I still think you should get a bloodpoint reward at every rank reset based on your rank
People don't care enough for BP alone. They should make it shards.
Shards can be turned into BP so it'll catch both people who value cosmetics, free perks, and BP.

I'm pretty sure you can close hatches opened by keys too. So even if you failed to get one of them in time, you can stop the rest from hopping in by mashing space bar.

They should make another queue for killers who want to play againts SWF, and obviously, killers should be rewarded somehow for this.
@RicardiBacardi Hardly any killer will want to play with SWF if that were the case, and any that does will just always use their sweatiest loadouts. Plus it'll make everyone's queue slower.
Why would SWF players want to keep playing the game?
@Sairek SWF came out a month after the game's release and they already said they planned to have it. They aim for 50/50 kill-survive ratios and their data has SWF survival rates averaged in. The game has been balanced for SWF, even if it's been an afterthought for many concepts and at the expense of killers and solo survivors.
But I agree with you. They need to encourage SWF as a baseline because nothing's going to work otherwise.

It's been like this for a long time.
@Eninya According to reddit, only the first survivor can get the WGLF stack from taking a hit, and only the first hit will count. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/bpdb9o/developer_update_may_2019/enrt35j/
Which explains why so many people feel that it's horribly inconsistent, and adds on another layer of why this proposed rendition of MoM will make it absolute #########. (Oh wait, this thread's consensus is that MoM will be amazeballs. My bad!)
Also, @Peanits, is this interaction intentional?
-
As much as I like surprising survivors that like to t-bag and taunt like the old days, I agree. The hatch closing cutting into jump animation defeats the purpose of taking away grabs.
-
It's balanced?
DH has counterplay. Exhaustion perks in general are overused and potentially overpowered, but DH is only the third best out of all of them.
-
The killer animation always wins. Had it happen multiple times, and seen it on stream.
If the survivor has the hatch, it's dangerous for them to taunt.

If they make it require a protection hit then it should only take one protection hit to activate. Otherwise this perk is dead.
I guess now people can't claim that they're too greedy to change OP perks if they're willing to so quickly considering gutting MoM.

He's a killer with a sprint ability. He was a survivor with a knife from the start.
But he's a bloodthirsty survivor in a more balanced and balancable state. Which was the intention of the rework.
If he was meant to be that boring, people would just play Nea.

Hey, If you dont like the changes then dont run the perk. It now has counterplay and It has to be earned.
Deal with it and get good or dont use it.
@tt_ivi_99 For the record, I've used it for a total of five games since I got it.
"Counterplay" "Earned" A lot of words with no meaning. There's no still counterplay. It's simply not a threat anymore. But I see there's no sense in deliberating with you.

Maybe if you'd use Bottany Knowledge and a medkit you'd see that taking 3 hits it's just about 18 seconds of healing, if you are good at looping you can keep the killer running for a lot more time.
The earning aspect is that you'll be able to do things like take 1 hit, unhook a person, take another hit and not go down, so that way you have old BT and we all know how broken BT used to be. + The killer doesnt win until 3 or more survivors are dead so you are not letting the killer win.
As someone who has reached red ranks as survivor without using the perk, I dont see a problem with the changes. People need extra chances to win? Fine, earn them.
@tt_ivi_99 Oh fan-freaking-tastic. A balanced MoM player will spend nearly a full minute, two perk slots, a medkit with addons to have a bullshit BT effect for one hit. On top of flagging down the killer each time he downs someone and running around to hide and heal. Wonderful. MoM = self-inflicted Ruin.
Ridiculous. Clearly you have a warped sense of balance and "earning". MoM will be as much of a handicap as No Mither and as worthless as Saboteur.

It's called investment, anyone with a little knowledge of how the world works understands that. You lose some to gain much more when you need to. You take a hit now so that when you take a hit and you go down you wont go down.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/479810#Comment_479810
You want to talk about NOED? Ok, let's talk about NOED.
What does DS do? It punishes killers for playing efficiently, aka tunneling.
NOED does the exact same, It punishes survivors for playing efficiently, aka genrushing and not giving a ######### about totems.
@tt_ivi_99 Investment? You mean trading three hits for free to potentially endure one hit? You know what investment means right?
"The act of committing money or capital to an endeavor with the expectation of obtaining an additional income or profit" - https://www.investopedia.com/university/beginner/beginner1.asp
And again, where is this earning aspect you are referring to? Because I fail to see how wasting time, risking death, and giving the killer an easy win is indicative of any skill, intelligence, or effort.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/555/WNQ8FYU7CU95.jpg
Never had a single problem with WGLF stacks.
@tt_ivi_99 You simply must not use it. Plenty of regular survivor players can corroborate that the Protection event is restrictive and bugged. I always have it equipped and was not properly rewarded stacks just last night.
And I ask you again since you've been dodging the question: what makes pointless Protection hits to mean earning something to you?
-
@tt_ivi_99 said:

So you are telling me that if you just take a hit when the killer is carring a survivor, that hit wont count as "protection"? You think that's a bugged mechanic? BS.
Do you even play survivor? It's literally a 50-50 to get WGLF stacks for taking a hit while the killer is carrying a survivor. Even less when intercepting a killer swing on an injured survivor because it's so bugged right now. It's been bugged since they changed Protection rules. You have to be literally up the ally survivor's butthole to get a stack.
And you're telling me that pointlessly giving three free hits to the killer is earning something?
-
@tt_ivi_99 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/479751#Comment_479751
Why? Because now you actually have to earn It?
Because it revolves around a bugged mechanic that only SWF players can reasonably take advantage of.
Protection hits just tells solo survivors to give three free hits to the killer which may not even count. Imagine if BBQC was reworked to only give stacks for survivors escaping your grasp. It's a seriously braindead direction.
And what are you calling earning? Playing like an idiot is earning something to you?
-
I think it's OP because it's not skill based and not counter-able by many killers. But changing to Protection just makes it another trash perk that's only useful for cancerous 4-man SWF teams. It'll end up in the bin for the majority of the players just like Up The Ante and Sabotage because apparently those perks are only meant to be used by SWF players to dick around.
Someone else previously had the idea where you'd need to successfully escape a chase twice to activate it, and to account for buggy chase mechanics, they can put it on a 45s cd per "escape". I think that would be more reasonable.

We're still experimenting with different changes at the moment, it's not set in stone just yet, but I'll just throw a scenario out there for discussion.
- Survivor is being carried to a hook.
- Take a hit.
- Styptic.
- Take a hit.
- Take another hit, MoM activates.
You could basically get MoM right away with little to no effort. This could be a game changer at the start of the game, allowing the downed survivor to go free and restart the chase. This was a huge problem with the old DS and a big part of why it was changed.
Ideally it should be pretty hard to activate. The effects of the perk are huge and could completely change the course of a game. Making it too easy to get would be a bit of a problem.
Please don't presume the presence of instaheals in the equation. Your team has already stated that instaheals were subject to change, and extrapolating from the other ultra rare survivor add ons (Odd Bulb and BNP), I highly doubt Syptic Agent or Syringe will be at all relevant in the future.

Anyone is able to run empathy and run in to take a hit when someone is injured or being carried to a hook. Alternatively, you could also take a hit for someone after unhooking them and it will also count as a protection hit. Basically it uses the same conditions as We're Gonna Live Forever's protection hits and that perk works for everyone, not just SWF.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/479138#Comment_479138
There should be a link to the Dev Update at the top of the page.
You guys should also fix protection hits to actually register properly.
Survivors that run WGLF know that the mechanic is pretty bugged.

@Visionmaker This scenario already exists when the killer is using Nurse's Calling.
@NoShinyPony Yep. This is part of why I don't think we need it. Maybe I'm being harsh, but this perk sounds rather uninspired and it's not what we need right now.
There should be perks that are able to better assist underused killers, rather than add to the list of unfun anti-stealth perks that disproportionately benefit overused killers.

@makayla I feel like only Nurse is decent at this map. The only good things are the totem spots inside the houses.
It feels SO bad to be bullied with BL here because you can barely even tell where the survivors are going when they're in the buildings.

@TreemanXD I am considering it. I normally chill out at this rank and don't bother looking at the lobby, but getting duped by this guy again is making my blood boil. I am also considering facecamping him with Bubba the next time I notice his face in my lobby.

Why would you gain stacks for someone else rescuing you?
I'm down with "you heal someone you gain a stack" or to fix the protection score point. But this sounds kinda stupid, sorry.
I'm with you on that one. They need to add healing a teammate to full to the list so that solo survivors without Self-care aren't totally screwed.
I don't really see any sufficient rationale for getting unhooked yourself.
-
Not a fan of more aura reading, and just like BBQC, I see this being too useful for killers that don't need it to begin with:
- Get hooked
- Go out of TR to heal safely after 25 seconds of healing
- Nurse with M&A sees you 26m away
- Back in a chase less than 10 seconds later.
-
This is griefing. Report it.
-
More information for solo player QoL would be great. I'm all for it.
-
Pig and Plague can't see their timers either. I think it's fine.
It's not the most egregious nerf there was.

@Dreamnomad said:
I think they should take a completely different route. I would like to see the bloodpoint gain components removed from both BBQ and WGLF. I would then like to see a new mechanic introduced to the base game. Let's call it "Entity's Favor" for now.
Killers would earn Entity's Favor tokens for each unique survivor they hook with a 25% bonus to all bloodpoints gained per token. (same as BBQ)
Survivor's would earn Entity's Favor tokens for each generator they complete, survivor safe unhook, or pallet stun on killer to a maximum of 4 tokens.
BBQ would just do the aura component after hooking a survivor. WGLF could change to anything they want, but I would recommend something like "Whenever you unhook another survivor both you and the unhooked survivor do not leave blood trails, scratch marks, and move 4% faster for 4/5/6 seconds."
The purpose of all this is 2 fold. One, it would help deal with the rather absurd bloodpoint grind this game has. Two, it would help increase perk diversity.
I've suggested making BBQC and WGLF's BP effects passive to all to increase perk diversity and easy BP since the beginning, but it's a wonder why they haven't implemented something to that effect by now. Instead, they beat around the bush and vaguely promise other ways to relieve BP grinds and even nerfed BBQC.
Perhaps people are right: they over-rely on people to purchase Bubba?
-
For the duration of the perk, the progress of generators can be determined by the intensity of their aura.
That's too much information and cluttery, in my opinion. It could just highlight the highest progress generator.

Huge difference between DCing from an active match and dodging a potential match
Absolutely. But don't forget that one has a punishment (depips, wasted offerings) and the threat of mass bannings, and the other is not punished at all. And again, survivors have done it before using MLGA, so we apparently know how BHVR feels about survivors dodging killers in lobby.
Furthermore, the reason is the same: to dodge certain players.
-
Then you'd have to decide if survivors could swim.
Or load water graphics, hahaha.
-
@ba_tetsuo said:
I'd rather deep wound actually mean something. All his power is right now is tracking. Legion lacks two very important things right now:
Map Pressure
Quickly ending chases
One change I would really like to see is a stacking MS buff per survivor hit with frenzy.
IE:
Frenzy base/tier2/3/4
You get a tier every time you apply deep wound, and it resets when frenzy ends. Would really tie into the whole run fast and stab people fantasy, as well as give legion more incentive/ability to hit more people in frenzy.
100%. Legion should be incentivized to stab multiple survivors. Increasing MS per survivor hit would bring back a little bit of his old fun-factor and discourage playstyles other than using his power to play catch up and tunnel.
-
That's not little at all, lmao.

They do dodge alot lmao also known as disconnecting for getting downed or even after hearing or seeing the killer.
@aGoodOldRub Yes, and we know that's not something we should encourage, unless you want to argue otherwise.
So if you know that survivors dodging versus certain killers/addons/offerings is wrong, why would you think dodging versus (what you think is) a 4-stack be right? In the same vein, why should we fault survivors for dodging certain killers/addons/offerings when you have killers willingly dodging too?
I thought BHVR didn't like MLGA because survivors blacklisted certain killer players. Why should killer players refuse to play with certain survivor players then?
Don't tell me you don't see how hypocritical this is.
-
You have such a pretty Nurse.
-
Well I was stuck at Rank 7 on both killer and survivor and in my opinion, I fully deserved it.
I think purple ranks are exactly where veteran players should be. Red should be perfect and top of the rung players, and if you're getting screwed by NOED, then I don't think you fit the bill.
And why are you constantly getting caught? There are three other survivors. Let them get tunneled instead.
