  • I think hag is probably one of the most annoying killers to go against. She can camp from across the map and make every unhook a trade. If you run you trigger the trap and have to trade. If you crouch away you normally don't have enough time to make enough distance somewhere safe. She basically leaves everybody around the hook sitting ducks. As long as she has a trap somewhere she can be there the same time u are no matter the circumstance. That's my main issue with her.

She can also be frustrating when you have to loop somewhere that's trapped. You can't get rid of it without a flashlight or triggering the trap. Triggering it turns into a guessing game of if she's going to teleport or not. Which really doesn't have a counter other than guessing if they're going to teleport or not. I understand that it's her whole strength to shut down loops. But it doesn't feel good to play against.

  • Honestly its sort of an unspoken law. Whenever u see a bubba in the match u just have to prepare for them to play like a complete scumbag.

  • It would really be down to execution (lol).

A fitting killer would be hard to make. Junko would probably be the best pick for a character. I would love for a mastermind type killer who sets up elaborate traps to kill survivors when they least expect it. Could be a killer who can mori multiple survivors/execute them in different ways if they aren't careful. One that requires manipulating survivors into digging their own graves. Realistically though we would probably just get a guy who sets up snares and hits people.

The school from DR1 would be such a badass and unique map. I love how abrasive and loud danganronpa's style is. And the soundtrack would be like nothing else in the game. Danganronpa's style would be very welcome to dbd's dark and bland world imo.

A survivor would be hard to pick since most of them are in their mid teens. I'd definitely want Kirigiri but that probably wouldn't be possible.

  • sometimes i wish i did something better with my time than argue with randos on here about dbd politics. but then i remember i have nothing i want to accomplish so its okay! :)

  • Every killer with 4 slowdowns is ready to go off on everyone for any little thing.

  • This makes Artist even less interesting to play against somehow lol

  • Kinda goes to show how nasty Alchemist ring is. But still pretty impressive.

  • Because the validations were made so that killers don't get cheap hits because of latency. I don't know if u were there for it but it was pretty common to die after dropping a pallet because someone had bad connection. The new hit validation isn't perfect but it is necessary. The feedback can be confusing and annoying, but also, you didn't actually hit that survivor. What you see on your screen isn't what they see. Hit validation prevents u from getting hits that u didn't actually get. It uses a net code to determine if a hit connects or not. If the net code decides that the conditions don't meet for you to get a hit, then you don't get it. It's simple.

I know killers have a hate boner for survivor, but they have to enjoy the game too. And before someone says it, killers have a lot of broken stuff too, whether u want to admit it or not. I'm only putting this here because I know someone will say something about how survivor fun shouldn't be thought of because booli squads or whatever.

  • If you cant win without playing scummy then just play scummy. It's easier to do that than get better anyways.

  • She's just extremely dull. I know the "its boring" point is a meme at this point. But her power offers very little interaction or unique scenarios. She zones survivors and can occasionally snipe gens for information. That's all Artist offers as a killer. For survivors the snipe is just a cross map mend bar and her chase is just hold w until she catches up because she shuts down almost every generic loop.

  • In terms of usefulness, spiked boots. In terms of being interesting/fun, lopro chains.

  • It'd definitely be more balanced but a lot less fun. Perks are suppose to be interactive and offer benefits. My only real gripe with perks, aside form balance, is many of them aren't really that great of interaction for the killer side. Many of the perks that allow killers to interact are ones that leave them getting stunned or revolve around really mundane tasks for the killer (spirit fury, pop, etc).

  • Thrilling tremors is a really good alternative to BBQ, but it has no bp stacks so that makes me cry.

  • I'd say huntress, but this is in a fantasy scenario where her hatchet hitboxes are actually consistent.

Only thing he's good for is mobility . He's punished to hard for chainsaw misses. He has no add-ons that offer any value other then steering.

He's good in open maps. That's it. No add on plays. To situational and lame. The cooldown isn't a big deal. It's his add-ons that killed him. He basically doesn't have any.

Agree honestly. Most of his add-ons are hinderances or too situational to be useful or fun. Lopro chains are pretty cool at least.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/302111/i-dont-think-billys-nerf-is-nearly-as-bad-as-the-community-says

Sometimes a nerf does more damage than what is reflected numerically.

Billy is still viable, but like Slinger his nerf made him a lot more clunky to play.

I don't see how he is any clunkier than before. Comparing him to old vs new he feels the exact same to me.

  • I don't think it would change much really. Most experienced killers know to keep a mental note on whos been hooked and how many times. So with this in mind, it doesn't make anything better or worse. It would make it slightly more convenient to tunnel. But it wouldn't be the sole reason for it either. And for any other aspect of the game it'd probably just be nice to have a reminder in case you forget.

  • It's too bright for my tastes. It feels weirdly out of place in DBD.

  • For the sabo, do a sweep of the area or slug. You could also use that one offering that closes the hook distance if you have it. Sabo sucks in the fact that you put yourself at more risk doing it rather than a flashlight save which doesn't require as much set-up. You also have to be close enough to pull it off. If they're injured they probably won't go for the sabo. If they do then drop the survivor as they run towards the hook and now they're screwed. If they hump some random corner of the map then leaving them there actually hurts the team more because they have to go really far out of the way to get that person up.

The locker thing. I personally don't see survivors use it often. BUT insta-down killers or just lightborn fix that for the most part. You can try downing survivors before they reach the locker or chasing away the savior. With double lockers they wont have enough time to jump out and get a save. So try to bait that out.

  • Very well put. The game definitely needs something to actually shake it up. Unfortunately I think DBD is in a state of no return with many of the perks being band aid fixes and core design problems.

  • The headtraps are meant to slow the game down. They're only lethal to give survivors a reason to take them off. If you really want head pops you could always tunnel someone until it happens.

  • Spirit became harder and people didn't want to adapt to that. It's easier to complain about how its somehow unfair that she was nerfed than pick her up and learn how to play her.

Oh, stop getting frustrated when people are going out of their way to make everything as frustrating for you as possible? Why didn't anyone tell me this before?!?!? :D

Like...I get what you're saying and I'd love to be able to just turn off being frustrated but I can't. Eventually, I expect it'll break me and make me dump the game for good.

You have to learn how to control your emotions. It's nothing more than a video game. It does take time to learn patience but it also pays off. Everytime you get mad just take a step back and think "why am I mad?" and determine if it's really worth your anger. This expands beyond dbd and it will honestly help you a bunch.

Behavior also nerfed Pinhead so I'd take their ideas with a grain of salt.

Like I said it doesn't matter if you agree. Their word is law and we have to deal with it. Plus the Pinhead nerfs were very minor.

I am convinced you just don't know how to look over your shoulder. Or use LOS, or W the moment you hear the terror radius. Or crouch. Or juke. Or pre-drop pallets.

Several of your posts qualify for worst take.

If youve read my posts then you can read my explanation for why deathslinger was unfair. I'm not explaining it again here because its exhausting having to repeat the same things over and over again. If BHVR didn't think it was a problem it wouldn't be nerfed. And whether or not you agree on their decisions; they're the ones who decide what happens.

  • that deathslinger is dead lmao

he still plays the exact same mechanically but you have to actually try and land a shot instead of quick scoping when its convenient

  • @Falkner09 said:

It should activate on all downs, and have the cool down removed entirely. If the killer is good enough to down 2 people right near generators within a few seconds, he should be rewarded for it.

True, but also if you're getting 2 downs in under 30 seconds then you're still in a pretty good spot. Regardless I understand where you're coming from as I think this should be the case too.

Problem is that the fanatic isn't really an eldritch abomination but i get your point.

I would prefer the crimson court countess then. She could switch between her monster and humanoid form.

Would love the skins though. Plague doctor claudette would be amazing. I would instantly main whoever gets the jester skin

    need those skins tbh

  • I like the idea of being able to throw snowballs at killers. But rift events are boring. There's nothing really going on and it just feels like another grind instead of an event.

  • I don't think they're really that big of a problem. A lot of the times you have to go out of your way to jump in one as survivor. To the point that it's less safe than just looping. Unless you get lucky and see one right in front of you.

  • @Superyoshiegg said:

I don't think the Entity would like to have something just as powerful as it in its realm. Pretty sure you could already classify the Entity as eldritch anyhow.

true. i just love the idea of having something like that in a game like dbd. the possiblilities with it are endless.

I wasn’t gonna harass. I was going to ask for a refund like I would do any other place or thing. Harassing is when you constantly contact them

still wont work. if youre past the 2 hour mark on steam you cant get a refund.

  • Binding of Kin was probably one of their worst releases yet. I doubt Twins sold for very much which is also why they're being neglected. I think BHVR would rather forget it ever happened. It sucks because I love the Twins aesthetically and their power concept. It just needed to be executed better.

  • lmao harassing devs isnt going to get you refunded just banned

  • Executioner

I love silent hill and adore his concept as a character

    Probably around 100?

    No clue

  • Camping and tunneling are legitimate grief. You are preventing a player from having genuine interaction. You give them no time to prepare for a fair chase, and that's just assuming you're playing a balanced killer. Ik people are going to blow their load and say "oh well I don't have to give u a fair match", and I find that to be hilarious. Killers will write entire posts explaining how they're going to quit because a survivor did something mean. Or a survivor used something they don't like.

The "I don't have to give you a fair match" saying only goes as long as the person saying it has the advantage. When they lose the advantage, then it's not fair. When they're on the receiving end then it's a problem. The people who regurgitate this are the same ones writing posts about how survivor is op. The ones who swear killers have nothing going for them, so they, the victims of bhvr's favoritism, have to run full meta perks and ridiculous add-ons to compete with solo survivors.

Killer main btw. Some of you probably won't believe that, though. Mostly because I don't sit here and whine about how unfair the game is instead of getting better at it. Killers have it pretty easy with a lot of the stuff you can bring in.

The general consensus is the informed player base that have put many hours into her in her current iteration (I myself am approaching 10 hours now).

The fact that you can't be bothered to post PTB lines up well with your uninformed opinion.

I already know what she plays like and playing against her I've noticed flaws in her design. How is it uninformed when I've been playing against her almost exclusively since release?

Another thing I'd like to add is that I don't want to buy the chapter because of my own personal opinions on what bhvr has done recently. I won't be bothered to give a greedy company any money unless it's necessary. So yes, to some degree you are right about that.

  • It is, but I've been on the forums long enough to know what to expect. The only purpose of replying to that was to shut down any possibility of a non-argument, as those are typically really repetitive and serve no purpose other than trying to invalidate someone.

  • @jinx3d said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2671069#Comment_2671069

she can totally shut down ONE loop, too. Once she hits you with her m1 or birds, there goes her ability to shut down. Why wouldnt a survivor run through the idle bird in chase? It also makes no mither kinda a counter to her in a weird way because then she cant shut down a loop lol

You can't always just run into the idle bird. If anybody does that it's a mistake on the killers end for chasing them in a way that they could do that. You want to place a bird then make a survivor run towards it so that they will be hit.

"Once she hits you with her m1 or birds, there goes her ability to shut down"

Yes, but what can the survivor do to avoid getting hit? If I cant go around the loop anymore and she's right around the corner then what are my options? I can try to run but I won't get far. I can't vault or else I'll take a hit. What are my options?

I also fail to see how no mither counters her in any way.

  • In all honesty boons aren't as strong as people make them out to be. They aren't an end all be all weapon of doom that the survivors have. It's definitely annoying, but it doesn't solely win the game for survivors. Many of the times when there is a boon in my survivor matches it's usually not worth the time to go to the other side of the map just to heal. It's risky and would probably just be better to let my teammate heal me later than be caught out of position by the killer. Plus that's one less person on gens for a pretty decent amount of time.

As killer it changes the way you play, which is why I think a lot of people don't like it. My normal playstyle of tagging survivors as I go along doesn't work anymore since they will have a little healing beacon. It sucks but you have to adapt to the flow of the match a lot in dbd anyways. So personally it doesn't bother me too much. A lot of the matches I do lose I don't feel are solely because of boons and rather my own mistakes. It's possible to put survivors in positions where healing is actually worse than being injured. Plus I feel like I only see boons in 1/3 matches now. They're definitely not as prominent as they were on release.

  • @Viktor1853 said:

    Have you played the Artist

I played her on the PTB a lot but I haven't bought the chapter for a number of reasons. Even then, you don't need to play a killer to be able to say "okay this is dumb". I know how she works mechanically and that's enough for me to make an assessment. I know one of the more popular things that people say is: "Oh well you haven't played the character long enough so what you say is invalid". And I find that to be really stupid as anybody can claim how many hours you do or don't have in a lazy attempt to discredit the opinions they don't like rather then rebuttal what was said. I'm only saying this because I've seen a lot of users open with this question and then try to use the "You don't know how to play them" statement as if that somehow makes what was said redundant.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/297591/the-artist-and-bad-killer-design

This isn't as much of a problem but it's very rinse and repeat gameplay. It's the same reason people hate going against Legion. You have to hold a button for how ever long which is the most boring part about the game.

What about working on gens is that also boring?

Or just removing Deep Wound and a flock of crows is boring?

I'm not mad at the killers who are playing her the correct way.

    What's the correct way?

Yes working on gens sucks. But it's the only other thing survivors can do when not being chased. Anything that involves holding M1 is the least fun part of the game since you're just holding a button and not really doing anything else. A lot of survivors will tell you that the objectives need to be something more than just filler to escape. Part of the reason I barely play survivor anymore is because I know most of the match will either be me hittting second stage and getting tunneled or do gens while my teammates die in 3 seconds.

As I stated the correct way to play her is to shut down loops and zone survivors out of position. My problem with it is how little the time investment is for how strong the result is. If you don't run away the second she places a crow you're screwed but it's also not enough time to make reasonable distance resulting in being hit anyways. This is what I mean about the gameplay not being interactive. The killer doesn't really do much with their power and the survivor doesn't get to do much either since their only means of defense is gone.

Stop overthinking it my guy your all in your feelings taking it personally when I'm talking in facts

Sorry if the facts hurt your feelings but they are what they are that's why there facts they don't change

You do let them vault windows, but it's not my fault if they do it incorrectly and go down quickly again.

If you can't loop a tunneller for a couple of gens, then being tunnelled is good for you to get better at being chased

How do you loop in a deadzone? Or if the killer just hits you right after you come off of hook? "Run DS" isn't a valid counter since we shouldn't have to use band-aids to ensure someone doesn't grief the game for us.

That's like saying this game is trash

When you've never played the game

How much sense does that make

Yet again you've made no attempt to actually refute anything I've said. If all you can say is something about the same regurgitated strawman you love so much then there's no point in even continuing this conversation.

Yes but if you've played deathslinger for 3 games your opinion should be valued way less then the guy that has 1000 hours

You wouldnt go to the doctor and tell them they are wrong right?

You have no idea how long I've played slinger. I could tell you the same thing. You don't know anything about how slinger should be balanced because you haven't played him long enough. It's easy to say and there's really not a lot to say about it. As I told someone before it's a non-argument. It has no weight and all you're doing is trying to put your opinion above mine by claiming I know nothing about slinger.

Also I don't need to be a medical professional to play DBD x>
