I still have crossplay turned off. You're going into the options on the main screen, right? Not from the survivor or killer screens?

I think any hook broken with that perk should stay broken for the entire match. I know everyone would run it then, so to make it a little less op, it stops working when there are only 4 hooks left, so the killer can still hook survivors. Imagine the crying that killers would do, because they would actually have to do some work. Lol.
I'm curious what you mean by "because they would actually have to do some work." By "some work" do you mean slugging more? Using moris? Playing Pyramid Head and only using cages? Personally I don't think any of those sound like fun for either side, but maybe I'm the odd one out, here.
-
How the hell do you attack in lethal rush? That's what I want to know. The response time seems to be so slow that by the time he starts swinging the survivor is no longer in front of me, and it was so damn hard aiming at them in the first place it just feels like a real gut punch to swing at air after all that.
Is he better on PC? The frame drops, the low POV, and the way Bloodlust tanks the whole damn game make playing as him feel like total garbage.

Exactly! Michael, the wraith, ghostface and the pig are all already struggling compared to the more mobile characters and their entire power can be countered with one perk that requires zero survivor input. It's especially true of ghostface and the pig since michael at least can stalk survivors who know he's there and the wraith got some extra help with his buff last year giving him extra movement speed while cloaked.
I'd say in the majority of my matches I see three to four survivors running Spine Chill. I actually see it more than DS, and it affects me more than DS because I try not to tunnel off the hook whether or not there's an obsession. Spine Chill is good for countering Spirit who can't be seen, and it's good for knowing if that killer with a Terror Radius is heading for you or someone else, but it lets survivors counter stealth killers without having to pay attention to their surroundings which, I mean, why even play the game if you're just going to ignore one of the few horror aspects it has?
I still think Tier 1 Mikey suffers the most from Spine Chill. Ghost Face can crouch and lean and exposes survivors while in stealth mode. Piggy is low to the ground so she's harder to see and she has a dash attack. Wraith is partially invisible and has his lunge when he's uncloaking. But Mikey, he's standing tall and wearing a bright white mask; if the survivors bother to look around they can see him clear as day. He's slow, has no lunge, and has no Bloodlust. When he stalks survivors in Tier 1, they don't become exposed, he becomes un-Undetectable, which in some ways benefits survivors because now he has a TR and red stain. He has no way to get out of stealth mode by himself (unlike the other killers who can leave it at any time by pressing a button); he needs to stalk survivors to exit that stealth mode, he can't re-enter that stealth mode once he leaves it, and as I described he's weaker than other killers while in stealth mode. So, why the [BAD WORD] does Spine Chill work against him in Tier 1? It's looney.
-
Oh good, hooks are farther apart and there's a bug that means it takes me about 5 - 10 seconds repositioning myself in front of the hook spamming the button to get a survivor on it? Perfect! If the devs don't want killers to hook survivors, why don't they just remove hooks from the game entirely and be done with it?
-
I had no idea Ash was bugged.
However, I P3'd Ash. He's got all the unlocked perks on him. I can't just not use him because something is screwed up in the game once again. No, it's not cool for people to play as him because he's bugged, but it's also not fair to condemn players just for playing as him, either.
-
I don't want them to get rid of tier 1. I love tier 1. Maybe the devs could decrease the amount of stalking it takes to get out of tier 1?
Also, he should be immune to Spine Chill while in tier 1 like he was back in the old days. He's slow, he has no lunge, he doesn't get bloodlust; he shouldn't set off Spine Chill.

Are you aiming at their eyes or their chest? Did they change where we're supposed to aim?
Uh, I wouldn't know if they changed where to aim, I was terrible with flashlights before the new update; if I got a blind it was just luck. I think when I got the blinds the other day I was aiming somewhere around their neck or eyes, maybe?

That's great for you. The directly in the center isnt how they were at the start though and that's a fact. That's why it's so weird to me. Also on console due to the movement bug you like teleport when moving with your flashlight.
Huh, I haven't experienced teleporting when moving with the flashlight. I've teleported a bit otherwise here and there, though it's mostly frame drops that are the problem. And the rework to Badham has made it so ridiculously not smooth to play on.
I wish they'd give players something to help with aim, especially on console. Most games understand that on a giant TV screen pinpointing the center (or worse, some ridiculously illogical spot like to the right like with the old flashlights) with the needed accuracy takes assistance of some sort, usually a crosshair. This is one of the least player-friendly games I've ever seen, not helping players in needed ways and then changing things and not helping players adapt to those changes, either. The game's mechanics shouldn't be constantly changing and causing unnecessary handicaps to its players without any sort of assistance, especially when a lot of players are still trying to learn other aspects.
-
See? Freddy can see? I thought being literally blind was just part of his design.
Honestly, I've had matches go for quite a long time without seeing a single survivor; it would take one of them falling/staying asleep and glowing in their crappy little dark-corner-of-a-hiding-spot-that-wouldn't-work-against-any-other-killer before I'd get a chance to actually interact with anyone.
-
I want all but one of them to leave immediately, and the last one to wait for me to close the hatch before also running out.
It sucks when 2+ stick around until the last second so I'm stuck waiting on the map and then don't even get points for closing the hatch at the end of it. That just seems rude of them.
-
I have an easier time aiming the flashlight and getting blinds, now. Before when I had those Tome challenges, it took me sooooo many tries to actually get a blind off. But after the latest update, when I did the newest Tome blind challenge, it was like no effort at all. Aiming seems so much easier. I do wish the survivor's head wouldn't block the perspective, but even still the middle of the screen is a lot more intuitive than the weird arbitrary to-the-right aim it had before.
-
I can't stand The Blight's POV. Before I can even figure out his power, I have to play him as an M1 killer just to get used to feeling like my eyes are on my knees. I can't track for [BAD WORD] like that. I find a survivor, I start a chase, I quickly lose the survivor without ever even attempting to use his power because his POV is absolutely terrible. I don't even know what to do with that. It's just a miserable experience. So far I hate everything about him except his perks.
And I just go afk if I'm playing as him on Badham. That map is not smooth no matter who I play as, but as Blight? The frame drops are ridiculous, and the game is damn near unplayable if he hits Bloodlust. Screw that, I'd rather turn off my controller and conserve battery power for a match I can actually participate in.
I feel kind of bad playing as survivor against Blight. He always goes rushing past me. I step out of the way and it's just zoom! right by and he's halfway across the map before he can turn around and come back at me.
-
Yeah, I love this menu. I'm gonna miss it. I really wish we could choose from past menu themes.
-
I'll dodge lobbies when survivors have YT or TTV in their names. Otherwise, I usually don't care. It's easy enough to go afk during a match if I'm not having fun. Hell, even if I get a lobby with four Claudettes, I'll sometimes wander around the map looking lost pretending like I can't see them (I'm sure there's also a lot of times when I don't actually see them, too, which is fine, I'm just not interested in searching bushes). That's fun.
-
I'm on PS4 and these days I mostly play killer. After about a week I turned off crossplay and haven't turned it back on, since.
-
I've been playing almost exclusively Tier 1 Myers for weeks now. Stealthy without needing to meet a requirement, and survivors can't break me out of it. It's the only thing I find fun lately. Don't take that away from me.

Some killers leave you stuck there until the end of the match!
Yup, when I was playing survivor the other day I got stuck in the hill at the beginning of two different matches. Both times, the killer left me there while he slaughtered everyone else.
It sucked.
That is what feels like exploiting the glitch. Downing a survivor and hooking them is normal gameplay.

Not on PS4. Sony won't let games change their achievements unless the achievement becomes literally impossible.
-
I think she's miserable to play as. And, on PS4, most of the Nurses I've gone against are countered by just... running. I don't try to loop or anything fancy, I just run in a straight line and they either chase me while gens pop or they give up. The thing that really sucks about that is she falls so far behind neither of us get chase points.
I'm sure she can be good in the right player's hands, any killer can be, but it feels like trash to play her. Blinking is so damn disorienting and then there's fatigue on top of that plus she still moves super slow even though she's forced to wait for blinks to recharge.
-
A survivor doing a 360 causing them to disappear or aim dressing to yank the killer's camera in the wrong direction... that's not fun. Not for the person playing killer, anyway. It's extremely frustrating that playing on certain maps makes 360s more powerful due to killing the fps.
So, you talk about something not being fun for you and wanting to change it while also listing stuff that's not fun for the opposite side that you want to make more viable...
The role of killer needs to be fun to play as, not just against.

a great rework idea is to make his gun more accurate the longer you aim, for example when he starts aiming he begins with 25% accuracy and it takes like 3/4 seconds untill he gets 75-100% accuracy
That doesn't sound fun. You're requiring the killer to be crippled both ways, either with forced poor aim (which sucks in every game I've played that punishes players with RNG misses despite actually making a skilled shot) or by giving the survivor an extra 3 to 4 seconds in a chase. That while aiming the gun the controls feel crappy and he's slower only make it worse. Aiming the gun for an extended amount of time is not something players want to do.
-
One: don't speak for me. The moris are the only cool death animations in the game. The hook is boring.
Two: The hatch is there for a very healthy reason: to prevent the final survivor from holding the killer hostage on the map for an indefinite amount of time. They can't just "remove" the hatch, they'd have to change how other elements of the game work to prevent hostage situations after three survivors are dead while also not taking away any chance the final survivor has of escaping.

So you're asking for balance changes to a perk...so you can meme around?
The fun thing about being killer is being something out of a horror movie. The game's never going to be scary, but it could maybe take a step back from being dull. Spine Chill is great for countering Spirit; you can't see her. Spine Chill is great for helping with killers with a TR, because you know whether they're coming your way or preoccupied with something else nearby. Those killers are at full strength. Mikey's not at full strength in tier 1. He sacrifices speed and a lunge while still being totally visible, totally audible, to not have a TR and red stain. His one thing is that survivors have to stay vigilant, stay alert, and he may still get the opportunity to come around a corner and catch you by surprise. I'm working on a gen, moving the camera around to keep an eye on my surroundings, and then suddenly OHMIGOD he's staring at me from behind that tree how long has he been there?!
I mean, it's gotta suck for the survivors in those matches, too. Running Spine Chill and then it ruins any horror value against a spooky Mikey. Wow, woo, there's a little alarm and you Sprint Burst off and you never get a fun moment, just gens and leave. And if you're playing against a Mikey playing for real, he doesn't stay in Tier 1 for long, anyway, so his Spine Chill immunity and chances for spooky moments are a very small part of the match. Unlike Ghostface, Mikey doesn't go from full stealth to instadown while stalking. He goes from full stealth to no stealth to instadown. If survivors haven't noticed him stalking them while in tier 1, they'll discover he's around once he reaches tier 2. No more stealth, no more Spine Chill immunity, and he still has a ways to go before he hits tier 3.
Tier 1 Mikey used to be immune to Spine Chill. Using "consistency" as a reason for changing that seems kinda lame when the change makes things less fun for both sides.

Even if spine chill goes off survivors have no idea where to look, if you can't get a stalk off you're just bad and need to improve your hiding from sight skills.
I don't stalk, I just like walking around as tier 1 Myers. The only thing I wanna do is be spooky, but it sucks to spend most of my time crabwalking. And because of all the other ways the killer can be seen and heard, it's not like I even usually make it close to the gen before the survivors run off. There are a lot of matches where after two or three gens are done I just throw my hands up and go, "Well, maybe I can spook someone next time" and go afk.
-
Love Beast of Prey, sometimes I can see survivors get confused during a chase.
My favorite way to be undetectable is just to play entire matches as Tier 1 Myers. Walking across the map and survivors concuss themselves running into you as they turn a corner? Priceless.

@ZaKzan said:
killer should be able to open exit gates at any time of the trial. This would be the most elegant fix
As much as I think it's bs that the killer is basically a babysitter stuck in the match with no way out (unlike survivors, who can suicide on the hook), the ability to open the exit gates whenever would get abused so [BAD WORD]ing fast it's not even funny.
One of the problems is that the game has no built-in timers. It's a race against time if both sides are doing their objectives, but if a killer walks off during a match to get a snack and comes back 20 minutes later, the survivors could still be there not having completed a single gen and just screwing around. The game is very open-ended, which is great for me as lately I just want to get a few jump scares and then go afk while the survivors do five gens and leave, but a bit more structure would help make sure matches don't go on indefinitely.
-
Working on gens is boring. No survivor wants to sit and hold a button longer.
-
Tier 1 Myers shouldn't be detected by Spine Chill. He used to be immune to it, up until they decided to make killers "consistent." Tier 1 Myers is already slow, has no lunge, is totally visible, and everyone says they can hear his breathing from a mile away. Being countered by Spine Chill in tier 1 is just unnecessary.
-
Got stuck in the hill twice today and both times the killer left me there for the entire match... the killer got an easy 3v1 and I was stuck there unable to do anything. Fun. I wish they had fixed the damn hill glitch before re-enabling DC penalties.

Had this happen twice today. Both times, happened at the very beginning of the match and the killer left me there so the other survivors got slaughtered because I was trapped.

You don't get the right to complain about wanting to move on quickly if you're going to slug someone cause of DS.
The specific case I'm remembering, the survivor kept trying to goad me to chase him. He purposefully went down because he had DS and wanted to stab me. He was a higher rank survivor against a pretty crappy low skill low rank killer. He thought I was stupid enough to pick him up so he could stab me. I should really have given him what he wanted, proved him right that I was stupid? Slugging is the counter to DS. That's how the game was designed. That was my only option if I didn't want to get stabbed by someone who was celebrating that they were so obviously against a rank 17 killer.
I didn't design the game, I didn't make slugging the counter to DS. I can dislike the counter. I can also still use the counter because it's the only available option. And I can complain about the whole dumb thing as much as I want. I'm stuck playing the game as it is, not as I want it to be.
I actually think the dying state is a terrible game mechanic, because it's not fun at all as survivor to be bleeding on the ground unable to participate waiting four minutes to get out of the game and collect my points. However, the game is designed in such a way that there's no getting around putting survivors in the dying state, and slugging is sometimes unfortunately the best option.
-
Yes, killers have been asking for this for a long time. I'm not sure devs have ever acknowledged it, and the survivor response has been "but I need to do it to avoid Lightborn/Franklin's/moris. I shouldn't be punished for bringing in an item!" Their argument seems to hinge on the idea that four survivors bringing in extra advantages is part of normal gameplay but a killer preparing for said advantages is not. (Before I get a nasty response, let me say that both things are part of normal gameplay.)
Seeing a lobby last-second switch to three flashlights and a key against my newbie friend playing killer left a really bad taste in my mouth. Broken matchmaking was partially to blame for that, but only partially. Since then, my response to last-minute switching is ditching the lobby (if there's still enough time) or standing at the exit gate forcing them to do gens without killer interaction and leave.
On a related note, I amuse myself by running Lightborn at all times to frustrate anyone who finds a flashlight in a chest and thinks that no killer would be stupid enough to run Lightborn with no flashlights in the lobby. Hah! Gotcha.

Iron Will is op by the way, but depends how people use it... And iron Will is the counter against stridor by the way and it works well.
Iron Will is the counter to making injured noises as a survivor. Stridor is the counter to Iron Will.
(Stridor makes injured survivors 50% louder-it's additive, not a multiplier. Normal survivors have an injured volume of 100%; against a killer running Stridor, they have a volume of 150%. Iron Will survivors have an injured volume of 0%; against a killer running Stridor, they have a volume of 50%.)

I mean get WHY the console community's concerns would be lower than the PC... Id be willing to take a bet that the PC market brings in much more money on dlc and cosmetics compared to the console players.
Either way, well get your voice heard and make your concerns heard. At this point its all you can do.
The money thing is debatable. The console market is not small. I see a ton of players, not the same screen names over and over again, and I see licensed characters and auric-only outfits galore.
I can't find any numbers for Xbox stats, but I found these when looking for PS4 and Steam player counts:
https://gamstat.com/games/Dead_by_Daylight/

It doesn't say anything about amount of money spent per player or anything, but the PS4 community definitely ain't small. I don't think the console community's concerns should be lower than PC's.

Why pyramid head?
He can cage survivors. If you down a tormented survivor, you don't have to leave them slugged, nor do you have to pick them up to consume a hook state; you can cage survivors to avoid flashlight saves.
-
They really do need a console-only crossplay option for console players, but it'll probably never happen.
One of the things that really irks me about this, is I have come on this forum before talking about issues on console and some PC players have told me that basically problems on console don't matter, there aren't enough console players for our problems to matter, DbD is meant for PC, etc. etc. (Nurse is more difficult on console? Suck it up, she still needs a nerf. Scratchmarks don't appear properly? I don't believe you. Optimization should be prioritized? Your hardware can't handle it, just deal.) Basically, discriminating against console players. Now that console players are being used to try to improve PC queue times, I've seen in other threads PC players saying they shouldn't be discriminated against, it wouldn't be fair to have a console-only option.
Maybe if console players weren't treated like they don't matter so often they wouldn't be quite so annoyed by the state of things right now. Instead, it feels like, as always, PC gets priority.
Console players were already unhappy about the lack of optimization. It should've come before crossplay. It didn't. Instead, crossplay is adding fuel to the fire that is console players' annoyance at feeling shafted.
-
I actually keep Lightborn on 100% of the time right now because I'm lazy. Doesn't matter if there's no one in the lobby with a flashlight, I keep it equipped, and it never occurs to the ones who find a flashlight in a chest that they're against a killer who came with Lightborn just in case. It's fantastic.
Your main options are Lightborn, Franklin's Demise, trying to face walls, slugging, and/or playing as Pyramid Head.
-
I don't think there's anything quite as boring in this game as standing over the very last survivor left waiting out DS for 60 seconds. I follow them if they crawl on the ground or I just stare as they spin at my feet. I am appreciative if they lead me to the hatch so I can get the bonus BP for closing it, but that's not really worth all the extra time I've spent hanging out on the map when we could've already moved on and been starting a new match.
-
I just assume that Blendettes don't want to interact with the killer. I rarely play to kill, anyway, so I don't need to find them; I won't look for them and I'll turn and walk in the opposite direction if I do see them. I want to give them what they want, which is obviously to work on gens uninterrupted.
For players who prefer to play stealthy and not be found, a surprising number will chase me around the map trying to get my attention and even disconnect. It leaves me very confused; why would they play as Blendette if they want me to see them?
(If I am playing to kill, then Blendettes basically force me to tunnel them out. Why? Because once I've caught them, who knows when I'll next see them? I can't risk never finding them again. That's just smart playing. Blendettes force the killer's hand in that way. More than any other player, Blendettes will go immersed and stop working on gens, crouching around the edges of the map, never to be seen again. You can't imagine how absolutely pissed I was last week, after an early hook suicide, when a Blendette left the other two survivors remaining to do all the gens while she did nothing but hide. Not. Cool.)
-
Spirit can run aura perks but can't see auras while phasing.
Wouldn't the easiest solution just be to disable Stridor for Spirit while she is phasing? The change wouldn't affect other killers negatively, and if there's suddenly a huge drop in its usage then maybe in the future BHVR will rework the perk to be better all-around. But it seems silly to change a perk entirely when the one thing people are complaining about is a very specific usage case.
I'm not saying this should be done; I'm just saying this is a more reasonable request than outright nerfing a pretty lackluster perk.
-
@nursewannabe said:
She doesn't need a compensation, playing her like that is literally like playing her without stridor, which brings me back to what I said on the first post: if you need stridor on spirit you're just absolutely terrible
That doesn't make any sense. Playing without Stridor isn't the same thing as playing without being able to hear injured survivors.
Injured survivors make noise. Normally, that noise is at a volume of 100%. With tier 3 Stridor, the volume of injured survivor noise is 150%. You keep saying not being able to hear injured noises at all, which would mean injured survivors have a volume of 0%. Playing with the volume at 0% is nothing like playing with the volume at 100%.

What's the difference between changing stridor and making her unable to hear survivors while phasing? Mind, I'm talking about grunts of pain and breathing. It's literally the same thing.
In your title you say "at all." That implies any and all noises a survivor makes: grunts of pain, breathing, footsteps, everything.
But still, going by just grunts of pain and breathing... the difference is that killers can hear injured survivors without running Stridor. If you just disable Stridor while phasing, survivors' grunts of pain would no longer be amplified, but unless the survivor is running Iron Will then they'd still be audible. Disabling Stridor and making a killer deaf to all injured survivor sounds are not the same thing at all.
-
Before disabling sound for Spirit, I'd like the devs to fix the game so I can actually locate anything by audio ever. I keep seeing other people talk about this ability and it sounds amazing.
And before anyone tells me it's just me, it's not. Maybe it's a PS4 thing, but it's not isolated to only me. I usually play with the game on mute these days because the audio is more confusing than helpful. And it sucks. I can still see the survivors... well, sometimes, kinda, depending on the map... but anyway in theory I can see them and it's still awful to play killer like that. Spirit can't even see survivors while phasing, so that would suck double for her.
You're complaining specifically about Spirits who run Stridor. Even the ones who don't run Stridor probably still use sound to play. Spirit can't see auras, she can't see survivors, she can't see blood... she can see scratchmarks (which are often late and/or broken) and grass move (and grass is constantly moving on its own, anyway)...
Stridor is there to counter Iron Will, because most things in the game have some sort of counter. Rather than make Spirit deaf on top of blind while phasing, though, I'd rather see Stridor get changed to have a different effect. Or make Stridor like aura perks, it specifically doesn't work while Spirit is phasing.
-
I'm on PS4, and I'll often spectate after dying or escaping just out of curiosity.
Personally, I do not want to see post-game chat come to PS4. I've played a bunch of online games, but it is specifically DbD that led me to turn off messages and friend requests.
It would be pretty useless on PS4, anyway, as you wait five minutes for someone to type "gg" with their controller and the crappy onscreen keyboard. It would be a way for PC players to talk at console players more than it would be an avenue for worthwhile two-way communication.
I would just disable end-game chat if it were added.

This is true
l play clown and when l hit console survivors with a bottle and then m1, the low FPS kicks in and they just charge off into a tree or something, without having any control.
Wait... do people on PC have control after being hit? Not joking, I thought running into trees/walls after getting hit was the unavoidable norm as a survivor.
-
I play on PS4, and I almost never run Kindred because it often results in me dying on my first hook against non-camping killers. Kindred is great for making hook saves myself, but somehow things all go wrong when I'm the one on the hook.
-
Beware of Tier 1 Mikey: he has no Terror Radius. I like to play entire matches in Tier 1, and if I'm chasing a survivor and they decide to go for a hook save mid-chase anyway, I'll damn well down the unhooked person (and usually leave them for someone else to pick up, I'm not a monster) just to take away the very undeserved safe hook save.
Borrowed Time will also not activate if you're asleep when up against Freddy; he technically does not have a Terror Radius when the survivor is asleep. Borrowed Time won't activate if you make a hook save and then the Hag teleports to the trap that triggered next to the hook. Borrowed Time won't activate if the Spirit doesn't phase on top of you until after the person is pulled off the hook. Some killers can make their Terror Radius super tiny or nonexistent with perks and add-ons. There may be a glitch where sometimes Borrowed Time doesn't activate when it should (a glitch in DbD?! the shock!) but there are a lot of times it won't trigger by design. If you don't hear the killer's heartbeat, Borrowed Time isn't going to trigger.
If you play and have instances where it's definitely not working as intended, try to record those instances and submit them in bug reports.
-
I dunno what it's like to play as a survivor on PS4 against a PC killer, because survivor queues still aren't instant so I only bother like once a day, but...
It's kind of annoying to play killer and see four little global symbols in my lobby. It feels like my platform is being used to ease queue times for other platforms, and it doesn't benefit me because I had instant queue times as killer on PS4 before crossplay was enabled. Survivors on other platforms get the benefit of faster queues but as killer I didn't get anything except the possibility of going against opponents with better fps. Crossplay didn't come with/after console optimization. It also didn't come with cross-progression for PS4 and Xbox (and apparently cross-progression for these platforms may never come), which is the cross-progression most wanted because many console players would like to try out the better fps PC players get to enjoy. Many console players are pissed off.
I have gone afk so many times in the middle of a match because of the ridiculous number of frames the game will drop, especially as Doc. What fun, to chase a survivor, finally be ready to go for the hit, and then suddenly frames drop and it's worse than if they had used Dead Hard, not to mention it can happen numerous times in once chase. Seeing that 90% of my lobbies aren't even PS4 players anymore means I'm less likely to fight through the pain of bad framerates. We're all trying to play for fun, and that crap ain't fun to play through. Just an FYI for any survivors wondering why a killer may have quit/gone afk with four gens left: fps matters.
Edit: As an aside, a lot of survivors on console have figured out how to use aim dressing and the bad framerate against killers. Going against PC killers means this works less often, which may be part of the reason console survivors don't like crossplay. Just a theory.

I turned off messages from non-friends and I disabled friend requests (oh yes, you will get friend requests with angry messages attached). Life is better that way.
If you leave messages on, feel free to respond politely (without profanity or name calling) or totally ignore them, and certainly report them if they use profanity or any sort of slurs. Kids of all ages use Playstation, so Sony doesn't shrug that stuff off.
Really, though, I got hate mail for killing survivors and friend requests for not killing them. Both got annoying; having them turned off feels better. I enjoy knowing that survivors are stewing in their impotent rage after they screw up horribly and get sacrificed. (I never got messages from killers when playing survivor, so that's a non-issue. I did get messages from other survivors, though... usually because they were mad I didn't die trying to save them. Again, messages being turned off = good.)
