She doesn't really have to guess if she sees grass, sounds, corn, blood and footsteps. (And i dont even want to mention if the spirit is using a surround app with good headsets)
What info does the survivor have?
There's a reason why I brought up windows/pallets as nearly ALL killers powers can hit you if you're caught out in the open so singling out spirit for that is meaningless.
Aka If nearly everyone(pretty much only the blight can't hit you there) has a 100% chance to hit you there(Including instant down killers like billy/Bubba) then there's no point in bringing it up as an example against specific killer.

All this bright pink-blue neon stuff, it feels extremely out of place for a horror game.
I sincerly hope this neon stuff is has nothing to do with the upcoming Killer, and they are completely unrelated with a totally different aesthetic.
You know Feng Min have a neon teal and a neon gold outfit for years now right?
I don't think neon colors are the issue its just neon lights outside of things like shop signs would be out of place though.

Chest high walls have always been able to be attacked over its just there are very few ones thin enough for the killer's attack to actually reach to the other side.

But those are equal 50/50’s
Spirits are not
No spirit is often a 50/50 especially when its a window/dropped pallet on which side she guesses you're on.
Quiet literally a 50/50 because if she guesses wrong you get distance.

I just want other people to play other killers in general. I am so tired of seeing Leatherface, Leatherface, Leatherface, Freddy, Leatherface, Freddy, Freddy, Doctor, Doctor, Leatherface, Doctor. Every. Single. Game.
Hay the extremely homogeneous killer pool you see is from survivors crying for endless killer nerfs.
(Being hypothetical for sake of example) If only 3 killers are worth playing you'll only see 3 killers.

Camping doesn't make the Killer lose if done properly.. if anything it guarantees a win.
Kill 1 survivor
Camp the 2nd
The 3rd comes for the rescue
4th sits on a gen/looks for totems or worse they also attempt to go for the save.
If it isn't down to the last two gens that need to be done and someone is already out of the game with another on the hook you're already winning without camping at that point.
-
If your getting a sense of agitation from the nurse players that's pretty normal given how unrelentingly hard she is for people and thus are probably agitated because of having to play her for the rift.
Also just as an FYI killers can't see de-sync survivors see as in the massive disjointed hits.
But by the same coin survivors can't see the de-sync that the killer sees which is very pronounced with nurse/legion were de-sync can royally screw them over when it makes them lose hits they shouldn't have.
I have personally lost chases as nurse and been knocked out of Feral Frenzy unfairly this patch that I get really agitated to the point of stopping playing for a while.
-
I love the "bowl" like design most of them have but how much the map varies from survivor sides to killer sided spawns is insane.
Endless loops spanning the entire middle of the map or 75%+ of the map is a dead zone.
Also that map might as well not have a hatch given that even with the last survivor having "left behind" to try to find the hatch's aura it still took 10 mins to end while I was sparing the bill.

I'm watching this from the Japan forum and sometimes I see these dumb claims, is this serious? I don't speak English very well, so I'm using a translation, but I think it's not that killers are too strong, it's that the majority of survivors have been asking for nerfs without making any effort to get better. I really don't know if these opinions are really serious because Survivor is bad at it, or if it's just sarcasm from the Survivor mains making such silly claims.
The poster is a known troll on the English forums just ignore them and don't take the bait.
-
The timer pause was tested twice on the PTB and survivors abused it to hell and back by looping the killer near the hook or forcing the killer into a situation were they couldn't leave the hook without giving a free unhook.
Remember SURVIVORS ARE THE REASON WHY NO ANTI CAMP EXISTS!
-
If the killer you were playing was the plague just remember this:
Even Otz managed to DEPIP with the plague on stream with a 4k due to how bad the emblem system is for some killers.

I used to play her a bit here and there. I was never a pro but I could handle myself. Tried her yesterday and yeah I was struggling to get through objects too. Maybe its rust or maybe they broke something who knows but I had full charge for blinks that should have taken me well beyond rocks on macmillan and yet I could never get through them.
Something is definitely off about nurse's blink this patch as I have blinked into the sky(Before falling back down) when I tried to blink onto the hills ormond to try to down a survivor on them.

They didn't even lose though. I only got a 1k that game lol. They were upset that I almost shredded their entire team at the end with STBFL. The only thing that saved them was their unbreakable lol.
To these people who want to imitate the curb-stomping that tournament squads can do, anything less then a 4 man escape is a loss to them.
-
Wannabe tournament squads are so used to winning that they feel cheated when they lose.

Iirc hitting m1 just breaks the chain, it doesn't actually swing.
M1 is how you attack someone who you have chained.
Its how his power works and why his power counts as a M1 as you literally M1 to release the chain to try to hit the survivor once you pulled them close enough.
Have you ever played Deathslinger?
-

I'd have to go test it and I'm far too lazy, not saying you're wrong but I dunno, looks to me like he immediately broke the chain. The wiki says
Using a Basic Attack while a Survivor is speared will break the chain without applying either a stun penalty to The Deathslinger or the Deep Wound Status Effect to the Survivor.
I'm not defending bhvr btw. No bug at this point would surprise me
that's literally is what I said...
Also I am not trying to criticize you I am clearly not being very clear.
Ok to contextualize what the wiki says is that when you try to attack a survivor you're reeling in is when the chain is released.
However that's not what happened in the video as:
- He didn't attack. If he manually released the chain you'd see him swinging his gun's bayonet.
- He was animation locked into the shot. EI He COULDN'T have attacked to release the chain until the survivor the survivor was being pulled as that's when the shot attack cooldown would have ended.
-

If you hit the wrong button it releases the chain. I haven't played slinger in awhile, but I don't think you get the stun if you do that. It looks like that's what happened to me
the "release chain button" is a basic attack aka an M1 which he clearly did not do.
Its also impossible to release the chain before the pull in begins as your animation locked into the shot animation until the pulling begins.

I had a fun one the other day too. Playing oni in blood fury, catch a survivor on the opposite side of a dropped pallet after they vaulted and started running away. There's me, then the survivor, then the pallet.
Go for a dash smash, survivor apparently enters the ethereal plane for a minute, so oni smashes the pallet behind the survivor instead of the survivor. Survivor then re-enters the physical plane and immediately gets to a window. Awesome
I had something similar happen to me when I was doing the nurse' blink archive were I'd blink onto the right side of a pallet in front of a survivor pointblank and still somehow miss the survivor despite my weapon model physically going through them.
It also happened as well as legion while in Feral frenzy where I'd have my knife go through a survivor to hit the object behind them which knocked me out of my frenzy.

You dont need to play a killer to know that they are unbalanced. She is the only killer in the game that gives no feedback when she is using her power.
Technically neither does trapper/hag unless your looking directly at them and hag can also do the idle fake out at pallets.
Michael and GF stalk powers don't give any feedback unless they reach specific thresholds and Michael has a fake afk into tombstone meme for another idle fakeout.
So no the spirit isn't the only killer with little to no feedback, Heck as stated above she isn't the only one with the idle fakeout.
-
His main counter is stealth much like other killers with a strong chase potential.
If you love stealth you'll love facing Deathslinger.
If you love looping you'll hate facing Deathslinger.
Vice Versa for the Doctor.

I face Nurse and Huntress mainly after the update. Obviously, people don't abuse the new terrible hit boxes🤡.
It is the NURSE'S rift right now so most are probably just doing their Nurse archives.
-
Wraith as predator is actively detrimental to run due to it prevents most scratch marks from spawning on walls.
Scratch marks on walls are one of the few ways you can know if a survivor is/has ran in a direction off in the distance.
Huntress may have bad perks but at least none of hers are actively detrimental.
-
You say that in the same update that has given "The Game" up to a literally 24 pallet spawns per(The average # of pallets per game from what I know is 8-12).
Also playing a killer who has to manage their power is disorenting but is outright nightmarish if you also are using Devour Hope/Whispers making it so you also have to look at the bottom right corner constantly.
This is making you literally having to look around the screen in circles just to try to get all the info you'd need which is eye-straining to say the least.
-
They made surveillance turn off on a generator once it reaches zero instead of it being permanently on until a survivor touches it.

I still distinctly remember a match on Family Residence against a Deathslinger that used Iridescent Coin flawlessly.
Every single landed shot on a survivor resulted in an insta down (if they weren’t already injured).
I am sorry but how in the world did he even get a single iri coin off on that map with so many LoS breakers/props to hold yourself against.
I am genuinely perplexed because unless your team was literally running in a straight line in the open that shouldn't have happened.
-
Mine is "Iridescent Coin" on Deathslinger:
Its a map dependent. Good luck getting it to work on indoor maps.
Survivor behavior dependent aka If they dart between LoS blockers like they should against Deathslinger good luck getting sharp shooter.
Somewhat add-on combo reliant. Pulling speed/Chain durability makes the window to get the exposed hit a lot larger...due to how short it is.
That's all without it being insanely hard to land due to how ambiguous the ranges can be.
I'll never understand why people think this add-on is well designed.
-
I'd would want it back if they removed its gameplay effect.
It manipulates the killer's camera/aim-desist to make killer miss when they aren't exposed too which can be considered an exploit.
-
Not yet but the game is starting to bleed and if not mended by the devs it WILL die.
-
Devour hope(DH) combos are noob traps:
They are extremely unreliable as they require the survivors to play in a specific way IE:Not dive bombing the hook before you can even leave.
Map specific as good luck getting DH off on "The Game".
Killer specific as non M1 killers don't get the instant downs.
Requires survivors not to spawn next to ANY of the pieces.
Requires survivors to not find the hex totem once it reaches 3 stacks as they have no reason to try to do gens at that point only totems.
Trust me these aren't even all the downsides of the build.
Ps. I keep DH on my wraith as my memey hail marry and there are so many games where it does nothing no matter how well I try to protect it.
-
I like the relentlessness of blight and his pinball gameplay...When it works.
Also if his PoV was better he might be my main killer but its so easy to lose survivors it make chases infuriating.

oh wow my comment only got 4 upvotes, who cares, more people play DBD than have seen this post
oh so suddenly people who are popular become law if they have an opinion? why dont people use their own opinions, yeah you can have the same opinion as someone popular but way too many people formulate their opinion by taking it from their idol or whatever. people other than streamers are allowed opinions funnily enough
There is literally a poll on the poll sub forums if people like this hud or not...
Its currently at 95% against the new hud to 5% in favor of the new hud.
-
+1.
This update has made playing nurse even more of a nightmare with how much my eyes have to dart all over the screen...
The day before the nurse archive...
Did they even play test this hud with the killer whose archive is exposed to be released to help highlight the mid chapter patch with this!?
-
What your saying would make sense...
If the PTB didn't exist to give constructive civil feedback and alternatives on that gets ignored.
If the dev's won't listen when people are civil then people WON'T BE CIVIL!

I don't understand it, the new Ui is awesome.
- You can see how wich in game character is injured
- You can look how many hooks you have and if it's worth to save a teammate or not
- You can choose how big your ui should be.
- Yeah the position is a bit weird but not hard to learn.
Try playing the Nurse and having to pay attention to both your power bar in the bottom for charges, The survivors on the top, the center of the screen for gameplay, and finally your perks in the opposite corner from the survivors if your running whispers or devour hope to see if they are on or not.
This isn't even paying attention to the very top for generators left or looking closely at the screen to find a hiding Claudette.
If you have to manage your power or are using whispers/Devour hope it makes you constantly look around in circles.

Wait they went back on the ds change just to trick killers into coming back and being hopeful? Lol that's skating on super thin ice. I reckon my survivor queue will still be too long to be worth installing this game on my Sony again for a few months . Man they have the ballsiest tards sometimes. Also about the thread title... I am inclined to assume the one that gets caught too easy and gets camped is the incompetent one, no offensive intended but no concern if it does either since that isnt gonna help anybody hide better to blame their mistakes on the better players. OP needs to read Sirlin's Playing to Win and Git Gud.
The DS change is slated for the main chapter patch not the current mid chapter patch that went live today.

Whats the average number of other maps?
From what i know 8-12 is around the average on most maps.
-
Its sad how accurate this picture is to where you're eyes need to be to see everything on the new UI.
-
"If it isn't broken, don't fix it!"
People AREN'T against change, they just don't like bad changes.
Also please pick up your straw its getting everywhere.
-
They could just have an intermission system of what are effectively bonus daily missions(Aka just small BP refreshing nodes) in between the rifts.
Why not extend it is because people just need down time from the rifts or else they will get burned out much which is already a big issue with them as they are.
-
Its because its a learning tool for nurses along with 90% of her add-ons being worthless.
Why does she have an ENTIRE ADD-ON LINE for giving negligible amount of bonus BP on blinks?
-
Its not hard to imagine why a perk that can help the survivors when it is not even in would get a nerf.
Aka if there's an obsession the killer HAS TO respect a possible DS even if there are none in said game giving survivors much more time then they would have otherwise.
-
Outside of of people who admit to abusing DS I have seen nothing but positive feedback on it.
Heck from what I have seen there's hardly any apathetic responses to it because it is the face of the meta so everyone had to deal with it in one way or another.
It also doesn't hurt that the perks main purpose of being anti tunnel.
No dev has ever said otherwise also peanits(A community manager not a dev) only said it once while directly contradicting the developers QA on the rework thread. So peanits made an honest mistake and was wrong on calling it not anti tunnel.
-
The devs know about all of these since the nurse gutting PTB but don't care.
They'd rather the nurse be dead and buried then to actually have to deal with her anymore.
-
It went from an oppressive perk against set up killers to a counter perk to auras which Laurie already had as part of her mechanics(Sole Survivor).
I also just want to point-out how much thematically better this version is for Laurie as a character:
The current version rewarded you for stalking the killer(you can always see the killer's aura but the killer only see yours if you're caught staring)
The new version lets you know when you're being stalked from the shadows which makes more sense for a stalker attack survivor.
-
@Horror_Gaming said:
The problems with the DS nerf that I can already predict. Teammate heals you immediately after being unhooked. Disabled while killer comes back.
teamate trying to finish your heal. DS gone killer interrupts you mid heal and downs you because your weak
Go on a gen because a stealth killer has no heartbeat but baited you out to thinking your safe. Gen ends DS and you go back to hook.
now killers are going to outplay the DS to tunnel and kill survivors more easily. It’s no longer an efficient anti tunnel at rank 1. And this game is going to suffer in the long run due to half thought out fixes
It has been confirmed by BHRV Mclean on twitter that only YOUR OWN healing disables it.
Aka other survivors healing you will not disable DS but trying to selfcare/Heal your teammate will.
-
I just feel like kicking a generator should at a minimum reduce the amount of charges said generator has by 2 charges(2 seconds) aka 2.5%.
This would mean that at a minimum the kick animation will regress the generator by how long a default kick would take(2 seconds).
-
I doubt survivor queues will instantly become good(Better yes but good... Idk) because curing an infection like DS's abuse being the way it was for so long causes damages that last long past its removal.
Aka the damage to the survivor queues might already be done due to how long it took to actually fix it because of how many killers probably have quit for good due to it.
