And people say this map is killer sided lmfao.

Iron Will is trash. Killer can just turn up their headphones to counter it
I mean, if your goal is to go deaf, then sure.

There is no point using a perk that's meant to mute noise if it DOESN'T actually mute noise. I still hear iron wills when I play killer.

No, it sucks.
Tell me you didn’t read the post without telling me you didn’t read the post.
@ShinobuSK said:
Making it 75% was enough. Double nerf completely killed it for me. Same with Ruin
Difference is though that Iron Will still functions completely fine as a stealth perk and a way to confuse the killer in chase provided you play a specific one or done use one at all. Ruin doesn’t even work as good regression when it’s only 100% speed and is a Hex.
-
Yeah, but the map still sucks ass.
-
Because I want to have fun. I’m usually willing to take on most lobbies I see, but sometimes I want a chill match that won’t annoy me and I’ll dodge lobbies that look like they’re not going to provide that experience. No matter what though, comp/clan players will probably always be an instant dodge for me as they are generally not nice people.
-
I don’t know why this thread was necrobumped, but I’m just gonna express my opinion: This was literally one of the stupidest nerfs they’ve ever done, even dumber than the Eruption nerf since that one deserved a nerf, while Thana didn’t. Perk was insanely overrated and overused after its buff, and instead of ignoring the complaints and just letting the hype settle down on its own, they gave in and completely ruined it for everyone, including the only two killers it was good on. Even if you really want to argue that a nerf was necessary, I don’t understand why they couldn’t have just lowered the numbers to 4% instead of this crap they call a perk. Completely unplayable post nerf, and it’s a damn shame. I’d love if they could revert this, but survivor mains would never allow that.
-
Assuming it is actually on the chopping block, it’ll likely lose either the blanket healing speed bonus, or the ability to self care in the boon without a medkit. I don’t see them just changing the numbers like before.

They are literally gonna release another trash weak killer whose only purpose is to force a 3gen but you continue to ignore the problem of gens spawn. Wake up
So how do you propose to fix the “problem” then? Like I said, any map is going to have 3 gen potential unless every map is absolutely gigantic which would heavily skew the game into survivor’s favor. It’s your responsibility as a survivor to avoid 3 gen scenarios as much as possible, and even when the killer is hardcore defending them at the start, they are still perfectly beatable, especially without Eruption.
-
Make Unrelenting reduce the cooldown of basic attacks again, but not stack with other reductions and maybe I’ll give it a try.
-
People still whining about 3 gens after Eruption was killed? 3 gens are almost always going to happen no matter what, unless every map is Mother’s Dwelling size. Not to mention maps like Haddonfield, RPD, and Lery’s are heavily survivor sided, with the 3 gens being their only saving grace. Rebalance gen speeds and maps and stuff and then we can talk about making the 3 gen strat less prevalent.
-
I don’t know about worse, but it’s hardly better at all, and I almost feel cheated since most of what they said they’d change basically didn’t happen. There’s a filler pallet at shack that easily chains to a jungle gym, 2 pallets on the side of main that also chain to a jungle gym, barely any more grass or anything to hide traps, and literally just two new tiles that spawn on specific parts when I was expecting them to replace at least some of the many braindead safety pallets that plague the map. Very disappointing rework, which also tells us that any other “reworks” likely aren’t going to fix any of the issues with maps.
-
Then what would you suggest for a nerf? It can’t heal that quickly because with how much distance you gain from these perks the killer will literally never have a shot at downing you before it elapses making the only counterplay tunneling off 2nd hook. That whole injure ######### might as well not exist since you’ll be healed back up in no time.
-
Overpowered af. People trying to justify it are incredibly laughable. Perk literally erases all your pressure and potential to snowball just because they finished the last gen allowing them to greed the last gen when injured especially when Resilience and Dead Hard reward not healing. Also ridiculous in SWF who can coordinate gens appropriately or when multiple of them have it. Perk should not heal a health state, Adrenaline robs you of so much pressure and snowball potential just because of that.
-
I’d expect one eventually, honestly.

I don’t either. I usually have somebody down in the first 30 seconds of the game, so it’d be a complete waste of a perk slot.
Still forces the survivors to spread out a little and spend some time looking for gens, so it’s still worth it even in those cases, imho.
-
Perk single-handedly changes the entire way you play the game regardless of if they even have it or not.

Old DH didn't have a 'literally only once per trial' stipulation.
Old DH’s dash also didn’t last for 3 seconds. Idk why you’d argue once per trial means anything either, if you can’t see the immense value you gain from a 99’d SB at will, then I can’t help you.

Killer Mains complain about too many DHs. BHVR releases a Perk which works with other Exhaustion-Perks and NOT with DH --> Also not good.
Sigh.
Because obviously a perk that turns the 2nd best Exhaustion perk into old DH is great design.
Groan.

I think Bloodrush is basically meant to counter tunneling. It just seems like it’s supposed to help a survivor being tunneled out. Tbh it’s just a weaker form of Adrenaline.
Blood Rush literally turns Sprint Burst into old Dead Hard, but better. It’s gonna punish people who don’t tunnel and do nothing for people who actually want to tunnel.
-
Lol and people were saying no one would complain about these after Eruption was gone.
-
I absolutely hate the design of this perk. Did they not learn anything from old BT?
-
I mean, I’ve played a majority of my games without Eruption, and have done fine. I don’t think losing it will be as bad as you think. Now if CoB or Pain Res get nerfed next midchapter, then I’ll agree that there’ll be no good slowdown left to run. But for now, we should be fine. Furthermore, two of those new perks you’re talking about suck really bad. Literally Deja Vu and Quick & Quiet are better than those two. Blood Rush though, yeah, that’s gonna be a problem.
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
Lol I just realized, sprintburst > exhausted > blood rush into sprintburst > health state healed before the killer can catch up. Tho it will only work once per game so I don't think it's amazing
Considering the immense value you’ll gain from that, I think it’s well worth it, especially when you’re on dead hook, where it’s most important to stay alive.
-
Literally the worst chapter I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been playing since OG RE dropped.
-
Cool, still doesn’t change the fact that it was overnerfed, but survivors probably wouldn’t have been happy if that didn’t happen.

Part of the reason original Ruin was nerfed was because it unfairly punished newer players whilst not really slowing experienced players down at all.
This is literally the EXACT same thing that Overcharge does currently. Experienced players can hit the skill check somewhat consistently, while new players have zero hope of doing so. Add on the increased penalty for missed skill checks and you have an incredibly unfriendly perk.
Ruin was also passive, required 0 effort from the killer to get it to work, was harder to succeed, and was constant as opposed to one and done. They’re hardly comparable.
-
It’s crap dude. Literally everything else does its job, but better.

I mean I understand you're trying to be petty..but actually use things survivors have actually complained about.. just a tip if you’re going to troll
I mean, they’re going to after this release. Especially when killer’s will still play long 3 gen games with CoB OC NWTH, everyone will whine about how OP CoB is and that it needs to be nerfed, limiting to once per gen and not being able to stack with OC or something. Mark my words.
-
They haven’t released a good map since Dead Dawg, so no, it’s not just you, especially when the last 3 released haven’t just been bad, but god awful trash. Hoping Mother’s Dwelling will get shrunk with the Realm Beyond update.
-
No aura reading, no Incapacitation, no gen block, but 15% total (not current) progress removed would’ve been the way to go, imho. Still would be a handy perk for defending gens, but not in an unfun, uninteractive way.
-
It doesn’t even improve the solo que experience that much when you can still get bad teammates who drop like flies or do nothing productive. Not to mention the type of information you get in a SWF still trumps these icons. This just makes solo que a little more bearable.
-
Even if they take Eruption out the game.. survivors are going to complain about something.. next it will be nerf Call of Brine.. then nerf Pain Res.. then "it should be a 5v1 not 4v1"... "why do killers move faster"... "killers shouldnt have perks"... survivors are the strongest they ever been and ya still complain
-
It honestly was, but I don’t think it’s completely dead, just outclassed by superior perks atm. With the additional 2.5 progress that’s always taken off, Pop still has some kick to it. Just not as much, obviously.

“the best players get use out of it”
I think it’s fair if the best players are able to use it well. By your logic, it’s like saying we need to need trapper because somebody plays them well.
A 99’d SB will get you the same extension that a DH will.
I mean, you say that, yet it didn’t stop Nurse from getting nerfed, so.

It’s pre-nerf Selfcare with Botany and that wasn’t good either, lest you forget. Thanatophobia is extremely good on Plague, Legion, and, well, now that the mangled status is bugged, pretty much any killer with perks/add-ons that inflict a mangled status. Ruin stinks but is outclassed by other Gen regression perks that do its job without the drawback of being hex totems. Eruption isn’t bad.
It’s the same speed as old Self Care Botany. Thana’s only usable on Plague, but far outclassed by virtually everything else. The reason the perk is trash on everyone including Legion is because you need all 4 survivors injured in order to get value, which will never happen, especially when medkits and boons exist. Don’t know why you’d bring up a bug that’s already been fixed as a “strength” lmao. Idk how you could argue Eruption isn’t trash when aura reading in that instance is pointless and it legit inflicts less damage than a failed skill check in virtually every circumstance.

"Self-Care good"
Gonna stop ya there
With Botany, yeah. Maybe not good, but not completely dead unlike the killer perks I mentioned.
-
“Survivors don’t like regression” you mean. Next midchapter we’ll be in huge trouble cause there’ll be literally no good gen perks to run, cause there ain’t no way Call of Brine or Pain Res make it out alive.
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
I like how nobody mentions Corrupt or Pain Resonance when they say every killer meta perk got gutted.
I also like how nobody mentions Iron Will, Spine Chill or Self Care when they say the Survivor meta gets some kind of special protection.
Iron Will still provides near silence, just not as much especially when it can turn itself off. Spine Chill only lost its Resilience synergy. Self Care’s still good with Botany. Meanwhile, Ruin, Thana, and Eruption have been so heavily nerfed that’s there’s absolutely 0 reason to consider using them anymore when there’s dozens of other perks that do their job better.
-
Nah, it’ll be Call of Brine which is absolutely gonna get nerfed in the next midchapter update regardless of what happens next. I predict Overcharge will skyrocket in play causing it along with Call of Brine to be the next most hated perks (“They take no skill and cause games to last forever”), making Overcharge fly under the dev’s radar as “meta” and be butchered right next to Call of Brine.
-
If not even trying to nerf perks to still be usable is their goal, then there’s absolutely no reason to not give the same treatment to DH. We’ve lost Ruin, Thana, and now Eruption while all the nerfed survivor perks are still usable unlike those pieces of crap.
-
Honestly, it won’t even be Pain Res that’s complained next. It’ll be Overcharge taking the place of Eruption, which will cause people to complain heavily about that and CoB, saying how they’re costless and take no skill, especially when killers still play 3 gen games, which will cause Overcharge to spike in usage, be flown into the dev’s radar as meta, and nerfed to worthlessness alongside CoB. Yes, Overcharge, a perk that’s been out for over 5 years, and has never seen any sort of play until recently, nerfed to be even worse than before, and thrown back into the trash never to be used again like it was for several years before its buff. Even if I’m exaggerating, there’s no way Call of Brine makes it out alive when it’ll 100% get nuked in the next mid chapter update.
-
Nobody with a brain will. Want regression? Use literally anything else, even Jolt. Want aura reading? Again, use anything else. I’m honestly impressed how bad it is now.
-
Surprise surprise, perk is complete trash now. It’s so funny, replacing the Incapacitation with aura reading would’ve been enough to kill the perk, but they had to beat the dead horse by lowering regression to 10% of current, when it should’ve been buffed instead. Do they realize how small and insignificant that is? Perk’s legit only good for aura reading, which you wouldn’t even run for that when there’s billions of better aura reading perks that are more practical and don’t require set up. Horrible change. Only people praising this are salty survivor mains who got clapped by this one too many times. Scared to see what else they decide to nerf.
-
Miss you.
-
Original chapter with a giant spider killer is all I want.
-
I’ve played against that P90 before. They’re not that good. You’ll be fine.
-
Maps and RNG are the issue which Windows highlights, yes. However, the people who act like the perk’s not that good or only used by newbies are just wrong. Knowing exactly where pallets and windows are is some insanely strong information, allowing the survivor to know exactly where to take chase to or whether they should hold w or stick to their current loop, which can make a huge difference in going down instantly oe not. It’s strengths are especially apparent on indoor maps where pallets are easy to miss or know if they’re used up. That being said though, I don’t think the perk needs a nerf.
-
Normally I’d say this is a good thing as BHVR’s notoriously bad when it comes to designing good and balanced maps, but assuming swamp is the next one to get reworked, I already know that they’re gonna ruin that one and keep the streak of dog water maps going. Who’s ready for Pale Rose to become Gideon 2.0?
-
Without a complete rework, DH will never be fair, and if they’re not willing to rework Nurse from the ground up, they won’t do it to DH. I am hoping for something though, like the effect providing less value or having more of a cost to it, otherwise I will be very frustrated when I know for a fact that the killer meta perks will be heavily nerfed.
-
If it’s an original killer, can I get that giant spider that’s been hinted at becoming a killer?
-
I played a bunch of killer a few days ago, and hardly noticed a difference. Felt like the exact same game to me. Yeah, there were still losses, but nothing I could really blame or say for sure were cause of the HUD changes. Likewise, my solo que games have still gone bad cause I have gotten teammates who aren’t very gen efficient or good in chase which caused us to lose, or play for hatch.
