  • About time to say goodbye to the forums. So I figured I'd make some posts I was putting off for the future. This is one. When I think of Ghostface, it's like this. His mark is simultaneously strong, and ridiculously weak. It's enough that once you feel stalked enough you have to respect it, and it will pop at any moment if ur not careful. But unless he's right on your back you're probably safe.

  • So I did some play while you wait, got a match against Judgement first go. I was happy to not have to play 10 games just for one match against the new killer. But, let me tell you how that went. The person I was playing against definitely knew how to use the killer. My less skilled teammates (for example, did not understand that holding the run button made you unable to get healed), were dropping

  • Genuine question. I'll admit first off, I haven't gotten a lot of Jasons in my lobbies. If any. But, after playing him a lot I feel like I have a good idea on how to counter him. And I've faced survivors who genuinely can just deny you a hit for most the game with the spear. Ones who abuse your limited time as a 4.6 killer before going 4.4. I've heard that he makes the game play a lot slower. Wh

  • I really miss legion in 2v8, as it was literally the perfect game mode for them. All the fun parts about legion, comboing hits, building speed, stabbing quickly, just entirely amplified. And now they're probably not coming back. But here's the part that confuses me: Legion is weaker in 2v8 than 1v4. Lemme explain why. There's very simple counter-play to legion. This number one, biggest, middle f

  • The SCP games were my first introduction to horror, and I really believe it has not only an interesting world to be explored, but also characters/creatures that could fit into DbD. Here is the main issue: Most of the anomalies that are worth choosing (aka not a spoon that kills you when you think about it or something like that) are insanely busted and not well translated to DbD gameplay. SCP

  • So here's what i think, dbd is basically 10 years old now. It needs an end of life plan. Because honestly I find it to be a lot like TF2 where it has such a dedicated and loyal community that years after the final update there will still be a good chunk of active players. How I imagine this working is the "Custom Match" option allows for it. You can go in, modify values and such for powers or i

  • Now look, I'm not going to pretend that Knight's design is the very best in the game. It does have a lot of flaws. It does suck to get sandwiched with a guard and get hit. But, at the same time, people still pretend it's 2023. But when I say I've gotten death threats and bypassed slurs for just playing a character. Believe me. Again I don't want to pretend that Knight is bhvr's best design of

  • I was thinking of little things that would help killers. With a focus on it being a mix of more thematic and/or buffing them in some aspect. Let me know what you think. Ghostface - Basekit Driver's License + Drop Leg Knife Sheathe. This might sound a little absurd, giving him his best add-ons base kit, but hear me out. This is a personal opinion of mine, but Ghostface is one of the worst kill

  • Pyramid head main here. I don't think cages are worth using anymore. They're basically glorified remote hooks from the anniversary event. I think they've been over-nerfed and I'll explain why. First off, no more loud noise notification when a survivor is saved from one. With experience this really isn't an issue. I know the majority of the time where my cages are. But what irks me is that this

  • I've been watching the show, and I think a few other ghouls could be some neat legendaries. Rize and Kaneki make the most sense, and I'm unsure whether bhvr intends on going through the trouble of making the other kagune's work. But I think Touka could work since she basically flies a bunch. She's also really cool and morally grey, doesn't have an issue killing humans for the most part. Maybe the

  • I was playing solo que today, and the amount of dc's and quits i saw were insane. Literally 4 matches back to back before I got off for the day. I don't mean to sound like "that" killer main. But it seriously is just survivors doing this. Doesn't matter how good or bad the killer is, doesn't matter if we're winning. If the game doesn't go how they want it to, if the team struggles a little, if th

  • Been playing a ton or New Vegas recently and just now saw the season 2 trailer for the show. So it has me thinking. Fallout has a TON of horror elements to it. Unethical experiments, bio-engineering, zombies, abominations and the likes. If Deathclaws aren’t enough for you look at the centaurs. I think the main issue would be what to do with the chapter? Because the world of fallout works best in

  • What I mean by this is less the community derogatory version of immersion. What I mean is an ambient and atmospheric overhaul. I want to explore the benefits this could bring, while also addressing the realities of it. I think a major reason why the game doesn’t feel scary is because of maps almost entirely. The maps ARE the nightmare. You should feel trapped and uneasy in them. But this often f

  • Is niche? Sorta. But I’d love to see him make it in. If FNaF can, he definitely should. Without Slenderman there wouldn’t be a FNaF imo. At least not in the huge success of indie horror we see now. Slenderman is like the originator. Thousands of spin-offs and fan games, obtuse lore, iconic simple design and most of all the obessesion and nightmare of the kids who grew up with him. I know Unknown

  • Father Gascoigne, aka, The Hunter. The Hunter has 3 Forms. 2 of which he can switch into. Switching between forms plays a small animation lock with a slight movement speed penalty (1.25 seconds). A clang will be audible to tell survivors The Hunter has switched his weapon stance. Stance 1. 115 movement speed. Everything about The Hunter is standard in this form. In stance 1 he has his Blunder

  • It wasn't a question of if we were going to get the goth girl archetype, it was when. Adding Sable would've always been a money printer regardless. Whether it be from the people who drool over goth women or people who like the allure of the goth aesthetic. It's nice to get some actual representation that is, for once, a real goth. Too often we get one that's more akin to emo or y2k pintrest board

  • War in the Fog - Gameplay Event Concept War in the Fog is a constant que into a single match. 8 killers and 16 survivors. Most likely requiring a custom map with respawning pallets. The idea goes like this: Every 5 minutes the killer with the least amount of kills is eliminated from the match, and another in que takes their place. Mario-Kart style power ups will spawn which can allow kill

  • It's funny how in modern DbD stealth has actually become somewhat of an issue. I remember back in ye olden days killer mains WANTED survivors to stealth. I'm going to explain how and why I think this is becoming a bigger issue. This discussion started fairly recently, with the introduction of Distortion + Calm Spirit. This combo was a knee-jerk reaction from survivors to counter Ultimate Weapon.

  • Currently, moris and hexes are kind of useless in normal gameplay. Hexes have been replaced in not only utility, but concept too by Scourge Hooks. Playing the role of a potentially powerful perk thats dictated by the risk of rng. Moris themselves are mostly used for trolling or tunneling, since they remove the ability to save the survivor on their final hook. Leaving them in an awkward spot wher

  • We're pretty much done with all of the big name horror icons. With the exception of Jason and Pennywise. I know some people might say Child's Play but be honest with yourself that isn't happening. Anyways, the demand for more indie horror is becoming more clear. Terrifier and FNaF obviously being some big ones. I think the most we've gotten from the indie scene is the legendary sets from CryptTV

  • I think it's a neat concept. Although I really have no clue how to make it work. I had the idea when fantasizing about when of my own characters into DbD. I won't go off about that though. I think if not done right it'd be very frustrating for both killers and survivors. If survivors are left without resources for end-game, they're screwed. That means the killer has to be weak early game and rap

  • Sorry if this isn't the right place, but I need help. The game never gets past the icon that pops up on screen when you launch it. Easy Anti-cheat gives an error code. I've done just about everything I can think of. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Verified game files. Updated windows, updated my bios, my drivers aren't out of date but I still made sure to check them in every way I could. I exclu

  • Even just a Hellsing inspired outfit like the AOT skins would be good PLEASE BHVR I am begging. It has so much potential and it's a lot more horror related than AOT itself.
1 comments 42 views last activity
  • If you don't know what reactive skins are, they basically are just skins that change during the match. I think this could be cool for deep rift skins. Just by doing certain actions the skins would become more animated or colorful. They could also be considered legendary rarities also if BHVR doesn't make them rift skins. I'd get it, as it's probably super expensive and time consuming to create.

  • The buffs have helped A TON. But, I've noticed even with them it's still hard to pull anything off when going against some of the survivor meta. I think the main issue is really the guards. Carnifex is basically the best one since he can do just about everything. He chases the longest, meaning there's a better chance of a hit. He also breaks stuff the fastest, but sometimes you also want to use

  • In my eyes this is the least impactful and forgotten perk in the entire game. It ONLY works when using and item in your terror radius. All it does is reduce charge efficiency as well. :P My idea is to have it slowly drain charges while survivors are inside the terror radius. Slow enough to not instantly sap them but enough to make it a loss. Enough so it doesn't completely nullify Franklins. May

  • I think Freddy's current and old iteration is actually solid ground work for what should be Freddy Kreuger. A lot of people are unhappy with his current iteration. His rework basically removed everything that was loved about his old kit while also making him extremely strong but boring. I'm sure many of us remember infinite Freddy. If you don't know, he had two add-ons that were stacked with

  • This is more of a story than anything. I hope you read it and think about it when u play DBD again. Today I had a pretty stressful game. I was playing Executioner with very light slowdown on Lery's. This is, in my opinion, his worst map. It's awkward to move around with many tight corners, limited visibility with unconventional loops. That means it's really hard to predict survivors movements w

  • Add like a second of not being able to interact with anything after using it. This fixes the main issue with it currently, in that it basically negates pallet greed because you can DH right when you reach it. That means you either get the speed boost or you drop the pallet in time if the killer waits. As well as being able to deny the killer a hit for playing dropped pallets right, because you we

  • So there's two ways I can imagine this combo gets fixed. It relies on at least one of these perks nerfed. Alone they aren't super problematic, but this combo is probably the dumbest perk combo we've ever had. Call of Brine: Only applies to one gen at a time. This makes it harder to just regress 3 different gens at once. It wouldn't really interfere with most gameplay really. Survivors can still

  • Don't get me wrong, it's a lot better than just having 2 people stand in front of hatch for an hour. But the alternative is still pretty bad. I'm saying this as a killer main, and I need to clarify that before people start going ooga booga. Basically the issue is survivors have very little stealth options around most doors, and if they're caught they're dead regardless. On the flip-side, killers

  • I say alternative in quotes because it's more of a blanket term for gothic/punk/metal sub cultures. As someone who is a part of this I really wish we at least got some skins of this. There is Jeff and Legion but the options for that kind of style are small still. I like Jeff's black metal skin a lot, it's cool. Legion's default is the most punk in nature of any of their cosmetics. Jeff still doe

There's also the halloween tome scenes from this year as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKoxkEnIOG8 It seems like he's being used as an enforcer? It seems like portals are being opened in other dimensi

  • This is a pretty simple one. Fitting for probably the simplest killer. The idea is that he has different types of traps now. Not many. Just some to help him when he doesn't have bear traps. Pressing ctrl switches to another trap type. One idea would be giving him razor wire, which slows down survivors for a few seconds after walking through it and has a longer radius. It disappears after being

  • Seriously. The amount of times I load into a game and get sent to The Game, Coldwind, Mothers Dwelling, Garden of Joy and RPD. At least get rid of map offerings. Right now the only thing they do is give survivors an advantage. I barely expect to even get a fair match anymore because of the amount of offerings you get. I'm tired of playing on these same maps just so survivors can have the advanta

  • Now, this isn't to say Bubba is an op S++ killer or something stupid like that. But he is pretty strong. When I say he outperforms Billy, I mean he does nearly everything Billy does but better. 1: Chase pressure. Bubba can eat pallets and come back for seconds like nobody else can. Billy also had this strength. In some regards he still does, but not much anymore. The issue is not only overheat,

  • You can use whatever add-ons you want btw, I just don't ever run his because they're all borderline useless. This build really serves to stall out the game and keep up pressure on survivors. You may think it's weird at first to have so many hook perks on him, but it does work. More often than not you're going to have to manually hook survivors once throu

  • For a long time people have wanted a killer who teleports through lockers. Dredge delivered that and more. They feel like an actual monster, has really cool and creative skins, but it seems nobody really cares about them. I say this because I rarely see any streamers or content creators play them and rarely see them around as survivor. Are they just really underwhelming? Is it an aesthetics thin

  • I've seen people freaking out about this, but as an experienced killer main I can promise you this change isn't going to lead to a free win for survivors. You will have to play differently, that is true. But 45 seconds is a LOT of down-time and most of the time you aren't going to want to slug for that long. This has only killed long term slugging for things such as a 4k. It only really removes

  • It's very simple. If Nurse and Spirit can use it, then it really isn't a problem for other killers. None of them are nearly as strong as these two. Yea, there's some with very dedicated anti-loop abilities, but none of them have that with a mix of mobility. And even with those dedicated abilities, I'd only say Pyramid Head and Artist are the two who can get up there with strength. Both of which d

  • My proposal is this: TV's do not turn off until survivors take its respective tape. This does 2 things. It gives her the only real ability she has (map control) and makes condemned an actual mechanic to be scared of. Now playing against her takes some tactical thinking. Rather than just listening for her lullaby and looping for a million years. One of her biggest weaknesses is that her tv's are

  • So far, so good. I haven't really met anyone whos super crazy with him yet, but my main worry from the ptb is that he would be super oppressive. He is, in certain scenarios, but most of those scenarios are if survivors try to be greedy or ignore infection. I think for the most part he's really good while managing to be fun and engaging. Bamboozle seems like a go to perk on him as every time I've

  • I don't think it'd be too much and would offer him a lot. He's still in a passive state while cloaked, so it's not like he's going to become an anti-loop god. You might get less distance, but really Wraith has nothing outside of being able to catch up in chase. Him, along with most basic M1 killers, need reliable ways to deal with pallets. And this would give him that without having to stock up o

  • It's insane how one perk changed the gameplay in such a significant way. Much less stressful. I also like that we can finally have variety in our builds now. I'm a bit sad they're bringing back DMS+Pain Res, along with making Thana only usable on Legion and Plague (the killers people hated going against because of it). And it makes me a little worried that they're going to start making more knee-

  • I know a lot of people want a 2 killer mode, but these potential combos are probably why it will never happen. As fun as it sounds. Also I'm not going to do dopple-ganger match ups because that's kind of dumb and easy. Oni & Plague. They force survivors into a lose-lose scenario by either healing and giving Plague a ridiculous insta-down, or staying infected and feeding Oni blood. Pyramid
