The twins is a good example of how not to make a killer. Both sides don't like its playstyle and a very weak power.

I disagree, Freddy was bad because his power often felt like a hinderance rather than a benifit. To do well as old freddy you had to play hit and run and in that case you might as well just play wraith. Thats why theres the teleport and pallet abilities still as well as being isolated from other survivors when asleep. Old freddy was never terrible, he just needed something added on
No killer should wait before being able to hit a survivor. Sorry but the idea of having someone asleep first before hitting them was always a terrible mechanic. I'm glad he got reworked.
-
No old freddy was bad for a reason. Sleeping mechanic can never work.
-
Probably not. Most of the time whoever makes the balance decisions never thinks they're wrong.
-
At least those posts offer some feedback. You're right though its not like survivors complain about spirit freddy undying/ruin its only the killers lol.
-
It should not. You should be rewarded for trying your best and being a team player. Like healing team mates, unhooking, trying to repair gens. If you do nothing all game and just hide the entire time while your team mates get slaughtered then you shouldn't be rewarded for escaping.
-
Old freddy putting people to sleep animation. They should've kept that on reworked freddy at least when he's teleporting.
-
Frank has the best skins. Joey needs some love.
-
Sounds like a politician making promises that will never come true lol but seriously even if I was 100% sure they would fix every little thing I would still second guess myself.
-
Favorite
Spirit i like her design and she is really strong against alot of the teams.
Blight his power is weird at first but pretty fun to play once you get the hang of it
Oni his demon dash is very fun to play as especially with his spicy flicks
Least favorite
The twins one of the most boring killers to play as you can literally camp near the hook and have to walk across the map just to hook someone.
Plague her power is just dull throw up until they're broken > survivors cleanse > rinse and repeat thats only if they do cleanse. I would be all in for a rework.
Nurse she can be strong but with bugs and the smallest pixel stopping you from blinking it makes the game frustrating.
-
I like using Franklin's against 4 flashlights or keys. But Franklin's is not very useful if the survivor doesn't have an item. I mean there is a counter play and that's dropping the item somewhere safe or dropping it before getting hit. It used to just take charges off but that wasn't very helpful. So they buffed it and should stay that way imo.
-
Not the spirits fault you don't wanna learn a counter. Adapt or keep struggling.
-
Usually tunneling and camping happens more often in lower ranks. Most of the time tho getting tunneled is your team mates fault who decided to unhook you in front of the killer without BT. You can play however you want if you wanna be"toxic" go ahead just don't be surprised if the killer camps and tunnels even more.
-
The difference between madness and torment is that the doctor forces survivors into madness with his shock. Pyramid head relies on the survivors to run on his trails for them to get tormented. If you make it so survivors can remove the torment then there's no point in using trails. His trails of torment ability is fine at this point.
-
Not addicted theres just not another game like it.
-
I used to be a killer main and play nothing but killer. But after the stress of playing killer I stopped and played survivor. Now its 60% survivor and 40% killer. Solo que is hard but I did get better with my looping.
-
I mean I play solo ques all the time and I've gotten to rank 1 multiple times. You just gotta learn how to loop and get better. This game favors the better player. Although survivors have alot of second chance perks take advantage of that.
-
Well even if the perk can be used once its still a strong perk. Its stronger when its used with UB. Now its true that you'll will definitely get hit with ds if you down right tunnel. But the issues killers have with DS is that survivors treat it like invincibility. If I'm a survivor and I have DS guess what? I'm not gonna heal im gonna push for the gens why? Because I know the killer won't touch me if I jump in a locker and if they slug? Ill just use unbreakable to recover faster I don't have to use it right away. And if I do use DS and the killer tries to tunnel me down for an easy kill ill just drop every pallet while you're focused on me my team will finish the gens. And if you leave me alone ill find someone to heal me. You don't even need DS as long as there's an obsession killers will always respect the DS unless they want to take a chance. Right now playing killer is a bit laid back. Not because killer is easy but because survivors are getting worse imo. I'm getting matched with rank purple green sometimes yellow ranks and maybe 1 or 2 red ranks. So right now its the perfect time to run simple or meme builds if you choose. Once the MMR hits hopefully we will finally get survivors who gives a challenge and show how unfair it might playing against these survivors so people see what killers are talking about.
-
In order to play with the new HUD you need to unlock your third eye lmao. Seriously tho alot of people already know where this game is heading.... With the amount of time they take to fix bugs, release broken patches, and make horrible balance decisions i won't be surprised if they end up losing more veteran players. And when people say "bye uninstall" you know there's one less person. 1 less killer 1 less survivor longer que times.
-
I like when people say "as a killer main" then say things that don't make sense to killers. "If they have UB so be it" this makes me question whether you're a "killer main". This is basically admitting that theres no counter play to UB or DS just slugging. Which is not really counter play just a band aid fix. Not only are you losing all the momentum you had earlier but now you have to start a new chase or wait to find someone running to the survivor who's on the ground while 2 more survivors are working on gens. Its a lose lose situation. Survivors won't heal with ds and will just sit on the gen because they know theyre invincible. And no DS wasn't meant to be "anti tunneling" the devs have said that thats what the community labeled it as.
-
If I see a key or multiple flashlights I'm dodging the lobby. If I suspect that their a swf i dodge bro. And I don't want to hear "bring franklins" I shouldnt have to bring a perk to counter items. I'm not here to amuse the survivors. I want to casually play the game not stress out over it.
-
As someone who plays both sides at red ranks i will say that both sides can be easy or challenging. However the reason why many killers feel their feed back is falling in deaf ears its because it is. For the past few months every single forum post was about nerfing spirit or undying because finding totems is too challenging and when you tell them about their options they say thats not counterplay. Theres even people saying to nerf BBQ which is imo the most balanced perk in the game. Its only been nerfs for killers the few patches and "buffs" that some killers got are laughable and completely useless in higher ranked games. While survivor perks get buffed not the best perks but still more buffed. The clown rework? Dumbest power ive seen since playing this game. You have people admitting that they "frequently" play together meaning with swf and comms of course you're gonna have an easier time playing survivor right? The thing about solo survivor is its always gonna be stressful same as killer but the more you play the easier it gets. Killers will always adapt its only survivors who want something forcefully changed than adapt to it in my opinion.
-
Yea its pretty bad. Why even bother doing all that work with the antidote? "Trick" the survivors you aren't gonna "trick" good survivors with more that 1 hour in the game lmao. Just throw your regular bottles to slow survivors down. The fact that you still only have 4 bottles makes me wonder why would they bother adding a useless antidote mechanic. The only reason I would use antidote is not in a chase but getting 10% faster to a gen. People who look at this clown update and genuinely think its good are only clown mains who only play clown and wanted something different but got this instead and are trying to justify why its good.

Can you be more specific in your comments please. It's really hard to take feedback on board when it's just "this is awful" without any explanation of why it doesn't work.
Its just everything is all over the place. Moving your eyes all over the screen is just gonna start giving head aches. The old HUD makes it so you have everything in set up in a way that doesn't take too much stress on your eyes. And easier to navigate. For newer players the old HUD is really easy to understand and see where everything is. The new HUD splits everything apart so I'm sure they're gonna have a harder time knowing what is going on. Newer isn't always better.
-
Bro i can't even take this "buff" or "rework" seriously lmao. Over a year of waiting and here i thought they were gonna do something special like a second power maybe having traps similar to caustic from apex legends be placed around the map or loops but nah we just get the bottles that make both sides quicker might as well make bottles to speed up gen speeds but seriously this is just disappointing imo. While the reload speed is better i wonder if they touched or nerfed the reload or exhaustion add ons. Were gonna have to see how it works in a real game right now it sounds bad and shows laziness tbh.

agreed even the DEVS THEMSELFS have admited that balancing the game with SWF would be near immpossible and they said this on their dev stream way back before SWF was implimented
i would say go watch it on their YT channel but oddly enough its the 1 of the 2 only missing dev stream vods
Yes I think I know what you're talking about lol.

Imagine calling people who wanna play with their friends cheating. Yes it sucks when survivors are more coordinated than you like them to be but this is a multiplayer game. Nowhere does it say that this game was exclusively 4 individual survivors against 1 killer. Solo q is miserable 9/10.
It Is and it isn't. The game isn't balanced for comms. You can play swf all you want right there isn't anything wrong with that. But majority of killers don't think its fair when the swf starts using voice comms. You basically get extra perks for free. Increasing your chances of winning. I'm all in for including comms in the game as long as killers get buffed. That way swfs and solos have the same tools.
-
There definitely should be some type of regression maybe it should regress but it should start maybe after 20 seconds? And not regress below 80% that way survivors can't just open the door with a single tap and give enough killers enough time to stop the survivors. The point of EGC isn't to give free kills right. The point of it is is to make survivors leave. But here's the thing survivors wont just leave if their team mate is on the hook thats why they 99. "Killers can open gates tho" but why would a killer walk away from a hooked or slugged survivor just to open a gate. Thats when survivors will rush to the hooks and get a free escape. A killer should never open the door youre literally helping the survivors win. Making it a perk would just be a band aid fix at best or a meme perk.
-
There's people out there who just play the game casually so alot of people don't know how to play oni as optimal as possible. Scalped topknot doesn't make the games unwinnable everything has a counter. Its easy to run around an oni around a good pallet set up or a T wall ive done it other people have done it. Scalped topknot is one of his best and most used add ons because his other add ons are just really bad. Just play other killers or without add ons if you feel too bored.
-
Yes let's change ruin and undying because some guy finds it boring. Seriously tho just destroy totems. Use detectives or small game. Games go way too fast without some type of gen regression. Yes you can 4k with no regression perks but you have to slug, tunnel, stay near the hook just to have a chance. Bad survivors want to the build nerfed but as soon as someone says "what about ds and ub" those same people are quick to defend that combo like their life depends on it.
-
There's counter play to every killer. The same killers/perks are played in high ranks because they are viable. Any game you play with friends is gonna be fun. It could be the most boring game in the world and you could make it fun with friends. Solo que is miserable I'll give you that. But most of the time in my experience its because of your team mates. They will DC,give up on hook, or go afk. Theres also boosted survivors who only play SWF that only know how to gen rush so when they have to loop a killer they have no idea what theyre doing. Red ranks will always be unfun everyone is sweaty.
-
I would like either F13 or Childs play. I think chucky could definitely work if they just play around with the FOV.
-
I would like it if he threw his trap down similar to junkrat from OW with a cool down of course.
-
He's really loud bro I could be stading still and the killer can hear me across the map. Seriously tho his sprinting and injured sounds are too loud. He's also a huge target and hard to hide. His cosmetics are pretty bland they all feel the same kinda like Adam.
-
It shouldn't work with killers who have stealth abilities. It should also have the meter decreased or some type of cool down. It offers alot with no drawbacks.
-
But here's the thing old BNP, insta heals and vacuum pallets were QOL improvements. It took them years to nerf insta heals. Both sides complain but from what I've seen survivors complain the most because there's more of them. Every week there's a new discussion how undying and ruin have no counter play or how spirit is OP!!!. Meanwhile all killers just want a fair chance against certain perks like DS/UB. Or an equal chance against people with comms.
-
As long as he doesn't have to make the survivors fall asleep to even be able to hit them. But I do see longer cool downs.
-
Oh yea it definitely is. You can tell by just playing. Playing survivor is less stressful and easier imo. Your mistakes can always be corrected by your team mates. The only thing that's stressful is survivors getting paired with boosted teammates or low ranks who get downed instantly. Killer is far more stressful and more punishing. 1 mistake and it could cost you the game. Potato survivors are no problem with any killer or rank. But as soon as you get semi decent solos or a swf then you're in trouble.
-
BT should have tokens. At least 2 and should deduct a token if the unhooked survivor gets hit.
-
They need to implement some rift shards on the daily challenges. Or at least lower the amount of grind.
-
I never really used them. People would either dc on loading screen or give up on hook. Its usually just there for daily challenges. Its a waste of bp. At this point it should be on the base kit or at least the yellow mori.
-
I wish people would find a better word than "boring". Its lost its meaning at this point. It just sounds like "I dont wanna improve make it easier for me" imo. Anyway Hag can be easily looped with her 110% speed. However she's at her strongest when she's playing basement hag. Crouch walking helps but if she's smart and wastes too much time she will definitely go back to the hook. Most of the time its up to the survivors to trigger traps you see her set so she loses traps. If you see her set traps either drop the pallet early or move on to the next loop. Trigger her traps if she leaves you.
-
Like many discussions on undying and ruin those two perks are fine. Hex totems should be a risk to cleanse. Will the killer continue a chase or protect the totem? Its up to the killer. Theres options for you to find totems. Theres 4 survivors 5 totems. Most of the time my team mates see a dull totem and won't bother with it. The build is meta because of how well it works. Its the best slow down combo in the game rn. Killers also are rewarded for pressuring gens which so many survivors tell us to do. But when killers do it too well now its unfair and needs to be nerfed. But survivor meta perks have not been touched for years
-
Claudettes/blendettes. Everytime I play with these little demons they almost always go down first and DC. Or offer absolutely no help and instead theyre self caring across the map with sloppy butcher. The part that makes me mad the most is that they almost always find and escape through hatch.
-
You're telling me that I have to look for totems and destroy them? The game is literally unplayable. But seriously yea every post about undying and ruin people don't wanna run perks to help find totems. They don't even wanna use maps like what? They just like to throw their favorite word "boring" so much that its lost its meaning.

So you think perks need to be game changers and you want to be carried by them? Why are people complaining about ds, unbreakable etc if that's the logic that's being applied? It couldn't possibly be one standard for killer another standard for survivor right?
Detectives hunch requires gens to be popped first and even the limited info it gives you is just somehow goign to magicaly wish ruin undying away?
Small game is actually garbage in terms of totem hunting.
Do you know how maps work? You actually have to find and be within range of the totem for it to show up, so you wan't to run around the whole map at the start and then go and pop the totems?
Survivors use game changing perks all the time bro. Why do you think they use DH, adrenaline, ds, UB, bt? They're all second chance perks. Detectives rewards you for completing a gen. Small game is ok to learn totem spots you just don't wanna replace your meta perks as survivor right? Rainbow maps show you totems within 8 meters. With detectives and a green map you actually have it easier but of course you wont replace a meta perk. Its not the killers fault that their applying pressure with undying and ruin if you're not gonna bother finding totems.

Would gen speeds having gone much faster without tinkerer or undying combo'd with ruin? Yes. Then it's a gen slowdown perk in that instance.
There is no counterplay to ruin undying other than praying you get the totems in the right order AND hoping you can find the totems before you've lost the game or without throwing the game.
But there's perks to counter totems. Small game and detectives hunch. You don't even need to bring a perk. If you bring a map then you're good. Saying there's no counter play is just false. It gives the survivors a second objective which is good. Theres 4 survivors. You just need 1 to look for totems or be a good looper. Also coup de grace is a bad perk imo. You only get 5 tokens. As a killer you need as much help as you can get in a match. Yes it could help you make some ok plays but all a survivor needs to do is drop the pallet and you lose a token. There's way more better perks out there to be replaced by coup de grace. Perks need to be a game changer bro.
-
The only way to increase your chances of getting a pip is to get a 4k or find the hatch location. I understand that slugging for the 4k may be boring for both sides. But you are the one who bought the game dont let people shame you for your playstyle. People who say "stop caring about ranking or pipping" dont understand that this is how you know you won a game.
-
If gearhead didn't have so many requirements to use it it would still be decent at best. Theres a reason why so many killers and myself use ruin/undying and depending on some killers tinkerer. It just does the job better.

The only way poor behavior will end is if the devs put mechanics in place that discourages it (and I can think of multiple ways of doing so for all of the various toxic behaviors we see). This is going to be an uphill battle because I've watched DBD devs streaming themselves playing Killers and engaging in poor behavior like tunneling and face-camping, and almost every streamer I've watched does the same thing. It's a shame, because such behavior utterly ruins the enjoyment for one or more players.
If someone's way of "winning" ends up ruining the enjoyment of other people playing? Then in my opinion, that's not winning at all.
What mechanics would you put in place for "toxic behaviors"?
