Did you read my post? So, you think it's fair a survivor can just pull an escape free card out of a chest mid-match? When do killers get something they can search to buff them mid-match like that? That was my point... It doesn't exist. And chests take hardly any time to open. Anyone with common sense knows not to open one when the killer is around. Killer gone, simple.
Yes I read that you think chests are op

Darn, didn't know 1 singular perk out of the 65+ survivors have is equivalent to 4-5 of the 18 killers. Guess my math is off. /s
Never mind the fact that Balanced Landing is still perfectly usable. It just isn't able to be abused like it was before. This is coming from someone who when hearing about the BL nerf, became very angry and was of the belief that their favorite survivor perk may be dead without the passive stagger reduction. In other words, Balanced Landing is my favorite survivor perk.
Then I tried out the changed Balanced Landing and found out that, oh gosh, I could use it just like I could use it before! And now I can even fake out killers using more stealthy builds and/or play styles due to the muted landing it has now. So y'know, it's actually more fun to use and has even more synergy with more perks if you relied on it for more than just vaulting the same vertical loop over and over again like before!
Tell me how slapping another cooldown on Nurse made her more fun to play as?
Tell me how nerfing Spirit's add-ons made her more enjoyable to play as (even though I agree she needed it?) Also sounds being broken, which she heavily relies on.
Legion's change is up in the air, but for some people, killing the plethora of synergies he had with perks I'm sure made him a lot more boring to play for plenty of people.
Tell me how killing Oni's flick, the one thing people really enjoyed about him by the way, made him more enjoyable to play as?
Tell me how gutting two of Freddy's add-ons just to kill a specific build (rather than maybe just making them not stack with each other) made him more enjoyable to play as?
Tell me how gutting Wraith's lunge out of cloak being bugged makes him more enjoyable to play as?
I can keep going, if you'd like. How about how ######### GF's and Myers stalking currently is half the time still? Or how Clown's bottles literally don't work half the time? Or how you can puke on people with Plague and it just sometimes doesn't work for whatever reason.
This is aside from other issues that causes the role in general to be annoying to play like again, sounds, and then scratch marks still being generally unreliable, or grabbing still being completely jank and useless, auto aim problems that causes killer hits to whiff, survivors spawning literally right next to hex totems, DS in general is obnoxious to play around for lots of people, Haddonfield can suck an egg, along with many other incredibly god-like loops which are still yet to be balanced...
All of this stuff adds up and collects interest while at it.
Killers are very fun in general so I'm going to ignore those complaints of yours. 1/4 > 4/18 btw

I know one thing, I've NEVER been able to open a chest and pull a Mori out mid match to get a easy win... That would be kinda cool though. DEATH TO ALL! 😂
Opening chests takes valuable time. If you think chests are op you got some flawed logic mate.

*4 *3 *not one gen
A key is basically a free escape, if the last survivor got it.
A purple flashlight is often more beneficial than a key imo.

When on God's green Earth did I say she's a priority buddy? Hello?
I said it would make sense. I didn't say they should touch her before the low tier killers.
But brace yourself because she's probably coming soon-ish considering she doesn't have the standard distribution of add-ons and those are the killers they seem to be tackling first. Whether you think she needs it or not.
Oh you seemed pretty bent about it my bad.

Depends on map/killer, but that could just be me. Others might be having the same experience every game.

Which part of maps getting bigger AND more cluttered did you not understand?
The only maps where she can cross map people are maps she already does well on. Ormond, Yamaoka, etc she can't do #########.
Not to mention the indoor maps. She's forced to behave like an M1 killer for a lot of the time on those maps, except she's slower than all of them.
At least bring up decent points if you're gonna be snarky.
Sorry, I just don't think Huntress is a priority over maps or low tier killers.

Killer queue times = practically instant, survivor queue times = 1-10 minutes. A killer shortage is a fact, otherwise this large difference in queue times wouldn't exist.
I am pretty good at the game but you simply can't beat a coordinated team with voice comms unless you play a 100% perfect game (whereas they can make many mistakes and still escape), and on console that's nearly the only kind of team you face. The game isn't balanced around killers meeting a super coordinated 3-4 man group every time.
I don't have the PC version of the game but I would really like to compare the matchmaking. I feel like the PC version has way more solo players. This is also reflected in the videos I see on YT by known streamers.
If the survivor queues are only a problem at red ranks it's obviously a lack of red rank killers problem and not a lack of any killers problem. Ranking system bad as I always say.

Yeah, and they released Temple of Purgation this year. A huge ass map.
They don't seem too keen on shrinking maps anytime soon. So the logical thing is to bump up her movespeed. Or are you in favor of doing neither and leaving Huntress players to spend half the match walking places every time they get a big map?
I wouldn't be against her being able to shoot across the map. Oh, wait ...

I'll admit that the new ranking system is terrible but maintaining yourself on the red ranks requires skill or at least goof matches
Maybe rank 1 but not red ranks. With matchmaking rn there is little difference imo.

As killer, 75% win rate lately and got most challenges done. As survivor, <50% win rate stuck on Dark Sense challenge. Overall much better than before and I'm enjoying myself.

Doesn't change the fact that there are some disgustingly huge maps in the game and she's the only slow killer who can't do anything about that.
She's strong, yes, but she's probably the most map reliant killer in the game.
Map problem not killer problem. Like I say often, maps should be balanced around killers not the other way around.
-
I have fun as killer on console. The matchmaking issue isn't exclusive and doesn't come from a lack of killers, it is a product of inflated survivor ranks. I usually get at least 2 kills against full swf without using ruin but I mainly play Billy and GF who are console top tiers atm imo. Try improving at the game and/or bringing map offerings and tell me how it goes for you man.

And why should survivors be so heavily punished for having absolutely terrible teammates, in a game with completely bonkers matchmaking. I will get games where as a rank 1 survivor my team is 2 rank 15's and another rank 1, and we get to go against a rank 1 killer. Guess how that is going to turn out, with the rank 15's nonstop feeding pop goes the weasel?
Games like that are such a waste of my time, and a key is the only thing in the game that can protect you from them.
You're joking, right? With my fix you can still use keys to duck on bad teammates.

While I don't think that's the best comparison, because Trapper needs buffs in the first place, all I said is that she'd be more popular, not that they should do it. I don't think she needs it at all.
Huntress, on the other hand, is in a different spot. Back when she was released she had to need to be 110% because maps were better for her. Now, however, there are maps where you're literally unable to use your power in most loops. Huntress thrives when she can hit hatchets over loops and even between tiles. She can't throw over loops in most maps, and even between tiles things get worse for her with every new map that gets released. Plague's power is weaker when she has no Corrupt Purge but it slows her down way less and is much easier to hit.
Right now, the only killers who have sub 115% speed are Nurse, Spirit and Hag (all of which have some sort of mobility or map pressure) and Huntress, who... has neither. At this point with map design the way it is I think her power no longer gives her enough benefits to justify a 110% movespeed. And being normal movespeed wouldn't even make her too strong in the maps where she's already good.
Try playing her in Red Forest and telling me she's not too slow.
Huntress is still one of the strongest killers in the game.

Med-kits didn't get nerfed, they got reworked. It wasn't a straight up nerf, unless you're talking about purely insta heals, which didn't make the survivor role frustrating or annoying to play like the Nurse rework.
Balanced Landing got nerfed as well, but it's still a good perk. Saying the nerf of one perk is the equivalent to nerfing four/five killers is a bit silly, imo.
Matchmaking is a problem, but I guarantee it won't fix the queues. If it was purely matchmaking, killers wouldn't be having 5 second queues while survivors are waiting 10 to 15 minutes. That's far too much variance to just solely be matchmaking.
Yes an exhaustion perk is the equivalent of 4-5 killers. Survivors are skins 🤦♂️

I'll never use my moris or keys just to win. I might use mori on death hook to spice it up or do an end game key meme build with my friends but using broken items/offerings to win is shameful. You will see in several of my comments I note how easy it would to be to fix keys with a channel to open the hatch and no longer leaving the hatch open. And how easy it would be to fix moris by working only after all 4 hooked or after second hook but devs are too simple to do these tweaks. Not to mention adrenaline and noed.

Ok @laurelstroodle . Why is your name exactly more "serious" than @Rin_is_my_waifu ? Just askin.
Nurse and spirit were ridiculously strong, but the nurse rework made her unfun for most players and basically impossible to learn for newer players.
SWF is on the same level than old omega nurse and gen grabber spirit btw.
Funny. Got something serious to add?
-
Maybe for killers. Killers are nerfed so that the game can be more fun. The game is not fun if you have no chance of escaping or counterplay. Killers will get buffed once both sides are satisfied. Buffing low tiers doesn't make high tiers less oppressive in an asymmetric game.

Survivor queues were fine not even a month ago.
Then killers got nerfed. Then nerfed again. Then nerfed yet again. Then they basically removed any reason to play the newest killer and another nerf.
Suddenly, survivor queues take 10~15 minutes across all ranks.
People don't drop role because of small tweaks. If this was true, wouldn't killer queues skyrocket when BL and medkit nerfed? No, it's ranking system problems as usual. This would be obvious to you if you saw the ranks of survivors versus ranks of killers. Highly inflated survivor ranks due to bad system.
-
It is a ranking system problem not a player base problem. Survivor ranks are heavily inflated compared to killer.
-
Matchmaking is working as intended for my mates and I on xb1
-
I agree the players should have more map influence than offerings. It would also be a quick fix to all the broken maps.

Funny, because it seems to me that only people that do well on matches rank up
Have you played dbd recently? They're obviously pushing all the players to rank 1.
-
Killer power/perk usually decreases power of pallets is why The Game is not just very killer sided, but also boring for both.
-
Low ranks is purgatory for the survivors that can't find totems or hit skill checks. Ruin needs a rework imo, rn it is too discouraging for newer survivors to face but at least newer killers can adapt comfortably (albeit extremely slowly and unhealthily).
-
@SambaSaw said:
Ruin is completely fine. In your ranks killers aren't as good either so you can take your time doing a gen or you can stop being scared and look for totem. That's how you'll learn how to play.
Rank =/= skill

@Sleephartha said:
I do.
If I get hit and get away I find it worth it to heal. As stated 2 survivors losing 16s is the same as 1 losing 32s so there is no efficiency loss from SC itself. The real question isn't whether to use SC, it's whether or not you should heal at all after being hit. Is it worth it to risk getting 1 hit in order to save the time healing in order to crank out gens.
Since I'm not the best runner, once I get hit I heal because if I get caught again (which is likely) it will take more time and risk for others to save me. There's an old saying "don't throw good money after bad". Don't make a bad situation worse by playing against the odds and in the end making things worse. If the odds are that you're going to get hit again, heal.
I'm not saying this is a rule, but a guideline for folks who aren't great runners. And there are still caveats - I work the last gen or 2 while injured and if there are great runners on my team keeping the killer busy I'm more likely to skip healing to focus on gens.
Medkit is better in all ways. If you aren't confident in chase you'll need the perk slot for a stealth perk.

Rank is not indicative of skill

If survivors are smart TT can actually be detrimental towards using pop but I see what you mean. It's mostly dependent on what killer you're using.

So survivors can perform braindead moves as farming without any punishment? only because is good for survivors doesnt mean is good for the game, survivors never waits for the killer to leave always farming specially SWF.
Try hitting the unhooker then come back and talk.

With the survivors all around the hook? Or them actually countering BBQ by going in a locker?
You can also remember what gens they're working on. If they're all near hook that's free pressure for you.
-
Not a problem usually, the real problem is the clipping traps you can't possibly see.

This wouldn't be a bad idea if the game was balanced around solo queue. It's not so no.

What’s the counter to DS-BT combo team that hook rush? There isn’t one... they all stay up from the ground/hook. DS is fine on it’s own and it’s one time but with BT the only counter is to hard proxy but then the survivors will do gens... so it’s like trying to force the killer to camp and then actually playing smart for a win if you have enough knowledge as survivor and admit it’s broken.
Have you tried not camping or tunneling? Works for me. A good way to help you do this is just run bbq or Thrilling Tremors.
-
TT is decent but I would rather use the perk slot for pop or nurse's. This is because bbq is good enough for me.

Gens don't take 3 min each, and gens get even slower as the trial progresses. Take these into account and come back fresh (try 1 min instead of 3 to start out if you need a hint bud)
