I only use basement if I am near it. As a killer it is handy, but as a survivor it can be a place where the dreaded camper lives.

If I being honest I can't take most people seriously on this forum when they suggest things for balance. I'm sorry to be rude but some ideas are just so terrible that I glad the devs don't listen to the community when it comes to feedback sometimes. It just seems like the majority of people on here don't want the game to be balanced they just want to make one side completely terrible and the game uneven.
Maybe I'm just being ridiculous myself but do people here even want balance for both sides?
I have to agree. There are things that need to be tweaked, but most games are like that. I actually think the game is pretty much balanced, its the level and experience of players that
The main problem is like you said, people want the side to play to be easier. It's the win at any cost mentality. It's a game, you can't win every game or get kills every game. I would much rather be a killer and lose to a good team, even if they have perks, because I do, then go for the easy game.
Maybe the only problem is the MMR, where low killers are getting high survivors and visa versa
-
No, is the simple answer.
I play killer and survivor equally. I enjoy getting as many hooks as I can, but many killers have resorted to just camping the hook now to get the kill. These players never play survivor, they will continue to play killer and continue to do what they are doing. A lot who play and don't camp may leave.
The question you need to ask is will people stop playing survivor, as many survivors are getting fed up of being camped.
Then you have to ask, if we lose the killers and it leaves the campers, then the survivors leave because of the camping, then where does it leave the game.
Whether you blame the update, the devs, the players or the MMR, something has to change.
-
I've read a lot of these post and seem to have an understanding of people's different opinions. I see that people see things different depending on the side of the fence.
If you mainly play killer, you don't like DS, gen speed, boon totems and the like, and these seem to be the reason why some people camp. Of course there will always be the ones that do it, purely for their own enjoyment to spoil the game for others, some that do it because the survivor is doing what they are supposed to do, such as use pallets and flashlight. Neither of these reason do I personally agree with. I don't play to spoil other peoples fun, and if I spend a game being hit by pallets or flashlights, that's down to me. I need to respect pallets and avoid the lights, or bring lightborn, but the majority seem to feel they need to do it for fear of losing.
Survivor mains seem to hate it, and gen rush for fear of being hooked and camped. Or they load up on perks to try to ensure they don't get hooked, using all the things that killers don't like.
Here is the problem and it is not just a game problem, it's more of a people problem. The game can never be totally balanced for everyone. Somebody who plays for hours as a killer or survivor, knows more then somebody who plays casual. You can't nerf things like gen speeds and perks for survivors and not expect it to hinder the casual and new players. Same as if you take out the perks that killers need, it will hinder people on lower levels.
As gamers, we are all competitive if we play these sorts of games, we hate to lose and will win at any cost. It's why there is so much endgame arguing. I have seen streamers blame people of cheating when they get beat, or just search for toxic DBD on Youtube. This is what needs to be changed, is the acceptance that some games you lose, some games win. In every game there are winners and losers, somebody who plays better then you. This mentality that you must get a kill or escape every game, you must pip up, level up, get high BP every game is why the game is suffering. If you win over 50% of your games then you are doing well, if not then look how you can change the way you play.
I have felt so much better about the game since I changed my outlook on it, stopped playing for wins and just had fun. So what if I lose a chase because they had some perk, so what if they unhook and escape or heal because of a boon totem. It's ggs and onto the next game.
Are there problems in the game, yes, but they won't change, you have to live with it. It was annoying being face camped, but it did not actually harm me, its a game. I feel that there are many players that will leave the game because of it and many that will never play it.
It is the biggest problem I can see in the game at the moment. Tea bagging at the gate I hate but it is just an action and does not spoil the game, it can be ignored.
Players have to learn that you win some, you lose some. Incidentally, I just played a game against a Ghost face, I was tunnelled and out first, my friend survived. End chat came and noticed the killer had one perk, so we all said gg's, one said nice chasing, expecting the killer just to move on or say ggs back. What we got was a torrent of abuse about playing female characters.

@BabuDweet said:
I can tell you that more than likely face camping will never be addressed since the devs really don't see anything wrong with it. In a recent q&a 'apparently!' They're experimenting with techniques but cannot make any promises to implement any.
I don't even believe they're testing anything tbh, personal view.
I'm at a point that face camping doesn't bother me anymore, or tunneling. Or survivors that wanna bully and clicky clicky etc..., cause that's just dbd now.
I get your frustrations though, it sucks the more much people play like scum or sweaty(both sides) since... MMR appeared.
Honestly, I would say just try not to get bothered and learn to live with it or else good luck wanting to stick to this game.
Just my personal opinion is all :)
I have just played a killer game, doing challenges like hitting survivor with weapon, breaking gens etc. Had a team that bad that I had to stand and let them heal, I was so afraid of hooking them incase they did not save or DC, because I wanted the challenge done in one game. When I let them have gate, they waited till end of timer tea bagging. At first I thought it was toxic, but then I thought it way of them just saying thanks for not camping and tunnelling, but after the night I have had, I can see why people do teabag to be toxic.
-
Always better to play for the chase. If you hook you only get called a camper anyway, no matter where you are on the map when they are hooked and die on it.
Just have fun, that is what games are made for. Its entertainment.

Can we all be friends here and agree some Survivors are entitled little crud nuggets that think they should have everything handed to them while others are not but can feel offended by how killers are atm in the game.
Alot of killers feel to get a decent score and not to get de-pipped or lose MMR is to camp and tunnel, which the Devs have said multiple times that is a valid strategy for killers to use. Is it fun no do all killers do it no but that's the way the game is right now. I feel alot of this is coming from both sides, survivors who think the game is about them and forget the Killer is a player too and Killers who, some but not all, wont learn new ways to mind game survivors and better ways to play their favorite Killer.
I agree. The funny thing is that the person who was giving it all in the chat after the game, was the person I tried to give chances, because they kept running into me instead of actually looping. I let them heal over and over to extend the game for them.
Like you said, there are a lot of new players on both sides. Killers who cannot chase and think it's the only way to at least get one kill, and entitled survivors like one on here, who think that because they are no good at the game, they should just have the win given to them.
Until the new killers learn that they can get kills if the practice and survivors actually learn what camping is, instead of using it everytime they lose, this will never end. It's the same with hacking. How many time must I watch a stream with somebody shouting that the killer is hacking, because they can see them, just because the killer has BBQ and Chilli or the like, or they can be downed by Plagues vomit, because they spend all game cleansing.
Maybe the game should make everybody play killer and survivor, then they can see it from the other side.
-
I hooked two people and then went upstairs to look for another survivor, from the third floor, where a gen was that was about to be done. Where did I say I stood at the top of basement stairs. Am I not allowed to look for other survivors, am I supposed to go to a gen that has already been done, or am I allowed to go to a good advantage point to actually look for another survivor. I mean I want to get your idea's right. If I stay in basement, stand anywhere in the building or anywhere around the building, looking for a survivor. I am a camper.
They opened the gate and the survivors in basement was about to die. Maybe I should have ran to the gate while they stood there, just to watch the tea bag. Or maybe BHVR should put in a sign that the killer can wave in the air saying "Survivor on hook here, come and get them".

@dugman said:
Survivors expecting you to chase them when it’s literally impossible for you to stop them from escaping are idiots. Why would they expect you to not defend the hook during the end game collapse when that’s literally the only thing in the match still left to defend?
I have a simple killer mindset. The more hooks I get, the more blood points I get and the more pips I get. I'm really fussed about kills, they are a bonus. If all four leave then they leave. I don't care about MMR, because I play for fun.
This is why I allow people to rescue, because it does me no favours to camp. I can spend my time getting another hook. But proxy camping is now classed as camping. Lets not forget that survivors take hits, block you when you are carrying somebody, use flashlights for the save, sabotage hooks and hide behind objects and in lockers by the hook ready for the save. Not forgetting boon totems so, if you don't keep pressure on in a chase, they just heal.
So I put a new rule in the rule book. A killer cannot be in the vicinity of the hook when somebody is on it, provided that no survivor has a flashlight or is anywhere in the vicinity of the hooked survivor during the process of hooking.
No, thought so. Survivors who cannot play the game, cry when the killer does anything.

I think what he was saying, is that they had already been hooked once. So that would be their 2nd hook I guess, right? But other than that, you’re absolutely right.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/292762/its-official
You went upstairs and stood there right? So yes, you camped. It’s not “proxy camping” when you’re standing at the ONLY entrance to the hook (basement), which is a small entrance. You can’t come here and literally explain how you were camping and then complain that others complained that you were camping lmao.
Please go and read the description again. It was a three story house, with a basement, a downstrairs and an upstairs. There are many ways into the house. I went upstairs to get another survivor that was on a gen. I guess gens are out of bounds for killers as well. This is when I got the second person in the basement. I then went up to see if there was anybody else, this is when they opened the gate.
So your rule is, once the killer has hooked a survivor, they cannot be in the area of the hook, they cannot go to the gen that they was working on, they cannot go hit them again after they get unhooked, they have to let them open the gate.
This is the problem with the game. The killers have one job, which is to kill the survivors to stop them escaping. It's simple and is in the tutorial. Many survivor have a completely different set of rules that change depending on if they escape, if they dies and how they died.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
I mean, you literally camped them and one hooked them in the basement, no? Like, I am all for it, bro, but they weren't wrong. By your own admission that is what you did. Your rebuttal should have been "gg ez, baby survivors." Not "so in order to not camp, I need to go cross map?" LOL.
Hold on, what you are saying that proxy camping is not allowed either. So where do you suggest the killer goes when they hook somebody?
And did you not actually read what I said. There was two in the basement, not one. They had all been hooked and allowed to unhook.
As I said, survivors think that the killer should just let unhooks be allowed. There was time for somebody to get into basement, unhook and leave. It's really not my fault when the survivors just got to gate and leave people still on hook. Maybe we should have a new system for killers. They can only hook once and then have to open the gate.
I don't know why so many survivors cry about killers when they carry Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Unbreakable and then have boons. Killers are supposed to let the survivors win and not even try.

Well you say if we don't like tunneling then move to another game, well I can say the same for you. If you don't like us complaining about it and wanting it to change then you can do the same too. Perhaps DBD needs less killer mains that play like this.
What, you want to cry because a killer plays the game. Then you come on here because you cant play the game and blame the killer.
You do know it's a competitive game. Maybe you would be better off playing Animal Crossing, where you can all be friendly together.
-
I think you get more BP for running the killer, then if you do gens and escape.
-
I am so sick and tired of these stop camping and tunnelling threads.
The aim of the game is to kill survivors, this is by any means. Whether the killer wants to play the game and spread the hooks, take one survivor out and then just worry about the rest, load up with perks, or camp the hook, then that is how the killer wants to play. If you don't like it then move to another game.
The only time camping is bad is when they actually facecamp, but then again, if the survivors want to be saviours then so the killer will camp. There are enough post on here telling people how to counter that.
How about all the survivors stand around one gen, so the killer can kill them evenly. No, so the survivors don't want to be told how to play, when survivors all go in with flashlights, or put totems all round. Survivors play how they play and killers will play how they play.
Stop the crying.
-
You don't need to face camp to win as killer. In fact you don't need to win every game, because it just a game.
Face Camping happens for a few reasons.
- The killer is either not good or feels unsure. They camp because they don't want the hassle of chasing round the map to find somebody else, and survivors are predictable and always go for the save, especially with a face camper.
- The killer thinks it is fun.
- The killer is toxic.
I have only been playing for a month, both survivor and killer. I don't face camp, in fact I find it a lot better to cover the gens, find survivors and just go from there. If they save then it gives me more hooks and if I lose then I try harder next time.
-
So you hook a survivor on first hook. You then have a choice, leave them and go look around, or proxy camp them knowing that the team will carry on doing gens, because the survivor will never die.
Great idea....NOT.
-
I spend more times doing the challenges. If I escape its a bonus, if not at least I did the challenge and dont have to worry about campers and tunnellers.
When I am killer then it is up to me when I do them, cause I can let the survivors do their thing.
-
@Aurelle said:
I think the tomes are fine, but the challenges can be a bit ridiculous sometimes. The Rift is the only thing keeping me playing this game right now.
Agreed. Its either easy escape or all die, or as killer easy 4K or hard slog to lose. No even games at the moment.
-
Simple things to change boon totems, any or all.
- When they are snuffed out, they are broken and cannot be reused.
- They healing can only be used by the person blessing to totem and one other person.
- Limit the tiime totems are up.
- Limit one totem. First come first served.
- Get rid of them altogether. What was wrong with med kits, self care and team healing.
-
Please don't get rid of DC penalties.
If you are a survivor and get matched with idiots or a angry killer, just die on hook and move to the next game.
If you are a killer the ultimate dick squad, then just run around scaring them off gens, taking pot hits. Don't chase, let them keep healing and doing gens till they finish, then let them escape while running from the gate, or just do a challenge.
The only real person that loses out when you DC is you. It's you that loses BP and you that has the penalty.
-
The killer can play how they want, such as a survivor can play how they want. If the killer wants to let you do gens, then do gens. Why should it bother you what the killer does. If you are stupid enough to not keep watch of the killer then that is your look out.
The killers task is simple, stop you leaving, how he does that, whether it be ruin to slow you down, taking out one person at a time or spending time scratching his bum before he locks the gate and uses noed, that's down to him.
It seems like killers can't win on this forum. Now it's "The killer let us do gens, but hit us occasionally"
I bet at the end of the game you got loads of bloodpoints, and so did he. I've had games like this. I did my gens and left.
-
I agree.
I had this conversation with a friend a while back. Reset the perks on all survivors, then lock the starting perks to each survivor. At the moment you can pick one survivor and put what ever perks you want from other survivors once they are unlocked. By doing this, each survivor would have a role. SWF would still build a team for them, but other teams would decide if the need a healer, a technician to do gens quicker and a runner.
Then we thought about it and decided against, because the killer would know who to go for first, such as the healer, take out the technicians and leave the runner till last, and know who is who.

@adam1233467 said:
They buff wraith to be actually be a good killer, after that, they nerfed him, I don't understand the devs sometimes
Simple if the buff a killer, the survivors moan they are OP. If the nerf the killer, the killers moan the survivors are OP.
-
This thread has ended up like all the other threads on campers and tunnellers.
Lets just get down to the nitty gritty. As a survivor it is a pain being hooked, chased, hooked, chased, hooked and then killed, with no time to do anything else. Its also a pain being hooked then waiting for the save that never comes because the killer is there ready to take vengeance on anybody who dares to come close.
On the otherside, sometimes this is a necessary evil and part of the game. If the killer is new and matched with some expert team, or if the team goes mad with flashlights or boons. Survivors can't moan at the killers for trying to win anyway they can, just like the killer can't moan when the survivors play the way they do to win.
There will always be people who want to have fun by spoiling things for others, it happens in every walk of life. The game is the game, either accept it or move to another game.
-
Many games I do this now then lose some. I call it playing with my food.
I have started playing Wraith more, hooking my first survivor and then leaving and going over the other side of the map and letting them unhook. If they seem lie they are not great then the game plays like this and I get high BP. If they look better then I play different or just do the same and let them escape. My MMR goes up and down, but I enjoy the game better and don't get teams with 4 flashlights that, as somebody else said, are like a seal team.
-
Sorry but I do my best not to camp and tunnel, as I normally play survivor and know what it is like. However with the game in such bad state, sometimes it is the only way to get kills.
Boons are getting more prevalent and when teams play it's worse. Hits are getting worse, the amount of times I hit somebody only to get the hit animation and survivor still keep running, or hit somebody on a window or pallet and the same thing happens.
Then the MMR puts you in a game with idiots, running around like they don't know what they do, then the next time it's like it's your first time and you are playing a team who knows every loop and can zoom around.
Then you get the players who wants to run you all game while the rest gen rush and has so many perks to keep them alive. Not great players but are saved with op perks and boon totems.
When the game is about getting kills then I do what I can.
When I play survivor of course, these are great and I love everything about the game.
When I always played survivor at the start, I said it was killer sided. Then as I played and got better on both sides, I thought it was equal. The more I play and the higher MMR I get I see that it is survivor sided and getting worse.
Until BHVR do something about hit validation and boon totems, camping and tunnelling will be the main part of the game.
-
I'm quite new to the game, only a month, but I get 4K most game, but it is so boring because of low level of survivors. Then a few games later I get a team where I cannot get a second hook.
There seems to be a lot of threads from killers all saying the same. MMR with boon totems means bad things. Us low rank players get it easy because we get the survivors who stand in front of you with wide open eyes, like I am going to shout Trick or Treat instead of hitting them. I have even gone behind player oblivious to me and still doing gens.
-
Boon totems kill ruin and the like. It used to be that survivors just kept on gens as best they could and if they got rushed off that was the price to pay. Now there is always somebody looking to find totems to put down boons, always finding ruin on the way.
-
I have that. You have a great match and a 4K on 5 gens. Next game you can't get a kill and they are all out.
I play survivor and either it's an easy exit or we all get downed by Rambo on heat.
Just sometimes there is an even, sweaty game with both sides equal.
It's when you look at the end and you have red ranks matched with bronze. I know these are not counted, but they must stand for something, otherwise they would not have them. As I play and rank up I learn where the loops are, how to move survivors where I want. Then I go into a game and find a new player that walks aimlessly, then runs in a straight line without even thinking where I am. One hit they turn, only to run in another straight line. Then they do the same again when they get unhooked, standing around and because you don't just go in the opposite direction, you get called tunneller.
I've given up on some games, I just run from gen to gen and spread the love on different hooks. Only way I can get BP otherwise the game is over. Then next game I work hard all game for nothing.

Still levelling up killers, so waiting to get Franklins, then the first person I go for will be the one with the flashlight.

@Milo said:
So, by this logic, flashlight saves should also be removed? The killer is stuck in an animation. Diffrence is, the survivor does have to time it pretty well to pull it off.
(Also, you still can hear the survivor running or grunting)
No, thats not what I wrote. Flashlights and pallet saves are fine, they can be defended against by having control of the character. however the control is taken away while the animation plays. Lets take a survivor situation, you run through a gate and the exit animation takes over. The killer comes in and you cannot move left or right, just forward, because thats what the animation does. The killer take a swing and you fall to the ground but cannot move because it's still animation time. The killer hooks you and you die, no fault of your own, just the way the game is. How many survivors would be on here screaming to remove it. Now imagine that all through a game with a team carrying flashlights, every time you get near a pallet, having to stand back because not only do you get stunned by the pallet, but you stand there unable to stop being blinded.
With regards to your last comment. Yes, but if you run blind, where do you run?
-
I don't blame them. The game after all is do gens and get out. I just feel sorry for the poor player who played hard and well, then hung for three hook cycles, while the person they went out of their way to save and got hooked for left them. They did not even try or go close.

Personally, I think the frantic clickity-click offscreen from a survivor that wants me to chase them while I'm deliberately ignoring them and chasing someone else is very satisfying.
I agree. Its normally a swf and they are the best at looping, so ignore them. Its the same with constant banging on the other side of the map, when you know they are doing gens where you are. These players are not toxic, they just think killers are stupid.
Although playing survivor I have used it for come here and heal, or come here and do gen, or even run cause the killer is coming. Really must learn Morse code.
-
As a killer, I generally do not tunnel, I prefer the longer game, try to three gen them and patrol the triangle. It does not always work, but I find it more fun.
There are times when I have to tunnel, such as if somebody has a flashlight, I would rather get them out of the game first, basically because it is just annoying and these are the people who normally moan about killers, secondly if there is a Mikaela, because I don't want infinite healing points. Once she is gone they team have to group up to heal or find med kits. I don't normally bother with Claudettes self care, because she is just one and to be honest, not much of a threat.
The other reason is if the games pace is quick, say with a swf, then it is better to break the team up quick.
As a survivor it is very annoying and I have some survivor friends that hate it with a vengence. Getting chased and downed over and over, then leaving the game with little points is terrible, but not the end of the earth. I try to explain that sometimes it is a valid tactic just as proxy camping, when you wait for another survivor to come for the rescue, then down them as they fail and run. Also when you slug somebody and leave them on the floor before the last kill, then go for the final teammate, just so you get the 4K before the hatch spawns.
Survivors will moan that it is killer sided, that the killers perks are better, the killer is overpowered and the killers tactics are bad, but the aim of the game is make kills any way possible, and the more the better.
Killers will moan that it is survivor sided, with 16 perks, gen rushing, flashlights, swf and all the rest, but the aim of the game is to do gens and survive to escape, by any means possible.
It is what it is.

Totally agree. Fed up of hitting somebody, having the animation for the hit with the sound, then finding that the survivor has run off without the hit. If I miss I miss, I have had survivors run in a straight line injured, had the hit and then watched them carry on running.

We'll have to agree to disagree. Getting hit by a killer while you're hooked may not be fun but I don't see it as toxic.
Telling someone to die in endgame chat is toxic. I see it as an entirely different thing.
If this sort of behavior impacts you so negatively it might be best you stop playing DbD, however.
Well maybe you should try to read before commenting, because not once did I say it impacted me, what I was saying was that it needs to stop.
Let me put it in simple terms. toxicity breads toxicity. Some survivor plays the game and the killer is toxic, they feel the need to be toxic back, not just in that game but the next, so the next killer feels like they should be toxic, until it is too much and people, as you say, stop playing DBD, just have they have with other games, where people started getting toxic and then people left, then because there was less players, less people buying DLC and skins, servers was shut down and the games died.
Well I like playing DBD, I don't let it impact me negative because I have seen things in this world that would give you nightmares, which is why I don't want the game to end because of the few idiots and the ones that come on here and try to defend it.
But feel free to have your own opinion. I will have mine because I have seen too many games die because of idiots.

@DbDCasual said:
Nothing that happens in-game is toxic. Tea bagging, camping, hook disabling, hitting a hooked survivor, whatever. That's not toxic. You may not like it but it's not toxic. It's just little animations on a screen doing stuff.
Toxic is what happens in end game chat or post-game messages where one human says to another human "Get cancer" or some such. What our characters do to each other on a computer game is meaningless. What we do to each other as human beings is what matters.
The character animations are controlled. They are not AI, so somebody is there with a controller or mouse and keyboard playing that character. The character becomes and extension of the person, so by definition, if the character is being toxic and the character is controlled, then the person playing is being toxic, but that is a different argument.
When somebody then comes on the end chat and starts calling a team every swear word because they was beat, then that is toxic.
Now I don't really care what is said, it is words on the screen and what they do in the game is in the game, but firstly, these are the same people who slate survivors for tea bagging and saying they are toxic, secondly it gives a lot of killers who proxy camp a bad name and increases the toxicity all round. If people saw it as a game, which is what it is, then people could just have fun, after all if you get hit in the game, it does not physically hurt in real life. If you are beat then you are beat, move on to the next game and try harder.
By the way, I am writing this while being camped and hit by a killer, because we have done gens.
-
Toxic is simple. Somebody who stands at the hook hitting the survivor on hook because they cannot chase somebody else, or how about somebody that writes so much at the end of the game that is censored because they only had one hook.
What would you consider toxic?
-
@YuisPinkBob said:
Camping killers directly affects gameplay whereas a survivor t-bagging at the end of the match or after a dropped pallet doesn't. They're not comparable.
They are both toxic, which makes them both bad.
-
In addition. Isn't the game supposed to be a challenge. Easy is to sit and watch YouTube. It's more rewarding to win when it was a challenge, getting easy wins can be boring.
-
There is no real way of making matchmaking perfect.
Option 1 - Match based on overall XP - This matches the players that play the longest play together, this does not make sure that they are the best players, it could just be people who have a lot of time on their hands but never really get to grips with the game.
Option 2 - Match based on Skill - Skill of what, a survivor who can do a lot of gens? What about looping, they may not be great at that but played a lot of games hiding and doing gens. What about escapes, the player that hides in the corner but gets the gate because other players have done the work, do they get the skill level, while the person that ran the killer for five gens, got hooked in basement and watch the rest of the team leave, gets a lower skill level.
Option 3 - Match on some random mystery number based on a mystery algorithm - We have this now.
A casual mode would not be any good, because anybody who wants an easy game will use it no matter what skill. They have this on other games and it works when they have ranked, but if you get a lot of people who just use it as a training ground, so you end up with more losses.

I have seen other post where people DC'd and the remaining survivor moaned because the killer killed them. They said that the killer should have let them do gens and escape.
Now we have a post because the killer did not kill, maybe the killer was trying to be nice and let you wiggle and do gens, both getting BP.
It seems like there are some times when the killer does not know what to do for the best. I have been in both situations, killed and been argued with, not killed and been argued with.

Isnt MMR based on skill on not how long you have been playing? I know MMR is not great, but surly if it is matching with new players, either they are good and at your level, or you are not so great and at their level.
No, just kidding, it's rubbish. Many times, as a killer I have seen good players matched with bad players. I think it's BHVR's joke way of trying to keep queue times down, just put anybody with anybody else instead of actually matching people.

Run them away from the boon totem and just slug anyone that gets in the way. When they get hit once they tend to move out of the way, or just fool them by going to another hook. This is what I do with players that try and flashlight save, or try to damage the hook. As a killer it's all about mind games. Put them where you want them to go. Make them jump the window, use the pallet. Don't be afraid of losing some gens at the beginning because it gives you less to patrol.
You will always get teams that play together and will do anything to get the win. I had one today with a really bad team. I wanted to give them a chance as I wanted pumpkins. Two left decided to hide in the lockers in basement, banging doors to get my attention. When I ignored they came out. I hit both and then downed one. I was going to leave one on the floor and go for other but could not be bothered, so I hooked them. The other went to hatch and the one on hook just DC'd, so I had no time to chase. They got the hatch at the price of a DC. I could not see the point myself, but they will be celebrating they got a win on a game that would have been just 4 hooks if I did not want it to extend.

I've never understood why teabagging at the gate is an issue? Like, just hit them and they'll run out. Is it that hard?
It's not so much the teabag, its the standing at the gate wasting time. Survivors moan when they don't escape, so escape when you have the chance. The last thing I want to do as a killer is to stand waiting or have to run to the gate to chase them out. Just move on.

Don't get me wrong. My solution is to go back into the map, wait and browse the internet.
Its just I have seen a lot of survivors crying about tunnelling and camping, I thought I would even the score.
-
So every killer camps and tunnels?
By camping do you mean hooking you and standing right by the hook, or hooking you and moving around away from you trying to find another survivor who wants to rescue you. Just because they are in the vicinity does not always mean you are being camped.
And by tunnelling do you mean that because you are running away from the hook, injured and the killer happens upon you again and decides to hit you then hook you, or because they want to win and it is better to get a player out then concentrate on three survivors, rather then worrying about four.
For them playing the game you are going to be toxic. What would happen if everybody decided that. I play as survivor and sometimes I get proxy camped and tunnelled, it happens and is a legitimate way to play. The odd occasion I get face camped by a killer in the basement or some other hook.
Then there are the killer games I play, normally the ones where I am busy doing challenges when I just want to damage gens, break pallets or another challenge, and I don't worry about the survivors doing gens and escape. Then I get the toxic survivors who teabag at the gate and use flashlights instead of leaving.
Yes it is annoying, but I don't lower myself to their standards. I think it's could be a killer who is having a bad day with no kills, or just some little idiot who's a loner with no friends who's only enjoyment is being toxic. Or its the survivors who have this thought that because they escaped they must be superior in some way, but they will go on to play another killer who is not busy doing challenges, with this ill-fated confidence and probably get hooked first time. While I will know the truth, got my challenge done and be onto the next game.
Just ignore toxic people and move on.

to anyone saying "do gens": is that what you're playing the game for? holding m1?
What is the point of the game for a survivor, oh to do gens and then escape. All the rest is fluff and nonsense. Opening chest gives you items you can buy on the bloodweb. Cleansing totems just helps you to survive or do gens. Looping the killer is what you do to survive or give the team time to do gens, if you can all stay out of the way of the killer, there is no need for this.
The game for a survivor is do gens to escape, so yes, if you bought this to play survivor, then you play it to to hold m1 and do gens. If you get hooked and somebody keeps you on the hook, people moan. If you get rescued and then they chase you again people moan. If they get killed they moan. Now you are moaning about doing gens to escape.
I think some people should spend more time learning the game and getting better then moaning on here.
Some games you win, some you lose. Some you have a good game, some you have a bad. Some games you meet toxic people. This is life.

Too many post about camping. Toxic players and poor players will camp, just as people will use hacks. Other online games do the same things, anything for that easy kill or just to be toxic. Just as survivor who wait at the gate to teabag. You cant change the mentality of some players
