So the only simularity is that their power has 2 uses before it recharges? And that it's a speedy dash foreward

I think people are very harsh when they say powers aren't unique anymore

With close to 30 killers you're bound to have some simularities between powers

Especially if you're stretching it like that

You are literally agreeing with me, I said same concept with some tweaks.

If the new killers with the same power didn't have those tweaks they would be like survivor, no gameplay change just the skin, besides Ace and Claudette, one has Iron will basekit and the other is a ninja in everymap except ormond

  • Wow the expert has appeared, what do you need, a screenshot ?

Just cause they are countered in similar fashion doesnt mean they play the same way, not even close, Artist is a ranged killer, Knight sets up patrols he can use offensively or defensively.

And Nurse and Wesker? really? they are even less comparable, both have mobility, yes, but thats where the similarities end, both work completely different from one another.

nurse, 2 blinks can go through anything, ignores pallets.

Wesker, 2 dashes, can't go through obstacles, may ignore pallets.

That is literally the same concept, they are the same but with small tweaks. Same thing with knight and artist, dredge and sadako.

Okay, Sadako and Dredge, I get the similarities, but how on earth are Artist and Knight alike? They're wildly different!

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3343720#Comment_3343720

New boon would be good, new scourgehook, new obsession perk could be interesting too!

I'd also like it if they incorporated glyphs into regular play through perks.

Artist puts a crow you hold w to another loop, same with knight, he puts a guard you try to leave the loop. Knight is if Artist power could roam around.

  • If the game just started, I hate it but when it's already like almost over, like 2 gens left or exit gates ready then I'm like: lol,ok, he quit.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I don't really see why they would do anything to those perks. None of them are even in the same stratosphere as Eruption in terms of problematic design. Pain Res can be frustrating when everyone is having bad chases, but it doesn't give killers all of their time back with zero counterplay and broken synergy like Eruption.

remeber they nerfed Pop goes the weasel, a perk so problematic that you had to "just hook" a survivor and walk over to a gen to get value. Now is that unhealthy to the game like eruption, I doubt that, so expecting a nerf to Pain Res is not so far fetched

  • It is going to be garbage, look how they masacred Pop Goes the weasel, it's going to reveal survivor auras yeah right, the auras will probably last 4 seconds because Nurse exists, and it will be useless info since you need to hook the survivor

  • Nurse is not hard to learn and it's not the killer that requieres the most skill, it's Hillbilly with curve addons.

Noed is justified, you have dead hard.If you gave no ######### to the totems during the game then Killer should give zero ######### to your whining in the post game chat.

Any time a killer finds a good perk build sinergy, that is skillfull to both sides, survivors will complain to Bhvr to nerf it, old ruin undying, pre nerf pop, corrupt intervention.

Ds is a good change since now you don't have recently unhooked survivors in killer face to force him to tunnel.

Off the record is a bad change, endurance useless if the killer hits you when you are unhooked, and when he don't and you are fully healed you are useless to the team, so you go to look for the killer to force the endurance proc.

You can't say that if bhvr adds a game mode to dbd that after a couple of weeks nobody would play it, you don't know that since there is no data of that happening in the past since there is no game modes in live dbd only in custom matches.

  • It's more of a situation but it has become a meme for me, it's pretty funny to me when a survivor hides in a locker and the killer fakes like walking away but he suddenly stops and slowly turns to face the locker because he knows there is a survivor in there.

  • Lead Character DBD artist tweeted that "there are going to be very happy people soon" so I think because of that the chapter will be licenced, and it might be either Fnaf, Stranger thing or Friday the 13, that's the most requested things I've noticed the community wants as a number 1 priority, I don't think he would be saying that if the chapter was original since there is much more hype around licence ip

So, are ya'll not reading/ paying attention to the comments about killers. How is it that killers keep getting buffs and keep trolling survivors and no one does anything about it. I have had to repeatedly report killers for trolling, not participating in regular game play, and unsportsman- like conduct and it doesn't seem like it does any good (and I know other players that have to do the same thing)? How is it that you are supporting a single player per match (one persons money) when there are 4 other people that are playing to have fun (x4 the funds).

This game is entirely Killer sided. Wiggle progression has been repeated reduced, on top of hooks being practically on top of each other. There are zero repercussions for killers face/proximity camping. Survivors should still me able to attempt to get off the hook during first faze if they haven't been hooked yet. Survivor is meant to be played in a teamwork mindset, however killers are allowed to slug and bate other survivors, which completely negates the motive for teamwork or any sort of co-op maneuvers.

At this point I wish BHVR adds killers bots so you would stop bitching

Players being able to stack 4 medkits or 4 toolboxes on top of Prove Thyself and Resilience is one huge reason for that. SWF teams shouldn't be able to stack items.

Some maps just kill any killer's pressure. Terrible map balance. (some terrible map spawns for survivors too though).

The solo queue update definitely helped players better coordinate. Gave much more information so they can play smarter.

Another thing that some killers these days are really feeling is many killers (not saying you) are super boosted by the Eruption cob combo, so they get put with players who are so much better than them, and just can't keep up. Feel sorry for them when Eruption gets the nerf.

I can't use anything else but only eruption, it's the only good regression perk that I have.

Its pretty sad to see the state Freddy is currently in. He has one of not the most boring power in the entire game. Hes not really fun to play as. (love playing against him eventho its been so long since ive seen him.) hes IMO the most neglected character in the game. Wish my old main could get some love. A more interesting fun power, redesign and some cool cosmetics would be nice.

How do you feel about his current state?

I honestly think If you are fan of the movies and you buy him you deserve to get a refund

  • @FMG15 said:

Killers are not fearing DS anymore. That's because it's rare nowadays and pretty weak. You can't use it agressively anymore without having to worried to get downed 10 seconds later. It has lost it's strength. I know it was intended to be back to 3 seconds as soon as Enduring didn't affect every stun anymore (though it took them a lot of time to nerf it back to 3 seconds). But honestly it wasn't overpowered. Only the fact that it was active in endgame was problematic. But they nerfed that aspect as well. Survivors should have a way to punish a killer from reckless tunneling off the hook.

So my idea is to make the current DS basekit and buff the perks stun duration to 5 seconds. And it will still be deactivated in endgame so it won't be a free jail out perk.

Reckless tunneling, yeah I love that when it was 5 sec you had recently unhooked survivors right in the killer face because if the killer doesn't go for you, your ds does nothing and you can't do anything or your ds is gone meaning you are useless for the team.

There is not such thing as agressive ds, you just played cocky and try to be annoying and force the killer to tunnel you because of a perk

Dead hard along with Head On are the only survivor perks that requires any skill whatsoever. The rest of the perks are passive and mostly boring to use. If anything the game needs many more perks like Dead Hard. A perfectly timed Dead Hard is one of the few fun things I look forward to in the game. I am certainly not looking forward to mending, healing and working on generators so repetitively. Yet there are some killers who are such poor sports who absolutely hate it because it really shows that you have been out played. With practice, I successfully hit Dead Hard most of the time. To a killer who has not learned the benefit of patience and timing, it may look like I have performed magic to them. Conversely, for the killer who exudes such skill and judgement to bait my dead hard, I know when to express gratitude for having been outplayed. Unfortunately, many killers want lobotomized survivor bots rather than real humans with beautiful skills. Why do they not just play single player games on easy difficulty instead of Dead By Daylight?

Yeah, smash hit could be difficult to get sometimes

I would love if they changed sprint burst that the only way to activate is to last as long as possible in chase, similar to pebble, so survivors won't just run away when they see killer approaching and walk everywhere to not waste sprintburst I think with this change it would requiere skill to use

  • It is only scary if you got an indoor map and you have undetectable as a killer, then you can give survivors jumpscares.

    myers, ghostface, hag.

Dredge had so much potential to be jumpscare killer but he is too loud

  • Playing as a killer in that map some loops feel very clunky, it feels like if you are walking throgh a bush and you get stuck on the branches, there are even small stacks of hey everywhere (very small, size of a shoe) that for some reason have collision and you slide off them when looping

This map is very uncomfortable to play in

It’s very sad to see this game dying. Within the past 6 months all BHVR has focused on is making DBD very easy for killers while making surviving basically impossible for survivors. The excuses I hear for this 4v1 pvp game is astounding. F13 is a 1v7, with weapons, stunners, multiple escape options and even a kill the killer choice. Yet there are so many crybabies about a 4v1 with no weapons, kill the killer choice, very few stun or escape options. Maps are smaller and always buffed to please the killer, flashlights dead (no longer possible to blind even at pallets) and I guarantee that soon we won’t be able to blind killers while they’re picking up a teammate!

im constantly hearing killers STILL cry about DH, even though it takes skill to use now, after it being nerfed to the ground, yet these same cry baby killers that BHVR is listening to, are running every aura reading perk, eruption, CoB, Pain Resonance, etc. killers crying they have to wait 10 seconds to outlast Bt/DH, but survivors have to wait 30 seconds+ while the gen regression builds are in play.

killer speeds and cooldowns increased while survivors speed and cooldowns decreased. ie, killer will recover faster from a missed swing before a survivor can even unhook a teammate and get away. Killers are faster but they give us crappy pallets to play.

and speaking of pallet/vaulting play: they are useless in game now. It’s so cute that when a killer is breaking a pallet now, no more blinding bc boohoo! And when a killer has begun the hooking process, no saving! Bc booohooo! But when survivors start the vault or window process, guess who’s getting a down?!?! The killer, even if you’re across the pallet! If they started the swing animation, it’s a wrap. And it’s BS!!!!!

“iTs a SKiLl IsSUe” - please! It takes ZERO skill to play killer now. With the OP perks and speed boost and “server” being favored towards killer, all survivors mentality is now is to get as many points in a match before dying.

“BUt KiLLerS POiNt Is tO KiLl” okayyyy????? And what do you think survivors point is?!?! You can get an escape 1 out of 10 matches. Pathetic. But killers can get a guaranteed 10/10 match victories.

BHVR allows killers or now slug, camp, tunnel survivors now that killer emblems are now based on kills ie 1 kill-bronze 2- silver etc. yet there is still not built in unbreakable for the slugging????

BHVR is sneaky with all their shadow buffs and needs that that leave out of their patch notes.

and don’t even get me started on the crappy hot boxes they made bigger for killers ie mastermind and his special power. This also plays into the crappy servers! Servers have gone down the toilet over the past year.

andnthe favoritism towards killers and their maps is insane! Every time I get a huntress, it’s always in a wide open map! Ie coldwind.

but everyone looks the other way bc OOOHH COSMETICS! Which have also become very cheep since the ghost face rift. This current rift (vitorrio) is so cheap and basic. Not worth the $10 anymore.

if BHVR wants their game dead then they should just say that!

I’ve been playing this game since 2018, over 3k hours in the game and I’m so disappointed in where the game is headed. Game is trash now, I’d rather have 2018 DBD back again at this point.

milk return when they actually TRY to balance the game for survivors and killers, not one side over the other.

hate it or like it, this is the state of DBD.

Seems like someone had bad games recently

No worries, you will be back playing this game when BHVR nerfs the current 3 eruption meta and adds what they planned this year.

Then after a couple of months or years there will be another post saying this game duying, something never seen before -_-

  • 2 Gens left, I see you were the last one to get unhooked.

    NOTHING PERSONAL KID.

Your are out, It is easier now with 3 survivors, I get more time in the game, because only one surv is on a gen, the other one is going for the unhook.

Do you think surv appreciate that killer played nice, no they all Tbag you acting cocky at the exit gate wasting time because they want the killer to force them out or because they think they are giving him extra bp, #########, no, just leave, I get it, you won, now let me go to the next game.

It's really not a big deal, just move on to the next game, tunnelling just works and your objective is to kill so if you are being tunnelled learn from that and try the hardest to survive, you are a survivor not a mechanic.

  • I mean they could make something like that to a new killer or rework an existing one, for example twins, survivors techincally are killing Victor over and over again

  • @ratcoffee said:

Based on another thread on this forum, I came up with an idea for a rework/buff to keys:

-As well as opening the hatch, keys can additionally be used to unlock chests (and maybe the exit gate) at a faster rate

-Keys are no longer consumed by opening hatch/chests/gates. Instead, opening these props consumes charges from the key in the same way aura reading does, the number of charges required equals the number of seconds the action normally takes (just like every other item). The Milky Glass addon is reworked to cause the key to consume less charges while performing unlocking actions.

-Different keys have different speed modifiers while performing unlocking actions

I was initially going to propose specific numbers but I'm not going to pretend to be smart enough to know what the best numbers are for this idea.

when the breakable door was first added tbh I thought survivors could interact with it using a key to open it but at the end it was just a wall

  • You have Red Herring for that, work on a gen with someone, you leave to go far away, enter the locker, Done.

You sandbagged your teammate without even knowing.Ideal for solo escapes if you want to play selfish, pick Yun Jin to increase the immersion

I just played a match of DBD and someone complained that I was using a "super sweaty" build. And after said person told me to go and off myself, I actually do wonder, is my build really sweaty? I mean, I kind of just threw the build together in 5 minutes and have been using it ever since and Ive found it to me quite fun to use, but it does involve meta (well, micro-meta) perks.

    • Trial of Torment ~ Undetectable gets canceled upon a Survivor losing a health state, which means I can use this to get my Feral Frenzy chains going.
    • Lethal Pursuer ~ To increase the early game action because I have ADHD and have been obsessing over this perk (thank you BHVR, I love this perk and glad it got buffed).
    • SH: Gift of Pain ~ I only really use this for its synergy with SH: Floods of Rage, the slowdown is nice but is often useless since people dont heal against Legion anymore because of Dead 'Ard.
    • SH: Floods of Rage ~ I just love aura reading perks and SH: Floods of Rage has been another fixation of mine, I use to really hate it but after using it more Ive come to enjoy it a lot, it can especially help when an unhook occurs within a chase. Also it has Synergy with Lethal Pursuer, which is really nice.

But what do yall think? Is this a "super sweaty" build?

happened to me with purple Huntress addon, grants undetectable when reloading, got called trash because I was using an op addon

  • @Toaster427 said:

Ever since I started focusing on leveling up my survivor to respectable levels I've noticed killers either

    A. Dodge the lobby multiple times making me wait longer

    B. Go into the match as sweaty as can be, instantly tunneling and camping right at 5 gens because they believe high prestige survivors ='s skill....which it doesn't...I suck...

    C. Purposely throw the match just to kill me first or do something toxic towards me.

Why the heck am I even doing this? This is all I get from this, the game punishing me because I leveled up a character...there's literally no upside to this.

So now cause I screwed up I have to switch survivors, cause now I'm being targeted every match and my lobbies take forever. which just makes me want to stop playing all together cause I don't want to reset everything I have just to do that. Thanks, this was such a wonderful idea!

That was BHVR plan for you to play something else, when you reach p100 on all survs you unlock special reward, which is uninstalling this game (unless you don't mind playing killer forever) because I doubt you will handle again and again the points A.B.C that you mentioned

  • @MoNosEmpire said:

Its clear that tunnelling will always be an issue, yes its a "strategy" but it becomes obnoxious when 9/10 games that's all you ever see.

    I propose a cap on tunnelling. How it would work would be by the following;

    • If killer tunnels to win in a game
    • The next 2 games the killer will be unable to hit the same player twice
    • If the killer rage quits/dc's in any of these two games, it will add +1 to the tunnelling cooldown timer

This would not only make the game fun again, it would make the game fluid again too!

How about instead of adding your idea, the perks that encourage going for diferent survivors get a buff, Forced penance, Pop goes the weasel, BBQ bloodpoints. BHVR said another perk update is coming in the roadmap

But let's imagine your idea get's added, what if the killer is against all the same survivor swf, same outfit, hidden name, and he tunnels one by accident because they all look the same, so now what he get's punished for that

  • It wouldn't change a thing you could tunnel a survivor out of the game by their name and outfit, sometimes there is a swf with the same survivor outfit and hidden username but in that case you can't complain to being tunneled if you all look the same, the addition to that would just be easier to know who is on death hook

  • @Audiophile said:

Bring out the killer mains to defend their posh life. Face it: some killers are balanced but 2 and 3 ks aren’t acceptable to your egos. You must play the OPAF killers so you can go entire days without a single loss. DBD Killer remains the easiest gig in gaming.

I could say the same ######### about survivors and their meta builds, you have to sweat because you are training for the day it becomes an Esport, you playin like you have a 50 win streak to mantain, so you can't lose the moment you own it, you better never let it go, you only get one shot.

And no, despite what twitter wants you to think, it isnt Haddie Kaur

Haddie doesnt have skins, thats the only issue

    Meanwhile: take The Twins

They have bugs that have been around since they came out, all theyve gotten is constant nerfs, and the one time they get a bug that SHOULDNT be fixed (reducing the cooldown between switching from Vic to Char and vice versa), it gets fixed IMMEDIATELY. Why didnt they put the effort to fix the twins gamebreaking bugs that make them unplayable? I understand that many dont like the twins for many reasons-Charlotte isnt a conventionally attractive "girlboss", many twins players slug, camp, and tunnel (because that is what theyre good at, like the Oni, they are punished for not slugging), but these issues shouldnt mean they get neglected.

The most neglected original character from killer side are Twins

The most neglected original character from survivor side is Haddie

They saying that is Haddie from survivor POV because Vittorio is new and already has ton of skins and a tome and Haddie didn' t recieved the same treatment, I think they put all the effort on Dredge and Haddie was rushed for the chapter release, her appearence doesn't match the lore

For Twins you just have to hope they release a rework soon because not a single killer gets the ######### beaten out of them other than Twins cough cough* basekit unbreakable PTB testing

killer name: child of the night

as for me, vampires are too many-sided and it would be uninteresting to limit them

so we will have like legion with male and female characters

    size medium/high, TR 40 m

    Ability Blood Rage:

the ability has 3 levels, each time you deal damage you fill it a little

Level 1: You increase your movement speed to 4.8
window climbing speed up to 15%
recovery after being pallet stunned by 15% less
and pallet breaking speed up to 10%
    flashlight time for stun 0.75
    ability duration 10 seconds
    ability cooldown time 15 sec

after 5 hits in an ability, you level up

    Level 2: movment speed 4.9
window climbing speed up to 20%
    pallet stun 20%
    pallet breaking 15%
    flashlight time for stun 1.0
    ability duration 12.5 sec
    ability cooldown time 16

after 10 hits in second level you up to 3

    level 3: movment speed 5.0
window climbing speed up to 25%
    pallet stun 30%
    pallet breaking 20%
    flashlight time for stun 1.25
    ability duration 15 sec
    ability cooldown time 17 sec

    now a little explanation

while using blood rage, you can be stunned with a flashlight (like wraith)

so it will be an m1 killer on steroids but with a weakness to flashlight, so flashlight perks will be more useful

ability "gift of the night" if the survivor is on the ground, then the killer can bite him, infecting him with vampirism
vampirism has 5 stages, each new stage fills in 20 seconds
1 self heal in 15% faster
    2 survivor 3% faster
3 speed buff and self heal ends and you healing other surv 20% slower
4 survivor repair the generator 10% slower and hear TR near other survivors
    5 survivor move 5% slower
there are 4 UV lamps on the map with 4 charges, each charge reduces vampirism by 2

    perks:

    • hemophobia survivor interaction speed is reduced by 10% if you are injured
    • hex bloodline you see blood pool auras while the totem is active
    • echolocation, if you stand still for more than 5 seconds you see the auras of survivors within a radius of 32 meters if they interact (survivors will be warned if they are under the effect of a perk)

    Survivor name candace:

you can know her story from the seventh book

    perks:

    • sunlight every time you blind the killer you restore 8% of the flashlight's charge
    • boon mystical restore, restores 0.25% of an item's charge per second if you are in the blessing area
    • light in the dark, increases your movement speed by 150% for 3 seconds if you have successfully blinded the killer, after speeding up, you get an exhaustion effect for 40 seconds

I'm sure that with those survivor perks you items will be infinite, don't forget build to last exist

  • Impressive, very nice

  • Not only deathslinger, pretty much every killer can just hit you in case you are running off the record, eat your baby Dc and tunnel you out if the game

  • yep, in this case I don't blame my teamates for Dcing, I guess that's why they added potential energy

  • @Mandy said:

if so, could you remove the 30% penalty from calm spirit, it feels unnecesary

  • Distortion and Object of obsession doesn't work together, I tried it and thoght I was big brain but I saw that Distortion blocked the aura reveal of the Object, it only works again when your Distortion is out of tokens

You never know maybe they will rework them this year

  • Yeah man, BHVR have so many ideas from those gamemodes on youtube, let's hope they add those.

1.cool concept... but cool down to long nobody is gonna use it

    3.i like that

3.1i like dummy hooks but that other stuff you put makes it not worth it.. I don't think people would want to lose a health state for that... its a reason why people don't run no mither

    1. The cooldown can be lowered maybe the window can stay for 5 sec and the perk cooldown can be 30 sec (I consider 5 sec a lot since DS gave you enough time to run away not like now that is only 3 sec)
    2. The dummy hooks with no mither would actualy be op because as i said you can go into the dying state if you are injured but with no mither you can pick yourself up

The idea is a Perk that creates dummy hooks but there needs to be a downside, hmmm, how about, Survivors can create a dummy hook and if the killer hooks the carried survivor in that hook, the result would be like if the killer dropped the survivor

  • @durag_demon1 said:

    1. A perk that allows survivors to rebuild pallets that were destroyed ( I think the problem is survivors are afraid to use the resources around the Map because it's limited. So they try to greed the pallet and that gets them killed)

    2. A item that works similar to clown, where you can drops this item and if the killer comes in contact with it they get the hindered effect for x amount of seconds slowing thier movement speed and action speed

3.another perk that helps destract the killer. Maybe a perk that creats a fake survivor that move and act like the player which could throw off the killers (something similar to how knight works)

I know killers are gonna come in here complaning. I don't care the constant complaining is what lead to the boring game dbd has become. im trying to think of things that would make playing survivor fun. Introducing new play styles for people who are not strong at looping and greeding pallets

1.How about a perk that allows you to transform a door frame that is in front of you into a window for like 10 sec and has a cooldown of 50 sec

    2. Can't think of anything

    3. Deception perk that makes the gen look like 99% and takes twice as long to kick

3.1 Or a deception hook, survivor can create a fake hook but in order to do so you lose one health state but this time you can go from injured to dying state and if killer hooks you on that hook it would act like they were unhooked

fake hook timer 40 sec perk cooldown 60 sec

  • No, I mean Volatile, he is like humanoid faster zombie with weird jaw, the night hunter looks similar but he has tentacle that act like grapling hook and more present in the online gamemode.

I think the Volatile is more iconic to Dying light and would be cool to have in DbD

  • New game mode, addons changes for some killers and perk changes

There is no cap to the amount of chests that can spawn in a Trial (unless you consider the maximum amount of Offerings and Perks in play to be a cap).

You can use 4 Shiny Coins and Hoarder (for Killer) to have 13 Chests spawn, but having that happen in a normal match of DBD is not really plausible due to the fact that you need everyone running Shiny Coins and the Killer to be running Hoarder (which is not likely, you need the stars to align for this to happen).

I can go in swf and convince them to run shiny coin

Yeah. Bugs and exploits are always a big thing in games working on three dimensions.

Well that obviously innevitable to happen every time Bhvr drops an update a lot of bugs appear, like for example when new Haddonfield came there was a totem spawn that survivors couldn't reach because it was behind a wall

But I think they would easy fix those spots, like that time they "fixed" spacebilly

  • Out of reach you mean that survivors can't cleanse it?

I like it, but Killers (me included, probably 😋 ) would just find the most out of the way, hard to reach, and broken spots to spawn totems.

Not to mention people trying to find exploits to place totems literally out of reach.
