I do have a few suggestions on changes (in my opinion would help)
but was Dead Hard meta since it's release I didn't play then (I started playing when Legion came out)
Honestly if I could suggest one thing for each problem it would be this.
1) If you're going to put a lot of restrictions on a perk make it worth the restrictions. If the perk could easily lose its power make sure that the reward is strong enough to have it worth having it be potentially removed.
Devour hope- is conditions and restrictions done right.
Restriction- being 24 m away from the hook.
Condition- power creep is based on tokens
Limiter- Hex can be destroyed
Reward- insane amount of snowball potential from a speed Boost to insta downs to moris.
2) Honestly this is super easy buff these perks in their specific jobs and make them really strong in those specific categories. It shouldn't be outclassed by a universal perk at doing its job.
It's sad to say but I can't really think of anything that's a prime example of it being done right even though I'm a dedicated user of niche perks
3) Just like with the number two the solution is easy if you don't have any control over whether and activates or not make sure that it's strong enough to be worth it.
Take haunted grounds for example
You have no control over whether someone destroys that Totem however once it is destroyed even if you're not in a position to get it down it put everybody on edge.
Healthy survivors in chases will start throwing pallets down like mad. People go completely immersed the psychological impact of just having that one shot potential can be devastating.
Another good example would be tinkerer even if you're not in the position to get to that gen fast enough your new found stealth capabilities can easily allow you to to get in there and get a sneaky hit

Taking me the first hollowed blight event into account and the journal entries from that it's pretty clear that they are different people honestly I'm kind of confused as to where people got the idea that Vigo was The Alchemist/Blight .
20 October - Vigo
I discovered a hidden laboratory while running away from a monster. Its stocks are uncommonly plentiful. I observed shelves of alkaloids, crates of silver syringes, piles of protective clothes and a journal signed “Vigo”. Its pages are filled with notes on an ancient force that controls the nature of this place—that shapes it. I also noted a few drawings of the growing cankers I've seen on trees.
This basically describes how the blight got a hand on the journal in the first place.
30 October - Vigo II
I looked for Vigo. I shouted his name with no concern for the monsters lurking about. I need to find him… I picture the scene, etching a canvas of wild lines in my mind, focusing on the moon and I know—something is off. I fed the dead rodent under my pillow.
this is kind of the nail in the coffin considering we know that Mr Grimes who becomes the Bright is the narrator for these entries it would be pretty weird if Vigo was writing about how he went to look for Vigo.
Honestly this kind of strikes me as a similar situation as to people thinking the Legion killed Jeff's Dad from a mild lore glance it's a possibility but the second you look into it there are too many contradictions for it to be a realistic possibility

I would be fine by dropping my Item. Because in the end, an Offering should not completely negate a Perk.
But when using a White Ward, the Survivor should keep the Item at the end of the Trial.
That would ruin secure item trading.
One of the good things about how the white Ward works me and said if you get your friend to give you when item for example a rare event item like any of the 4th year dear if you have a white Ward whether or not you die you can guarantee that you could save it.
If it were to save your loadout this would ruin the possibility of this happening

I've always held the opinion that if your team gets completely wiped by a killer using no one escapes death when that killer couldn't even get a single down before your team is probably not as good as you think it is.
Even with that boost there is no way a killer that bad should get an entire team wipe

RTB is only a 2:30 timer without Tampered Timer addon. That's not a great deal of time to weight to die.
It's still shorter than the full 4 minutes of slugging
-
Problem with that is usually some people just wants their problem addressed before anything else is done so when another problem is brought up they usually start waving their problem in everyone's face
-
When you're forced to join a suicide cult

Same league as Oni.
I love Legion but they're not in the same postcode as Oni let alone League
-
They probably just going to continue their list before they arbitrarily switch to deathslinger.
Huntress still needs to get in line with the the add-on formula specifically needing another ultra rare and a change to iridescent head
Myers also doesn't fit the formula
Amanda and Legion are both in desperate need of add-on reworks
Not to mention Clown
The only time I've seen them rearrange their priorities to get a killer ironed out real quick was with legion and that was simply because initially Legion was very abusable
-
You can only escape through the exit gates if the Trap has not been active not if it's paused if it's just paused it will still kill you if you try to leave.
So if you have an active reverse bear trap on your head regardless of if the pig is chasing you or not if you try to leave through the gate you will die.
Remember if you want downed being chased or on the hook the timer is paused for the Trap but it's still very much active
-
Every killer in technicality has counterplay.
The problem is is just how effective the counterplay is.
For deathslinger the counter players to keep distance and just make sure there are objects between you and him.
Well that's good in theory and it is in technicality counterplay it just doesn't feel responsive or skillful.
Most of the time you just don't have the luxury of of tons of trees or objects in front of you at which point you just have to hope Mr cowboy misses.
Pyramid head falls under a similar bubble you have to try to force out the punishment. However not every loop gives you that option so then you fall into a similar spirit like situation where you have to just guess what he's going to do and I hope you made the right decision.
However unlike spirit pyramid head has a lot more reaction time on his part he can notice what you're doing and instead of committing just fake it or vice versa

I lost my death garden mask, I had it a while ago, after a patch I don't anymore.
But I think the reason why people don't want legacy to be free when they had to go through the annoying old bloodwebs.
I think you misunderstood what I meant by I don't understand the issue around Legacy.
I know why it's exclusive I understand the reason why they don't want to give it out however personally I don't understand the massive amount of desire of wanting Legacy.
As I said the characters I main are either licensed or original but they came out after Legacy was a thing.
Survivors
Min
Cheryl
Yui
Killers
Amanda
Legion
Sexy Triangle Man
Demi Logorgon
so I have no real want of legacy
-
Currently Legacy isn't the only exclusive locked to PC.
For example you have the death garden masks.
However considering they now have a redeem code function in the store for all platforms it is possible for them to distribute some of those exclusives.
Personally I can't really understand and the issue with Legacy but I guess that's probably because nobody I really play has it as they were released after Legacy was a thing.
I do however feel disappointed about the event cosmetics being given away now you didn't have to go out of your way to earn them but they were nice little badge that said hey I was playing a game around this time which isn't really the case now.
Voiced my opinion on exclusives before. I'm fine with time-based or event-based exclusives as long as every platform has access to them it's when you start locking things behind platforms that it starts becoming a problem
-
I'm really hoping for the Legion outfit to still have them face-changing mechanic on it.
I'm totally going to use the mask for Joey especially if that's the case and even if it face-changing animations it's still nice looking mask.
I'm also glad that I'll finally have another outfit for Frank besides his Day of the Dead outfit I at least have two outfits I like wearing with each Legion member Frank was needing his second. (Same with Julie as her Rift one is the only one I like)

Ok yer lol that I can see as a issue hrmmmm maby the last survivor the crows appear faster if there not on gens or a totem and will only be removed if your doing one of the 2 or in a chase or if using SC they slowly gain birds so they cannot try to hostage take with that
Honestly a decent change they could do that will solve some of these problems would be if you were the last to complete a generator before Hatch was closed it will count as completing for the last generator so if you managed to leave through an exit Gate you get your achievement.

players hated the sets, they made this claudette skin like that so it's not a set. If it ended as set players would still complain
I feel like I'm making it set said would have been a bad idea not because of complaining but because it's probably not with the initial designer designer of the cosmetic wanted.
If we ever have a cosmetic contest next year maybe if people want set they could personally request that when they're doing the design work but I feel like unless that specified it shouldn't just be linked at random

I'm sorry I'm confused... Why exactly is it a problem they added minor details such a necklace and earrings? You won't even notice those in the game lmao
To be surprised what people notice as somebody who mains Feng Min I immediately noticed changed her nail colour.
When you have the Phoenix Polo on or the victory Polo her nails would be golden a lot of people who played Min noticed that they got changed to blue randomly.
Hell a decent the amount of people were annoyed Jane and Min's hair colour changed from the Greek Legends trailer to in game with Jane having blonde hair in the trailer and Min having black place to both of them getting brown hair
However on this stand point I do think if you're running a cosmetic contest and you choose a winning design you should keep to the design

Yeah that was a derp on my part but nurses and Undying are perks that it could help out.
If there's anything it could do for barbecue it could make the barbecue safety zone smaller so instead of 40 m it becomes something like 30 m

Honestly I think exposed is probably one of the three best status conditions. Along with oblivious and undetectable.
All three are amazing when it comes to keeping people on edge.
So it can be frustrating to be in a chase and then have that one person break hunting grounds.
But that moment of complete oh my god I just crapped my pants because this killer is right behind me and exposed is now on is perfect.
Especially from good survivors chases don't really seem that threatening they know how to loop they know how to 360. However when exposed comes into play your on edge because you have only two options hide and hope you don't get found or Outrun and juke the Killer.
Personally it's one of the few times I actually feel like I'm in a horror movie where are all it's going to take is the killer to give me one stab to bring me down.
Oblivious and undetectable do similar jobs to each other as they cause you to be constantly vigilant of your surroundings as one moment of not paying attention behind you could cause you to get grabbed or attacked.
-
In lore there is only one of each survivor and one of each killer. ( while there are four legions there is only one of each specific member so only only one Joey and so on) this has already been confirmed
The reason why you can have multiple of the same survivors is simply because the devs don't want to restrict people from using their favourite characters.
Especially considering how the perks work it would be a massive middle finger if I can't play My Min or Cheryl who both have every perk in the game and was forced to play survivors who barely have Tier 2 perks.
But if you want to make your own head canon you could use the multiverse Theory even though I'm pretty sure the way Dead by daylight uses it is just to explain how killers and survivors of drastically different circumstances can be in the Fog.
For example licensed characters ( a good example would be Steve and Nancy who have Michael Myers as a fictional character in their world).
Or if they decide to do a survivor or killer from an apocalypse without canonising an apocalypse in the main universe they could say it happened in one of the multiverses.
Essentially multiverse at least the way is being portrayed in this game is more for establishing completely different characters rather than different aspects of the same character

"What about this", "What about that", "What about X killer thing", "What about X survivor thing". With this attitude nothing will get done. I am focusing on one issue of the game. Yes, there are plenty of crutch and unfair perks survivor has but I am talking about stacking slowdowns.
The problem you brought up is a decent one it can feel completely a necessary to deal with a lot of stacked slow down however you seem to be trying to attack a symptom not a root cause.
The problem with suggestions like these in usually focuses around I don't like this so I think it shouldn't be here but it doesn't ask the question of why is it like this.
You want to fix the problem with stacking slowdown perks you need to ask yourself why slow down perks to stacked in the first place. Trying to fix the symptom without dealing with the problem doesn't help deal with the thing causing the symptoms before you deal with the symptoms

I sympathize with survivors, as a Killer main. Isn’t this BHVR because of that one perk that acts like the survivor version of BBQ N Chilli. I mean, people need to fight for stacks in Solo and it gets brutal.
Wish they include 1-2 more equivalent BBQ N Chilli type perks for also doing other things in game. Like popping gens or doing bones.
It's really rough for solo players.
When it comes to the game I play 40/60. 40% survivor and 60% killer and when I mainly play survivor it's usually solo.

You are aware that the perk don´t force you to heal if the time is bad, right? You still gan co for that unhook if you see noone else is available and the killer is away from the hook. And you can still kill that hex totem before you heal yourself, and you can still finish that 95% gen.
Nothing of this is an argument why being healed by another player is better than being healed yourself.
The only exception might be if the killer camps, your buddy heals you up, and you can both go to the hook sooner, but thats the only scenario you mentioned (and i use you mentioned it loosly here) where it is better than self care. While if i am chased by the killer and can heal at every pallet or behind a bush if i juked the killer is way superior to running the killer to you to heal me.
Also, you are aware that people who think they need to be 100% heald all the time
a) can be right, because they might go down instantly if the killer comes if they suck at chases
or
b) will not go for that unhook if they are injured, and if noone is there to heal them they let that guy die. How is that better than self care?
You seem to think that not running self care magicly transform players without game assesment skills into people that can evaluate every situation accuratly. Let me tell you, while i think self care is powerfull, its not that mighty.
Also notice that i mostly play solo survivor, and i had several games where other survivors refused to heal me. We finished a gen, and they run to the next one instead of healing. Why? Because if you do a gen together and the killer comes, and one survivor is an easy target, who do you think he goes for? I never play solo without selfcare.
Honestly I couldn't agree more for some strange reason a lot of people take the actions of players to me in the general worth of the perk.
Do some people tend to overindulge in self-care and grow bad habits yes is that the fault of self-care no.
It's a good perk in certain situations even a great perk it just has a tendency of being over used by people with very bad habits

How is that nonsense? You could just grab a medkit or get a teammate to heal you.
I’ve died too many times on hook because a teammate is using SC. It’s not a bad perk when you’re in a tight spot but otherwise, I really dislike how much time it takes.
That sounds like more of a problem with the survivor in general being a potato rather than the actual perk itself.
Self-care can actually be quite useful provided you know how to use it however it requires common Sense and most people who just only rely on self care and don't have that.
If you can heal quicker don't you self care.
If you're in a situation where you're the only available person to rescue people don't you self care.
The thing about getting someone to heal you is that you often pull to people off of objectives for 16 seconds that means for 16 seconds two people aren't doing anything objective wise.
A lot of people see 16 seconds heal opposed to a 32 second heal and automatically think that's better without thinking of the general context. Sometimes it can actually be more beneficial to have one person spending 32 seconds doing something whilst like whilst some other person is healing then removing both of them out of the equation.
Also against a good Oni self care can be quite useful so you don't leave a crap ton of blood orbs is giving him free blood Fury
-
Can we please not turn this into platform Wars can we acknowledge them we're all collectively not as good as we think we are.
I've watched enough PC players to know that potatoes are potatoes people on PC stop acting like are catastrophically worse than you. Our potatoes are just as potatoey as your potatoes. Our average players are just as averages your ones are and our good players are just as good as your good players are.
Console players you have no idea what platform you're going up against stop acting like the potatoes that we've encountered all since we started playing on are suddenly exclusively PC players.
Can one aspect of this game be added without a turning into an us vs them thing

So we have a ton of white characters because, obviously. But for POC characters we have Jane, Zarina, and Ace maybe. Three... we only have three POC characters. The same is with black characters... the three black characters are, claud, Tapp and Adam. Which is even worse because we only have ONE black woman which is the most hated group of people for some reason even though they’re the prettiest on the planet. And the Tapp is a licensed character so they didn’t even take the time to design the character and choose the race so practically there’s only two. And then theirs two Asians. Come on bhvr gives us more POC! And if you have a new chapter idea and survivor who is white just change them to black. It costs no effort whatsoever
There are 3 Asians survivors the game
Jake - Asian-American (Korean if you want to be exact)
Min- Chinese
Yui- Japanese

It won't solve stupidity, but it will give solos the same tools swf have. If they are smart enough to use them or not, it's up to them.
Making the totem counter a perk is again defeating the whole purpose of buffing solos to the same level of swf and then adjusting killers. SWF knows how many totems are left without a perk, that's the whole point: SWF gets so many built-in perks and so much information without the use of perks.
Making 50 perks that when combined give solos some info doesn't solve anything.
The problem with solo survivor isn't the lack of information it's the reliance on teammates.
That is why I brought up the kindred issue well yes you can add kindred it doesn't fix you having bad teammates.
Like with the clip I showed the killer couldn't even get people to save me before I got killed my first hook.
Survive with friends even though they mess about can rely on each other. You can shoot information out all day long but it's the reliability that people will use the information that makes survive with friend so strong.
Having a total counter in the base kit doesn't mean that people will care enough to do totems if they pass it.
Perks like small games and detectives hunch help with the totem problem because it gives clear and accurate information.
As someone who who mainly plays solo when I'm playing Survivor you usually have to do the extra mile so you don't have to rely on teammate is heavily. And that's where the initial problem lies survive with friends will always be stronger because not only can I tell my friend something but I can make sure they do it.

I will say this.
You can blame everyone who purchases the Rift and Rift tiers.
The devs/company will never change the system if it continues to sell and the people who choose to support the battlepass of a paid game with paid dlc continue to pour money into a company more interested in selling you shiny things than making a good game experience.
Well they're not really selling me new shiny things. That would consist of dolls for each character, all unique charms and All That Jazz
They're selling me a rock then a slightly darker rock as I sigh in dread and horror because I could see the three other progressively darker rocks in their hands.
But that aside it is nice to have you comment. I do quite enjoy hearing your opinions even though it is contentious most of the time.

Well the same people scream their lungs out every single time someone proposes a change to give solo the same kind of info as swf. So the whole argument is "buff solos but not really then buff killers so much".
Want examples? People keep asking for a totem counter on the hud and killer mains keep saying "nah bruh it's so easy to cleanse all the totems in solo q". SWF already has a totem counter built in, you can ask your team how many totems everyone cleansed, then you know how many are left. So why don't give solos a totem counter?
Want more examples? Kindred basekit. In SWF you can talk and decide who goes for the unhook and who remains on the gen, in solos you can't do that. When devs wanted to make Kindred basekit people lost their mind. So yea, buff solos but not really.
The only argument I've heard against a totem hud counter is normally against it being part of the base kit usually people just say add it to a perk like how thrill of the hunt counts the totems in the game.
As for kindred being base kit that seems perfectly fine however it's not going to solve the problem of people just being stupid. More information isn't going to cure stupidity I've seen games as killer where solo survivors with kindred have been left to die on first Hook.
This is a clip of one of my solo survivor matches.
https://youtu.be/q33LGHaDarMWhen even the Killer can't get the survivors to realise you should probably save the person on hook I doubt kindred is going to do much

They need the filler to justify the grind to get you to pay to bypass it. It's pretty simple and often replicated:
1.) Create problem
2.) Provide solution
3.) Profit!!
EDIT: If charms actually did something they might be worth more. Thinking BP % gains for one. The grind is out of control here.
My problem is that I just wish it wasn't filler.
Add dolls for the characters who haven't got them yet but have been in the tomes so people who like those characters don't have to wait for them to reappear after that make sure when you're doing the tomes you give everybody in it their own doll from now on.
That's two slots out of the unnecessary 10 filler taken up. Add some perks charms or something that just isn't the same charms just with colour swaps
With a little bit of effort that's already slots filled up but with actual value.
If they want a padded out with charms I'm fine with that but I wouldn't much prefer if the charms would actually have some worth

I like how they clearly ran out of ideas even before the first battlepass release.
It had a charm that is a purple arcade cabinet. Why is it purple? Why an arcade cabinet? It would have been so easy to make it not look completely awful by just adding a different texture for the screen, or change the "body" of the cabinet to have stickers or graffiti or something on it. But nah, giant purple blob it is.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1530651#Comment_1530651
"You unlocked 1 new reward!" You click it. You see it's another ugly charm that no one will ever use or remember that it even exists. But the next level has a cosmetic! And it costs only 100 Auric Cells to unlock it immediately!
That's the reason the charms exist, like you said. It's manipulative and designed to be as scummy as possible to get people to spend money.
As I said for the most part I don't have a problem with the charms themselves it's the fact that 10 slots especially of the premium Rift are essentially wasted on these charms that nobody is going to use.
If you want to shrunk it full charms at least give us something unique or something that we want
