I have done this once as bubba. Right at the start of a game on midwich. All crowded in a doorway after popping spawn offering. I have a clip of it on my pc somewhere. Superior feeling that was.
I wish I recorded it on mine. It was on an Old Coldwind map, and for some reason all four of them were around the same hook.

He's trying to call Batman for Commissioner Gordon.
-
It's almost like lower skill players don't wanna deal with your nonsense.
-
Probably either the first time I landed a 24+ meter hatchet on Huntress or the time I got all four Survivors with a single Chainsaw Sweep on Bubba.

- Yeah.
- Yeah.
- All I’m gonna say is, there’s a reason genuinely good killer players do just fine even without regression on weaker killers.
- Okay.
- Okay.
- Okay.
- Okay.
- Okay.
- Hiding and refusing to work on gens actually IS bannable by the way.
- Taking out game balance frustrations on people who have no say over game changes is childish. Grow up.
- Okay.
- Niceties are nice, but shouldn’t be expected of either side.
Ah yes. The classic "good killers don't need to do X" catchphrase. So popular, it should be on a t-shirt.
-
Because Bubba camping is game throwing. Your team has to massively screw up for him to get a 4K, even with Deadlock.
You know why people REALLY hate Bubba camping? Because SWFs are obsessed with the four man escape. Absolutely obsessed. They froth at the mouth if they can't save their last man. Drives them insane.
When my friends and I play, we are happy for one of us to throw ourselves on the grenade for the 3 man escape.
But the hardcore SWFs will REEEEEEEEE about "counterplay".
-
My main issue with Dead Hard is that I am still seeing it every game now.
-
I think it is funny that people want the hook to move if a killer is near it. You do realize as a killer I can weaponize this right?
Hmm. No, I don't like you being hooked here. Oh look, her comes Jane! Let me just stand right here aaaaand...
POOF!
Get rekt, Jane! Your Princess is in another castle! Better hurry up, Red Forest is a big map and it looks like Dave here is about to Stage 2....
-
I know I am probably in the minority here, but if someone DC's and I have my reason for coming in done (Hits out of Stealth, Hatchets, etc) then I just everyone who wasn't a jerk go.
I am a huge proponent of "Your fun is not my responsibility", but that doesn't mean I actively create misery. I probably get one match a night where I go "Alright, Feng ditched you guys, have a W on me."

They did revisit it, now it continues to regress the generator after incapacitating the Survivors fixing it, before at least if you were fixing the gen it didnt regress... They actually buffed it even more.
I dont really like using Whataboutthism but something that really irks me is the fact Circle of Healing got tweaked twice in 6 months, the last one before 6.1 as a preemptive strike due to community complains, I agree CoH needed some nerfs but Ecrutchion needs them too and 6 months is more than enough to see its too overtuned.
The difference is that Circle of Healing is 100% in the control of the Survivors. Killers cannot actually control Eruption. You have to kick a gen, you have to get into a chase, you have to down the Survivor, and that down has to happen at the exact moment a survivor is working on that previously kicked gen. That's a lot more dominoes to fall into place than just pressing E at a totem and making a blue healing field anyone can use at will.
-
Never being able to heal would make unhooks a death sentence. You would make camping even more powerful.
-
I am an average Dead By Daylight player and I have this. So yeah, winning with "weak" killers has never been impossible.
-
I only dodge a lobby with several TTVs.
I am not going to be free content for your bully squad to mock and belittle for your chat.

Its not about the perk, its about the theme of the perk.
Killer's 4 slowdowns were destroyed and replaced with other 4 slowdowns that even more broken.
Survivor's 2nd chance is mostly destroyed, forced them to use other perks.
I know you will coming with basekit BT, OTR, DH, but I can show you why 2nd chance is far weaker than before.
The newer slowdown is not more broken. Not by a longshot. The only one stronger than before is Eruption.
The death of Old Undying / Ruin / Tinkerer/ Corrupt Intervention is and probably always will be the strongest killer meta ever, outside of the old Moris. That is why all four of those perks have been hit with the nerf bat.
Killers need gen regression to not lose the game in 5-7 minutes. That's just a fact. You cannot chase 4 survivors at once. As long as they split up, and do not run the killer into each other, this cannot be helped. It is part of the core game design.

@Tsulan said:
Killers should have the same hook indicator as survivors. It makes 0 sense to have different ones.
A killer who wants to tunnel will tunnel no matter the info he gets, but a killer who doesn´t want to tunnel often accidentally kills the wrong survivor, simply because its hard to keep track on who was hooked how often.
This needs to change.
This, exactly.
The whole "It will encourage more tunnelling" is bullcrap. If I want Nea out of the game that was a choice I made not based on the hook counter.

I'm trying to understand why those 3 meters matter. :P

They should start by reworking and shrinking lots of maps. That's the biggest issue.
I don't understand how the Eyrie got the hatchet to its size while Red Forest is allowed to continued to exist as is.

All the killer mains defending this meta were the same ones who were complaining about old dead hard being uncounterable. Uncounterable perks are only an issue when it affects killers I guess.
The fact that the meta shake up affected both sides proves this statement to be objectively false. Ruin was absolutely trounced and Tinkerer was practically taken out back and shot.

I hate Blight with a fiery passion. He almost makes me break my rule about not DCing.
-
@TheDavidKingMain said:
Now that the devs are (finally) getting around to balancing Nurse, the other top tiers need to be looked at. Specifically, Spirit and Blight's addons.
Spirit has mother daughter ring which, after this patch, will arguably be the most broken addon in the game. It basically makes the game an insta-win for the killer when paired with another strong addon, like the amulet, dried cherry blossom, or another speed addon. They just need to rework this addon entirely; the yellow and brown speed addons are more than enough for Spirit.
Blight has many broken addons. Alchemist ring, compound 33, iridescent blight tag, all of which can be paired with a speed addon like blighted crow for an incredibly unfair experience.
It's time to start bringing top tiers in line with the rest of the roster.
Hard disagree about the mother/daughter ring. Blight add ons are far, FAR worse.

Idk, I still don't get it.
For me, if I were to give someone Hatch, I'd want them to Escape. Idc if they wiggle off, open the doors or get dropped on Hatch
But, ya know, your choice
Because we want our mercy acknowledged. There's a difference between a Survivor accepting our grace and letting us take you to the hatch, and a survivor wiggling free, running to the hatch like they got one over you, teabagging, and dropping a GGEZ in endgame chat.
-
I'm down with inverting all the map offerings to be a banned realm.
It's entreating the Entity to keep away the undesired realm, keeping in theme with the "ward" idea.

i love a game where there’s lot of chases, gens are popping , killer getting hooks, and maybe 1-2 ppl make it out the gates. A fun balanced match. Doesn’t always happen.
I enjoy facing Myers. But that infinite addons makes the match pointless because it becomes nothing more than a game of hide and seek (solo q) especially when 2 ppl have been Mori’d.
I hate to complain but that’s really the only killer addon I hate facing.
when I play killer I NEVER use Mori’s. They are just unfun esp to survivors and they take the challenge out of the game.
The game is literally hide and seek. It's literally called that by the devs.

Making the other side feel miserable just one reason why. Something more fun for both sides should be viable. Even most killers probably feel bad using these stragedies but because they're the best options to win so they use them.
"Making the other side feel miserable" on these forums only means Survivors. No one has ever cared how miserable Killers are, and will completely BRAG about making Killers miserable.
So let's not pretend that phrase works both ways. It doesn't, and you know it.

I don't really get why if a pallet is strong it must be immediately addressed but if it's weak "that's okay, silly! Some pallets are just weak tee hee!!"
Like yeah it's not a game breaking issue but no pallet should be near useless.
If you ever think a pallet is useless remember there are Z walls with windows.

I get offered kills all the time, but they tend to be of the following:
1.) Survivor that wants out of this f'ing game and is crouching at a hook and pointing at it.
OR
2.) I was screwing around and memeing and the Survivor refuses to leave and dances around me until the entity kills them.
-
Freddy should start the game with his teleport off cooldown.
The thing is already very slow and super telegraphed. It's not like you can sneak up on a Survivor with it. But it would save him the trouble of trekking all the way across the map to get started. He's a pathetic M1 killer with very little mobility. At least give him THIS.

Thats not your decision to decide for everyone else however.
What are you talking about? It's my opinion on a forum.
-
The problem with most anti-camping/tunneling perks is they would become instantly meta, overly effective on SWFs, and become must-runs.
Remember how everyone "had" to run Borrowed Time before?
I don't want that community mentality back.
-
Camping and tunnelling are not bannable offenses and are approved by the developers.
No matter how many threads you make complaining about them.
-
@GensByDaylight said:
They will complain, no matter what.
If you do something that they don't like, they will complain.
If the word "tunneling" is changed to explicitly exclude taking a BT hit, they will make a new word, that is commonly accepeted among survivor mains.
SWF will always complain if they struggle there is no preventing it.
Survivors did the same thing with "facecamping".
Facecamping was when a Killer stood directly in front of your face to block any unhooking. It LITERALLY blocked the only way to unhook because there were no side unhooks back then.
That was patched out.
So they changed the word to keep complaining. Now it just means "Killer within 15m of a hook".

No the original post was talking about a potential wiggle bug and ofc in plain dbd community fashion, you all attacked the person over a body block for no reason. Grow up
I actually didn't attack anyone. I said three people running in to take stab wounds looks silly.
Because it does.

Yeah but those should not be most viable stragedies that is the biggest problem. Stragedies which show skill should be more viable. 8 hooking everyone before killing probably will never be most viable stragedy but something in the middle ground should be.
Why NOT?

I wouldn't call vaulting situational.
But Balanced Landing absolutely is. A ton of maps only have like 1 or 2 places you can actually use it.
It needs a vault. That's a situation. I have on many matches been unable to use Lithe due to a close enough vault. Especially in large open areas, corners, or tiles that ONLY had a pallet that is now spent.

I have not faced a Pyramidhead in THREE MONTHS.
I am totally, 100% not afraid of this Pyramidhead "meta".

@HungrySnek said:
Rare items, offerings and addons are now in almost every round because they are cheaper to get and because we get more bloodpoints now. Killers use every round there favorite/strongest addon because...well it's not hard to get new ones and it's the same for survivors. Every round 3-4 survivors bring strong items or addons that where before more rare to get.
This is statistically impossible.
Since we can longer farm the level 50 bloodweb indefinitely, it is not mathematically possible to have an specific killer add on in "every round".
If you are facing it a lot, there's a strong chance that is someone that already had a lot banked. Screwing over existing players because you think it will somehow make the add ons you face more rare is simply not backed up by math.

I see "your fun is not my responsibility" here all the time.
I mean, if DS penalty is harsher, they would just suicide on hook or afk. The best part of it is the time people DC will be less because of waiting.
There is a difference between fun not being your responsibility across factions, such killer versus survivor and needing to get their objectives done, and people deliberately sabotaging their OWN team for selfish purposes.

You can blind a killer while fully healed, make no noise at all, they still know where you are exactly, they even turn their bodied in your direction while blinded, is so dumb that just having a good headset makes a game mechanic completely useless.
Did you just ask why a mechanic that affects VISUAL input doesn't thwart AUDITORY input?

I think the value is a myth. I have literally never kobe'd in several hundred hours of playing !
... I don't really try to often I guess. But just from killing myself on hook to give a chance at hatch to the last teammate, I should have racked up a certain number of attempts, like... at least 60. Still no kobe =(
I've done it maybe 4 times.
-
It all comes down to people riding that "I bought the game and if I am not having fun I have a right to quit!" attitude.
It's all about them. Screw everyone else!
-
I think you should die instantly, to be honestly. As @Crowman said it just draws the game out.
I agree an exceptional should be made for Deliverance. You should get like a 15 second window.
You gotta give'em the 15 seconds!
Where's the leeeeeway?!

When I am the gen alone, I agree with you. When I am on a gen with another player, I know I am three seconds from going full Luigi Stare.

As a Killer: Adrenaline. I feel like it is a free end game heal you didn't earn. People claim you earned it, but honestly you can get it being a worthless jerk while your team does all the generators.
As a Survivor: Merciless Storm, because my idiot teammates will screw it up every time.
-
The only problematic exhaustion perk is Dead Hard because it can be used on command.
Lithe requires a vault.
Balanced Landing requires a fall.
I see nothing wrong with perks that are situational like this.
