Bot teammates would genuinely be stronger players and more competent at the game.

It looks like it is double stuffed with the Frey's.

I am not trying to be rude, at all... But perhaps single player games are more your speed? Heck, I more or less feel the same way. People ruin everything they touch. That human element is what makes multi-player games far less fun and they are only ever really enjoyable when people put others before themselves, and if everyone does that, they are the most fun experience you can possibly have.
I kept playing Overwatch for years because finding a team that actually cared about team play made it the best experience I have had in gaming, but after you sit through hundreds upon thousands of matches just hoping people put in the bare minimum effort, you realize you wasted so much time playing an amazing game with a horrible community.
DBD as a survivor is more or less like Overwatch, or any other team based game. Absolutely unplayable because you end up wondering how your teammates functions irl at all more than focusing on what the game has to offer, which is not much as they throw the game. As killer, you will run into some degenerates, sure, but you can literally play the game though. It is all on you. I lose to genrushing stealth squads, but that only wastes around 4 minutes of my time. It sucks. But then I can just go next and play against people actually interested in playing DBD.
I am sorry, but if you are "running into swf" every game, the issue is more you. I would stop playing survivor entirely and focus on how to disrupt swf. You will have much more fun in the long term with a bit of work now. If that is too much effort, I doubt you will find an easier multi-player game. This one is about as party as it gets.
-
Perhaps if a streamer were targeted, change would happen. Because you know, they care so much about people and everything to remove stuff from the game that can be interpreted one way or another. It is all about taking away their tools.
-
Oni, Nemesis, and Legion. I know it does not make sense, but that is absolutely what I have experienced. I feel they should pick better killers for their playstyle, but there is just something really off about the people who play Oni and Legion.
-
Definitely Deadlock. No contest.

Now that you mention it, I think I got a longer stun, too. But I barely noticed it as I had a wanna-be bully squad lead by a TTV player who tried to goad me into traps with Head On, but failed and the whole team fell appart soon, giving me the easiest string of knockdowns in a very long time. Quite fitting, though.
I went against a head on squad too. But they kept trying to do it into my chainsaw... It was kind of weird.
-
I never take it off of any of my builds. It is just too helpful. I prefer it to a lot of the meta options myself. But I am not exactly an escape god. I mean, it is obviously better in solo queue than Kindred, at least. If you had competent teammates to where Kindred gets value, you could have spanked the killer perkless.
-
"If youre a killer that has this playstyle, please know that you are absolutely horrible and ruining the game for every person that plays survivor. This is how people become toxic."
Statements like these are why I am apathetic toward your plight. Yes, I am responsible for your toxicity. Really thought provoking.
-
Collateral damage to avoid exploiting the perk. Swf could hypothetically just time the unhook with a gen pop and create the free escape situation they are trying to remove from the game.
-
Pinhead is still bad... Like, what? I do not care if someone puts him at A tier. People do that for Sadako as well, and they are also wrong. Speaking of which, we sat on her for quite a few months and they never got around to buffing her. Wesker was already buffed. Hate to say it, but chapter sales probably influence their balance decisions more than "time."

and the criteria to "if i want to find a certain survivor" can be completely petty and based on saltiness if you looped the killer well or were hard to catch
Okay, and? Who cares about the reason I want a specific survivor? It is usually because they didn't participate, by the way. What does it matter if that is petty? I can go for them if I want. If you are that serious about escaping a game that you did not contribute in, I would say you need to get better at hiding from your teammates too.
-
He was more or less viable because his power was free to land. If you have to actually land it, the reward for doing so is not enough. Might as well play Nurse or Blight. I agree that tweaking it so that you can actually use it more often would be a nice balance decision. Or keep it clunky and buff the effect. You should get a damage state if you land it, or nerf the excessive cleansing. Whatever, really. This just ain't it.
That being said, he is still better than pretty much every m1.
-
Sounds about right. I have not really gone on a huge escape streak.
-
I am not actually sure I can share the story as I am not sure if it is against whatever arbitrary rules they have. In a real game, it would just be standard gameplay, but here? I won't take my chances. That being said, some of these sus games where the only ones where I felt vaguely bad... For a particular survivor, anyway.

Sorry, should of clarified I only play the top #########, however, I don't know why people who play Nurse/Blight/Spirit/Artist are running slowdown.
Because they are conditioned to believe that is how the game is played.
-
I would personally be fine with the perk. It has a lot of start up, it is conditional, and in the event it succeeds, there is a heavy drawback to using it. I would argue it is well designed and I am really surprised to see people disagree.
-
If the killer has camped a survivor for more than 10 seconds, red text should remind survivors that generators exist. That might help push them in the right direction.
-
I have been accused of tunneling plenty when I did no such thing... I am not afraid to admit it. I am a face camp god. I literally face camp for FUN. You think I am worried that some survivor did not appreciate a tunnel? Hell nah. But when they come at me with their gaslight, gatekeep, girl boss attitudes, I am not going to take credit for their feelings. I like to earn my salt the authentic way. Not being gifted it by some peasant who never looked up the term they are crying about.
-
I do not speak survivornese myself. I have no clue what they want half the time. So I am sure I have done this on more than one occasion. Accidentally. Totally accidently.
-
Probably never? Solo queue is not horrible because killer is overpowered. It is horrible because your teammates contribute more to the killer's cause than the killer themselves.

10 camping legions in a row? I heard the stories and I know all of em are just people blowing smoke to try and get sympathy points lol
If you're not happy with the game just leave, don't come here with a made up(albeit poorly,I instantly knew this was crude lol) story and expect people to agree lol
I bet you were one of the ten Legion that face camped him and now you are trying to gaslight us into believing it never happened.

This is just a little rant session... I am usually open to survivor behavior nowadays since it's solo queue and it's a mess... but when I'm really good at hiding and a survivor points me out to the killer and the killer kills me and lets the other survivor escape is when it gets ridiculous... I did 3 gens with another survivor, just me and him, on my recent game and I didn't get hooked once because I'm just good at hiding, I'm not gonna just give myself up to the killer... and a Meg (it usually always is) pointed me out while I tried to save the last survivor (while she did nothing the whole round, ended with 9k points +7.5k from hatch) and the killer hooks me, and lets the Meg farm me for points. I give this specific instance (minus the farming part) because it has happened to me a few times these past few weeks and it's quite annoying. The killer's defense was "I can't make her unhook you"... that's all he had. I guess you can't be good at hiding nowadays or else you're gonna get pointed out guys, so be aware when you play solo queue survivor!
Not going to lie, it sounds deserved. I do not like the hiding types either. It is not their fault the survivor ALSO disliked you. I guess you need to get better at hiding, from teammates as well.

@sulaiman said:
Can you please explain how tunneling a gen is different from doing a gen?
Tunneling is short for tunnel vision. So, you know, the same difference between just chasing the unhooked versus tunneling them. It is all about determination.

its just bhvr...
remember one thing, if other devs need weeks for a thing, bhvr needs months, if the other devs need months, bhvr needs years and the funniest thing about this is that most of it doesn't work xD hit validation, MMR, server, after many many tests and years later things still don't work out
if you have played another game a lot, you will notice how slow the devs of dbd are and it doesn't even work properly xD no front just facts
Nah, this game gets lightning fast updates, excessive content, and the developers make extremely intelligent decisions compared to Overwatch. Any other game? You might be right. But with what I am used to, the DbD developers are top notch.
-
I would be down with it. I know rng is the boogeyman, but in party games, I feel it can often make things more interesting.
-
It is fine in my opinion. Perks do not need to be nerfed just because they are viable and we will never achieve any semblance of build diversity with that attitude.

"defend the basement" lol what a fancy way of saying "camping" xD
So if you were HALF across the map you would come back? I unhook when terror radius fades out but let's be honest, some killers can find 326875 excuses to hover around or in the vicinity of the hook. Especially Weskers these days since they can zoom back in split of a second.
I agree tho that fast vault is wrong, regardless of distance.
You defend the basement by camping it... Like, what? I get you are frustrated that it works. But that is the point of hooking them in the basement. If they wanted you to get a free save, they ideally wouldn't make the trip to the basement. That would be a waste of time.
-
I am not going to lie, that is why, despite coming from an fps background, I do not play ranged killers. The tiles in this game, bruh. Even on open maps the way you have to play certain areas is so counterintuitive when all you want to do is go for shots. Those killers are only fun if people consistently get caught out in the open, imo.
Artist is probably the best if you tired of line of sight blockers. Just saiyan. I have literally never recommended her to anyone, ever. But it sounds like just the thing you need unless you are dedicated to one tricking Huntress.
If you are, I suggest an end game build. Just have fun during the game, and once gens pop, that is when you can hard camp them, maybe go for a Blood Warden play. Rancor is very good, you can just mori them regardless of quadruple second chances and swf protection. That is what I would do if I was forced to play Huntress.
-
I thought they buffed it to count for m2 as well...
I do not really care one way or the other. I am not going to use it. That being said, I agree with your logic, more or less. If it is Nurse approved, I fail to see why it would magically be an issue on other killers.

Well, sure, I guess it is not AS bad as the heartbeat. But I still wouldn't want to hear that nonsense in my ear unless I was searching. It might be nice if it activated like insidious, perhaps.
-
Hook trade with him if he is new and you do not want his game ruined. How the hell am I supposed to know someone is new when I face camp them?
I am not toxic just because I want to face camp you. There is no correlation, fam. I would sooner argue you are the toxic player projecting and making this more serious than it really is. I am just playing a video game, bro. It ain't deep.
-
It would make killer as annoying to play as survivor. I hate the noise pollution.

Yeah and I have killers crying about the Hyper Focus + Stakeout synergy.
I cannot even react to the speed these checks come at - so I just rush gens faster.
I thought that was the point of the build? Deter healing so you can catch them out and just m1. Take advantage of his terror radius the size of my ego.
-
From my point of view, immersed survivors are the problem. I would probably get banned if I told you what I recently did against a group despite the fact that there is no stated rule against it, but I know how Behavior treats 3 gen situations. So let's just say I made sure to give them a taste of their own medicine after they did exactly what I knew they would because of how they were playing.
I am proud of you for camping them. These people are biased, they pretend "its just a game" but then imply you had a problem for playing how you wanted to play while defending the party who was lowkey trolling, or throwing?
Sus.

The devs don't ignore it, they only do what is allowed by the license holder. The remake was a flop made by hacks who had 0 respect for the franchise and led by a major production company that has 0 respect for the franchises it owns. Warner brothers doesn't care, freddy is a gimmick and is dead an buried in a vault full of failed reboots and classic cartoons
They ain't care enough to add homie to Multiversus. I want to mess up Bugs Bunny with Freddy. Sure, survivor mains are a decent replacement. But as annoying as they are... Bugs is just genetically designed to be worse.
-
Wow... That actually makes you mad? I need to start doing that. I thought just yanking you off the hook was what would piss you off the most, guess I was mistaken.
-
Just laugh it off? Killers being toxic in-game is cheesy as hell. I can't even tell half the time. There was this Trapper who kept trying to put his trap by me after I crawled to a hook for him after he slugged for the 4k. But apparently, because I was too close to the hook, he had to "teabag" me from a mile away. I was so confused and my sister needed to explain what he was trying to do. Rofl.
I also ran into a Legion that let me open the gate, but then carried me back into the map to crawl out. He messed up his timing and had to do it again. I was even on an escape challenge, and usually challenges trigger me. But just witnessing their attempt to BM was enough to lighten the mood. I was joking that if I had tenacity, he would have never been able to stop me.
-
I got to face camp three people at once without basement. It was a dream come true. I feel it was my finest moment in DBD. Even better than my 4 condemned Sadako game.

It's mostly a non issue on outside maps due to how large they are but on inside maps the can get stuck on doorways and basically block that whole door off as a result.
And it literally just happend to me on RPD, a zombie got stuck on the little broken wall that leads into the main opening of the map and survivors could not walk through it without taking a hit from the zombie
Yeah, I got one who body blocked the upstairs room to the East. Pretty annoying, but you know, from playing Nemesis a lot, they mostly get stuck on walls or trees where nobody is ever going to be. I just take it as, "that's unlucky" and move on because rng gonna rng.

4 survivors are needed for a lobby VS 1 killer. Also 3 out of the 4 survivors will be out of the game before the killer .

This isn't an answer but I think anonymous mode is great. Turned on all the settings and now I play every single match the queue gives me.
No urges to lobby dodge, no checking profiles etc.
Huh? How does anonymous mode stop you from lobby dodging? I get how it might stop people from dodging you, but not the other way around.
-
No. I will keep asking. The game design is outdated, fam. We do not need a dozen usable perks and a few dozen filler perks. Some of these that nobody would ever select should just be base. The game would feel a lot better. Specifically for survivor.
-
They still get stuck on stuff outside. I am not sure how difficult it would be to fix, but does it even matter? It is not as though it will ever happen.
-
@Murgleïs said:
So as a nurse main, I don’t see anything wrong with what he wrote.
RPD is not the worst nurse map. The map is smaller now, and you have better sightlines. The middle is stronger for nurse because you can have 2 gens close there.
Also playing against nurse can be boring af so I understand the salt.
Okay, so what is her worst map?
-
The inherent issue that you have not considered is that perhaps they WANT it this way? The dead giveaway is that they refuse to add voice chat, by the way. I know people get really emotional and passionate about this topic, but sit there and actually think about it for a minute before freaking out and contemplating the ramifications of it. Just look at it from an objective stance. Why? Why would they allow voice in groups that already know each other and leave solo players without key information. What is the reason?
It is actually really obvious. And it explains why they haven't addressed the issue for however long, and why they have literally confirmed they never will.
-
Those squads would likely have low mmr. If not from getting destroyed by killers for not rushing gens, then by manually deranking to find killers who do not know how to play against it. The MMR system sucks donkyru, but this is probably not one of the reasons.
I digress, there is no point in being a kind killer. Most survivors will just take advantage of it, and/or still be toxic. Play how you want, I am just saying that most of them are delusional enough to believe that you intentionally playing poorly is their own skill. It is not something they actively appreciate. But if you like being nice, I am not trying to stop you. I just wouldn't expect any good karma from doing so.
-
@Brimp said:
All it takes is splitting on gens and decent loopers to render most killers just an m1... Idk what swat teams you're going up against but must be pretty amateur.
Honestly, the second anyone claims they 4k "good" survivors, you can immediately throw their opinion out the window. Whatever they think is good are the same survivors everyone is 4king. Maybe it is a little different as Nurse, but most people literally give up against a good Nurse instead of playing it out. So cleaning up a team with a thrower is usually not a difficult task either, even if they were hypothetically a team that would have stomped another killer. These good teams are rare, obviously, especially with the loose mmr. But they certainly exist. And to be real, most people here already outed themselves as low to mid mmr back when it was at its tightest. And what do most of them have in common? They post a lot about the survivor experience.
Who would have guessed that survivor dedicated players were never playing against high ranks in their killer lobbies? Not me. Lol.
-
According to Behavior, you were actually holding them hostage. Defending gens is not your objective, apparently. If you do not let them survivors do a gen, you are holding the game hostage. It is known.
