By hitting survivors and driving them away from the totems.
So survivors just do all gens while you sit on the totem. Brilliant idea!
-
@HectorBrando said:
Bad idea, Survivors cant defend totems or stop the Killer from breaking them and once someone memorizes the spawns it will be easy to just get rid of them while patroling gens.
I mean they can make perks like that but after the initial rush nobody would play them at higher for the same reason Hexes are not that good past green ranks except on high mobility Killers.
And how do killers exactly defend totems? They can´t sit on them during the whole match, or they´ll lose all gens while trying.
@OP How about making certain survivor perks hex perks. They see a glowing totem and don´t know if its a killer perk or a survivor perk they are cleansing.

And killers have it way easier than it's ever been but you still complain.
You have to be kidding.

You named one of the reasons why survivors have long queues and killers get instant lobbies.
This needs to change. Because no one wants to play against bullies.

I actually agree with that. This game is a horror game. The killer is suppose to be a forced reckoned with. Something that takes 4 survivors to take down. But it doesn’t feel that way. Instead of being in a horror movie it feels like a comedy. With the killers being the punchline.
Whenever i start to run in circles, i play Benny Hill music in my head.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK6TXMsvgQg -
Thats the result when the supposed power role isn´t the power role. A killer should be as strong as 4 survivors. Yet, we have survivor mains that push for a 1vs1 experience.
Anyone remember Evolve? They also made the Hunters role stronger than the Monsters role. The Monsters could find a lobby in seconds, while the Hunters had to wait a very long time to get a match. Which is what we have already in DbD.
-
Oh the devs didn´t ignore it. They made the totem spawns easier to spot. Placing them next to gens or on top of a hill.

Lmao, 3% per hooked survivor sure is a ton. Watch out for those evil genrushers.
It stacks. If you save your great skill checks, then you get a 19% bonus for one great skill check. Now add that 3 or 4 survivors take this and you have a counter to 3 gens.
-
I´m gonna lean out of the window here and say that the killers also just want to get 1 normal game. Not one, where 3 gens are done by the first hook.

...Which may or may not be correct. It's based on my reading and my understanding of the GDRP.
I cannot stress this enough: if you want legal advice, talk to a lawyer. Anything else should be taken with a big grain of salt.
Don´t worry. I was just curious. Thank you for the effort.

I'm not a lawyer, but under GDPR you might have some sort of argument for having the video censored and/or deleted, since it can be argued that it contains personal information. Of course, that presupposes you are in the EU. Not many places have passed privacy protection laws that apply online.
EDIT: Again, not a lawyer. If you want legal counsel, then speak with a lawyer and/or some institution in your country that provides legal counsel. We can't know which laws apply to your country.
Thank you. That was more information than expected.
-
How is the legal ground here? When i say before the match, that i don´t consent to participate in the stream.
Isn´t Twitch obliged to interfere?

Oh i just wanted to give you another chance to free yourself. Since you desperatly wanted to escape on your own. To bad, you failed again.

Its kinda weak in comparison to second chance perks and prove thyself imo but we’ll see how it plays out
A combination of it would be perfect for lower rank SWF. That struggle with 3 gens.
But what really blows my mind is, that the devs see the current gen speed and think, that we need something when the killer plays better than the survivors.

This is because of people who have no idea what they're talking about and maybe play Billy once in a while for a daily, win against trash survivors and then say he's still A tier.
People don't understand that it doesn't really matter that you can move quickly around the map (assuming you don't get an indoor map) if you can't down people fast enough; that's why he's an extinct killer.
Billy has WAY less lethality without good charge time add-ons (and not that joke of Mother's Helpers) other than being much less fun and clunky to play, and the Engravings not only double penalize you (longer charge time and more overheat), but the stupid roar also makes easier for survivors to juke him during a curve.
Exactly! He used to be the gold standard for balancing. Other killers should have been buffed to be as viable as him.
But now? He's just a m1 killer now.

I feel like this is a good thing. This will finally reveal the true balance of this game to every player and then the devs can adjust from there on.
Maybe thats the reason why the devs post poned the launch. Their data shows how skewed the balance is.
-
@Zeus said:
I would say wait until MMR comes out and stabilizes before balancing the game. MMR should massively change how the game plays out if it works correctly.
While i agree, that we have to wait for MMR to kick in, i have a bad feeling about it. I think killer streamers like Otz and True will only face seal team 6 SWF squads and vice versa. Which will result in pretty long queues for one side and a miserable experience for the other one.

Gen speed is fine. If 3 gens get done once you get your first hook then that's the game's fault for spawning all survivors separately, or maybe even your fault for chasing a good survivor for 2 minutes. PGTW is a very good perk because it instantly takes away 25% progress which is a LOT of progress. It's a huge difference because wouldn't you walk to a gen and kick it like usual without that quick regression? Hell, Surge takes away 8% of progress and even that's a good amount of regression.
If PGTW takes away 100% of gen progress then the survivor playerbase would be destroyed. Literally. 25% is fine and it's way more powerful than you think, even after its nerf it is still S-tier.
Im playing solo survivor on red ranks. This is how most of my matches go. So i doubt it´s my fault, that 3 gens get finished by the first hook.

dont go for the guy who got unhooked, thats what he wants. to use his ds on you
Then he goes for a gen and uses the 60 seconds to finish a gen.

I don't run slowdown besides corrupt anymore. I just run STBFL/Shadowborn/BBQ/Corrupt on clown, and play super aggressively. Usually 12 hook games aren't a problem for me, but that's because I pretty much have mastered him. On killers I haven't mastered it's very hard sometimes to even get 10 hooks.
Killers have to sweat to even stand a chance, and then get flamed for camping/tunneling.
-

lets be honest, everyone is going to use meta perks instead of that.
Maybe yes, maybe not. It is a clear counter to 3 gen. Since 1 great skill check can give up to 20% progress. Funny how people think, this is weak, and see Pop and think this is strong.
-
@swager21 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2019657#Comment_2019657
pop shouldnt regress it by 100%. 25 is fine. i mean, can you imagine how frustrating it would be to literally have a 99d generator and you just lose all of that progress just cuz of a perk
You mean... like chasing someone for 50 seconds, going to pick up, only to get pallet stunned/flashlight blinded/hit by DS?
Yes, i can imagine how that feels.
-
@GodLikeTerror said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2019657#Comment_2019657
Pop would be too overpowered then. Pop alone is useless in my opinion on most killers at least. Gen regression is not worth it these days in my opinion. That's why I just run corrupt for early game, and that's it.
Current gen speed is insane. In most red rank matches, 3 gens are completed by the time the killer gets his first hook. Thats 60% of the survivors objective, while the killer has completed 8% of his objective. Current Pop is useless, because the killer spends more time walking to the gen and kicking it, than what it regresses.
Corrupt just changes which gens get repaired first. Killers stack gen slowdown perks in a desperate attempt to get more hooks. This needs to change.
-
A normal kick should regress a gen by 5%. Because gen tapping exists.
PoP should regress a gen by 100%. Because 25% regress is barely worth it, when 2 survivors repair that regression in 11 seconds.
-
Despite all the people claiming that Billy is still A tier, he's like a unicorn now. You hear about people playing him, but you never get matched against one.
-
There are not enough killers around. Which results in this.
-
You are not the only one who feels like this. But the devs don´t seem to see the current situation as a problem. Since they introduced a new survivor perk, that increases gen speed.
-
I think, no one got the irony of your post OP.
-
Yes, it's bugged.
You'll have to keep trying until it counts the kills.
-
I would buff it, by blocking all pallets and windows for 30/45/60 seconds in a 30 meters radius, whenever someone in the basement is unhooked.
-
@SleepyWillo said:

I think it encourages survivors to get off gens and do other things once they've maxed objective points. I'm very okay with it if it encourages survivors to get into chases, heal, do totems, etc instead of sitting on a gen all match
Thats what i´m doing, but it feels like a waste, when there are no totems left and i still have to repair gens.

On all matches where 'theoretically' the most invested killers went against the most invested survivors, the LEAST performing killer is way above the expected mean of 50% kills (the 2k outcome). Are you seriously telling that your experience is more valid than ALL red rank matches put together? Are you sure that your personal experience is really unbiased, despite EVERY SINGLE killer across the roster performing considerably better than what the community considers a draw?
Why don't you prove them wrong and show the data you collected throughout your games, pretty sure an excel sheet could be helpful.
Stats are from before the mori and Undying nerf. So pretty outdated and unreliable, or do you want to buff nurse?
-
I agree. This is one of the most scummiest things in the game. When i come from the other end of the map to save you, and you 4% right in front of me, then i won´t rescue you. Doesn´t matter if it succeeds or not.
-
It's bonus points should be applied after the match. What's the point of maxing out objective points in 1 1/2 gen?
-
Running in circles.

For real, it's not hard to be gen efficient and that's all it takes to beat like 9/10 killers. The only reason it gets hard is because it's 3 other random people, you don't know if they are going to just throw because they want to go have dinner or let their little brother on their account or something.
Be gen efficient, know how to run a killer, and honestly the coordination required is fairly minimal. Even when playing in a SWF the only info we share we wouldn't already know is like "I am going to come save you" that's about it.
I agree.

I only played solo on red rank but i can use windows only so many times when there is no pallet because they got wasted at 4-5 gens after 10 mins in game, i wished i had solo mates like u who would carry me.
seems to me like u are getting a way better treatment in this game nothing less.
ofc someone like u couldn´t even consider it having easier than other.
After 10 minutes? Gates should be powered by then.

Survivor keep getting nerfed on killers order so playing solo is impossible which results in more ppl playing Swf and be toxic about it or more solo players quit and nobody knows why
Lol no.
Btw, i play solo on red ranks.
If you need SWF to play on red ranks, then you don't belong there.

Nonsense. I know you will never get away from your narrative, but people suiciding on Hook will have little to no impact on Killrates. It has an impact, but is not responsible for Killrates way above 50%.
@Topic:
If anything, the Killrates indicate that playing Killer is not as bad as some people make it up to be. But thats about it.
Of course, this is highly subjective. But most of my solo matches result in an escape. Unless someone rage quits.
If you´ve never seen survivors instantly run to Freddy and then suicide on the hook, despite other survivors coming for the rescue, then you must be really lucky.
-
People suiciding on the first hook because they don´t like the killer/map/offering/weather/etc make the kill rates high.
