wow. that's petty af
Blame the game designers.
-
I “camp” if:
you flashlight me
you bring in a key
you last second switch
you teabag or BM
MoM
you kite me around every possible place, exploiting poor hit boxes and making me bloodlust
Maybe you did one of these to a killer who feels the way I do?
And by “camp” I just mean I stay in the area.
-
Legion will now be just another weak M1 killer.
-
lol whut?
These make the perks worthless.
-
The only comparable killer perk is Rancor. It also punishes you for doing the objective but it has downsides all match in the aura. Plus you still have to catch that survivor.
MoM has no counter outside of using a small selection of killers and only attack a certain way. Plus Rancor only affects the Obsession... I’ve had killer matches where three survivor shows had MoM 😐
It all goes back to how unbalanced the chases are in the game. It’s too easy to run the non-meta killers for long periods of time, which is an issue because of how short the games can go.
-
WGFF for those delicious stacks.
Well Make It, so the people you unhook will be more likely to let you heal them, gives you more points and safe unhooks.
Prove Thyself for bonus points while gen rushing
Dead Hard to extend chases and set up some stuns
Flashlights are good too
-
Yeah every update has been doodoo.
Each change also messes with my autocorrect. Constantly changing is to isn’t and with to without and adding extra words and s’s to the end of words. Just there the first time I typed “words” it changed it to “word should” 😆
-
I think we can all agree that Legion needed a change. There wasn’t much in the game less boring than playing against a Legion that hits you in FF and then just chases you repeatedly hitting you again in FF until your bar is depleted. It’s boring and has no counterplay.
BUT, you remove that ability, and what you’re left with is a killer with no power. “Spreading damage around” is pointless because good survivors don’t heal. So as a killer it’s just going to be a generic M1 killer who will get looped to death.
As boring as it was for survivors to play against Legion, it’s equally boring for M1 killers to begin the loop cycle again and again. Especially a killer like Legion who has no agency to end the chase. Trapper can set traps. The chainsaw bros can chainsaw. Spirit can mindgame. Etc etc. Legion will have nothing. Their only power will come from add-ons, and a killer relying on add-ons is not good design.
-
They’ll be easy AF to loop and bully = fun for survivors.

Oh yeah nothing says you're bad more than looping the killer for 5 gens only to die to a noed.
Everyone knows noed is just a crutch for bad killers.
If you loop a killer for five gens then why can’t your teammates knock out NOED and save you? Apparently it’s your first hook and they haven’t even been chased by the killer.
People always have these outlandish scenarios for getting screwed by NOED when they could just cleanse totems.
-
Can we get refunds since Legion is now just a low tier M1 killer with no powers?

It changes tge perk that gives you a timer, to perk that literally gives you a free life. Survivor will be able to just follow killer and won't be downed by BT, Doctor will get shrekt, survivor will not be pressured to mend, and while mending the timer will stop, giving survivor more room to breath.
Combine it with MoM, Adrenaline, SC/SB/DH/DS and you will have such a wonderful match.
Yeah, it is a bad thing. Plus it is a clear middle finger to the killers.
Nah, im a killer main and despise BT but this really seems like no big deal. When you hit a survivor with BT you’re going to chase or you aren’t. If you chase, nothing changes. One more hit downs them. If you don’t chase, nothing changes for you.
Obviously combined with all the other trash survivors have now like dstrike and MoM etc it’s a problem but that’s a separate issue, not BT.
I wonder how many complaining about this BT “buff” were playing when BT activated for the hooked AND the person unhooking.

Timer won't deplete in killer's TR and the killer won't be able to see the timer. Timer won't deplete while mending.
Sounds like no big deal. When BT procs you’re either gonna tunnel the survivor or not, and didn’t it already change to not deplete in a chase?
-
Meh, I was worried reading about some huge BT buff but this is nothing.
-
What’s the BT buff?

He will not be trash, you can still get a free hit and end frenzy to finish the job. At least some sort of skill will be required to play as the Legion. He was so mindless and boring there was nothing on the survivor side to counter him, he was and still is broken. At least now you can get 1 free hit and mindgame. Good killers appreciate this change. Every time I played Legion it was so boring and survivors died without me hitting them. Stop defending broken horseshit in this game - enough is enough,
Because getting the initial hit in a chase is so hard, right? What exactly is “free” about it? Even Freddy and Wraith don’t get “free” hits all the time.
Youre getting too emotional here. It’s adorable, but misplaced. You’re confusing valid criticism with wanting Legion to remain the same. Tip: you can think this Legion nerf sucks, AND think they are broken in their current state. Most definitely a change was needed to allow for better counters. But Legion is worthless as described in this nerf. Basically you’re going to frenzy in to try for an easy hit and then it becomes a stale, generic M1 chase where you’ll rely on map RNG to get the down. The only fun you’ll have is with add-ons. Bleh.
hope nothing was misspelled, this new forum is doodoo on iOS.
-
So the fix for Legion is to nerf him into a doodoo killer. Fun for survivors because they're trash now, who cares about killer. lol
-
I thought I was alone in not seeing an option. This sucks. Typing lags bad on iOS for me.

Considering it's licensed paid DLC and half the reason anyone bought Ash, it'll be a long time til they touch it much. Just like DS.
Yeah i mean it’s not like they nerfed the **** out of Freddy right after release.
Tbh I doubt they change it. They seem to be focusing on improving the fun factor for survivors and SWF over killers because that’s where their money is.
-
Hex totems need buffs because the devs are clearly incapable of giving them good hiding spots. Maybe some aspects of Thrill of the Hunt should just be built in by default. Slower cleanse progress depending on how many dull totems are left. Skill checks on hex totems. The problem is though that while those two alone are huge buffs on paper, they actually do zero because they'll still be found easily and destroyed easily.
-
I think the Clown map is the best designed.
As for what I enjoy playing most, Crotus Penn, even as killer. It’s just a very cool map.
-
6.4k
Id have more but I’ve been playing survivor more and more the last 3-4 months. I used to be strictly killer only.
-
It’s not as much a problem with MoM, that’s just the tipping point in a long series of things that make killer not any more difficult, but less fun.
Worse than MoM was the change they made to pallets. There are now tons of them on every map and nothing most killers can do about it but be kited from pallet to pallet.
-
Yet even with as “buffed” as killers have supposedly been, the games still go way too fast and they have to rely on either OP killers/builds or bad survivor plays just to 2k. That or play like a jerk.
Survivor is easier. Solo just sucks sometimes because it’s a crap shoot where most survivors are out for themselves.
-
Don’t forget all the free perks SWF get. Bond, Empathy, etc.
-
I agree. I have tons of time on Xbox as killer and it’s just not fun any more. Every map is loop loop loop pallet pallet pallet t-wall t-wall t-wall. Every survivor running an exhaustion perk and Adrenaline. Only defense against the gen rush is Ruin and hex spawns are garbage and Ruin is gone right away.
SWF requires you to play like a jerk in order to succeed and then of course survivors get salty. The only way around all of this is to pick one of the meta killers, **** you if you want to play a fun killer like Trapper or Hag.
-
I remember when he went HAM for that DbD clone Identity V or whatever and would argue that it wasn’t a DbD clone because DbD is also a clone.
He had to be getting paid for that nonsense.
-
not_queef
its great.
-
I used to think Insidious literally made you invisible. So when I’d do Insidious builds I’d stand near the hook waiting like an idiot for survivors to come for the rescue, thinking the whole time that I was a genius because they couldn’t see me.
Then one day I played against a basement Bubba with two friends and asked them why he had no terror radius and they said Insidius and I said it couldn’t be that, because I could see him. I felt embarrassed for those earlier matches.
-
That’s why I use MoM with DS.
And DH.
And Adrenaline.
Fully embracing this shytty meta BHVR is giving us.
-
I take mental note of the a-holes that do this and bring out the trusty Insidious Bubba next time I see them. Same as people who sit around at the exit gates and don’t leave. You have to BM some manners into some of the people who play this game.
I know survivor mains can get pretty delusional but I’m surprised to see how many are ITT downplaying the DC. Imagine if there was some exploit killers could use to make you instantly die on the hook or something. I wonder if replies like “enjoy your 3 gens done!” and “you don’t need to escape every game!” would still apply lol
-
What you want to do is hit someone in frenzy, let their mend bar decrease to where one more frenzy hit downs them, then hope they run you into another survivor. You then hit that survivor in frenzy, then before your frenzy ends you find the original survivor and down them.
In reality you hit one and while you’re kiting them around the map, one survivor DCs because Legion, then eventually the survivor you’re chasing gets tired of you BMing them so they stop running and either DC or kill themselves on hook.
-
The only buff it needs is one it’s needed for years, and that’s better totem placement. Guess that’s impossible though.
-
This morning I played a Huntress and was tunneled off the hook. I hit dstrike to escape her grasp. I hit DH through a pallet and stunned her to avoid going down again. My Adrenaline popped as she chased me. My MoM activated on my first hit. I took a hit that should have downed me as I ran towards an open gate. As a killer main this would have infuriated me. But in the current meta where devs seem to want survivors to bully and screw over the killer, I’m just going to fully embrace it. I ran dstrike prior to this one time for the Laurie adept. I never used Adrenaline before now except for the adept. But now I’ll take all the crutch perks, please.
But I’m a doodoo survivor who isn’t that good in a chase. Imagine that toxic build on someone who can run a killer for multiple gens. Yikes.
And THATS why MoM is a problem. A majority of people who run it will be irrelevant. But a large portion of high rank survivors will abuse the **** out of it just like they did DS.
-
lol I’m making a general comment, I’m not expecting them to do a single thing. It took them like 3 years just for something as simple as removing a killers loadout from the end game screen. Maybe MoM will be fixed by 2030.
-
Just remove it from the game and quit adding stupid ass perks that make an already lopsided game design even more toxic.
They drastically nerfed Fred right after release, no reason they can’t here.
-
This is why I’m becoming a survivor main and running all the crutch perks.
dstrike, Adrenaline, DH, and MoM. It’s fun. Unless you have doodoo teammates you’re basically invincible.
-
I don’t get why people say it’s “hard to activate”. It’s glitched on some killers right now, but it’s very easy to have activated.
The problem with the perk is the same as old dstrike, it’s a powerful perk that is DEADLY in a good survivors hands and has no counter play. But the majority of time people see it, some average or worse survivor will be running it and it will make no difference so people will think it’s weak.
dstrike was never hated because it made every survivor running it annoying. Or even most. It was OP because the good survivors who ran it would really mess up the killers game.

Bamboozle last too little, and works only on one window - this way the perk is useless on longer loops.
Spirit Fury is okayish, only when using Enduring. Without it it is #########, so it takes two perks.
Haunted Ground? Really? Nobody runs it, because 60 seconds is very little. During this time survivors just hide, and you are lucky when you get 1-2 hits with it.
Discordance? Good only on Billy, Nurse, and maybe Legion.
Corrupt Intervention is only good on the paper - people just hide, then, or look for the totems. It is just delaying start of game by the timer of the perk.
Rancor? Oh boy... Survivor get to see your aura 5 times, and after all the fens are done, you might get one kill, usually you won't, because the obsession will just hide.
Now good perks for the survivors, aside from the Ash's perks:
Head On is situational, I agree, but due to its very huge area you can stun the killer, that is taking his victim to the basement, denying him a hook. You can save your ass as well, if the killer searches for you.
Breakdown is very annoying to face, especially with Saboteur teams. Can't count times, when I faced 4 people running those perks - half the time I was too far to hook someone.
Solidarity with Autodidact works wonders - you get healed in no time, as well as the other survivor.
Deliverance, no need to tell why.
Dance With Me is really good compared with Lithe, or even without it. At the loops with high walls and window you can easily loose a killer.
So, these are recent 4 chapters. What about the others? Survivors have way stronger perks than killers, therefore they have stronger perk combos.
What killers have? BBQ with it's 423523 counters? Totem perks, which don't last 40 seconds?
Holy **** I never thought about the basement and Head On.

And Evolve was dead within months of release. If the survivors all had to coordinate perfectly to stand a slightest chance of winning against the killer in a game with practically zero levels of interaction between survivors you would struggle to fill lobbies. And if it did have that communication you can be damn sure the vocal minority of bad killers on these forums would be kicking and screaming about that too.
A significant portion of those 'super strong loops' were heavily nerfed in a map update when the clown released and bamboozle was added alongside that to competely shut down any survivors who tried to abuse the longer vault loops. Some maps still have problems but they are still worse off thanks the the bloodlust update.
Not saying that those time wasting tactics arent still there. But after the loop nerfs. Spirit fury. Bamboozle the ds nerf and the healing speed nerf if you're still gerting looped for multiple gens by one survivor i dont think the game is to blame.
You are.
Im not trying to start fights here. Just speaking my mind. I dont know if these people complaining are new and just havent figured the game out yet. But ive been playing for nearly two years and these "optimal survivor groups" are one in a million.
Strong loops never went away.
No perks will save you on Coldwind maps from survivors watching you through walls, or on the new Temple map as survivors run from one safe pallet to another. The only thing that can save you is picking only the most sweaty killers and loadouts :)
And survivor skill depends on rank, especially now that it’s hard for survivors to pip. As a red rank killer I get tons of people who know how to loop. And I play on console so on top of super effective loops you can throw in garbage frame rates that make you miss even the easiest situations like hitting a survivor vaulting a pallet right into you 😆

I have played Evolve, and Paladin Parnell could do just that with a stage 2 monster (and I did it, many times), prior to his nerf. After his nerf, he could still do it, but not indefinitely. No wonder that game died.
If you played any monster and stood your ground alone then that monster player was doodoo, plain and simple. Outside of being the last hunter left in Arena, where you’re specifically buffed so that you CAN do massive damage to monsters, you stand no chance going 1v1. As it should be in a 4v1 in basically every asymmetrical game outside of DbD :)
-
@gibblywibblywoo said:
The game is so much easier than it was a year ago for killers that the ones with a victim complex that, lets be honest, seem to suck are running out of legit complaints.
Thats what you're seeing.
The base game with 4 solo players is fine now. The only legit complaints are about organised SWF players.
It is easier in some areas.
But playing survivor is much easier and SWF is a cake walk. This is an asymmetrical competitive MP game. The 4 side of the equation should have to work together optimally to stand a chance against the 1. But in this game the 4 side has such strong perks and game design they can literally stave off the killer for most of or an entire match thanks to super strong loops and the perks.
Idk if anyone ever played Evolve but imagine if the Medic in Evolve could go toe to toe with a monster and survive LOL.
Killers need more time to stand a chance at high level. Adding perks that decrease the time they have to work with is the exact opposite of what the devs should be doing.
-
It's still brand new but I think it's going to take the spot of the old DS from the killer perspective, a small annoyance on the vast majority of survivors who run it but incredible in the hands of skilled runners. I mean it's basically a free Dead Hard and against most killers the only drawback it has (aura reading) never really even comes into play. If you can run a killer, you just got an amazing new perk. And you can even combine it with a new five second stun Dstrike.
-
another dumb survivor idea meant to make their game easier.

look at the forum, for most of the ppl the new matchmaking is working better. especially for red ranks and console players. now, a lot of ppl cant play the game anymore.
Not on Xbox. Myself and every streamer I watch have much longer queue times under the new system and random ranks when matchmaking.
Im a rank 1 killer and I get ranks 15 or worse. I’m a rank 4 survivor and I get red rank killers but rank 15 or worse teammates including some rank 19s sometimes, people with only one or two perks unlocked and clearly are clueless as to how you play the game and they’re getting destroyed by P3 Billy and Spirits.
-
Yep, you get punished hard for being camped or tunneled. And as killer you get punished hard for survivors killing themselves on hook or making bad plays and dying too quick.
-
MM takes awhile because the new system sucks.
id imagine with the bigger install base + being given away as a PS+ title, that PS4 has more players than Xbox. But I never had trouble finding games on Xbox until the new MM update. So PS4 should be similar.
-
Doctor is at least C tier. No way is he the second worst killer in DbD.
Looking over these tier lists people make, I always realize my favorite killers and really the only ones I enjoy using are all C-D tier and that doesn't mix well with tryhard SWF at red ranks :(
-
“rewards bad play” is just something salty survivors like to spout after they got killed by NOED.
They’re right, it’s rewarding bad play, but it’s their own bad play, not the killers. It’s not hard to do totems.

that's true. that may not always be the case after the initial exhaustion hit though. the way you're describing it is the exhaustion add-on hits as soon as a chase starts. dont forget during those 20 seconds any window, or elevation you used wont give you a sprint burst, and you might not be able to find another structure. the survivor has to last during those 20 seconds and THEN make it to a structure they need to activate their perk.
You get hit with an exhaustion add-on from say, a Huntress hatchet, or a Clown bottle, you have PLENTY of space and time to kill 20 seconds unless you let the Huntress get very close before she hit you with the hatchet. And with every killer but Huntress iirc, they still have to hit you twice after you’re exhausted.
