ITT - People getting mad that people do what’s necessary to win.

Good. Gen kick meta is boring and probably one of the worst things to ever come to this game.
Bring back Pop Goes the Weasel, bring back Ruin + Undying. The games were a lot more fun, because the killer had to be chasing survivors to secure the win.
Now? You can just stand in your 3 gen for 20 minutes and take potshots until someone goes down.
Yeah, but this is BHVR we’re talking about. We’ll lose gen kick and get nothing in return.
-
People like you are going to be the reason we lose Call of Brine and Overcharge and I don’t like that.
-
I’ve had 9 games, and gotten 5 Skull Merchants, 1 Bubba, 1 Myers, 1 Spirit, and 1 Doctor. Overall, definitely seems like a lot less hype for this than others.
-
It’s like they’re deliberately trying to make us run the same perks.
-
I might be overreacting here, but this change needs to be reverted immediately. If they can do that to flashlight timing and MoM, then they can do it here cause this is absolutely ridiculous.

people havent complained about cob and pain in a long time people dont really care about those since they have fair counterplay after all.
People hate 3 gens. CoB and Overcharge incentivize that strat. Expect outcries and nerfs.
-
Oh yeah, let’s nerf bad perks no one uses cause why not. We wanted perk variety, but who cares, nerf bad perks. Absolute sense.

I mean if you think she's the worst killer than...a killer with decent gen pressure and a good chase tool doesn't sound very weak. Like just because she has to use an M1 to injure a survivor doesn't mean she's a trash killer with no ability like everyone seems to think. Locking down large areas of the map and having 100% constant reads in those areas is a pretty decent ability. She needs buffs I will agree but she's very far from weakest when we have killers like Pig who have NO chase power besides a crouch which hurts you to use more than it helps.
Want gen pressure? Play Hag or Knight. Want to one shot people? Oni, Billy, Bubba, Myers, Ghostface. Be undetectable to sneak attack people? Wraith, GF, Pig. Track people? Doctor, Legion. There’s literally nothing she does that other killers can already do, and she does them so much worse. And I’d definitely rather play Pig over her. At least Pig’s RBTs can slow down the game, and her ambush while weak is something to help in chase. Skull Merchant has nothing to aid her. Even Trapper’s bear traps are more effective in helping him get downs than Merchant’s drones.
-
Meh, I never really used it, didn’t like going against it, and all the killers and strats you listed should be fine as long as Call of Brine and its buddies Overcharge and Nowhere To Hide are left alone.

She is very far from worst why not actually try to learn her instead of judging based off a few days worth of commentary from youtubers who dropped her after day 1?
I played her myself in the PTB, so I know for sure that she’s terrible.
-
The reason they haven’t done anything about the “cheap tactics” is because it’s almost impossible to implement such measures without them being abused, especially against people who don’t tunnel/camp.

With eruption reworked, holding a 3 gen is a bit weaker on killers all around. And her exposed power at least incentives her to chase the survivor if she has a 3 gen unlike knight who will just leave a guard there then leave.
But im looking forward to this chapter. New perks, new powers, new ways to interact with each other during a match.
It’s still very strong and viable with just Call of Brine, add in Overcharge and Nowhere To Hide and you can definitely still hardcore protect your 3 gens. The fact that they released another 3 gen based killer worries me that there’ll be even more complaints about the strat which means Call of Brine and possibly even Overcharge won’t be lasting too much longer.

The devs buffed killers in 6.1 to be faster, break pallets faster and they nerfed surv perks like ds and self care into the ground. They took away the locker flashlight saves. They nerfed flashlight turn on speeds because of "epilepsy" but everyone knows it was really because killers got tilted at clicking. They tried to nerf eruption but couldn't even stick that one out completely. My guy. The devs ARE killer mains. Eruption is literally impossible to wait out because it depends on someone else's actions most of the time out of view. Dh is just between the killer and the survivor. If the killer doesn't wait it out for a literal split second, and yes, its literally a split second because 1 second was too long for killers in the ptb, thats on them. Just like missing your dh is on the survivor. You guys wanted the dh nerf, you got it with 6.1. Why are you STILL complaining that its OP.
Dude, Eruption’s dead as balls now. What are you talking about?
-
Honestly, while it made Eruption unique, it really should just remain exclusive to killer powers and not perks as its been shown that there’s no middle ground with the status effect where it can be good without being broken. If it’s too short, then it’s not worth using (Weighted Hatchet, pre-buff Eruption) and if it’s any longer then it’s completely unfair (post-buff Eruption).
-
I shouldn’t have to hesitate every time before I swing.
-
I mean, both mechanics were kind of a failure, so that’s my guess as to why they haven’t released any more.

Usage rates are stats. All you're showing is that you're completely hypocritical.
Stats only seem to matter when they benefit you. As soon as they go against you it's, "Most players are bad, those don't matter we can't use them."
Just admit you dislike the maps
And I explained why the stats are garbage. I don’t need stats when I have common sense. Last I checked, didn’t Cowshed have a 50% escape rate? So I guess using your logic, that map is totally fair and balanced then.
-
If I want to play the worst killer in the game, I could just do it for free by playing Trapper. No reason to spend money here.

We can throw out DH stats and start nerfing Killers then if those stats don't matter.
Very silly position to take, it'd be easier to admit you were wrong and that you, on a personal level, dislike those maps.
DH is still the #1 most used and will easily go back to its old usage rate if left untouched. Common sense would tell you it’s unbalanced either way. Get out of here with these crappy strawmans.

Dude, I sympathize about your hate for DH, but Eruption was WAY more busted than DH ever was. Those two perks are way apart from being comparable to each other
Nah, they’re practically the exact same. They both screw you over just for the playing the game which is why they’re both incredibly unfun to go against.
-
Didn’t some guy say he wanted to see more DH discussion posts? That probably means DH is currently not on the radar to get changed anytime soon. Which is ridiculous.

You are allowed to hold the wrong opinions.
Every stat we've gotten has said that you're outrageously wrong
”Stats” don’t mean anything when a majority of this game’s players suck ass and over inflate the kill rate lmao.

@Pulsar said:
Most of the MacMillan and Autohaven maps are Killer-sided I feel, besides Gas Heaven and Groaning Storehouse.
RPD is probably Killer-sided but the map is just miserable, Midwich is Killer-sided.
I think Lery's is Killer-sided as well, though perhaps Killer-leaning would be more accurate. I think the same of The Game, depending on the Killer.
You already mentioned Dead Dawg
Lol. RPD is a hold W fest with braindead safe pallets everywhere, Midwich is a hold W fest, Lery’s has an infinite in its main room with pallets and windows literally everywhere. Game has braindead safe pallets literally everywhere. And I haven’t even mentioned RPD and Midwich’s terrible hook spawns.
TLDR: Every indoor map in the game is garbage for killer.

But DH can have its value negated while SB can't. DH is just more demoralizing than SB.
In terms of strength DH and SB are on par. Imo
They are, but DH is more frustrating to face cause it changes how you play the entire chase.
Speaking of Blood Rush though, that should’ve been nerfed, as its design is atrocious and will make SB very annoying to face. Expect to see a lot of it if DH is nerfed.
-
“DH is easy to counter” “DH takes skill to use”
Could literally use the same arguments for Eruption which was regarded as easy to use, and impossible to counter, so why do people insist DH is any different? BHVR needs to stop with perks whose existence change how you play the game regardless of if it’s even in the loadout. DH may not even be as bad as before, but its design is #########. 3rd health state/chase extender you can only counter by waiting before swinging is not healthy or fun period.

Thought of that too.
I hope the movie doesn´t suck completely.
With very few exeptions (SH1 was mostly good and i like the Sonics) video game movies are pretty bad. Hollywood just doesn´t get it and always tries "their" thing.
I think you could make some really fun and scary movies out of DbD if they hire someone with a bit of knowledge.
What these guys said. Unless by some miracle it’s actually good, I’m passing on it.
-
Unlike most people, I don’t mind her power and lore, although I do understand why other people hate it. The issue for me is her power. She’s the first killer with legitimately nothing to help her in chase, and all three gimmicks of her drones are so bad, pointless, and done better by other killers/perks that it’s pitiful. Tracking’s cool, but she’s just an M1 killer so she can’t do anything meaningful with that information, she doesn’t even have mobility to quickly shoo survivors away from that area for god’s sake. Aside from undetectable being weak enough as is, she also uses it in the worst situation imaginable. What good is that really gonna do for you when it’s only good in a drone, essentially when you have to wait 2 seconds for it? Way too predictable and downright underwhelming. Exposed is a cute way to punish survivors for staying in a drone’s area for too long without hacking it, but again, it’s tied to an M1 killer with no mobility, so how good is it really gonna do you when you have no chase power, or if they’re injured? I think she easily overtakes Trapper as the worst killer in the game, no cap. Trapper’s bear traps may have their issues, but I think they do much more than Skull Merchant’s drones, such as effectively shutting down a loop to help him in chase.
-
Dredge is garbage. He may do “a lot”, but it’s a whole lot of nothing.
-
Lol, you guys can’t possibly be serious about nerfing an already weak killer whose addons are mediocre enough as is.
-
DS wasn’t even supposed to be 5 seconds for as long as it did. Only went to that duration cause old Enduring would shorten the time, they just never reverted back until way after Enduring was reworked.
-
Skull Merchant’s the only correct answer. First killer with legitimately nothing to help her in chase.
-
Most likely gonna be trash, so definitely passing on this one.
-
Nah, it’ll be Call of Brine. People will complain that it’s “uninteractive”, “unfun”, “takes no skill”, and “wins games killers shouldn’t win” and BHVR will kill it appropriately.
-
Lol Coulrophobia nerf.
-
I literally made a thread about it not too long, but Iron Will is still good and people who say otherwise have never given the perk a try and it shows. “It’s not good if it doesn’t make you completely silent.” “Just turn your headphones up to counter it.” Lol.
-
I would like to, but in all honesty, I really just can’t justify it. While I don’t mind the character herself, her power is drop dead terrible, her perks are trash with the only usable one being gimmicky at best, and the two survivors are also just not interesting with all, but one perk that’s actually good. Only good things to come out of this chapter are the map updates and Eruption nerf.
-
So the unhooked survivor can get a guaranteed free flashlight save that the killer can do literally nothing about?
-
Flashlights are probably the weakest item in the game so survivors are honestly helping you win when they bring them in.
-
I play her cause Iri Tape is busted and makes her actually very solid. Spamming your ability not only allows for condemned kills, but great map pressure too.
-
I agree with the 1st one, but not the latter two. Pinging locations would be bad as it’s too much information, especially for SWF and it’d completely eliminate the need for aura reading perks. You should be able to use game sense and figure out which gens are or were being worked on, even without aura reading perks.
-
It and Overcharge will probably increase in usage rate as the replacements to Eruption. I don’t think it needs a nerf though.
-
Still the actual worst killer in the game.
-
Y’all are on some mad copium if you think Eruption’s still worth a slot. 10% is still not much, especially when the only other benefit you get is so pointless it might as well not exist. You’d legit be better off with Jolt.
-
CatMarrow on Twitch, but idk if he streams anymore.
-
Funny people are whining about “gen kick meta continues REEEE” when this perk is still mediocre. It’s just not terrible like before.
-
Nah, let’s not completely power creep Guardian/No One Left Behind.
-
The survivor aura addon isn’t even that good, especially after its nerf.
-
Hag sucks ass.
-
RPD isn’t even a good map for killer lmao. The 3 gen in main hall is literally the only “good” part of it. If you guys wants that 3 gen eliminated, maybe let’s talk about actually balancing the map a little better for killer too?
