I feel there is a reason the entity is taking killers and survivors in the rate he is, he isn't getting the hope he needs, now currently there are 15 survivors all producing hope, this is odd because there are 2 known survivors of the last challenges, and we arent given much clue to how many more there could have been but taking a look at the universal perks they could be those of survivors in the void yet to fade or the last trial counting these perks taking in the consideration that each survivor gets 3 teachables that means other than vigo and Benedict there were 5 others so 7 survivors is low compared to our current 15, as you said it is a very old diety but why all of a sudden up your hope consumption? 17 (because vigo and benidict is still alive) survivors giving you hope that is more than double your last haul. It couldn't be because any aren't producing enough hope he could just dump them and get new survivors, So I submit that the entity can't collect hope as efficiently anymore, the Entity is dying he has reached his final millinia among us and he is trying to pull as much hope as possible to prolong and postpone his inevitable fate the void.

I might be thinking stupid, but if the Entity can constantly pluck people into his universe why would he ever be starved of hope? We have all the playable survivors, the survivors mentioned in perks and the survivors from the original PC trailer. As far as I can tell, there are more survivors than we could ever count.

Because it eventually dawns on Survivors that there's no way out. They lose all emotional response as the living nightmare they're in becomes the new normal for them. At that point, they're of no use to the Entity, so She casts them into the Void.

But there will always be more people to grab right? Also I heard someone say that survivors who lose all hope sometimes become killers, a few of the playable killers had to be forced to kill before they embraced it.

on the dbd wiki's page on the entity and read the the killers section (under the subtitle killers) it says '' Many Killers do not do so willingly, although some are happy to sate their Bloodlust. Some have to be tortured over endless years to be coerced into doing what The Entity wants.''.

This is correct, how else did The Trapper get those hooks into his skin? He didn't do it on purpose, this thing wanted him to kill, and he wouldn't do it because he was still loyal to his father, so then it took matters into it's own hands.

the trapper put the hooks in himself to keep the pain going to fill him with rage. read the trappers torso description. also i think the trappers mental state decade like his fathers and he was left with only a desire to kill and please his dad and later the entity (who probably became a farther like figure for trapper).

Nope. Proof in a live stream, Devs said, and I quote:

"47- WHY DID THE DOCTOR PRY HIS MOUTH AND EYES OPEN?
"Oh, no no no no, that's not how it works. Evan did not put the iron bars and hooks into his shoulder, and Sally did not choke herself with a pillowcase."
"They are not responsible for the unpleasant things that are happening to them."
    "

The hooks are a method of control I believe. The rage would prevent him from rationalizing.

i am missing so much [BAD WORD] lore. link me to the dev steams I've heard about or something because im saying ######### that makes sense to me just for it to be invalid because the devs said so. can we just not talk about lore anymore and talk about how Darth Vader should be a licensed killer.

Lel. I can do you one better.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/2402/every-lore-related-question-devs-answered-81-questions-and-some-answers-1#latest

    thanks.

if the entity hurts the killers who didnt want to kill, why does the trapper have the hooks but the wraith doesnt? out of the trapper and the wraith, the wraith seems less likely to want to kill but the trapper was tortured and forced and the wraith wasnt (from what it looks like).

He possibly was tortured in some way. Maybe mentally.

ok. but why was he gifted buy the entity if he needed to by tortured?

He needed a way to hunt down the survivors and I guess the Entity gave him the bell. I guess with the express instructions of, "Use this and hunt down your prey. Spare no one or pain will be brought to you."

that makes sense. what about the huntress?

The huntress has the mind of a child, she wasn't allowed to mentally develop therefore the entity doesnt need much to push her to kill

  • I'm just as it sets stubborn with on the watch, seems op if you are able to instantly heal yourself
  • Since your killer doesnt seem to get any information from his scarecrows (aura reading or notifications) until he actively teleports, he might even be on the weaker side.
He seems like the trapper with a very weak tracking tool added to him.

I like the idea though but it accidentily is very similiar to the Hell Ember of Identity V. You might want to look him up ;p

Balance wise i can add that adding vision to those scarecrows (notifications\ aura reading\change of the scarecrow aura) might get a bit too strong because of the number of scarecrows.

I ment to not give the extra scarecrow body's any aura reading so that an add-on would be needed to do that, I feel like the ability to use them to your advantage to completely "body block" an area causing survivors to hit dead ends left and right or to block off one side of a generator, block off some entrances to the KS? It's your bodies do with them as you want

Just gonna run, and vault this window. Dodge their frenzy like the amazing survivor I am and we are COOL. RIGHT?
That was how it was supposed to go!

But instead of vaulting the window, I got pulled in a locker that was barely on my screen! And then I jumped out and I was exposed because of Iron Maiden, and got downed instantly.

    [BAD WORD] #########

All I can ask is WHY. Why are there lockers near the windows? Why does the game automatically make me go into the locker when I am not even facing it?!

Feel proud, you actually found when Iron Maiden actually works.

Isnt iron maiden ment to discourage people from jumping In and out of lockers on Billy and LF?

Is that a good, or bad thing? I dunno what you're implying here.

I'm saying the perk should be stronger for the obsession but weaker if the person happens to not be the obsession I have an example of a "team oriented" obsession perk called spread the wealth

Sally had a mental breakdown and likely suffers from depression and PTSD due to her job. It's not uncommon for healthcare professionals to become depressed; in fact, they have the highest suicide rate out of any profession, IIRC.
Anna is a sociopath, of sorts. She feels no empathy because she was never given the chance to develop it, and she has no concern for societal norms because she was never taught them. Her mind is somewhere between that of a wild, predatory animal and a small child; she only cares about the very basics - food and shelter.

Anna also probably suffers from a social disorder as per her back story she couldn't understand various concepts like how to take care of the younger girls  (almost like the big guy from of mice and men)

Let me tell you all us Joeys are hunky just ask my fiancee, and yea probably a few spikes to go with cause you know joey strait up punk lol. A red skull mask would be awesome and a reverse color of his current mask.
  • Jake x Min in front of the generator
Lol and you know the wraith would be watching
  • SURVIVOR PERKS

The coven- the last 1/2/3 survivors you completed an action with become connected, connected survivors can see any aura the other sees (except those revealed by this perk), if either connected survivor has a map able to track those auras they are tracked on the map.

Eagle eyed- when look at an objective in a 10/15/20m range (with DLOS) that objective shows an aura.

Spread the wealth- increase chances of becoming obsession, when there are survivors within 10m of you (and you are the obsession) they gain a 15/20/25% boost to actions including sabotaging, cleaning and repairing, if you are not the obsession other survivors gain 9/12/15% boost to the previous actions when within range.

    KILLER PERKS

Growing Hunger- per survivor in your tr you gain a 3/4/5% increase in movement and action speed, your tr is decreased 8m while chasing a survivor but increased by a similar amount while not.

Give a Dog a Bone- when you successfully perform a grab (off gen, out of lockers or through windows and pallets) get a 10/15/20% increase to transport speed for 5s, -/-/the wiggle timer is paused for 3s.

Hex: tracker- any tracks left by a survivor (blood and scratch marks) are slightly/moderately/considerably increased, tracks left by survivors last 2 seconds longer.
  • This is actually quite nice could get through all the back story (nothing against you or the story) it was good though, like the killer ability, you called your survivor Gregory, and then proceeded to call him mike

Michael Myers is literally described as just pure evil. Frankie is the most evil out of all of them, and Susie is the least evil, because of her I would say they are not the most. But I would bet my left one on saying Michael is. The most evil unlicensed killer though, would have to be either Billy or Hag.

The vibe I’ve gotten from Susie’s description and how the devs have spoken about he rand Legion in the Making of, I feel like they were saying Susie is evil and the Legion is all about any imaginable person having that potential. Susie is the nerdy crazy girl who seems sweet but in the end actually holds psychotic tendencies.

She struck me as the nerdy girl, but her story said she was the most reluctant to stab the janitor, Frank forced her knife to stab him. The Legion art also showed Susie had the fewest kills by far. Before I forget. Susie's animations show her to look like she herself is scared and reluctant.

EDIT: Compare her animations to Frank or Joe's, Joe acts like it no longer really bothers him, Frank acts like he almost enjoys it a little.

I totally got that nerdy vibe from her too. I believe they described her as the nerdy weird girl. So I imagine someone eccentric but intelligent. I think she definitely has this sweet image to her that makes the irony of her personable demeanor being a guide to her truly more corrupt core. I think we was a sweetheart/kinder character, and I don’t think all of them would kill if given the choice. But I also think the entity would only choose people who are capable of being driven to that point or having been.

I remember how the entity was actually going for Rin’s Father as a killer, and when it sensed the drive for revenge it chose Rin instead to be a killer and dawn the mantle of the Spirit.

I think it would be cool to get a survivor who was a killer. And I think Susie could be a potential contender for that. She’s the most popular of the Legion, and it would be an interesting parallel. She would be the first person pulled in with the intention of being a killer, and struggling as survivor. It would imply she succumbed as a survivor and eventually took on the role of killer. I think it was add some tragedy to her story, and a reminder that all survivors eventually succumb.

I personally think Joey is the most popular of the four, purely based on his clothing. It is by far the coolest in my opinion, but we don't really know that much about Joey as a person.

We know the reason why most killers kill, Leatherface does it out of fear, Billy does it because he loves it. Myers does it because he is pure evil.

Why do Legion do it? Frank probably enjoys it, Julie doesn't really care, I don't know about Joey but Susie probably does it out of fear, perhaps fear that if the survivors get away they will tell the police about the murder of the janitor. The Entity could easily whisper that thought into their heads, there are multiple possibilities.

THANK YOU. Why the f#ck does every one call him f#ucking joe? Seriously it is JOEY he would prefer that name (coming from someone in a similar situation of wrong @ss names). But seriously as soon as i knew they named one of them joey I was like man I gotta get my hand on my game counter part, and then i saw the out fit and was like thank the god of develepers for bestowing upon ours this magnificent creation.
  • Dehitay said:

Legion has got to be the least evil of killers. Their lore was clearly a rushed effort cause if you think of how the entity operates, it makes absolutely no sense for it to take them into the fog. They killed all of one person and it was because they a mistake, not cause they were looking for a kill. Joe and Susie didn't even really want to do it. Julie's intentions were more of a do it for Frank mentality than a bloodlust. Frank is the only one who I would even consider worthy of the entity's consideration, but it took them all for reasons that don't fit the entity's mentality.

Actually lore state that for the most part the entity like killers it could twist to killing meaning it can.guide events to where people you'd never expect to kill to do it. The entity chose those 4

Yes. It’s in the name of the discussion.

Lol **** survivors flashlighting me to much, made me blind. But great concept but i feel it would do better with tr and the suvivor who tripped it gets exempt from the aura then you could boost the duration and give a small cool down. But that's just my thoughts. It's your perk so you could implement any or none of these thoughts

I like this killer concept, my only question is are the webs visible when fully grown because depending on the size of the web then this could easily be avoided making the killer weak.

And I am pretty sure the animation for the locker perk would just simply be opening it then closing it back. That way if a survivor is inside they will be captured.
Lol no the survivor in the locker is killed instantly haha
  • Hollowed crow- Lol I'm a crow and I'm so triggered cause a p3 Claudette is hiding behind my rock 😱😂😂
  • A good perk for this killer would be tier 3 insidious, 2 seconds and it looks like you switched to a new body just wait at a gen until that hidden surv comes back lol
  • Lone wolf would definitely become the staple again killers running discordance

Same here. Seems like we are birds of a feather.

Lol but seriously if you need me to explain the power just tell me which part confuses you

I guess just the whole power in general. From a gameplay point of view I doubt it would be really useful in a chase (unless you intend for this to be a stealth killer but I doubt that). But the power would be pretty unique all things considered, I just feel like you should give a option to place down the scarecrows so you have more control over where they are, unless changing consciousness leaves the current one in the last place you were. If that, then I find no problem.

Exactly you can use the bodies to your benefit, jump to a body (they will have collision so use them to block areas), just need to add something that keeps you from putting 2+ scarecrows within 5m of each other as this could be used to block off entire gens (definately would suck on lampkin)

Alright, then I have no problems with the power then. Thank you for clarifying.

Yea it is sort of like hag mixed with trapper, but they aren't traps just extra bodies (so ig you could throw legion in the ingredient list lol)

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 said: I said this on another thread but in my opinion the entity is coming to the end of it's life cycle, that's why so many new survivors are coming in (besides the fact that the devs need money), the entity feeds off of hope, so the only reason to bring new survivors in is if the hope is not enough. Meaning the survivors aren't putting out enough to sustain the entity, none of the current survivors haven't gone to the "void" therefore the only reason for it to bring more people is if it's need is growing or it can't hold hope like it used to. I imagine the entity as more of a growing thing. The reason it needs more "food" is because it's growing in power.

Yet it's been alive for centuries, how much more growing does it need to do?

That's the thing, is the entity might be able to live far longer than you might believe. A few centuries might not mean anything to this being.

If it is older say primordial old it only furthers my point.

But if the entity can live for thousands and thousands of years, than it might still be in a young stage, and that's assuming it ages at all, since time isn't much of an issue for it.

And finally you get to the argument I wanted you to bring up is the entity's time, yes the lore says the entity doesn't understand time, and it does show the ability to randomly move through time, but lore never asserts the entity is un-affected by time and lore does show that the entity goes through seasonal occurrences like lore states once every so often it has to go through the hallowed blight, which means it does go through some change through time meaning it must age.

The hallowed blight is a purge, not the sign of age. It kinda has to go through it. And it was never said to be a sign of aging. In fact, it was never explained what it was. The dev's even mentioned in a lore stream a while back that time is a fluid concept. There's nothing to say that it doesn't understand time, but there's also nothing to say that it ages. Sure it gets older but does it's body weaken with time? There's no indication that it does. In fact, in one of those lore streams the devs confirmed that the entiiy is growing in power.

Thanks for the info I never look at the dev streams
