I watched my rank 20 killer buddy load a match with a killer he used for the very first time and got matched up with two reds and two purples.
On top of that, you have SWFs padding matchmaking by having a low rank survivor on their otherwise high rank team.
-
What are your suggestions for Freddy, then?

I'll just mention it again - devs need to take a look at Killer DC rates. Killers that aren't fun to play against, to the point where people DC out of the game, should be looked at to figure out how to correct the situation.
Survivors DC on any killer

The mori nerf is fine. What needs to be done is for it to be removed from the blood web and made base-kit.
I just hope the devs are fair and equally nerf keys, allowing only the key holder to escape, with a long animation to unlock the hatch. They also need to make it to where the hatch only spawns once all gens are complete or only one survivor remains.
Fat chance of them changing keys

Kill a survivor that's AFK? That's their problem

Farming is holding the game hostage for 10 minutes, while there is a 5 minute dc penalty on the first 2 offenses. Should I dc? No, the time increases. Do I dc against farmers, hell yeah, because waiting 5 minutes in a lobby is more fun than being stuck in a ######### boring ######### game for 10-15 minutes.
As I said, dc penalty should get removed against farmers. Everyone who wants to farm can stay, normal players can leave.
Edit: I don't encourage anyone to dc, it's your own decision. Dcing is bad. :)
Farming is not holding the game hostage, good grief. Nothing is holding you in the game and it can progress. Quit your belly aching.

But people destroying other peoples fun is bad and should either get punished OR the people whose fun is getting destroyed SHOULDN'T be punished.
Normal players are punished by having to wait the 10-15 minutes of babies farming in their lobby. I usually go afk or dc against them, it's probably the easiest way.
Edit: I don't encourage anyone to dc, it's your own decision.
"Destroying other peoples fun is bad" So why are you destroying other people's fun?

most killers i dont run regression, bc i find it boring. still manage to be red rank... crazy.
Good for you

Agreed, the gens still go too fast. Turn your back for a second, POP. Get in a short chase, POP. Down the survivor, POP. It's infuriating.
The MMR is all kinds of jacked up; too many survivors, not enough killers. Gee, I wonder why....
-
Come on, Wraith, you're making us killers look bad
-
I can't tell you how many times I've made a square hit on a survivor and it didn't register. How many times they'd be IN the window and I would just hit the wall. How many times I've hit, then they dead hard, and it wouldn't register. How many times I've hit a survivor before a pallet drops and I get stunned with no hit. Earlier with Nurse I hit a rock behind a survivor when the survivor was in the way. It's nuts.

Keep on nerfing killers... Bubba got an upgrade, but dollars to donuts he'll get nerfed, too.

It's a bug that hinders killer so they won't touch it until there's a killer shortage. I'm still waiting for them to fix the bugs introduced to Nurse since her rework.
If I had a nickel for every time a hit didn't connect right in the back of their head, I'd have $400

I play both sides but I wish there were more killers. The queue times for survivors is rough, but that's with crossplay on. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to play killer on console
I don't blame anyone for not wanting to play killer at all, though I wish more would; it's ######### hard. I've given up on any Survivor Handbook for Killer bullshit, they don't deserve it.
-
Padding is having a SWF of three reds/purples and another at, say, rank 16. All so they can get lower (likely newer) killers to bully
-
Survivors, I promise you can leave without the killer watching you
-
I'm tired of seeing padded MMR. Bringing in a new player is one thing, but I frequently come across padded teams and it's miserable for new killers. Beyond that, the MMR is jacked up, I saw my buddy at rank 20 with a killer played for the very first time matched with two reds and two purples. What the hell is that?!
-
A killer killing isn't being a killer?
-
She's boring to play and miserable to play against

I was wondering that too. I've seeing some survivors who consistently spawned scratch marks with patches missing in between. And I mean, I saw that as I had eyes on them running. So, I know they didn't try to urban evade or some other shenanigans.
I've seen the exact same, scratch marks disappearing just feet away while watching them run.

In some tight areas like that it can be a little confusing, but you should be looking ahead for the continued trail/listening to footsteps and breathing to help keep track.
Edit: something else I'd like to say is when it comes to perks, I feel using a slot or two to cover your personal weaknesses is a good idea. If you really struggle, you should use Predator more for the narrowed scratchmarks. Pretty much a straight line to them.
I'd love to look ahead, but they're so damn hard to see in this new grass, if you see them at all.
-
Screw the bones, gotta rush gens ASAP
Right? .....right? Evidently, yes.
-
He's pretty much at the same level as Victor. I don't know what they were thinking putting it so low in the first place.
-
Nurse player here:
Can confirm her cooldown is trash and needs to be reduced slightly. Without cooldown addons, she's miserable. I don't care what anyone says, BHVR is absolutely survivor-sided with a little bit of killer work to appeal to veteran killers. Being a new killer, especially with an all-but useless tutorial, being thrown right into the fire, the MMR having yellow killers up against red survivors, has got to be ridiculously discouraging. Hell, I've been playing more than a year and I still get discouraged to play, especially Nurse without cooldown addons. They could do with reducing her natural cooldown by 0.5 seconds at least.
-
Thank god for the toolbox nerf back when, they were far too strong.
-
@Ivaldi said:
Gen Rush doesn't exist? Go up against a coordinated SWF that never double up on gens and are even semi decent at looping. I'm a Rank 1 Survivor and Killer and when I go up against these groups, I get steam rolled without Gen Slowing perks. 9/10 times the only reason you beat these groups is because of a mistake on their end. (Aka they get too cocky)
Agreed, plenty of matches swing in the killer's favor only because of survivor mistakes. That just ain't right.
-
OP:
Your non-validated hit with Freddy while the survivor was in the window; I cannot tell you how many times that has happened to me. It gets infuriating when it constantly happens. Or how often I'll smack a survivor directly in the back of the head and it won't register (no Dead Hard).

If you nerf this i see no reason to nerf barbecue chili
BBQ requires a specific action to activate whereas OoO is always on. They're not the same.
Truth be told, BBQ is mostly ran for blood points. I'm willing to bet most killers don't run it for the auras.

Ive had some games recently where it’s a PC 4 man SWF, all high red ranks except one obvious new smurf account rank 17 - 20.
Seems to be obvious that they are doing it to get a lower ranked killer, anyone else experience this?
Is it against terms of service or just bad sportsmanship / poor etiquette?
Every third match is exactly this anymore. It's getting ridiculous and it has to be even more painful for newer killers.
-
I have yet to get toxic messages or threats from a killer. Just saying.
-
No no, please, stay under that hook, it makes for easy pressure. Thanks for helping me out, Nea.
-
I'll 4,392nd the motion for dual dailies and to bump up the rewards by no less than 5,000 blood points each.
I love the idea of also having a weekly challenge that would earn iridescent shards. Say 500?

But more ppl play survivors. We don't want to play killers. I am survivor main. I only play killer BECAUSE of these dailies.
That's the purpose of dual dailies, to encourage a player to play both sides.

If you havent moved from rank 10 then youre not depipping consistently. This meandms youre holding your own. This is a good thing friend, not a bad thing. Maybe youre not getting a lot of W's but youre getting a lot of experience and doing well enough not to derank. Keep at it, its not like its going to get harder
I, too, needed to hear that.

That one moment... Heartbound indeed
-
Thank you. There was a game earlier with a Doctor facing a VR_...somename that I hoped I gave some good screenshots. It was on a Haddonfield.
-
In a horror game that ruled out decapitations so 6-yr olds could play, birthday confirmation on each visit to their website is ridiculous and utterly annoying. It does nothing. I throw in numbers and it prevents nothing.
I suspect one of four things will happen:
1) I keep at it until it goes away
2) I keep at it and the devs will keep it out of spite
3) The community is going to press you to stop
4) Devs won't stop out of spite
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
While I would be happy if it would go away, it is there for legal reasons. A confirmation like that is what the Devs (or owners of a website in general) can do to assure that they have done everything possible to make sure that the audience who looks at this site is old enough to do so.
Of course everyone can just enter whatever they like, but that is not the business of the website-owner.
No, it is not "everything possible" and is "everything unnecessary" for a horror game that doesn't decapitate anything so 6-yr olds can play. Just get rid of it, the birthday "confirmation"

Killer: Damned if you do, damned if you don't do

It stops no one and is frankly an unnecessary and off-putting inconvenience

Good stats.
Had hoped to see Haddonfield Ormond results.
Was also interested in seeing how killers faired on Midwich, tho it’s a rare map to get sent to anyway, so it probz doesn’t matter, really.
Thanks for the effort, all around. We’ll see what happens.
God, holding W down the hallways is much more effective without BL
-
They just need to remove OoO altogether

@FFirebrandd said:
I disagree.
I've been playing quite a bit of killer today. With one exception, the only times I've really wished Bloodlust wasn't off was when, after a pallet drop or hit, the Survivor would just start holding W and beeline their way across the map. This was in spite of playing quite a few matches as killers that one might expect would miss Bloodlust quite a bit. Legion, Pig, Demo, and Trapper specifically. Last I checked, a survivor just holding W across the map is not particularly skillful but as those 4 killers... I don't exactly have any way to counter that either. Bloodlust was never a perfect solution to that problem but it was capable of helping.
The one exception I mentioned earlier was a game I had as Trapper where... I don't know how they did it but almost none of my traps stayed active for more than like... 15 seconds. I didn't see an OoO gamer or anything... but I was basically completely unable to get anything out of my power, basically leaving me as a basic M1 killer. The fact that this can happen to Trapper and will also be possible to do against The Twins for 45s when they come out makes me think that Tier 1 Bloodlust should still exist.
I will say though that Deathslinger and Blight do not miss Bloodlust. They're powers give them enough range/mobility that they don't need it.
I can't stand OoO. It should be deleted from the game.
-
Oh no, they're looking at how to nerf killers again this time, not survivors.
-
Survivors have ruined the game for me. Survivors got it easy and they throw it in your face.
-
Have DS deactivate when outside a certain range, say 48m, and deactivate when jumping in a locker.
That should be "nerfed slightly," but whatever.
-
Run speed. Increase all killer base speeds by 0.4%
-
I was sorely disappointed and was yet another turnoff from the game.
