@Tsulan knows how to fix things properly.
I haven't been using SC for a year. I don't miss it. Of course, this means that I pass some matches injured. But since I use Iron Will, I don't notice a difference.
  • OP, have you tried playing nurse?
    Just curious.

    Playing the game obviously.

    Ironic isn't it?
    So waiting in queue...
    Yes, it's ironic.
Hell yeah dude... I got to rank 8 after reset and hit a wall as survivor I couldn't get a lobby after a 25 min wait... so I ended up playing a bit of killer even though I didn't wanna touch killer this patch since  sounds are not fixed until the midchapter
Rank reset might have to do something with it. Not everyone had the time to rank up to their normal rank. So queue times vary.

Good thing is, if you play both sides, you won't have to wait long. Since you can just switch to the side with instant filled lobbies.

I was just thinking that myself. I'll never forget that special Radiant guy clustering the forums with nonesense.

I love how after his 20th acc he finally tried not calling himself Radiant only to flag everyone who called him out (which did not take long lol).

I'm not sure where he is today but if its not a mental asylum he's definitely at the wrong place.
Yeah that guy was really annoying.

    @Tsulan
Survivor queue times are usually quite fast, that's why people is asking what's going on (including myself, i made a thread about it too).
Also there's hasn't been any important change that nerfs survivors so...
I would bet on some kind of matchmaking problem. Like killers had a month ago.
Or all the kids went back to school...

  • For playing pay to win killer Freddy.

For letting them farm when 2 disconnected.

For not letting them farm when 2 disconnected.

    Nah, bad for survivors.
Everyone would be forced to equip it, since no one would be bothered to heal others, since everyone assumes that everyone uses it.

Everyone else would still heal others even if the other was also affected by mangled at the same time, since survivors manage to make a chase last longer than 16 seconds after being hit.

No, they wouldn't. We've been already there. SC was (still is) meta and no one healed others.
    It's good like it's now.
I had enough matches where I was injured during the whole match, because people didn't heal. Everyone was using SC.
  • Nah, bad for survivors.
Everyone would be forced to equip it, since no one would be bothered to heal others, since everyone assumes that everyone uses it.

  • I just speak from experience and observation. I've watched many of the top streamers on youtube, and they're all rank 1 killers, and even as they 3 and 4 kill, they still whine about "my ruin is gone", "pallets, etc", "now he'll get the hatch". They are very good and the gameplay is great to watch, but their constant whining is annoying. Here they are getting 4 kills as freddy at rank 1 and they're whining about putting people to sleep. Even the devs are funny. I've watched the dev FAQs and streams, for instance they talk about how the ruined building on McMillian estate is loopable if the survivor hugs the square structure, however they are pandering to the killers even still, that building never is by itself, there are always interruptions, boxes, generators, rocks next to the building that breaks it up and then the example they gave wasn't even valid because the structure isn't only a square. Killers at rank 1 are salty and sweaty. As I've said earlier, They tunnel and camp. What I'm seeing is that is that the devs keep nerfing survivors to make killers dominate a 4 SWF where all 4 are excellent surivvors. That simply isn't the usual experience. SWF lobbies take so long I 99% play by myself. I prefer to be the only one on my part of the map, If 4 are on different gens, it's more efficient, gens also need done around the map to prevent the 3 gen strategy, which noone thinks ahead about.

Many people derank to have more competitive games. I also double pip as killer at rank 8, I just don't get the excitement out of chasing people down as a juggernaut as I do trying to outsmart the strongest character in the map.

So watching others play on rank 1, gives you the experience of them...

Gonna watch some professional football players and try to get a professional football player contract now...

    Uhh... yeah...

Then..... LOOK AT A WALL. seriously whine much? It's not hard to avoid flashlights. Look at a tree, a wall, anything except the open where a survivor with a flashlight is. I like flashlight save attempts, It's an free extra 1, or 2 hits for me as killer. With the nerfs to flashlights it takes a lot of skill to do it right, which most don't have.

You sound aggressive. I didn't even answer to your rant about nerfed SC. Since it's ridiculous.

Go play killer then, if you always get 4 kills. It obviously suits you more than survivor.

Notify us once you reach rank 1 and tell us how your experience was. If it's still a easy 4k.

Maybe the community should vote who is eligible for FW. Then then devs should watch their streams to make sure that the quality is ok.

Instead we got some random people which do everything that's against the rules.

You should be able to keep your offerings or add-on when that happens.

Especially since as killer you don't even pip when that happens you merely safety pip with almost no gain in BP.

Please if you can, look into this.

The same can be said when the killer does it and I lose my offering, my purple flashlight and all my add ons when they pull the plug mid game or in loading screen, something should be done about both don't pretend like it's only impacting killers

With the difference that you keep your items as survivor and each survivor gets twice the BP the killer gets for 4 DCs

I've been on both sides of it so I can understand it but when it gets so easily dismissed on these very forums by killers mains non stop saying git gud it gets called out.

If people were actually told what's lag switching and what's not they actually feel better and learn something instead of feeling their getting trolled by killer mains.

They are being dismissed, because people call everything a lag switch:
Survivor missed the DS skill check? Lag switcher!
Killer seems to go faster than normal while carrying someone? Lag switcher!
Survivor was downed after jumping through the window? Lag switcher!

Nothing of this is a lag switcher.

But the next things are real lag switches that happend:
No progress bar progress for more than 10 seconds while holding m1.
Can´t see the killer, next second you are downed or already on the shoulder of the killer.
Being unable to unhook someone, no matter how long you hold m1.

Please don´t ask which one. I´m done with searching dev streams for a one liner.

That doesn't change the fact that killers also will start downloading something to keep their ping high when they want to have someone leave.

I also already acknowledged that's what happens as well but let's not pretend that killers are angels here in any way shape or form. Once the dedicated servers come up there won't be anymore of that nonsense going on.

There are far less lag switchers than people claim.
Not every lag spike is a switcher.

I'm not disputing either of those but I've been around long enough to know the difference and have recorded enough videos of it happening. But to say it doesn't exist or happens only rarely is untrue especially on pc and for those that remember the old Starcraft usage.

As I said. There are far less than people claim. But they exist.

Now that the matchmaking went back to normal, I'm totally against depiping.

Maybe once we get dedicated servers we get different modes.

We need 3 types of game modes:

    • Casual: less punishing for both sides. More hook stages, gens, camp save zones around the hook, more rewarding to hit&down survivors than to kill them, etc.
    • Ranked: harder to pip than now. More ranks like R6, longer seasons, end of season rewards.
    • Hardcore: no UI, no scratch marks, no terror radius, no aura reading, no survivor status information for both sides, etc.

That would actually be great. The only issue I can see would be queue times, esp for solo.

I imagine that many people would come back to DBD once we get dedicated servers and a casual mode.
    This would solve queues.

In the higher ranks, some people learned that ds can be not as annoying by running enduring, so that ds is less hard hitting and you can get back in action fast, ds really does not need a nerf or buff, and I play killer 75% of my games @ToxicFengM1n As I stated earlier in the comments, there are certain times that DS will rob killers of a well deserved kill, that’s the unfair part about it. I don’t mind getting stunned, it’s the fact that a kill I worked for just got a free escape. Especially, when they get too cocky and teabag at the exit gate and get downed just to DS out. It rewards bad survivors. If you’re going to give survivors a perk to escape

the killers grasp, at least have a downside to it like @I_am_Negan suggested. Make it an unnerving presence skill check or give them the broken/no mither status. If they decide to not do anything about it, that’s cool too because at the end of the day, it’s just a game.  I like the idea of broken status effect when using the perk, forcing survivors to hold onto it @ToxicFengM1n yes! I know people are going to be pissed as hell when it gets nerfed, but I feel like it would really shed some light to try and get survivors to use other perks.

Community-wise also since the boosted ones always rely on it, I feel like it’ll help people play more efficiently and not too cocky.

A good idea for you all in community to evaluate is DS can get nerfed in a good way, I am not being rude, but DS is in my opinion the hardest perk to nerf, its like freddy, one nerf can make it too weak, one buff can make it too strong, reworking DS would take too long, and the people who say remove ds, you guys have ran this perk before, dont lie about it, a good way to nerf it is making it give you broken for 120/100/80 seconds and reduced action speeds by 14/13/12% for the rest of the trial after use, the skill check could be smaller and the stun time can be reduced, but this can lead to survivors not liking it and I hate making perk ideas that are not the best

I really like this idea. Tagging @not_Queen , even though I doubt she’ll see it heh.

Damn, you really give up fast.

A injured survivor who's being chased anyway wouldn't have time to heal. So this uhh nerf is like trying to fight global warming by throwing ice cubes into the ocean.

The big aspect of this nerf would be that the survivor would suffer a reduced action speed for the rest of the trail. Maybe even increase it to 15% for all tiers. That would definitely be a nice nerf without making the perk useless.

Survivors would save DS for the last hook. Gates are powered at this point. Or it wouldn't matter anyway.

Still better than now though, where the DS just wastes an insane amount of time. Sometimes, if you do good enough as a killer, it won't ever get to the point of the exit gates being powered. And when only 2 or 3 survivors are alive, it's not that bad to get hit by DS.
At least my problem with DS is that it just wastes so much time for the killer, especially at the beginning. Of course, though, maybe there is a better way to nerf DS.
I'd honestly be happy if they just removed it until they found a way to nerf it properly.

    1 DS is just annoying.
4 DS could mean a complete loss for the killer.
It all depends on how good those survivors are.
For bad survivors it's just some extra time. For good survivors it's a extra life.

I like the idea though, just stop saying you're a survivor main when you're asking to make the most overpowered killer perk baseline. And no I didn't say the most overpowered perk because that certainly is DS

Also if you want this built in, then how about we make NOEDs counterpart, Adrenaline baseline.

Making adrenaline baseline without a way for killer to counter wouldn't be good for balance at all.

Yup you want to make it's counterpart baseline but you want to leave Adrenaline as a perk? Well how about this, a base NOED would require a base Adrenaline otherwise THAT'S not good for balance. Honestly, I'd scrap the idea and leave NOED and Adrenaline as they are. Sorry dude but there's no chance that could happen without making Adrenaline baseline. Even though you'd give NOED a way to shut it down, it'd still be overpowered or really weak because whatever you link it to, would be ignored by rank 20's or it would be destroyed by rank 1's.

I am a survivor main, that's the "I am".. I even edited it to clarify before your response.

And DS would be more a counter to NOED, which I already agreed could make for an interesting objective as well. Adrenaline's speed boost won't really save you and it healing you doesn'thelp against being exposed at all.

Again, it's there moreso to add time to the game, not actually come into effect.

Yes you did my bad. I didn't bother refreshing the page.

But let me explain why I think Adrenaline is a counterpart to NOED since I don't think you get it. As @Tsulan explained to me, Adrenaline doubles the hits you need to be downed and NOED halves it.

Also the adding time thing is cool and all but seriously not a built in NOED the rank 20's will have absolutely no chance.

Yes, build in NOED is a terrible idea.
Game should be easier on low ranks. Not as punishing as it is now.
There should be special noob ranks where people can't pip up unless they decide to leave those noob ranks permanently.

It's nice to see, when someone shares your opinion. :)

Dribbling only works for the obsession and when the hook is near + no one body blocks.

Oh and the situation you mentioned can be countered by BT.

Tunneling can be countered by BT ? Lol

Finding the first survivor takes between 30 and 60 seconds.
First Chase takes 60+ seconds. 15 seconds to carry the survivor to the hook.
Unhook right before struggling = 60 of gen repair time.
BT save = 2 hits = chase of at least 45 seconds + 15 seconds carry to hook.
Unhook right before struggling ends = almost 60 seconds + 2 hits...
At this stage the gates should be open. Body block and easy escapes.

More than enough time to complete all 5 gens. Since all 5 can be repaired in 3 minutes or less.

Chase doesnt take 60 seconds if you re good or play with strong addons it doesnt take 120 seconds for one survivor to die unless you camp the game has more other aspects which you seems to ignore

    Hook stages are 120 seconds.
If the survivor is playing like a noob, no amount of second chance perks and swf friends will help him survive against a good killer.

Maybe that survivor isn't on the rank he belongs to.

Peanits mentioned that they can, lagswitching survs do exist, probably just less known.

... How would that even work? Aren't they harming themselves?

Not sure. But i have seen laggy survivors acting like Tracer sometimes so i can imagine that some found a way to weaponize that lag.
Same. But it's more a hack than a switch.

I'm going to frame your answer and point at it  every time someone complains about lag switching killers.

Go right ahead since I've given the same advice to survivors complaining about and also telling them to record it and submit it via support ticket if it's actually lag switching. I've even explained multiple times the differences and sometimes subtle ones at that.

But let's be honest here we both know killers do it way more often than survivors do at least on pc so more of survivors complaints are legitimate.

There are far less lag switchers than people claim.
Not every lag spike is a switcher.
It's the matchmaking system that's the culprit here they've said more than once in their streams that they've had problems with it , killers are more often lag switchers (when it does happen) and survivors more often speed hack from what Ive noticed
If the killer has survivors from USA, Russia, Japan and Australia in the same lobby. While sitting in Europe. I guarantee you, that at least 1 of them will complain about the killer being a lag switcher.

I can count the amount of lag switchers I've faced on 1 hand. Lag spikes happen quite often. But are not a indicator for lag switching.

This double standard really pisses me off. Lag switching is [BAD WORD] bad, we all know that. But its completely fine for survivors to be EXTREMELY laggy, and barely uncatchable, and gain a simular advantage to lag switching from whatever it is they do to increase their latency. Both need to be bannable offences. Its funny how the lag is very selective too, and only occur's during chases or when they are about to be hit.

Add it to the list of bannable offences, survivors have more than enough crutches and tools at their disposal, don't make lag another one.

Oh good grief, you can always dodge someone with 1k ping or red ping and if you think someone is lag switching on the survivor end and you've got proof report them.

Also you do realize that you're the host so perhaps it might just be you that's the problem or you know the possibly multiple Isp's the data runs through to get to you.

Lastly the fact you use the crutches insult points to it being more you and not them.

I'm going to frame your answer and point at it  every time someone complains about lag switching killers.

No, this is not a bait. Ds is a balanced perk.

Unbreakable is a balanced perk too.

    Deliverance

    and etc.

If this is not bait, then what is the DS counter?

Protecting gens that are close to each other, tunneling , camping . Being able to kill one survivor fast in total then gen rush is not a thing anymore

So I just slap them and try to keep them away without hooking them...

    Are you serious?
    The counter is to slug??
