Dowsey is low key one of the best killer mains streaming. He doesn’t really do a good job of attention grabbing with his skills, but he’s very consistent. He also recently switched to posting 100% of his content to YouTube now. Brave leap dropping Twitch like that.
If you want a criticism of his playstyle, he refuses to play killers he does not like, and does not do build requests. So he’s not challenging himself the way Tru3 and Otz do. Still he’s incredibly consistent at killer.
Another criticism is he gets impatient with the chat often enough to notice, resulting in negative vibes. Off putting, and he doesn’t bring the energy back up when he falls into one of these moods.
Still plays very effectively and walks the viewers through his thought processes really well.
It's really entertaining when DOWSEY gets super tilted at both his chat and high MMR at the same time. His stream is fun to watch when that's going on
-
I know at least one killer main streamer that admitted to trying to tank his MMR offstream. He said it took so long and he got back to high MMR so fast that it wasn't worth it. Now he's a survivor main that plays killer for tips and subs only. He's not huge but averages between 200 - 300 viewers
-
You almost had the right lingo! You're supposed to say the hatch change has made the game unfun for survivors, it's boring, and there's no counterplay to the 3-gen now
-
I think a lot of killer streamers are tanking their MMR offstream
-
I was admittedly hardcore addicted to this game, playing four hours a day after work and twice that on weekends, 90% on killer. I have the platinum on PS and the only trophy I'm missing is skilled Huntress. Spent hundreds on cosmetics. MMR and boons have destroyed this game for me. I'm down to one or two matches a day for dailies and tome progress. I'm so close to finally being done with it. I'm hoping for a huge balance overhaul but I know that's never gonna happen. If I was that addicted and I'm pulling myself away, there's definitely a problem
-
Bubba cause I know it's gonna be hilarious

BoOn ToTeMs ArE A GoOd ThInG FoR KiLlErS It MeAnS ThEyRE NoT On A GeN

Boon totems and MMR have wrecked this game for killers. The game was in the best state fun wise for killers prior to MMR being forced on us
-
I just hard camp and tunnel now lol. ######### these boon totems
-
I just hard camp and tunnel Mikaela's and watch 'em DC and laugh
-
BHVR needs to put on a BubbaFest weekend event. All Bubbas earn 10x bloodpoints
-
My experience playing at high MMR (highly efficient survivors, everyone running full meta with 1 - 2 boons) is that I'll get 3 - 4 hooks max before the gens are done and maybe one kill if I'm fortunate. I've started just hard tunneling out the first guy I've downed. I end up with the same amount of hooks before the gens are done but I can almost guarantee 2 kills this way and sometimes even a 4k depending on how hard they throw themselves at me to save their buddy.
It's basically the best outcome for me. 2k - 4k, same amount of chases, get BMed as opposed to playing fair and bouncing around from survivor to survivor which produces 0k - 1k, same amount of hooks/chases, and get BMed

DBD's maps and the general pace of the game are not balanced around Killers being able to take every chase to wherever the Survivor wants to go. If god setups didn't exist and maps weren't so big you had to play for a 3 gen a lot of the time, "hit and run" playstyles wouldn't be necessary because you'd be able to commit to chases. That's not the world we live in right now.
3-gen strategies don't even work anymore with boons. They can just take a hit and then go heal in 6 seconds or faster and win the war of attrition. The best way to get 2 kills at high MMR now is just to hard tunnel someone out and then kill someone in the EGC. You cannot get more than 1 kill trying to play fair with the way the game is now at high MMR
-
Sprint Burst, Lithe, Balanced, and Dead Hard should all require a safe unhook in order to activate them for use. That would take away their use in the first chase which would allow the killer to build pressure earlier and slow the game down. Iron Will just needs to do something else entirely because the devs clearly don't know how to program it properly. Survivors using it don't breathe, you can't hear footsteps cause of the blaring chase music, and I'm pretty sure it's causing all of the sound bugs in the game like the no noise on the ground. It's insanely unfun to go against and it destroys Spirit. Nerf that ######### into the ground. It's amazing how many survivors are hard carried by DH, IW & comms

Yeah, I don't bother showing up to gates because the majority of the time, the survivor just wants me to lunge after them and hit the wall as they leave. I don't really trust survivors that want me to hit them out the gates unless we've been friendly before that point.
Heh. Yesterday I had a game where I earned about 2.5k extra bloodpoints kicking pumpkins, breaking walls, and vomming on random objects because this one clicky-click really wanted me to witness him jump through the hatch. Took him about four minutes and me walking past the room he was in before he finally gave up and left.
He didn't get any extra points either, just wasted his own time. That's a net win for you
-
Wow, I'm not being toxic, I'm just trying to give the killer extra points!!! ::dead hards out the gate::
-
I'm not spending actual cash on her because you know they're going to nerf the hell out of her so she's more fun for survivors to bully
-
It's going to be a classic bait and switch. They'll release her very strong for a nice cash infusion then hard nerf her to trash tier. Book it. I will not spend money on a new killer after what they did to Twins and Deathslinger
-
More killer nerfs and a new boon totem without any changes to how they function. I didn't expect anything less lmao. They won't rest until the killer has no way to win because that's the most fun for survivors
-
I'm a 3,000 hour console killer main and I've had one survivor give me a free kill when I had a terrible match
-
What kind of logic is that? Otz does fine with Trapper, doesn't mean he's a good killer. Spirit relies entirely on sound for tracking while in phase and Iron Will users emit ZERO sound and footsteps are stupid hard to hear. She is not good
-
My prediction for a new boon perk, gen speed increased by 20% while within the range of the boon totem!
-
Spirit sucks, Iron Will completely obliterates her and over 90% of my lobbies have 3 to 4 iron will users
-
@BrokenSouI said:
Of course they don't. They want to steam roll killers. While clicky clicky tbag 4 out at the exit gates for 2 minutes. Because somehow wasting everyones time doing that is ok and not boring. But go ahead and camp a hook for those 2 minutes, and see how angry they get
Hahaha, this is an excellent point. You're right, it's boring and you don't get to play the game sitting on a hook for 2 minutes until dead, but sitting in the exit gates during the entire 4 minute EGC in the hopes you get to give the killer the finger is somehow not boring and playing the game
-
Yeah, it's either that or Coldwind. Every. Time.
-
They only make changes when something is "boring" and "frustrating" for the survivor player to play against, but they couldn't care less how aggravating something is for the killer to play against, see SWF, busted maps, 8,000 second chance perks, Dead Hard, etc. etc. etc.
-
But yeah, I get the humor in what the OP is saying about how survivors that are advocating nerfs for killers always say "the good ones will be fine, it'll just weed out the bad ones!" They said that about how all the great Deathslinger players were gonna be just fine after he was hacked to pieces, but you never see the guy anymore, lol
-
Well, good killers would be at high MMR playing against high MMR survivors. High MMR survivor lobbies consist of 3+ Iron Wills over 90% of the time. Iron Will completely destroys Spirit. There's no point to playing her if you want results.
-
I play him on console a lot, and I actually think he's a lot of fun to play as. He's been my main lately along with Freddy. He's not very good, probably one of the worst on console, but he's pretty fun and he has cool cosmetics and mannerisms
-
I had a match the other day where I went to kick a pumpkin and a Feng blocked me in. She kept me there until ol' Leatherface came by and chainsawed me down. Then there was a Zarina that was hooked across the map. I ran all the way across the map to unhook her and she Kobe'd in my face, denying me of points. I just sandbagged her for the rest of the match. I can't stand when people intentionally try to deprive me of points like that.

You can buy the claudette mask??
I think he means the Pretty Woman face for Bubba
-
I've started hard tunneling and proxy camping once a boon or two goes up. You cannot drop chase anymore when it's in play, so your best bet is to find the nearest injured survivor and stay on them until they're dead. You aren't likely to win playing the survivor's game of chasing them to their boon location and constantly trying to snuff it out. The amount of time the survivor "wastes" on it is highly overrated, it's practically nothing compared to losing distance and going way out of your way to try to find it, especially if it's away from any gens.
-
Just don't even bother going to the exit gates when it's obvious you won't be able to get any more kills. Just run around the map looking for pumpkins to kick, the hatch to close, and any breakable walls or pallets to destroy for points. Let the survivors sit at the exit gate for the entire 4 minute EGC where they're getting zero points and wasting their time
-
I use this mask all the time because it looks damn good with pretty woman suit
-
Boon totems are fun for the survivors though
-

Hate them. Been having 2-4 people using them in every match making my matches almost impossible. So i became the Antiboon survivor. I will help the killer any way i can by destroying those totems before they can be booned.
As a killer im just expecting to not have any kills anymore shrug . I play killers like Ghostyface, Pig so speed isnt my friend.
I've actually been doing this too. I'm busting every totem I see even when the Mikaela characters are gesturing wildly to get me to let them bless it
-
Iron Will absolutely destroys her and high MMR lobbies are guaranteed 3+ IWs. She's fine
-
They're absolutely ridiculous. People are way overrating this time commitment to put them up. It's absolutely nothing. The survivors have all day to get their objectives done. You hit a survivor on a gen, they run to House of Pain or whatever other stupidly strong building, heal instantly and get right back on the gen if you leave them. They get away if you go bust the totem. It's actually stupid
-
It's still counting the challenges, but I think it's double counting. I got 2 safe unhooks with this problem but it credited 4
-
Imagine having the time to be an 8,000 hour Nurse main and also make 2,100 posts pretending to be an entitled survivor main. This gimmick stopped being funny 2,000 posts ago. The problem is the devs probably read this guy's posts and go "wow, this is some incredibly useful insight into the survivor experience, we could do something with this!" and the game ends up in the state it's in now with ultra fast unlimited boon heals, 3 gens done at 1 hook, and maps the size of Texas with 30+ pallets
-
I think Corrupt is extremely overrated. At high MMR, even if I get in a chase with a survivor quickly, they'll still pop two gens when I get him down even when Corrupt is active. It's pointless to run. I'd rather run something that I can use the whole match.
-
Basement Bubba is the most kill efficient build you can run right now. Barring that, just play survivor. It's so much more chill and relaxed. You can just mess around the entire game kicking pumpkins and farming protection hits then running to your circle of healing to get back to 100% lickety split. There are like 30 pallets on every map, so it's no big deal.
-
This game's design decisions make perfect sense when you realize every mechanic in this game is made to ######### the killer as hard as possible
-
A team only needs one boon perk in their build, that leaves 15 spots for the usual meta perks. The best counters to the way survivor gameplay is currently are Basement Bubba and just playing survivor yourself. It's nice having the developers hold your hand and walk you out of the exit gates.
-
Take this to Reddit, no one cares
-
I wouldn't expect them to make any changes in this area. This is the same team that said that they wanted teabagging to remain satisfying for the survivor player when they were making the new animations.
-
It's hilarious when people come into threads like this and unironically suggest running stuff like Bloodhound to counter it like that doesn't immediately lose the game off the bat
-
I just switched to survivor, it's so much more relaxing and easier to win. I can still escape because the devs are holding my hand and pulling me out the exit gates even though I spent the whole match kicking pumpkins and farming protection hits
-
I recommend just playing survivor. It's way more relaxed, it's easier, and queue times are much faster.
