I'm getting queue times upwards of 10 min. Before it took like 1-2 min on average, now its like 7 min on average.
Is it just my rank (purple atm) or is it happening at all ranks?
Because alot of players never touch the killer side of the game

Survivor satire is the best

As a killer main its like I have a never-ending rotation of prey to hunt! A constantly rotating buffet of people to hunt! The thrill of the chase excites me! The hook at the end is just validation! The SMACK sometimes I legit find myself licking my lips at the computer in anticipation for it. This game pushes buttons for me.
Anyone else? Just the anticipation of hunting my prey sets off dopamine for me. Playing killer is incredibly cathartic for me. And the fact that more people want to play survivor... more people want to be my prey than want to hunt? Well that just means more for me! More to EAT! I grin at my computer every time I yank someone out of a locker. Every time someone is downed to my power at a critical moment. I am baffled as to how killer is the less popular side to play, but I'm not complaining! It means I don't have to share my food!

I've been seeing a lot of killer mains posting their annoyance about the lack of bloodlust this weekend and I only have one thing to say about that:
If you are experiencing survivors escaping more often this weekend and feel no bloodlust is the issue, you're finally seeing the skill-gap those particular survivors have compared to you.
Bloodlust is the equivalent of throwing GTA V's catch-up feature from races into a proper Forza race. It's a subtle crutch that gives killers an edge they wouldn't normally have, even when they're already faster.
If a survivor is getting away more, then they are ultimately outplaying you. There will always be small outliers, but claiming bloodlust is the difference maker is not a reasonable excuse.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
Spoken like someone thats never touched the killer side of the game lol

Applause.
Pretty much my thoughts.
- SWF are challenging, but they’re usually predictable.
- A chase should never reach BL T2 or T3, and many times shouldn’t even reach T1. Either they’re ignoring too many pallets that should be broken, poor judgement on which chases shouldn’t be committed to, or they totally need to rethink their chosen killers power and relearn exactly how it’s meant to help them save time in chases OR make the survivors waste their resources.
Bloodlust 1 kicks in after 15 seconds. Chasing someone for 15 seconds is "poor judgment"? I keep seeing similar statements and all I can think is that youre either a survivor main or the ultimate efficient killer that ends everything in 15 seconds or less lol

How is it going through life miserable posting rants no one cares about except to read and say wow people whine about this ? Me and people we play and have fun. We win it's fun we lose it's fun some people on this game and forum are insufferable. I'm really pleased with how much love the devs give this game and the fans. These rants are pointless and just make the ranter look petty , pedantic , and toxic. We don't need more of this in 2020. Play the game have fun. If you don't. Go play what you love and let others enjoy without having to hold the hands of those who can't cope with others enjoying something you're not lol. Wow these forums I've never seen a game with so many babies lol
Careful lol they arent going to keep you around long with posts like this

This game is never going to hit 60fps on the switch lol

I'd say Whispers would help in that case.
Yes very helpful, now I only have to check every single bush, locker, and hiding place within 32 meters.

I hate it when people hide the entire round and I cant find them and have to give up all my bloodpoints and take a 5 min ban. Last round as demogorgon I got two players with invisibility hacks just hiding in a corner.
I am now 30 min banned because this happens to me so often and the matchmaking is #########!
Mark people that hevent been hit in 10 mins, it would kick these people in the butt and will be unnoticable in normal plays!
I agree that Detective Tapp and Claudette have character skins that almost rival the stealth abilities of some killers. Some of the outfits they have dont even have textures on them, Tapp has a jacket thats just a black void.
Its like playing a survivor that has a 5th perk slot or a light version of a killers stealth ability

It's an experiment... as a test to see if BL is needed and also to test the reworked maps
To see if the devs have anything else to fix on maps
And to ease console players frustrations on lag spikes
I dont have to be a dev on the game to tell you that disabling bloodlust on all killers is going to lead to killer abuse

There's always bugs. I have no concerns. I'm excited for the new killer
"Bugs"? The killer is poorly designed from the ground up. They arent bugs, its an oblivious character design

Personally for me nothing has changed, i feel like it will only affect bad killers who overcommit to there chases which if you do that you will loose games as killer anyway.
Im pretty confident it shouldnt affect killers who have basic knowledge on killer and when to let go of chases.
even dowsey thinks bloodlust is dumb and should be removed, hasnt affected him at all either according to him.
"I feel like it will only affect bad killers who over commit to their chases" - Bloodlust 1 kicks in after 15 seconds. How is 15 seconds over commiting on an m1 killer that needs bl1 around a loop?
Myers isnt even scary in t3 anymore lol

I'm not entirely sold on that. Sometimes you just want to mess around with a specific perk, even if it's not the greatest. It would be a little annoying if the game told you, "No, you're not allowed to have fun with Head On or Any Means Necessary anymore." out of the blue a few matches in when they're not that strong to begin with, and probably add to the variety of perks killers are going against rather than take away. Likewise, it could be a huge kick to some killers that have strong perk synergies, like the Pig with Whispers and M&A. Forcing them to take off those perks can be a game changer.
"Not entirely sold on that" - this is one of the dumbest concepts ive heard for this game lol what were you thinking

@Sluzzy said:
Buff weaker killers translates to I want an ez win like I do with Freddy, Spirit, etc.
The only thing stressful is watching your team go down to the meta killers every single game due to oppressive perks and unfriendly maps for most. This is where killers want all killers to be, an unstoppable force against 99% of the gaming population.
It is only stressful for killer if you demand a 4K every match.
No one wants easy wins, we just want the ability to have more playstyles instead of depending on meta killers, with ruin and undying on every single build, to avoid getting bullied. Survivors have plenty of different playstyles.
We already have to deal with poor hit tracking, grab animations not working the majority of the time, downed survivors teleporting, and ridiculous gen speeds.
"Its only stressful if you demand a 4k every match" - Or maybe you should try being trapper going against a swf with object, as they disarm all your traps, get flashlight saves while you only have 3-5 hooks, everyone is alive, and theres only 2 gens left.

and how is giving double BP on the weekend that it's being tested going to help decide whether BL works or not? When players are not playing properly? That's why this is a test for data, and that's why not more than one change can be made at once for testing things.
Is this a game about "playing properly" or is this a game about having fun? There are so many unwritten rules in this game, most of them being rules that survivors have for killers. Its getting ridiculous. Its almost xenophobic - "we only want players that play properly!!"

They can play all they want. They just won't be able to have any of their pride saying "i was there for this".
It's childish taking your ball and going home. And misconstruing my words is dishonest.
Let me get this straight, youre feeling a sense of pride this weekend for playing during a temporary test on a videogame? I think you need to evaluate your priorities

That will definitely add to their rapport with the players. Blatantly lying. Isn't this transparency what we want?
And people like OP can avoid the game all they want during these tests, but if it actually contributes to the game functioning better, I don't want to see them in the winners circle at the end.
So because there are people that dont want to play the game this weekend, you dont want them to come back at all because they took a break over these three test days? Sounds pretty childish.

What if they forget to turn on the bloodlust again, will you come back?
Where did I say I wasnt playing this weekend? Ive played about 10 killer matches since this morning, and all of the survivors have been taunting more than usual. Its like a paradise for them this weekend and the way theyre acting is a direct result of that
-
@StibbityStabbity said:
On the other hand, you know what is coming up this weekend. You know that if you use BL1 to finish of a chase, those chases will take longer. As such, you can mentally prepare yourself and be willing to shrug off losses. With that said, you can otherwise play as normal and your performance will factor into the data. That data will hopefully be used to understand the state of Killers more and benefit them in the long run. By not playing, you are denying them that data, which gives them less to work with when trying to figure out the general balance, as well as targeted measures to perhaps strengthen your favorite Killer.
As for what everyone else says, let's be real. Most of this community will trash talk you regardless of the circumstances. If someone says you're a trash Killer for one reason, they'd say it for another. You are you, they are them, and their opinion means NOTHING about you. They're just a voice on the internet with no power or influence over you. They probably whine a lot and want free wins anyways. They're aggressive because they're bad. You aren't. I love you <3 Go get em, tiger.
I agree 100%, I just dont think anyone should force themselves to play this weekend because they'd be "denying them that data". We play to have fun, not force ourselves to data mine in unfavorable conditions.

@DawnMad said:
You may be a killer who depends on Bloodlust to get hits, and like it or not there is a chance bloodlust might be decreased or removed from the game in the future. In that case don't you think it's better to get used to playing without it now when everyone else is also gonna be new to it than in the future when many survivors have already adapted their builds to there being no bloodlust. Not playing this weekend would make the future a lot more frustrating for you than this weekend could be.
No one depends on bloodlust to get a hit, but it is another tool killers have that is potentially being removed from all of them. Bloodlust 1 is still very useful on low tier killers, especially when there is only 2 players left and all you have to do is chase.
If someone doesn't want to play this weekend that is their prerogative, but posts like yours trying to shame/talk people into playing this weekend are getting ridiculous.

This isn't my screenshot, but apparently they're testing out the game without Bloodlust enabled on live servers. Beast of Prey has been pretty much deactivated. What are your thoughts on this?
I think it only demonstrates the incompetence of the team, and am desperately hoping they use the information to buff low tier killers, instead of nerf the stronger ones. However, given the track record of decisions made after gathering data, im not too hopeful.
-
@Yords said:
I am confused as to why people are getting upset over this. Very rarely does this affect my games as killer unless survivors run an infinite on me, even then I only get tier one bloodlust.
Because it is potentially removing another tool for killers that applies to several aspects of play, not just looping. It is especially important for chases where pallets are already broken, decreasing the odds a survivor will reach the next pallet, if they have used their dead hard. If they have dead hard they will reach it anyways. End game chases where all pallets are broken and youre chasing 3 people to the door, and your pig, youll want all the help you can get.
Plus the Twins were a joke. They announce a massive potential killer nerf right after they test the weakest killer theyve ever had in the game? Not good timing at all
-
@Yords said:
It is because of latency on dedicated servers. Really sucks
I wouldnt mind if it wasnt so inconsistent but around the time crossplay was implemented it seems very unreliable.
Very unrewarding for stealth killers.
-
I think we all just need to accept the fact that this game has an obvious tier list, s-tier killers that dont need bloodlust dont use it, and lower tier characters that need it in certain situations. To act like they are going to gather data this weekend, that will eventually lead them to buffing the weaker killers, would eventually lead to a less developed tier list where everything is either nerfed or buffed to be even. In the devs minds having all the killers be B-tier would be a perfect world

It’s people like you who make me hate where this game is going. It’s a ######### test for a couple days, get over yourself. They’ve prepared this for over a year now by implementing a lot of unsafe pallets and breakable walls into the new maps. Stop trying to ruin everything
If youre this angry over an obvious satire post, then I think youre the issue here. OP and all the other commentators are clearly having fun
-
Yes instead of focusing on reworking that joke of a killer they tested out on PTB, they are testing a possible nerf that effects all killers. What are these guys doing?
-
@gatsby said:
Ironically, those changes will be healthy for the game. Red Rank Killers already spread pressure and know when to leave chases.
The bad Killers that commit too hard to chases are actually falsely incentivized by bloodlust. They might eventually get the down... but the time it took it get stacks of bloodlust is almost never worth it.
Anyone that thinks its "healthy" for the game to nerf something that effects all killers and also limits their play styles probably only plays S-tier killers with the same builds, or theyre survivor mains. Theres so many playstyles for survivor. For killer it gets less and less

I was not talking about the matchmaking I was talking about his complain for crossplay, you're telling me things which are not related to my comment
People like you are whats wrong with this community. You see an obvious problem (matchmaking), you give a poor solution which would make it worse (turn off crossplay and "you can't complain"), and then you want to argue petty semantics like you're somehow right. You're the guy people warn new players about

if there are more xbox players with crossplay on means most of the players like and support it, but again, while you have the option to desactivate it, you cant complain about it
I dont understand why youre focusing on the phrase "crossplay was a mistake" when im telling you that matchmaking is garbage with it on or off? Im rank 11 - I shouldn't be getting matches like the photo above at all. Look at my perks. How is that any fun for me at all at rank 11?
-
@Angelicus23 said:
just saying, you can disable crossplay, that's your mistake, you can't complain
Making the matchmaking pool smaller makes it worse. The game before I posted this was 4 red rank swf with crossplay off
