaking bug (Myers with chainsaw or Killer with the Perk Bond) occurred before Christmas and BHVR did not prevent this problem until late January 2017?

No, DbD is not balanced. It never was. Nor will it ever be. Your data has the problem of the small number. In statistics, you can only do something with data from 30.

I played 127 matches as survivor in the season that ends tomorrow. Of these, 92 matches were in solo q. Of these, I escaped in 31.19%. I think that's a very high score. There are 5 people participating in a match. If at least 1 person has to win in each match, the expected value for my win rate would be 1/5, or 20%. That 20% includes an inaccuracy, so you can't really calculate it that way. However, IMO it is a workable estimate.

I played 18 killer matches, partly because of the rift challenges. 18 is too few to make any statements.

  • @bm33 said:

When you report in game the match gets flagged and you just need to send video proof in a support ticket. It's actually better now because you don't need someone's steam ID to report them, something players on other platforms had no access to.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3166280#Comment_3166280

How can this work? A match is flagged, a video link is emailed, and then? How does BHVR assign the flag to the video? I don't see that this can work.

When reporting a player ingame, DbD should automatically archive the last match and automatically assign it.

It kind of is though, provided the killer has an instant-down ability and you not require the killer’s face literally be phased into the hookee to fit the definition.

I had a match earlier where a bubba stood maybe a foot away from someone dying on hook and me bleeding out at his feet. There was only 1 other person up. I wasn’t really mad, more of a ‘Really? We’re doing this are we?’ vibe. He tried to hide a bit after it was just me and a Kate left while keeping LOS on me but I kept crawling to where he was obviously visible. Thankfully the Kate was smart enough to stay away, he hooked me, and Kate ended up getting hatch.

Since when do you play DbD? Have you been playing since 2016 when there was real facecamping?

Facecamping was and is when the killer physically blocks the only point where a survivor has to stand to be able to unhook a hooked survivor. If you can't motivate the killer to move, he can force the sacrifice on the first hook, with shorter hook times than now. THIS is facecamping. It was fixed by giving the hooks a rotation, and thus multiple unhook points. So there is no more facecamping in DbD. And that is good.

As for your match: it's sad that some killers play like that. But I don't see it as a big problem. My excel sheet says that it happened to me exactly 5 times like that or similar in 127 matches in the season that ends tomorrow. That would be 3.93%. Why should I whine about it?

  • @ActualPainedFrog said:

This is by far my biggest pet peeve in the entire game. I get that some people do it with good intentions, but the select few people who make me walk to them and bm me as I force them out really get to me. So typically what I do is afk in the basement, but of course, the survivors being the lovely individuals they are, will sit there for the entire 2 minutes and hold me hostage in the match. If you want to hit me hook, fine, if you want to teabag me after dropping a pallet, that's fine too, but when you literally waste my time, that's when I get upset, and the justification that "the killer can end it when they want to" just simply doesn't work when some killers don't want to deal with needless toxicity.

Honestly, I always stop in the exit when not all Survivors have escaped. As soon as everyone is out who is still alive, I go right out.

But I remember the old days when survivors would give the killer the "free hit" as a sign of respect and to give the killer some extra points. Sometimes I do both together. I have never teabagged in the exit.

Solo survivor games have become much more painful & duo survivor games are still really bad, I feel like adding a voice chat for a team in game would help the survivors have some way of coordination, instead of constantly playing through unfun, no gameplay situations.

I was there, I experienced it (in another game that is like DbD).

Match 1: one of the teammates blew a whistle regularly.

Match 2: one of the teammates spoke in glibberish.

Match 3: I disabled voice chat so I could finally play.

Survivor love to troll a killer. With voice chat they would get a way to troll other survivors. It would be a waste of time and money to add voice chat. It would be better to look for real solutions to fix the solo q.

Ok, then I guess the question is since when can’t humans try and push a rude person in front of them out of the way?

And so a new game mode was invented: the Survivors fight each other, and the winner is let go by the referee aka Killer. Great idea.

  • @Wayol The voice saying "Dead by daylight" is one of the best parts in this game. You can thank me now.

  • I document each of my matches in an excel spreadsheet. In 5 of my 123 matches as a survivor this season, the killer has camped. In 3 of those 5 matches, at least one survivor escaped. When the killer camps me, it's no fun, that's for sure. But 5 /123 are 4% of the matches. That's not worth mentioning, and most importantly, it's not a problem.

Yes, I agree. It sucked. If a killer decided to facecamp the hooked survivor was dead without a chance to escape. So facecamping got fixed.

It's actually not a bad system, for killers. Number of kills when averaged over the course of dozens of games isn't too far off being a decent gauge of skill.

For survivors however it's too unreliable. An escape isn't necessarily earned and a death isn't necessarily your fault.

The idea of having survivors share MMR gains for a game wouldn't be too bad, but the problem is how you to factor in the escape of another survivor in your game if you died first and leave it to queue for another game before they escape?

It is logical. Winning as a survivor is to survive, winning as a killer is to kill.

Please explain to me how stunning a killer ONCE is toxic? You have still failed to do this. My only intention was to make him lose sight of the person he was tunneling the was no intent to be toxic or annoying. I just wanted to help a teammate escape. Isn’t that the role of survivor? I have no idea what the other person felt all I know that they seemed to take it personally. As someone who plays killer daily I don’t understand how someone could be tilted by one stun. If someone actually gave me a well thought out response why it would have upset them I would consider this and change. By the way, stop telling me what my thoughts are. You don’t know one thing about me.

Your story just doesn't add up. You claim that you once used Head on and that the killer took that, and only that, personally. You claim to have chosen Head on for a daily. I have never seen a daily that calls for Head on. Then you claim to have helped a fleeing survivor. But Head on has a cooldown of 3 seconds until it is usable. If a survivor is unhooked and fleeing and you see the killer tunnels, you don't have time to jump into a locker and wait 3 seconds. The story didn't happen the way you want us to believe. And since you don't have a recording of the match, we can't figure out what really happened. I can't figure out what the truth is, and I'm less and less interested in making assumptions.

So for me, I'll put an end to this communication here. As I said, your point that behind every survivor and killer sits a player with feelings is the most important one, and, if you like, you could do some soul-searching and examine your stance on that.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I don't record my games. What a strange comment. I had Head On equipped because I was doing a challenge where I had to use it. You know I really do hate you calling me toxic and wish you would cut it out. I'm actually a player who goes out of my way to avoid it at all costs. I understand there is another person behind the screen that has feelings.

I'm glad you mentioned it because that's the most important point: behind every survivor and killer is a player with feelings. What do you think the killer felt when you asked him for attention with Head on? We both know because you told us how he reacted.

You got on his nerves in the match, intentionally and toxically, or, which would be worse in my opinion, unintentionally and toxically. If you don't notice toxic patterns because you're reassured by the idea that you shouldn't take a game too seriously, I can't say anything more about it, only be amazed. The point is, games shouldn't be taken too seriously, you're right about that. But if other players want to get on your nerves, you can take that seriously.

Stunning a killer to help someone escape tunnelling is toxic now? Good lord! Guess it confirms my point. People take actions way too seriously in this game.

If you had "Head on" with you, you must have selected it before the match. Which survivors take "Head on" with them? Survivors who want to record a video with meme content, or toxic survivors who want to get on the killer's last nerve. Where is the video of the match? Oh, you don't have one? All right.

No I didn't want to taunt him. I just wanted to give the other person a breather.

You wanted to give another person a breather by taunting the killer. The killer killed you for the taunt. I would have done the same. Good thing I play most of my matches as survivor and punish other mates for being toxic.

I do think there is a lot of people who take actions way too seriously in game. I've even been guilty of it. Not too long ago in a game of mine a Slinger was chasing someone who was just unhooked. I thought I would take the heat and used Head On on them. I got hook for it. Fair play, I took the heat and that's the risk. But after that they proceeded to ignore every other survivors and just tunneled me for the rest of the match. I died during ECG but because they spent all their time on me everyone else go out. The way they acted you'd assume I burnt down their house or something. It was one stun. Calm down.

What I read is: you wanted to taunt him and in the end you were successful. And then he paid you back in ingame coin.

  • There is an easy solution to your problem: relax, chill.

In my rare killer matches (13% of all my matches last month), if I could hook up a survivor I could easily hunt for the third time, I leave him and go hunt somewhere else. I ignore this survivor for a while and let him make some blood points first. If you can hang all survivors three times because the other survivors unhook everyone twice, you have enough interaction and match time to get your pips.

You killed Yui when he had 6443 blood points. That's not good for Yui and not good for you.

To avoid misunderstandings, I do not recommend that you farm blood points. I'm recommending that you take it down a notch and kill less effectively when you're clearly superior.

I've been maining The Twins for a few days now, been having a ton of fun playing around with builds to see whats possible with them, but it feels like I win A LOT. Like, A LOT and I'm not sure if its that I'm really good, if the Survivors are really bad, or if people just see them so rarely that they don't really know how to play against them. Sometimes I get veteran survivors who know how to waste my time pretty well, and I'm 100% sure they have to be using comms to be able to do what they do, but other than that its a straight slaughter. Just wanted to know what other people's feelings were towards them.

Great idea of a killer, but in reality pretty weak killer that needs a buff. In the last month I had 2 matches as survivor against twins. I lost one and I won one.

Some of us come from other games where teabagging is absolutely not an insult, and is often hullo or something friendly. Personally, anyways. Flashlight clickeys are clearly hostile, but maybe instead of "teabagging", which could either be interpreted as unsportsmanshiplike or horny, maybe we could look at it as the glorious results of daily leg days?

And also, don't you think it's really cute?

Like if an old grandpa like Bill did squats at 20 reps per minute, that'd be downright amazing/hilarious,

and if a pretty lady did that in front of you, wouldn't it actually be a pleasant sight?

I'd be worried for their knees, but it'd be nice to see, and that feeling kinda translates into games too.

No, nothing about teabagging is cute. Teabagging in DbD is, since 2016, a sign of disrespect towards the killer. You just have to go to streams of main survivors, see when they teabag and what they say about it.

    I have two personal rules:

if I play survivor (87% of my matches) and I see someone teabagging, I don't help him anymore.

if I play killer (13% of my matches) and someone disrepects me, he goes on my personal hate list. Then I become completely cold-blooded, I first kill his mates away and then I take care of the teabag. Quietly and enjoyably. Last month it happened in 2 out of 18 matches and I reached my goal.

I had a survivor complain about me camping. To be fair I did camp.

    2 survivors dead.

    All gens completed

I down 1 of the last 2 survivors and hook. I proxy camp that hook while the other survivor opens the gate.

Instead of leaving, they come and attempt to save and I get the hook grab.

Apparently camping in that situation is not the right move. Apparently I was supposed to go to the gate to get the last survivor so both could escape through the second gate.

You have made the right decision. I, when I played survivor, was recently already at the end of the exit and decided not to escape, but to try to help a hooked up mate. I did not succeed and we both died. I don't blame the killer for that, he did everything right. It was my decision.

    こんにちは。

I see this title and content as saying "Killers don't kill survivors, don't hook survivors, don't leave survivors alone, entertain them and make sure they get out", am I mistaken?

Should we create a thread called "Generators, Rescues, Boards, and Windows?"

What is camp for survivors? Is it a problem for the killers to stay near the hooks to be more efficient and increase the number of executions? Or is it frustrating that the other three make their escape and you, the competent scapegoat who has attracted the most Killer attention, are unable to escape?

What is tunneling for the survivor? Do you understand which is more efficient for the killer to go after the healthy survivor or the injured survivor after the survivor has been rescued? Should it be forbidden to go after a survivor after they have been rescued no matter what?

What is slugging for the survivor? If a survivor is right next to a downed person, do you have to carry him or her immediately without injuring or downing him or her? Or is it impermissible to have a vision of executing everyone after the downing of one of the two remaining survivors?

Does the cover of the Survivor's Rulebook say "DbD of the survivors, by the survivors, for the survivors"?

If you have to carry a survivor down immediately, if you have to leave immediately after hooking them, and if you are not allowed to target rescued survivors no matter what, then "DbD is not a game of choice".

What I really want you to know is that unless you are casual, you are playing with the goal of executing killers, just as survivors play with the goal of escaping.

If you think that camping, tunneling, and slugging is anyone's idea of maliciously trying to make survivors feel uncomfortable, you are wrong. If one does it with malicious intent, it is TOXIC. I would despise it too.

We should be able to understand each other. Survivors and killers should both have a mutual, if not casual, desire to win.

I understand your frustration with camping, tunneling and slugging. But I do not think they should be banned. I do think we should add some incentive or feature for survivors when they do that.

    sorry poor my english

Very excellent analysis. Thank you for you comment.

They do teabag a lot less if they're dead.

That said, I think that the teabagging/flashlight clicking survivors are pretty much the same thing as the camping/tunneling/slugging killers.

At first I was only considering the survivor side of this argument because I experience it more often. Then I remembered what its like to go against a swf group full of teabagging flashlight survivors. I try to stay away from those when I see them in solo queue. I literally feel offended when I'm standing next to an obsessive teabagger. It's embarassing. I can see why killers camp/tunnel/slug more clearly now.

    True words.

Pretty much like the current incentives work only say Twins would have it or Hag or whatever killers are least played at the time in order to try and promote killer diversity in matches.

Incentives for weak killers would be to buff weak killers.

Does Deadlock mess with Pain Resonance? Like if you are about to hook someone and they finish a gen, does that prevent Pain Res from giving it's 15% progress reduction, do you know?

I'm getting tired of kicking gens so I actually just started running this build as well, may I ask what your 4th perk slot is preferrably?

Hahah I was actually wondering the same thing :P

In my opinion kicking generators is too time consuming. I try to avoid it, eg. by using Jolt.

Excel sheet? 115 matches as survivor since 13th of August, and 18 matches as killer. I do not make up numbers, I calculate them. I can add a lot of informations regarding my matches. In 115 matches as survivor I met 14 times the huntress, witth a win ratio of 42,86%. Second in line was the nurse, 10 matches with a win ratio of 50%. I never played (since 13th of August) against a spirit, a demogorgon or artist. Most played map was Lampkin Lane, 9 times, with a win ratio of 44,44%.

Most played killer with 11 of 18 matches was spirit with 8 wins.

Just out of curiosity. How do you know that 13% of your games are killer games? Can you see that anywhere or have you been tracking your own games? Or is that just a random number you chose?

Yeah, and this needs to be replaced by a punishment, the more gens that are remaining when the first kill happens, the stronger remaining survivors are in pushing gens and lasting longer in chase untill all gens are finished.

That way, killing 1 survivor ASAP is no longer the best strategy and could even turn the game around if the killer is too greedy for a kill.

I personally believe the healthiest balance for the game is if, on average, the first survivor dies with 1 gen remaining, then the second dies, on average, when all gens are done, then, again on average, the 4th survivor will escape and the 3rd survivor has about a 50% survival rate.

That would give 2.5 kills for killers on average, keep the gameflow fun throughout the match in general and punishes greed.

The slowdown patch literally made survivor greed much harder by slowing down gens, making chase overall shorter and granting a basekit mini-Pop on kicking a generator. So why not a patch that punishes killer greed by granting a mini-DS on being tunneled? And if they still push on to kill due to whatever benefit they gained through soloQ by increasing all survivor action speeds by 10% for each generator remaining when the first survivor dies, untill all gens are done?

    So you are saying:

    1. you want free escapes, meaning free wins for survivors
    2. you want punish killers for doing their objective

Hey everyone. Can yall give some perk ideas to help with Gen rushes? I already use Discordance which is helpful but sometimes two are on one and Another two are on the other. I start a chase which does not take long then by the time I hook, two or three gens are already completed. This happens. Not every match of course but I would like some tips or ideas please. I do suck at perk builds.

I rarely play killer (13% of my matches). On my spirit I play the combination of jolt, pain resonance and dead man switch. I find it very strong.
