  • They have to die on hook or by mori. If even one of the bled out you will not get the achievement as you did not kill those they died of bled out and that does not make entity happy.

  • You need to hold forward key when doing the charge. If you don't that happens. Its always worked like that.

  • They should change the daily rituals to be separate for survivors and killers or give people choice between either killer or survivor ritual when getting one. This would make them more user friendly and would benefit everyone. Like they could make it a setting too that you could set to only give you one side rituals or randomly both.

  • I tested it on custom game and the addon was working like descriped. Got stunned and had my power recharged even while using Enduring. You might want to list what other perks and addons you were using and if you were playing the event queue or normal. Are you 100% sure you were using the right tape?

Pretty sure the block list does nothing. BHVR ENCOURAGES toxic players

The block only stops people from sending you friend request in the in game friend list.

  • It was like that two DLC's ago and then it got corrected a DLC ago and after the Castlevania DLC its back being wrong.

  • I would say Behavior nailed the balance with Finesse. Its decent perk with good cooldown and other requirements make it balanced. Still there would be no point of making it exhaustion perk as its totally not worth using when there is way better exhaustion perks.

  • Items don't have an aura unless you have something that shows the aura like Plunderer's Instinct.

  • It blocks their friend requests if you are using the ingame friendlist system but if you play on steam it does not use it.

i get that, but if you could just block good players, imagine a toxic swf or killer that just block everything they cant beat and harass the rest?

I have seen some toxic streamers who were doing that. They blocked all their teammates blaming them of losing the match when the streamer was the worst player in the group. Could not facepalm harder after seeing it as I knew that block does not do really anything.

  • Yeah noticed this while doing some testing and had to create a trap by hooking one bot in the basement and blocking all exits with traps and waiting seeing distance. Another bot disarms a trap and goes down I go reset the trap and push them out and only then one of them would step on one. They 100% time manage to dodge the traps before that.

  • I would be happy if they just made it so that in bat form he can't kick gens or pallets. Like currently there is no real reason to get out of bat mode until you are right on top of the survivor. This would at least force the killer to change if he wants to get rid of a pallet or kick a gen and could not stay in that form.

  • I have to admit that I rarely even watch the moris as seen them way too many times. Still finishing mori is fine even if its annoying when people slug and leave you on the ground waiting the other to die on the hook. I myself would not bother would just hook the other one while the other died as its faster and the mori is not that important.

It isn't stronger than before the nerf, as long as it requires chases then it'll always be far weaker, more precisely it'll be weaker for those who need it more than the ones who don't.

Most people who used Distortion (contrary to popular belief) were newcomers/casuals/people who knew they would go down in seconds if they got found quickly, so they used Distortion to be able to do gens/go for saves in relative safety, they didn't hide all match, you don't need Distortion for that (after all, there's still threads about "Survivors hiding forever" even after Distortion was killed off, rats will just crouch edge-map and go from lockers to lockers).

Those people who used Distortion to be able to play the game a tad longer and help their team more than if they went down in less than 20 seconds now have no reliable defense against aura-reading, since Distortion now requires being in chase and almost every chases will end rather swiftly and on a hook.

Whether it's 30, 15 or 5 seconds doesn't change much; casuals/newcomers/bad loopers will get minimal value while good loopers who can make Killers drop chase semi-consistently will get far more value out of it. It's a perk to help hide that requires not hiding, they should have simply tied token recharge to gen repairs instead so people would need to do gens to avoid aura-reading (and doing gens automatically puts you in the Killer's path and helps the team).

Well I have been saying that people are blaming Distortion of a playing style of certain people. Its not the perks fault of how people play and people will still play like that even without the perk. I suggested way better way to nerf it to make it have limited uses in a match but devs wanted it to charge in chases and at least they gave it two tokens and not just one and now this buff might make it little bit stronger. Still it will be rarely seen perk that is not that effective when you lose one of the tokens during or after the chase you gain it and if you manage to keep the other it also will be gone in 5-10 minutes most likely if not faster.

  • In my opinion this was a good change. After the change it was way easier to get value out of the perk and 60 seconds let you walk from other side of the map to the other easily. Good killers could use that time to snowball the match quite fast if survivors did not play well. Still it losing 15 seconds is not going to kill it just make it more tolerable.

  • If I am not wrong you don't get 100% after the match it gives you +100% on all event scoring events. This happens during the match so any pumpkin you kick or void energy you use etc. you get +100% on those scoring events. It does not work like a cake that only adds the bonus on the total bloodpoints you got from the match.

  • Totally fine change too 30 seconds was way too long to gain any tokens.

  • Well it makes sense that you would only see killers aura if the other survivor loses health stage because of the killers attack. Like so it does not activate with perks like plot twist or for the people that has nothing to do with the killer. So don't see a problem with this change.

  • Are you 100% they did not just cleanse dull totems. Tinkerer also makes a loud noise notification when it activates so you might have mistaken that for hex totem getting destroyed when they just cleansed dull totems.

  • I only dislike the down the second last survivor then hunt the last one like I did hate it before the change as its boring play style and in reality just waste of every ones time. Now its also those that wait for the other to die on hook to get the mori as it also wastes time. Like if they get it in normal gameplay that is fine but in the end I rarely even watch the mori even if I am the one getting moried as I have seen them so many times that there is nothing that interesting in them even when I play killer. Its like looking at the hook animation at this point. Only one I recently watched was the Dracula's new cosmetics mori because it was the first time I saw it in the match.

Can't wait for them to add more mori animations for killers so you can at least be surprised of what the mori looks like than just being the generic one for that killer.

  • Some reason the event description button to go to the event tome usually takes you to later pages than the first even if they are not available. Been doing that in past events too.

  • You might want to check your filters that you are not accidentally hiding some of your items. Like you might be showing everything else than the event items so you don't see them. The button right side of the search bar in your pictures if you don't know what I am talking about.

  • It does not work in endgame collapse as there is no other thing for the killer to do than guard the person on the hook. If it would be a thing survivors would have easy time saving and escaping.

  • Its funny that quite often one of the main reason why survivor side loses it SWF. They usually try too much to get their friends to survive that they forget that them getting downed or losing health stages is just going to hinder the survivor side. I have played enough matches where someones friend have to try to stop killer from hooking their friend in expense of everything. Usually it ends up them getting hurt or even downed and we are worse off as now that one needs to heal and the guy is still on the hook. Like yes if you get good group that knows how to be effective it can be really hard to win but in the end most of them will do something stupid that will even cost them the match.

  • Yeah desych issues is listed in the Known Issues list so they are working on it.

  • It does not effect Alert for some reason but works on all other perks I have seen so far. Its been reported before here.

    @Eareland said:

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: It seems like Eyes of Belmont doesn't prolong Alert's aura reading effect, but Belmont prolongs it's own effect when generator is done (by 2 seconds, as supposed to).

    PLATFORM: PC (Steam)

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: There's not much anything else to say about this.

    VIDEO:

Here you can see and compare times with using Alert only and using both perks. If anyone can tell is the problem with Alert or Eyes of Belomont itself, please tell.

    Alert Only

    https://streamable.com/pd9xup

    Both perks

    https://streamable.com/omyip1

I put both videos through video editor and checked timings frame by frame to see that Belmont doesn't prolog Alert's aura reading effect.

  • You are in endgame collapse the anti-camp turns off after the last gen is done. so not a bug.

  • Yeah some reason sometimes when you go from event window using the button it will make you go to the last page of the tome and no the first. Has happened to me few times in past events.

  • What are you reporting as there is nothing looking odd in the video? Like be more specific of what you are stating to be the bug and what it looks like.

  • When this was happening last time I think it had something to do with the game thinking that the survivor in question was interacting with some object in the trail like a gen, chest etc. One way to clear it was to fix the gen to the end or finish the other interactions that was causing it. Second way was to enter a locker as it cleared the interaction and you were able to be healed again.

  • There is something going on causing it as I could use it last time I played just fine. It could also be good to check perks and what things are effecting the player at the time trying as there could be some interaction there that causes the bug.

  • My last solo match was against Mastermind in RPD using Hex: Plaything, Hex: Blood Favor, Hex: Undying and Hex: Pentimento. We get two gens done before snowball started. It looked quite bad and we lost one survivor. Still three of us left kept playing smart looping the killer taking out the Pentimento totems while fixing rest of the gens. Killer got 2k in the end because I intentionally kept him on the other side of the map to give the others time to fix the last gen. I ended up running out of loops but they got the gen done. Killer then hooks me and camps me. Being on my second hook I hang on seeing what the other two will do. They 99% door near the helipad and come to get me from the other side of the map. One of them gets hooked and the other gets chased I manage to save the hooked guy and we both leave while the other survivor gets killed on the hook as she was on the third hook.

Pentimento is not a problem its totally dealable even with four random players if you play smart and keep track on the totems. I even solo fixed the third gen through Pentimento its going to slow you down yes but its not impossible to finish gens under its effect.

  • It can happen with any killer. Had this happen to my body when it got morid in RPD and the floor stayed see through where my corpse was.

  • Or they could make it so that if you only use one Scourge Hook perk you get the normal four and then every other Scourge Hook perk increases the amount of Scourge Hooks by one. This would make it be better to have several of them and not just run Pain Resonance. This would for example make Hangman's Trick useful again as you can have max seven Scourge Hooks on top and the four in the basement if you use Monstrous Shrine too.

  • This achievement is in the same category as Outbreak Breakout. Its going to take you time to get if you don't get lucky. I myself am not sweating about it even if I like collecting achievements but I like getting them with normal gameplay as it feels better than trying to gain them intentionally.

There is several perks to find totems in the game

Counterforce, Detective's Hunch, Clairvoyance, and Small Game. And they're all pretty bad even for being anti-totem perks, except maybe Clairvoyance.

One Detective Hunch and you most of the time know where every totem is on the map. Only on the biggest maps you might not see one or two of them. Counterforce makes cleansing totems so easy that even if killer pops the Pentimento to a cleansed totem you can cleanse it now even faster.

  • If this is so huge problem why aren't you guys running perks to find the totems. There is several perks to find totems in the game and they are not that hard to find if you use one of them. This to me sounds more of people complaining that they are running a build that does not counter the killers build and that is totally normal for a game with so many possibilities.

  • Seems like this is not only one model problem as there is report here with one of the female characters having odd eye movements reported little while ago.

  • What are you using to increase the movement speed of other survivors?

  • Can confirm no noise notification when survivor gets unhooked.

You mean bad killer mains. To a good killer, distortion even pre nerf is more often a nerf to survivors. Its just fun for them and supports their playstyle. Not everyone wants to be a chase god, and now the survivors that actually cant handle chases, but are still good at completing objectives are just gonna feed the killer and get themselves hooked for nothing.

Like for me Distortion was never a problem as a killer.

yeah, 3 tokens will go fast, if as usual, we apply forum logic where we take the extreme end of things and apply it to a general match. So, sure, 3 tokens will go fast when killer brings 4 aura perks and singles you, the distortion user, out.

you can still use the perk, you just have to earn your 2 tokens, big deal. If you want to stealth you can do that but you'll need to use more brain power to know when to get in a locker, when to crouch behind a gen or walk away if you correctly guess killer is coming your way, etc. You can't just freely mind your business all match because distortion has you covered; perfectly fine. Learn to play the game.

I prefer to take chase because it's engaging but I know when to do gens, save, heal and when I can just stealth a bit to avoid an unnecessary chase so I can finish a gen. I don't need distortion. If the killer finds me because of my aura so what, he's focused on me and hopefully my teammates do something with this time

You clearly have not ever used the perk. I have used it several times and those three tokens most of the time are gone in about two hooks or less. Them getting into chase is not contributing to the team at all really. Them saving people from hooks would contribute and cause them to end up chased anyway as killers usually come back to the hook. This way they did something useful even before they got chased. In my opinion way better outcome than them getting into stupid chase that they most likely will anyway lose and people will still complain how they can't even loop.

So your solution is to turn those same distortion users into locker rats. There are no other aura counter perks and they wont just stop using stealth gameplay. The perk was already a dead slot for survivors. It's already a rather big weakness having that perk in chase and this change only makes it worse. With aura perks being stronger then ever, if anything you'll see even more distortion user's regardless of the nerf since there's no other counter. The game's just turned into a gen rush/tunneling simulator instead of your so called gen simulator.

Not to mention he only sees that one Distortion user because he pays attention to him because of playing style not because of the perk. The perk is just what gets blamed of the person playing style.

the entire point is to stop rewarding players who use exclusively use it to hide and sell their 3 non-distortion teammates to the killer; hence why you only get tokens if you participate in chases too and not just gen simulator…

My suggestion would stop it but this chase thing will just kill the perk. Three tokens go fast if the killer has aura perks and you could not hide forever on my version as that was the main gripe any against is was complaining about. The people who play like people think every Distortion user played are not going to change their playing style. They will use other perks and other game mechanics and still keep hiding. Destroying a perk is not going to effect their playing style. Its treating a symptom not the cause.

This is still a very good perk, it's just downgraded from the rank brain dead S+++ to S+ You can just run shift w and that will give you enough time to get 1 token, add windows and pallets here and you won't see the difference, the only problem is if you fall in less than 30 seconds (skill issues) or if the killer spent everything slots for aura (you can just gen rush)

Sorry but its nowhere near S+ its now about D- if not lower.

  • Yep its was bad change in my opinion.

I would have changed it to give you three tokens at the start and then you get them back when you get unhooked from the hook. This would give you top nine tokens to use during the match. Only other way to get a token back would be unhooking other survivors safely but can't have more than the max three tokens. This would make the perk work better and force the hider to go unhook if they want more tokens. This would be better than some charge in chase but at least they changed it to two tokens instead of the single use it was in PTB.

  • Yeah totem spawns should never be next to survivors that spawn in or at least not visible to the survivor spawn spot so at least they should have to move to see the totem.

  • I still think linking the charging to chase is not the rightway to go about it. I would have changed the perk to give you 3 tokens in the start of the match then you get them back everytime you get unhooked. Only other way to get a token is to do a save unhook on another survivors. This would limit the tokens and make survivors danger themselves by going to unhook. This quite often causes them to get chased the same goal devs wanted to happen but would be way more effective for the normal survivor gameplay than making the perk load from chases where aura reading is not that useful for killers anyway.

  • Or you could just make the charge to be from fixing gens like at least 30% but when you jump into locker the generator that gets fake blown is the furthest generator from you.

  • Like this would not change anything if person wants out of the match they will just AFK on the hook or run to the killer again to get hooked. It will not change anything else than make them stay in the match for little bit longer. You are not going to get rid of a problem by removing a game feature just because some people abuse it as they will just do it other way.
