Usually because killers aren't going there to win. When was the last time you saw a killer bring an offering that wasn't jumpscare myers/ghostface on lerys/hawkins? There are a LOT of survivor sided maps that can make winning a much easier affair. (Haddonfence, ocasionally ormond, b a d h a m) so its seen as super sweaty and rude to pop an offering, since it shows you're trying way too hard to win. There are some pretty respectable offerings though, burning a macmillans or azarovs usually grantees fun for all.
Saw a Clown today bring a RCP map offering. Doesn't seem like a great map for him.

Every time i see a post like "I think X killer would work" or "I think next killer is X" no one has fun with it. Why cant we have some discussion without people arguing with each other. Some dude wants the Teletubbies as a killer let him make ideas and have fun with it. Don't just call him stupid or insult him for it.
That baby in the sun is creepier than any chapter suggestion I've seen in a while.
-
I've honestly never really thought about it. I sometimes wonder why a certain map, but I don't care who brings it.
-
Some players will DC for anything, let's be honest. I'm so tired of being ######### by other survivors because they DC the first time they get downed, the first time they get hooked, or the first time the killer farts near them.
-
Why Springtrap in specific, anyway? I've mentioned before I'm not really a fan of the series, but I have played the first game and watched Let's Plays of it. It's been a while, but if we have to have a FNAF chapter, I'd think maybe Foxie would work better since they SPRINT at you. I know they don't move if you're watching them, but them chasing you seems to make more sense than the other ones.

Am I the only one that thinks posts like this are cringe as well? 🤦♂️
I think using "cringe" like this is "cringe", but I'm old.
-
If they did put him in the game, I'm wondering how they would do his design so he didn't look silly. What I mean by that is I'm not sure if the art style would transfer over well.
-
If it is, I'd actually like to see his weapon be the fence post from part 6, just because we haven't had a spear-like weapon yet (I don't count the Deathslinger's gun).

That was one reason why the shroud addons that causes survivors to spawn with teammates is something I've always just seen as redundant since most of the time I spawn with a teammate nearby anyway. Theres typically like 3 different spots survivors can spawn at on any given, which generally causes at least 2 survivors to spawn together (as in within 12 meters, not necessarily side by side). Try looking at some youtube videos from the killer's perspective when they use Lethal Pursuer and you'll notice this pattern.
Seems like it’d be better for balance to have any spot on the map a reasonable spawn rather than ramming all of the survivors to each other’s asses. I’m not disagreeing with you, I’m just saying it seems like poor foresight on the developer’s part.
-
I enjoy playing, but there’s still a lot of bullshit BHVR needs to fix. I’ll stop bitching about errors when they stop happening.

@Soulpaw isnt saying Lethal pursuer is doing anything with spawns, just that it's highlighting them by showing the killer where everyone spawned. No perks affect spawns. I've noticed that people have a tendency of spawning together for AWHILE now since bond is a normal perk I equip whenever I play survivor and lets me see the auras of my teammates around me.
Sidenote... it could be worse. I've seen videos of people spawning inside shack with the killer...RIP
That would be one of the few times where I wouldn’t blame people for DCing.
I didn’t think that was what they were saying. I was clarifying that I’ve noticed it a lot lately and it’s not perks showing me that they’re near. It’s turning my camera 360 and seeing everyone in the same shack as me like we’re having a meeting. (Up to 5 times today now for all 4 of us in the same spot. I’m keeping count today just to see how often it happens).

like i said, its always been like this. we've been noticing this more often because of lethal pursuer or you caught them yourself. Spawns in this game are never set in stone, anyone can spawn in anyway.
I’m a survivor main and have only been playing survivor today. It’s happened four times today without perks. The honest reason I’ve noticed is because it WAS, at least, unusual to see your whole team on top of you.

How would he work. Spring trap is just a man in a broken suit. He has no ability besides M1ing. He doesnt really have anything that I could think of besides using cameras that are set on gens
I’m not at all interested in a FNAF chapter, but my suggestion was to have it revolve around them popping out of lockers.

I don’t know, I had two games in a row today where all four survivors spawned right next to each other, and no one used the “spawn near another survivor” offering. I think it might be borked.
-
As a survivor: tech issues, if the other 3 survivors are carrying flashlights (usually means a SFW that want to be dicks and I get caught in the crossfire). If another survivor’s username has “troll” or “meme” or something like that in the username, I’ll consider dodging. Got into a lobby once with a player whose username was indicating they made trolling videos for YouTube. Sure enough, they worked with killer the entire match. Once bitten twice shy.

What's ridiculous is how often you get hit mid animation and go down, exhausted on the ground, and killers constantly complain about a perk that works at best half the time. Imagine if it actually worked. Imagine if BBQ only worked half the time. Can't you just be happy they destroyed DS? Or do you not think survivors should have perks at all?
This JUST happened to me. Activated to DH out of the door and out of swing range. Downed inside of door. I don’t exactly feel I’m losing much by rarely running it.
-
There would be no way to implement it, and even if they could, they never would.

I found out about Last Year after I started playing DBD, though, and it looks fun.

Hmm
The Vessel
Curtain call
- The Vessel starts the Trial with 4 other inactive Vessels that reside in Lockers scattered around the Trial.
- While near a Locker that is not in The Basement, The Vessel has the prompt to use Curtain Call.
- When Curtain Call is used, The Vessel enters the Locker.
- While inside a Locker, The Vessel can highlight a Locker containing another Vessel.
- While inside a Locker, the prompt for Curtain Call remains.
- While inside a Locker, using Curtain Call with a Locker highlighted will shift control of The Vessel to the selected Vessel.
- While inside a Locker, using Curtain Call again without a Locker Highlighted will cause The Vessel to exit the current Locker.
- Swapping Vessels suppresses Curtain Call's Locker selection for 10s.
- Survivors' Enter Locker prompt is replaced with Block Locker for Lockers that contain a Vessel.
- Entering a Vessel that has had the Locker Blocked, takes a 6s Action to break free from the Locker.
I like it!

Help him. He’ll eat any other bugs that come inside.

In-game voice chat would also kill it for me, even if I didn’t have to participate. Like I said before, if I wanted to hear 12-year-olds yell slurs at me, I could play pretty much any other online PVP game.
-
Press 6 for "get out of that locker and come unhook me, the killer is nowhere near us".

Yea that’s what the common thought is I’m pretty sure.
But honestly what you said is something I’m much more interested in, a killer perk/power that could utilize lockers would be amazing.
It would definitely bring some tension if you were never sure whether or not the locker you were about to open was about to have a killer jump out.
-
I'm not a big fan of FNAF (not a fan of jumpscares: they're startling at best and annoying at worst), but mechanically I'm not sure how this would work. I'm sure Springtrap could chase you, but he'd have to primarily be an ambush killer, I'd imagine. It'd be difficult to do that without making him too much like the Pig or Ghostface. Maybe if they gave him a perk where he could pop out of lockers?
-
Free stuff was nice. Crown hunting was fun. Enjoyed the daily shrine perk rotation. But there were SO many errors and crashes.
-
I think keeping and being unable to use a second item if you escape might be okay, but being able to bring in or find two and use them would be a bit unbalanced.
-
Cool idea, but since a lot of that game's design is in the scaling vs the protagonist, I don't think it would work.
-
To be honest, survivor spawn is bizarre. I've seen all four spawn in the same damn area even without the offering.
-
I don't know what all perks are considered meta, but excluding the ones I THINK are:
Visionary + Detective's Hunch + Inner Strength + Flashbang (since I'm already in the locker)
-
Disagree. Knowing where the hatch is can help the last survivor escape if the killer has been a boring slugging ######### the whole match. (Before you jump in with 'it's a legitimate strategy', yes, yes, but it's still boring to crawl around the map and bleed out.)
-
Everyone and their dog runs Ruin anyway.
-
I blew all of mine during the double BP event. If I managed to miss one, I'll hold onto them until the next extra BP event.
-
The technical issues are pushing me towards it already Besides the other obvious (just not having fun anymore): requiring a subscription (they can eat my salty butt if they think I'll ever pay more than I already have to play this game), ######### with bloodpoint gains (as in lowering it. I've already had errors that have screwed me out of it), the autoban system ending up being a problem (just hire people to read the reports! I'll send you my resume right now!), and anything else I can't currently come up with that would make me react with a hard "are you SHITTING me?!".
-
Agreed. It's SO loud. I keep my sound low because it's generally a loud game, and that still blows my eardrums out.

Exactly. I'm stealthy because I'm a hopeless case for looping.

Ok, um it's text, but it's already typed out and you can use it from a quick chat wheel to get across what you are doing or gonna do. It does not involve using your voice, as I said it is text.
Dose that help?
So like a couple of already-made phrases, like "come over here and heal me" or "don't get me goddammit I'm being camped"? That would be okay.
-
I still run it because of Franklins and just not being able to depend on other survivors to heal me.
-
But, I'm not sure how you would implement it since their singing was basically mind control.
-
For clarification: do you mean a siren, like the Greek monster that lured sailors to their deaths, or Siren like the video game?
-
@AshInTheTallGrass said:

I bet those people thought you were trying to say, "come get me." Especially when a killer is face camping it can be a two man job, so I wouldn't be surprised if it never occurred to them that you weren't asking for help, just warning them.
I try to only do it if they're already approaching and the killer is coming back/coming up behind them, but I can see that.
-
The only time I tunnel on purpose is if a survivor is being just the biggest ######### in the world. Usually when I play killer I mess around and I don’t take it seriously, so you really have to be a dick to get me the tunnel you.

@Gunkpump said:
Every single match I play killer the survivors that make it to the exit gate open it and then just stand there doing nothing for the duration of the endgame collapse. They know it is toxic behavior and reporting them for taking the game hostage accomplishes nothing. Survivors just stand there and wait for the killer to come to them so they can teabag and then escape. It is toxicity pure and simple.
Proposed Solution: Endgame collapse should scale up in speed for each survivor dead/escaped/standing in the exit gate area. This is the least punishing solution I can imagine. Any other suggestions are more than welcome.
If that’s what they’re doing, yeah, that’s just being ######### and toxic. I’ve always maintained that if you’re being a ######### and just dancing and teabagging in the exit gate, you deserve to get hugged. But, a lot of survivors like me stand in the exit gate to wait for their teammates and see if they need help before escape.
-
If a survivor is doing it constantly, I assume they’re just bored.
I do it as a “hey, the killer is actually right here, don’t grab me” signal, but I notice most survivors don’t adhere to that.
-
This happens to me all the time. I mean to heal a survivor and I get sucked into the saboteur animation.

”Hiding” is a good tactic. Also, if you can, try fixing a generator in the killer’s line of sight. They may decide to go for you to stop you.
