Agreed. The invalidation mechanic could use improvement in terms of feedback to the killer that their hit was invalidated.
Nah, I like to know just how robbed I was. If it just pretended I missed, I would be more disappointed.

It just depends on my mood. I have a rushdown Leatherface build, I have a Basement Bubba build. Those are for specific needs. My general Cannibal build is what I typically run as I can do both and change my mind during the game.
Some clown used deliverance in my face and hit me with DS, so as you can imagine I facecamped him with joy. The worst part is I got two downed with a chainsaw rush as they tried to save them last minute. You know what I did? I let them reset purposely to play the game out. Why? Because I do what I want regardless of survivor opinion.

Yeah it is fun to do this. Surprising how often you end up with a 4K at 5 gens doing this as well. It's good to do just to get an idea of when it is good to slug.
It is good for trolling as well, because people have to sit through your game and not get many points because of no hooks lol. Whereas if you play basement bubba people are onto that by now and just won't give salt in the chat.
I had 2 Doctor games in a row on Dead Dawg, my favorite map, where I only got 1 hook before I lost. The issue? I needed a 4k for a tome challenge using Doctor. I just hard slugged because I lacked the confidence to go for 12 hooks and they were all bleeding out with only one gen completed. No regression either. I don't have ruin on my Doctor, he is only leveled for Monitor and Abuse on Micheal.
Anyways, I enjoy it quite a bit. Surprised at how efficient it was.

Don't worry, we get lots of bloodpoint events like Halloween... Oh, wait...
In all seriousness, we will probably get a bloodhunt after this as an apology for half the event being bugged. Lol.
-
Freddy was who I learned the game with, but I have to admit, now that I am a competent killer... I probably would prefer old Freddy. Just because he seemed more unique.

Yeah, now killers are getting robbed of their fair hits. Pretty good job so far
Seeing as that was their goal with hit validation, I would say they did an excellent job. I actually thought it would be balanced when they announced it and was surprised to learn it just favored survivors. I was new at the time and didn't realize how they rolled.
But yeah, all survivors need now is validation on vaulting and finally all will be well with the world.

It's a fix, Dead Hard wasn't working as intended.
However, I think the take-away here is that the Developers have looked at Dead Hards data and instead of changing it or nerfing it, they fixed it. Which means Dead Hard isn't out performing other endurance perks. If it was, then they would have reworked it instead of taking the time to fix it.
I always knew that if developers misused the term fix instead of buff regardless of the fact, that people would still pretend it was just a fix. Thank you for proving my theory correct. I was 99.9% sure of it. But it is great to see evidence of it, and from my favorite group of gamers, nonetheless!

They will side with us once we become survivors ourselves. It is the only way Behavior will acknowledge us as their kohai.
-
If they changed this, I would crash every lobby with multiple flashlight users. In the case of one, I guess I could just tunnel and face camp them out at the expense of everyone's experience. Definitely a healthy idea if I have ever seen one. Great suggestion!

As a Deathslinger man, I feel the latter statement... I keep getting an unnatural amount of DCs even after his unnecessary nerf and it's like WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT??
Maybe they want the kicking up dust nerf that Spirit was supposed to get, but apply it to Deathslinger for a more traditional cowboy look. Without that, their immersion is killed and they would rather play against the Huntress.
-
And I love that you love me. You are the antithesis of a flashlight. Good looking, well mannered, intelligent and respectful.

lol I had everyone slugged, and as I hooked people they all DC'd. Against a trapper. I was playing trapper.
except this feng who didnt dc and i let her leave
I was doing a challenge and had them all slugged, it was only after that I realized how lucky it was that nobody DC'd. After that, I stopped doing challenges that rely on survivor participation. Lol.
-
That is a good question. You think it would be something they would have been VERY interested in.

Is DBD as big as COD and Overwatch?
Right now? It is definitely bigger than Overwatch.

I hope not. Nerfing them as a knee jerk reaction to content creators struggling with mmr and finding a scapegoat would be silly.

What?!? New cosmetics?!? Where's my credit card?!?
In the basement chest you faithfully guarded last time you played Basement Bubba, of course.

I haven't seen a single one yet. I wanna bop to her chase theme on the survivor side
I literally have no idea what the directional audio sounds like because I haven't played against one since the nerf.

I have no clue why queues seem to be so radically different, seemingly on a whim. I have tried finding patterns, but it genuinely just seems random.

@Jarol said:
Well the game is balanced 99% survivor and 1% killer.
Calm down, Jarol. No need to exaggerate. The game is closer to 98% survivor favored and 2% killer.

It is rough being a developer who gets blamed for the decisions of the higher ups who rarely, if ever, take responsibility.

Please for the love of God, no. I can only take so much punishment.

Sorry I was referring to your past self. What you mentioned is good but for those who get mad over a game I won't get. No matter what you'll always find those people who will try to tick you off. I find it funny because it's not like it has any impact to me in reality.
It always gets to me, every survivor who has said something mean has damaged my psyche and it is only a matter of time before I snap and face camp a survivor irl. /s
-
When I was new, it happened all the time. The craziest was on the swamp map, they had 3 of those hook distance offerings, boil over with the Yui perk, breakout, I think, as a Sabo squad. And the perk that breaks the hook when they get unhooked.
Jeff seemed to be their ring leader and I tried my best to kill him. I was very proud of myself at the time.
If I met those same survivors today, easy 4k.

Yeah, also as I've played it I've noticed that Tombstone piece is actually really under-powered against Survivor that know what they're doing.
Sadly that applies to just about anything and everything killer related. Rofl.

Nurse: Because when I outplay her, it feels amazing.
Huntress: Dodging hatchets is fun and getting cross-map sniped is also fun ngl.
Bubba: They are all so weird. They are literally on a higher plane of existence. So Bubbas are fun, unless you use Bamboozle lmao
Demo: When I outplay Demo, it feels good. And when Demo outplays me, it also feels good.
Oni: I don't know why honestly. He's just really fun.
Triangle Head: I love dodging his range power, it's just so fun. And when I get a really good Triangle Head, I might get mindgamed and outplayed as well.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/755XL9E5N8AG/tierlist.png
I just had a survivor loop me an extra time expecting that they could take the window after I sawed the pallet. But when they got there, they realized something was amiss!
Bamboozle is hilarious because those survivors who just run straight to shack have no idea what to do once that window is blocked. The satisfaction is immense.
Anyways, I play Bubba so that survivors don't have fun, I am more or less contractually obligated to ruin the fun of the few who enjoy playing against him. I apologize.
-
Not to sound like an entitled female dog, but without bloodpoints offerings or a bloodhunt. I actually do not care...
I will miss the pumpkins. But that is about it. The game feels the same as always without much special going on.
-
I am more concerned about the bugs at the moment to care about balance. But yeah, RIP Slinger, you didn't deserve it... Old chap.
-
Ghostface. I am not trying to be rude, but I hate the people who main him. I play him quite a bit myself and I am embarrassed to admit it because I do not want to be associated with them. Yes, I am unironically saying this as a loud and proud Leatherface main. Rofl.

Pinhead not running Hoarder/Franklin's. I like controlling his power for him. Bow to the needles and pins, baby.

Thing is, people say to play fun perks and just don't play to win, but IDK about that, I don't expect 4k each game, but having game with 2-3 hooks total just sucks and it doesn't really make it better that I had worse perks...
I had two Doctor games where I only got one hook while I was trying. On Dead Dawg... Which is my favorite map. And then I needed a 4k for a tome challenge using him. I lacked a lot of confidence so I decided to just 4 man slug them. They only had one unbreakable, thank Rngesus.
-
No Mither gives Oni orbs? That is kind of stupid...
-
I know I should be biased for my boi, but I feel people really underestimate Trapper. He is probably lowkey better in basement.
The flip side of that is the Basement Bubba meme kind of devalues the fact that he is amazing at face camping ANY hook. He doesn't need Basement whatsoever. Trapper does.

So, the main issue isn't "they probably wont be hard to catch anyway". Its the fact that a 30 second chase now can turn into over a minute chase. Where time is such a huge factor for a killer this is massive. The killer does everything right at a loop and chase but a press of a button helps get the survivor a possible free reset on a loop and chase.
It would be like a killer having a perk where their lunge is 3x as far every 40-60 seconds. You outplay the killer, you gain the distance to get to a pallet or window, you're about to make it and he activates his perk and lunges 3x as far and hits you.
So, i am down for Coupe to get buffed like that if everyone feels Dead Hard is okay. Survivors can even bait it also and dodge to the left or right like the killer has to bait Dead Hard. Let's see how that works out.
I mean, isn't that more or less just bloodlust in a nutshell?

Trust me, if anything it's worse on the killer side of things.
RPD offering into RPD offering into Haddonfield offering into RPD. Endless SWF groups with meta perks, smurfing down their MMRs to berate and abuse newcomers or less skilled people. And not a game goes by without me wondering if someone is hacking. 2 gens done within the first minute of the game, 3 done before you even see a survivor.
Ugh.
This game is like a toxic relationship that you keep coming back to.
I had a gen pop in less than 45 seconds and only one survivor was there. I genuinely have no clue how it happened as I forgot to check for brand new parts. Maybe some prove thyself was hiding in a locker nearby... Idk. My first thought was hacks, but nothing else was suspicious for the whole match.
-
Badham is worse for killer, in my opinion.

I just escaped Solo and I'm pretty sure I'm the worst Survivor player here.
I am at an mmr so low that the killers do not play half of the time. I guess that is how they get me a 50/50 win loss. Rofl.

An m1 killer is a killer whos only direct means of damage is their basic attack
Trapper is an M1 killer because the traps are indirect damage
Oni is an m2 killer because he has the ability to directly do damage outside of his basic atack.
So...Pyramid Head is not an m1 killer to you?
-
The fix is to pray to Rngesus for forgiveness.
-
I do not care, I just hook trade for them. Whatever. I do not care about escaping unless a challenge tells me to.
-
Leatherface. I want his Hacked up for Barbecue riff that Moritician did. Would be metal.
Or Savages. Would be 3 Days Grace.
-
True Tunneler is probably the best killer main to get a variety of high mmr play from. They rage quit because he were too efficient.

I can see the Claudette's in my game not doing ######### either. But I never see Dwight anymore. Like ever
People warned me the Jake masks would be the hardest to get for Leatherface, but Dwight was the most elusive by far.
-
Resident Evil 3 is not a full on action game... Like, what?
-
I disown him, clearly a survivor main playing killer. /s
I do not complain about end game chat. Cringe players crying does nothing to me. And usually after I troll them for a bit, they start to gain enough awareness to realize it which is the biggest surprise to me.
-
All killers deserved better. Yes, even Nurse.
-
I wouldn't be here if I didn't. As a kid, I loved being scared and wish it could happen again. I miss the sensation, but I feel like it only happens when you are younger unfortunately.
