I would add a list of survivor wishes. But they have all been implemented.

I want my fast blinds back.
I want the bug fix back where you can stun the killer at the start of the animation so you dont need to time this.
I want the pallet vacuum back.
    Remove bloodlust.
    Exhaustion recovers while running.
Want back the first hook generation so that they dont respawn after 300 seconds.
    Want back sabo jukes.
So what exactly got the survivors the last 17 months? Explain (rhetorical question)

Do you want to start the match with open gates too?
Because some of the things you posted have been broken af.

You told me survivors got all the wanted. If this would be the truth this game would be like this. Killer requests were answered. since 1.5 last year^^ And the devs are still not done. They're actually balancing the game. They do what is good for BOTH sides. Not just for the killer. Of course they mainly changed things for the killer side because it was needed but saying "ehw the devs answered every survivor wish" ist not true and a bit stupid^^ They wanna increase the fun for both sides and they have a plan and sometimes you just should wait and show some patience. And a little less selfishness.

The last patches looked like the game goes into the right direction. But with the upcoming changes (we probably see today) i think the devs are doing 2 steps back. But we´ll see.

Except for dedicated servers and removing the button smashing part of the struggle phase.

I don´t think dedicated servers will ever be a thing. And even if, someone in Burkina Faso would complain about his high ping.
I agree on the button smashing tho. That really shouldn´t be a thing.

Did you notice that survivors are awfully brave already in the beginning of the game, runing up to you and clicking with their flashlight in your direction?

Yes it has something to do with balancing

The weird part is, once you give them your full attention like they demanded, they suddenly dc because you "tunneled" them. But wasn´t that the whole point of their behavior?

It's not about staying at rank 1. It's about how stressful it is and how much effort each side has to bring in to "enjoy" the game.

A rank 1 non nurse/billy player has to try harder than the average survivor.

Rank 1 is suposed to be challenging.

Other killers have to try "harder" because nurse is too op. Some people got used to her due to the amazing results and feel like other killers should perform the same way. A good nurse with a slug build can get 4 K in less than 2 or 3 gens in almost every match. I agree that rank 1 should be challenging. But it should be challenging for everyone. Not just killers.

It is, and when survivors have to face that nurse i was talking about it's extremely challenging/a certain death

Exactly what every killer should be . Unfortunately its not.

If every killer gets to be extremely challenging/a certain death... Dont you think that would mean it's unbalanced for the other side? Needs to be challenging for both.

This is supposed to be a horror game. Not Mortal Kombat. Where everyone can 1v1.

Killers should be OP. Survivors should be scared. But somehow the survivors convinced the devs that it should be the other way around.

Doesnt matter how powerful the killers are, this wont be a horror game because many other factors, like the light.
Killers got the upper hand already because they can kill while survivors can only run and escape, and maybe some occasional blinds.

Easy steps to turn this into a horror game:

    • remove terror radius
    • remove scratch marks
    • remove swf voice chat
    • remove aura reading
    • remove perks

Basically use the Hardcore mode i proposed so often.
Survivors will fear the killer but will also be able to hide better from the killer.

Keep terror radius, but remove third person camera. Thats way better

    Why not both?
I fking LOVE to play against jumpscare Myers!

Because we somehow have to keep a balanced state.
removing the third person cam would do enough already. Looping will be tremendously more difficult instead of just runing braindead in circles because you can see the killer 100% of the time. Also mindgames are possible without third person cam, even if the red killer light isnt removed

Well, yeah i agree. Removing the third person view would nerf looping hard and make the game more intense.
We could add this to the hardcore mode... :P

  • I would add a list of survivor wishes. But they have all been implemented.

  • Even more if they are the obsession and still have their DS ready.

Yes that was me, but what did you mean by near the killer?

If Killers were actually powerful and able to completely destroy a Survivor 1v1, then Survivors wouldn't taunt them to try to get the Killer to chase them. They'd avoid the Killer at all costs. Any time the Killer came near them, they'd want the Killer to go away. You say that's not fear, but then you also say that Killers who want to avoid SWF are just "scared", so why the double standard?

Oh, but i never taunt the killer and i've said in this forum that doing that is simply stupid.
The difference with SWF is that a too overpowered killer would be something permanent, while swf is something that can happen or not.
Best comparation to swf would be a nurse with ebony mori, less likely to happen but more deadly than swf, and when that happens i simply play the game, dont try to dodge it by DCing.

So no, there are no double standards on what i've said

But many survivors dc if the killer has a hidden offering.

Yes, told you that would be an awesome mod. But making killers absurdly strong wouldnt make them scarier, that is different.

No, of course not absurdly strong. I guess most of the killers would be viable if looping wasn´t so efficient and gens wouldn´t be done so quickly.

Giving up a perk slot for that perk isn't worth the bloodpoints. BBQ is way better plus killers get more bloodpoints than survivors.

WGLF is superior to BBQ because it´s way easier to get WGLF stacks than BBQ stacks. If i have a good match i leave with 50.000+ BPs as survivor. Without any offerings.

You’re high as a kite if you think WGLF stacks are easier to get. It literally relies on teammates failure, while you being there and NOT the other 2; AND almost never doing gens. It’s a recipe for disaster. Meanwhile BBQ gives you stacks for just not being complete #########

Let's see, unhooking someone and getting hit next to the hook = 2 stacks.
That's clearly harder than hooking every survivor once.

    /S

I have to agree that BBQ stacks are much easier to get than WGLF stacks tho.

Not for me. I usually get 2 stacks on a camping killer unhook. That´s really easy money. I rush in with BT.

I get the 4 stacks of BBQ way more frequently especially if i played well in that game than the WGLF (and if they are camping i am probably going to go to the hook)

I'll admit that with WGLF you can get them twice as fast though.

I´m used to drop everything the moment a survivor gets downed. Unless i use my scavenger build (Ace in the Hole + Plunderers) i equip Empathy and try to position myself close to the survivor, before he gets downed.

I like My gennies personally. Especially if there are 4 survivors (including me) il let them save them if possible.

I just go in for points. Unhooking nets way more points than the gen.

Gen makes people survive and "win". Saving means usually death (or a pip or both)

Oh i also do gens. But my priority are saves. I often equip We´ll make it.

Lag switch: when you get no progress while holding m1, hear no killer and suddenly you are downed.
Oh and survivors can lag switch too. Had more than enough survivors teleport like a nurse. But to a point that they were faster than the killer.

  • All hex perks should be converted to normal perks.
They are supposed to be high risk, high reward perks. But most of them are simply high risk, low reward.
Survivors don´t have perks that can be removed by the killer.
    The killer isn´t OP.
Why can survivors remove killer perks? This makes no sense.

  • I would agree if this was an actual horror game. Where the survivors can´t hear the killer from far away. But for this NASCAR simulator? It´s already to dark on certain maps.

The old offerings made some matches simply impossible. 4x claudette with that offering and the killer can be lucky if he gets a single hook.
And don´t come me with "git gud", unless the devs release a killer who can also hide in the shadows and has no heartbeat.

@Orion said: The point of the basement is to be dangerous and scary. Seems like it's working fine, according to your complaint. I personally think the stairs needs to be wider for the basement, at least. A killer shouldn't be able to stand in the basement stairs and prevent players from leaving.

I agree. Once survivors aren't able to body block the killer, the devs can make the stairs 3 meters wide. Ahhh a killer main advocating for taking the game hostage. Typical. Making the stairs wider is taking the game hostage?

######### are you talking about? You think killers should be able to sit in the stairwell and block survivors from escaping, which is the entire reason i think the stairs should be slightly wider, to prevent this, as it happens a lot.

What part of "make the stairs 3 meters wide" sounds like I want the killer to take the game hostage?

The part where you only want this to happen if body blocking is taken out - it's part of the game, there's even an achievement for it.

So body blocking is only ok while the survivors do it. But killers can't body block the hook.

    You sure are biased.

Where did i say anything about body blocking hooks? You have a habit of putting stuff into peoples mouths.

Aww stop it. Stop trolling. Go back to your bridge.
Survivors shouldn't be able to body block the killer. Period.
Killers can't body block the hook anymore, because biased survivor mains like you complained non stop how unfair face camping is. Devs gave survivors like always everything they asked for and introduced swivel hooks for survivors. While keeping the fixed hook for killers. Survivors can unhook from any angle but killers can only hook from one angle. And this is "fair" because the killer can hit the survivors.
    Bullshit!

You know what, I've never been taken hostage by the killer in 1000 hours. But dozens of times the survivors took my game hostage. But that's ok, because survivor issues are somehow more important. Not like there are humans on both sides.

You keep calling me killer main, but I play more solo survivor than killer. I never found it difficult to play solo. To play the way this game is meant to be played. But you act like this game is hard as survivor.

So the bit where I said about body blocking hooks, where did i say that again? I recall you putting words into my mouth and then not providing evidence of me saying such things.

Yes, Im such a survivor main lul. Killer & Survivors are both easy - people just think they're good when in actual fact they're terrible and need babying through the game.

You are putting words into my mouth, because i never claimed that you said something like that!
FFS, i just used an example to make my point and you play the victim like i pretend that you said something.

I'm pretty sure they're about to punish farming more soon though. They are going to subtract points for farming like the emblem system

So? That's only reasonable. Back when WGLF used to give up to 300 % bonus points, the games were a farm-fest, to the detriment of hooked Survivors.

    It was 200% bonus points.

    Beatiful time's

I wouldn't be mad if they buff it back to its old bonus.
But survivors would probably hook farm their teammates.

    Indeed beautiful times.

That's clearly harder than hooking every survivor once.

and this is why killer dodging is so stupid - assuming someones setup based on their character, just another stupid reason for killers to doge, lmao.

You mean like survivors disconnecting when facing Freddy?

    People do that?

There was a huge wave of survivors disconnecting against him, when he was released. That resulted in a nerf for him. Because "it's obviously not fun to play against him".

You can hook from all sides though... am I right? That's why the vacuum moves the killer to the front of the hook... it would look wierd and dumb if the survivor ended up on the hook but the killer directly to the left of it... I mean the suction to the front of the hook looks ugly as well but either way unless they implement turning hooks it wouldn't look right..
You can, but the prompt is blocked if the destination area is blocked. Fortunately all killers have the ability to swing at survivors and force them away.
    "Force them away"
Yeah sure. If it's against a SWF team. There will sit 3 survivors at the hook. And by the time you hit them all, the survivor on your shoulder wiggled out.

ive noticed in about 95% of the threads it’s been “camping is good because I want points and blah blah blah” and survivors are like “this one guy hit me therefore I can dc because blah blah” or “this killer OP” and killers are like “this perk is OP because it meant the survivor could have a chance I want it removed forever and I think jungle jims and pallets should be removed bc I want ezpz games” I play both killer and survivor and the amount of people getting butt hurt over a little thing as if it’s a big deal is laughable some of the suggestions by survivors and killers on buffs and nerfs are made just for an easy play style which is boring as hell. I think people on here need get over themselves and just take stuff with a grain of salt and think about how it effects both sides like if you had a buff/nerf idea but you play a lot of killer and want it for a killer make sure it’s not unfair for survivors or too big a buff that will make it the new sprint burst I didn’t start this to cause a argument btw but I have a feeling I’ll see a few survivor/killer mains in the comments saying “I sense a killer/survivor main” or “git gud” or if I’m lucky people who actually agree this forum needs more mods or something to counter the amount of bait, hate, or trolls on the forums.

DBD is the most unbalanced game I know. The experience is horrible for high rank killers and for low rank survivors. Matchmaknig is so broken, its beyond believe.

If you ask me, the game went in the wrong direction long ago, I can only shake my head when it comes to decisions like global hex notifaction giving away all information or stuff like that. Playing survivor has become so easy I do it with one hand while eating or typing at the phone.
Playing killer is either easy AF if you play on low rank or you face bully squads you dont stand a chance. The survivors decide how the game is gonna go, not the powerole in the game (funny eh?)

Doesnt help either that certain "humans" advertise toxicity in their channels that is in the game now too

You are the one who OP is talking about xD.
Sure, show us how you type on your phone while in a chase.
Just because YOU can't multitask while playing survivor, doesn't mean that others can't.

It's not really hard to drink while holding m1 for a gen. Or to check the phone.

Can't do that as killer tho. Need both hands.

We all agree that the game is unbalanced. But somehow we keep playing.

OP, camping means usually losing as killer. But sometimes it's the only thing left to do.
    Also everyone defines camping differently.
For some it's still camping, even if the killer is at the other end of the map.
  • Freddys biggest problem to me is that he is so tough to get away from. There is no point to trying to lose him, just waste as much time as possible. This makes him very unfun to me.

Not to mention the rng escaping the dream.

When you loop Freddy, then that Freddy is playing him wrong.
He's perfect for hit and run.
  • This game needs a hardcore mode.
No SWF, no perks, no heartbeat, no scratch marks, no aura reading, etc.

Players could get a bp bonus for playing and an additional bonus if they play with/against normal players and/or swf.
  • What if all 4 survivors use this offering and are wrong? Do they dc to bypass the penalty?

Both is trash. I hate that I agree with you. The only thing I can see this tremendously backfiring when trying to combat a tunneler though.

How would that affect tunneling? Not sure what you mean.

Tunneling is choosing your target strategically, that has nothign to do with how hooking works?

Okay so a thing that survivors do is hook block when a killer is tunneling someone as to keep the person from being killed. To combat strategy with strategy. Also some people hook block just to be asses which is why I agree but have my reserves as well:
I think survivors shouldn't be able to body block the killer. That the killer should be able to "push" survivors with his body, and that survivors should be able to pass the killer if they push against him for 10 seconds. Just like they are able after a hit.

Do what you want. But don't expect survivors to give you a free sacrifice if you can't kill anyone during the match.
And don't expect gratitude from them. They might even insult you for giving the hatch.

Don't expect it, but understand that there are survivors out there that will take a hook for a killer who had a bad match. I have no problem in doing that, and I also give the hatch when I play as a killer. In either situation, I'm walking away with more than enough points, more than likely.

It's really easy to forget that there is a person on the other end of that connection, and this game can get really frustrating sometimes. You don't need that 4k, nor do you need to survive every match. Just go in, get your BPs and pips, and have a good time.

I´ve been insulted by survivors, because i gave a hatch to someone else.
Or because they thought that me passing 2 hooks and going straight for the hatch was a dumb mistake instead of intentional.

Trust me, I'm not trying to take away from anything you've experienced. I wasn't replying to you, more of adding to what you said. I should have made that clear.

These forums are probably one of the more truly "toxic" aspects of the community. Every post is just two hugboxes warring it out over who is in the right, and it seeps into the mindset of more and more people as they join. It's like a microcosm for identity politics. People just need to keep in mind that it's not every survivor, not every killer, and not every match.

Of course it´s not every survivor or killer.
The majority of our players are simply normal players and not even toxic. But those toxic ones cause so much trubble, that this game is at the same time the most played and most frustrating one. Or do you know any other games where people say after 1000+ hours that the game sucks?
It has something addicting to it and (with some adjustments and balanance changes) could be a great tournament game.
For example, tydetyme was commenting yesterday on a tournament and it was really interesting to watch, but i´m going off topic.

Excuse me, but i have done that many times as a survivor, especially to the ones who didnt camp, who doesnt give up after eating 10 pallets and yet play "fairly" or are clearly newbies. When i'm solo it's just me, but when being on SWF all our team has sacrificed in some of these matches.

You are excused. After feeding me 10 pallets, you go directly to the basement.

Jokes aside. I only encountered a handful of survivors who would offer me a free hook. The grand majority just is plain toxic and insults even after i dropped them in the basement instead of killing them with their last hook. Ochido did a lot of damage to our community.
