I was trying to defend him. The guy started assuming he was making a console war statement, but he wasn't so I just elaborated on my perception of why he stated it that way.
My comment wasn’t directed to you hun.

I reported them in-game after the game was over. Do I need to do anything else? Never had to deal with hackers before because I play on console.
Don’t know why this thread conjured up all of the salty and defensive comments. OP asked for help, not for someone to argue about/defend their platforms people. Anyway, to answer your question darlin’ @IronKnight55, you may need video evidence to attach to your ticket for proof, otherwise it’ll be considered hearsay. Sorry you had to experience playing with a hacker.
Edit: Typo, auto-correct suckssss.

Sadly no :( I can’t do cross maps like that anymore
You’re still the best Huntress 💜

Question, so if it is bannable, would that mean the the survivor knew about it in the first place? And if so why go up on the hill? And what if they got stuck on purpose. I saw this yesterday (The stuck part, not on purpose I think) until I came to the forums I thought he was just afk. I downed and hooked him, but had no idea
To be fair, you don’t have to go on or around the hill to get stuck. I’ve seen Survivors get sucked into the glitch or get stuck while running from the Killer near the hill. I’m pretty sure those guys don’t do it purposely, but to answer your question, I’m not sure if it’s bannable. I would ask @Peanits, @MandyTalk or @Almo .
Edit: typo

I never understood why we get the Huntress Lullaby notification as soon as we touch a gen to begin with.
-
Good question. I sure hope so, I love the blight events but you’re right, unless the entity allows him to mess with the other Killers, I can’t see how’d they do this lore wise.
-
Lmao same here. And don’t get me started about seeing that pale white mask staring at me from behind in the distance with no terror radius.
Only two killers that still scare me.

You said "its obvious its a PC player when they have a space between two words". Thats assuming.
I told you my intent, please stop trying to tell me that it was anything otherwise. Don’t understand why you want to provoke a disagreement, I thanked you for informing me of what I wasn’t sure of. The discussion should’ve ended there. 😊

Thats my point. Because the platform YOUR on doesnt allow certain things in usernames... you assume NO console does and therefore...must be PC. Xbox allows spaces.
Edit- currently playing warframe on switch and seeing plenty of names with things like hyphens, underscores and periods too
Not assuming, actually allowing for someone to give me insight. As I said “at least on PS4 from what I know of” was me being unsure, not assuming.
Thanks for the clarity.

When the point being made is that they're more powerful now than they've ever been before, it is absolutely fair to bring up the many, many examples (these only be a few) of how they were significantly stronger in the past. If you want to say that you still think they're too powerful, you can definitely just say "In my opinion, survivors are too strong right now" and that's totally fine, but exaggerating for effect doesn't make the argument any stronger.
Well said. 💜

Just curious, how do you know which platform theyre playing on?
It’s obvious it’s a PC player if they have a space between two words. Consoles don’t let you do that, at least not PS4 from what I know.

It's so ######### stupid how you're literally invincible and there's absolutely no way to counter this idiotic strategy. If I already managed to down someone at exit gates why the ######### do they get yet ANOTHER layer of invincibility in the form of "HUEHEHEUH IM HEALING XD"
So ######### dumb, why is this even in the game still?
EDIT: Alrighto, since I was fuuuming I realise now I did not express myself in a way that most people would understand the point. What I meant was, Once a survivor is downed at the exit gates it is practically impossible to grab them if their teammates are not absolute potatoes. As long as you start healing them before the killer is able to pick them up, they are 100% immune to the killer, and I find it ridiculous and ######### stupid that healing gets this priority over the killer being able to grab them.
If you hit the healer, then during cooldown both of them have a chance to get away for free, absolutely no counterplay. if you don't hit them, they get healed and get out anyway.
Now if after this very civilised explanation you still don't think this is busted then I have nothing to say to you lmao.
I understand what you’re talking about, I’ve seen my teammates do it before. The issue with that is the Survivor can’t move while being healed, so depending on how close to the exit mark they are, you can get them if you hit the Survivor that’s stalling. There’s really nothing you can do it they’re close enough, just take that loss and move onto the next game.

That makes sense. I'm pretty sure the devs were trying something like that with mmr, but we all know how that went.
Indeed. Hopefully they patch that up and place it back into the game correctly.

I mean, the whole point of the ranking system is to give you people of similar skill. It is a skill ranking system, the problem is that it kinda sucks at that. Thats why people are upset. How exactly would they implement a "competitive" mode if the one we currently have isn't one?
Makes sense. I’m referencing Overwatch’s system as I type this. Maybe that’s why I’m not seeing it that way.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
They already have. What they haven't added is a casual mode to contrast it
@SCP_FOR_DBD said:
The main mode is competitive. Thats why its ranked.
The rank I’m talking about is like skill ranking, leaderboards, top 500 players. Their ranking system is nothing of that sort.

You do realize that on PC you can use stuff like Google meet or other chatting options as a comm right? And you can choose to connect a USB controller to games?
Discord is also a popular voice comm software. USB controllers exist as you said, but no, only console players use voice comms and controllers. Its a fact, because that person said it was. /s

I am sad to hear that. I honestly had not noticed (because I don't DC) before the crossplay was enabled, now it is painfully consistent.
Yeah. There were a lot of penalty problems including being locked out of the game for days because of issues with connection. I believe something happened with truetalent as well.
-
DC penalties have been turned off for EVERYONE. Its been a little while now.

I’m sorry, but putting out topics like these on the forums is only going to get you responses like the first one up there. Not that it’s your fault, and hell, it probably wasn’t even your intention. It’s no secret that ever since the crossplay was implemented, PC players have been degrading and looking down their noses at Console players. Its disgusting, egotistical and we shouldn’t be labeled a certain way considering everyone of us play differently.
Also I would LOVEEEEE if people would stop separating the community as if we don’t experience enough segregation. We’re all DBD players that should be enough common ground.
Sincerely, every console player that’s tired of the elitist mindset running around the forums.

I find Small Game kinda poopoo and I actually find Detective's Hunch way better. If you bring a green map, even if it has no "Track killer belongings" addons, the totems shown from Detective's Hunch will be added to the map.
I’ve gotta try this.
-
I’m going to assume you’re a new player and inform you that cleansing all 5 totems on the map is what removes NOED.
If you’re solo queuing, I suggest you try running the perk “Small Game”.
It gives you a noise notification when looking in the direction of a dull totem.
NOED is a balanced perk. Some may argue it’s a “crutch” perk, but people have the right to use it just like Survivors have the right to use what others would call their “crutch” perks.
-
I don’t hate Pig herself, but I can’t stand the way people play with her. She’s probably my #1 hated Killer to face because of that.
-
Inner strength is better. Don’t @ me.

OP complains about people doing their objective.

It's to track the time you spend on a specific Killer, so that it can pair you with Survivors of your skill level, but as the MMR showed, it didn't work.
Ah okay. Got it

It's not weird, it's the only possible way to match to a team according to that specific killer MMR. The main idea was to have a specific MMR for each killer.
Wait so, every Killer has different MMR? Like my Nurse is different from my Trapper, etc etc?
I don’t play Killer because I suck so I don’t really keep up with the updates/changes for them.

Purposely.
Lord Almo demands we must have it, so it must be done.
That’s such a weird thing to place into the game especially for Killer. I always thought it’d be Survivors who got this feature placed on them. They always last second switch anyway.
-
Was Killer lock purposely implemented or was it a bug?

Pump, pump, pump it up.
Pump that spirit keep it up!
Fire, fire, fire it up.
Fire that console spirit up!

Side Note: This is why toxicity is so unwanted. People need to understand there are people who play this game who suffer certain anxieties, depressions, mental obstacles & simple acts of kindness can go a long way.

- I hope they don’t close this thread because I can sense a high cry for help and I’d love to help, even if it’s just a little bit.
- I’m no psychologist or therapist, so I don’t want to throw some advice out there that I don’t know would help/lessen your anger/stress. However I have a phone number here that you can call. Don’t know if it’d get you the help you’re seeking. 1-800-273-8255 (Suicide Prevention/Life Crisis Hotline).
If you need someone to simply just talk to or just express your anger or frustrations to, I’m willing to communicate off of the forums and help you 💜 So sorry to hear you’re going through this and I can relate heavily having extreme anxiety and seasonal depression. Whats your point? Im more asking a question of what would it take so the survivors dont just through a tantrum every other game
Honestly, nothing. Which is why it’s best to avoid it to begin with instead of complaining that they’re complaining. I took extra measures to avoid the toxicity from both sides by setting my privacy options to “friends only” for messages. I also have my friend requests shut off so they can’t slip through the cracks and find a way around communicating their toxicity to me by attaching a message with their friend request.
-
Good question, I too would like to know the answer to this. I haven’t been reporting though.

So let me get this right. You get cross play, which increases que times and might improve things a bit, and your first response is to purposly rally people to go out and teach people a lesson for daring to make the best of the platform they are on.
To directly quote you on another thread.....
"the things we were talking about was about the pc killer mains making console survivors miserable"
A good portion of console players are opting out due to FPS issues. Keep up this kind of attitude and the players that have decided to stick it out will just not bother. And I'm not talking about you winning or knowing you have an advantage, I'm talking about the general attitude. Because nothing will make console players feel unwelcome more than crap like this thread, making the opt-out button far more desirable.
My hero.
-
Humbled ALL toxic survivors is what this topic should be titled.
-
@Umbrae_pk was this you?
-
This has always been the case, hence why we were PLEADING for crossplay because Survivor queue times were over the roof long. Longest I’ve waited in a lobby was 30-40 mins for a game before I finally said screw it and got off.
