It's literally fine.

Chem trap is good and Lucky Star is actually good in a head on build (Head on, Lucky Star, Calm Spirit and Quick and Quiet is one I currently use) I can't tell you how many killers just don't register that I hopped into a locker, even during chase while injured thanks to Lucky Star
Champion of Light is a good perk, 20% hindered at a pallet blind is pretty massive imo, plus the haste is nice. I've been using it with Fixated and Sprint Burst

I’d actually hard disagree with this. It took me like 3 hours to beat Melania, the hardest boss in Elden Ring with the most intricate mechanics, it took me probably another 5-10 hours to flawless her.
It takes an average dbd player hundreds and thousands of hours to even optimize pathing, let alone the many intricacies with chase.
When holding shift+w and running forward is still one of the strongest things you can do as a survivor, the skill ceiling is shallow

An interesting point of view, I would argue a game that requires over 1000 hours just to no longer be considered a newb, and a game where even a tiny inefficiency in positioning and movement can cost 10s of seconds for either side to be quite a significant skill ceiling.
It feels like Chess to me, something you can get the idea of and progress quickly, learn a few key moves and openings/playstyles and artificially climb with that particular strategy, before then hitting a wall where suddenly your strategy doesn't really work anymore. You then have to start expanding to learn new strategies, where you take an initial dip as you learn, and then constantly rubber band up and down and keep learming and tryimg new things...
Eventually you get to point where you have seen majority of combinations and strategies in play, and have a pretty solid idea of everything... and that's when you get REALLY good... but you'll never truly master everything, there will always be something someone can pull to surprise you and catch you off guard.
Hard disagree
Things like learning to fly properly in Rocket League or knowing the frame data of every fighting game character so you know what moves beat theirs or which moves are safe/unsafe on block or memorizing attack patterns in a From Soft game, etc. All require more skill than running in a circle and pressing a button at the right time
-
I don't know, I think compared to other games, DbD has a fairly low skill ceiling, mechanically it's pretty simple, and I feel like perks and killer powers aren't complicated to explain or understand. The most difficult thing is learning tiles, but even that isn't too hard to get after some time
-
Could be a swf, but game doesn't tell you that either lol

What? Worse than Demos portals? dude Xeno has probably the best map mobility... Not only are the portals nicely spread, the layout is only confusing if you don't select the portal you want to go to before entering, the speed is nice, you instantly get your power back and what not... The Xeno portals are great and I wish demos were more than this, so no more lenghty setup of portals.
The tail attack is more powerfull than Nemesis tentacle since he can hit overstuff Nemesis cannot. If you get burned out of crawler mode just re-enter the tunnels and in 3 seconds you have your power back, also with addons to make the turrets weaker you basically don't care about them at all.
I don't think Xeno needs anything, maybe some bugs fixed, but no buffs or anything, he is already one of the 10 best killers in the game.
I don't know, I'd rather have to place the portals, but be able to place them where I want then for them to be preplaced, there's tricky things you can do with demo portals that you can't do with Xeno. While it's true you can highlight portals, it's cluncky, often times you'll highlight a portal you weren't meaning to, also because of trying to detect survivors, you'll often be looking up anyway trying to see people.
What can Xeno hit over that nemi can't? It can't be much to make a big difference, and even still, the attack recovery and the breaking of pallets and walls still makes it better imo. More imoprtantly, it's just such a basic thing, certainly we can make Xeno more unique than just a tail attack.

Yeah, I ignored this point because it is a bad point. I have seen Killers still winning despite making a lot of mistakes (obviously the Survivors did not play well either...). Heck, I also have won games which I should not have won.
But I have also seen Survivor Teams fall apart because of a mistake.
The narrative that Survivors can make a lot of mistakes and still escape and Killers cannot make a single small mistake, otherwise they lose is honestly just told by Killer Mains with less than 500 hours...
As someone with 3k hours on both sides, it's a story that's told because it's true lol

I have probably more hours on Killer alone than many other players in total. And while I would not consider myself good (I think I verse better Killers than I am myself), I win more than I lose, which would mean that my MMR should be at least above average. So saying that I dont play Killer is quite wrong.
And when it comes to mistakes - you never see people writing here that they made mistakes. They lose the game because of Perks, Maps, whatever. But this goes for both sides, the DBD-Community as a whole is unable to think "Hm... Maybe I did not play THAT well".
Then you are not playing against good survivors
Also completely ignored my point that survivors can make all the mistakes in the world and still get out while the killer misses one attack or hits the wrong survivor once and the essentially lose

Have you factored in your skill yet? Or are we gonna keep regurgitating that survivors are "too strong"?
I have probably 3k hours between pc and ps4, yes I make mistakes, yes sometimes I play poorly, but the point no one has addressed yet is that Survivors can make a ton of mistakes and still be fine, Killer on the other hand can't make mistakes without basically losing the game

I mean, I know that I will have a two-digit number of notifications tomorrow because many of you want to claim that Killer is not strong because you lose a game sometimes, but the Killrates are above 50%. This means that, despite all the mental gymnastics Killers on this forum go through, Killer is doing fine.
If you think that Killer is "not strong at all really", then you might consider that you are "not strong at all really" at playing this game as Killer?
I rarely see Killer Mains in this forum to actually admit that they do mistakes. Recent example was one who got mindgamed and said that the Survivors exploit the new, barely useful, Anti-Camping Mechanic.
Kill rates are like that because of bad survivors, if every survivor was good they would not be like that lol. I don't think you play Killer a lot or are playing against bad survivors if you think Killer is fine
And I consider my viewpoint from Killer and survivor as I have said before, I play both sides (as everyone should, we would have a more balanced game)
And Killers do make mistakes, the difference is that Killer mistakes are detrimental and game costing while survivors can make a lot of mistakes and still escape just fine

Survivor will always be the easier role. This is a 4v1, obviously the side with only 1 person will have it harder. And this is why this side is also a bit stronger (even if Forum Killers claim otherwise), more interesting (more variety since every Killer has a different ability) and grants more rewards.
Killers aren't a "bit" stronger. They're not strong at all really. If Survivors are efficient at holding m1, it doesn't matter how strong or how good the killer is. That is a problem
-
@Aven_Fallen said:

Yep. Killers want Survivors as point-providers. Some meatbags. And if they dont get a 4K, they throw a tantrum.
(You see this with every new addition which is first complained about and then it is good. E.g. Bots which replace DCed Survivors. Killers complained about it, but once they realized that the Bot is not helpful for the Survivors but more points for the Killer, they like it. Same with the Anti-Camp - it is almost useless, so they like it. )
Literally everything is in the survivors favor. I play both sides and survivor is by far the easier of the two. That needs to change
-
30 more seconds to gens (adding 10 seconds was a joke)
Actually make the maps less safe instead of just moving the god pallets from where there were to somewhere else
No more toolbox repair for gens
-
I've wondered that myself, or survivors just want to play gen repair Sim 2023.
Like, it is wild that tool boxes can still repair gens (gen repair speed should be a perk only thing. Period.) And map offerings are still in the game (which survivors use a lot, to make their already easy role that much easier) and still a majority of them will complain when the killer actually catches them or act like gods because they can hold W and run a correct path while their team holds M1 on gens.

Yeah, I got one who body blocked the upstairs room to the East. Pretty annoying, but you know, from playing Nemesis a lot, they mostly get stuck on walls or trees where nobody is ever going to be. I just take it as, "that's unlucky" and move on because rng gonna rng.
It's not just "annoying" it's completely broken, sections of the map shouldn't just be blocked off by buggy AI. Fix it, or just have them not spawn on inside maps.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
They still get stuck on stuff outside. I am not sure how difficult it would be to fix, but does it even matter? It is not as though it will ever happen.
It's mostly a non issue on outside maps due to how large they are but on inside maps the can get stuck on doorways and basically block that whole door off as a result.
And it literally just happend to me on RPD, a zombie got stuck on the little broken wall that leads into the main opening of the map and survivors could not walk through it without taking a hit from the zombie
-
So my only real complaint with Wesker is that sometimes when he grabs a survivor they just take no damage for whatever reason
-
With there being no way to see my MMR and it being really confusing how it works (People say its kills vs escapes but I remember in a dev stream BHVR said it wasn't so I have no clue)
And with how my team plays in solo queue, MMR might as well be a myth to me until I can see some form of evidence that it's actually doing something
Personally, putting MMR in something as flawed as this game is just a bad idea anyway
-
His run is weird and gving him a knife in general is weird, Wesker never had any need for a weapon because of how physically strong and fast he was
-
The only buff I'd say is that BTN stays until the survivor goes down. The perk is already situational and then you have killers like Legion and Plague that make it a dead perk basically
-
The simply solution is for the game to reward hooks more than kills. ( And then balance the game so killers can actually go for multiple hooks reliably)

Well I am comfortable playing and winning with her, that's all. And you don't see even on the screenshots me being blamed for slugging or camping. But of course you can imagine anything you want and add it to the story lol.
In any case, Since I main her lately, I play against swf-s quite often also, fully equipped, ready to make my game difficult. And I still enjoy playing Sadako, and I don't really fail much in my games. I'm not sure why you dislike if people say they are doing well with this killer, you don't need to jump to conclusions, if you don't perform well playing Sadako. Not everyone is you.
As I said, the only thing I would like to change is probably her directional lullaby, because that's a bit annoying, but otherwise I'm happy with this killer and my winrate using Sadako
Do you realy think that I would main her nowadays if she would be that bad? What am I? A voluntary self punisher in your opinion? :))
I don't know what's going on in your games, you're correct. I make the assumptions I make from persona experience, and anytime I see a TV when I load in I automatically know it's going to be an easy, relaxing game, and I'm never wrong on this.
I never feel threatened by her, and I see her only get 2-3 hooks and usually she is forced to camp/tunnle for 1 kill. If she gets anymore than that it's because my team throws really hard.

I have the same issues like I have with any other killer. and I manage them.
and not playing against good survivors? what do you mean? You think Sadako's mmr is turned off and I always get "bad survivors" in order to win my games? It doesn't really make any sense, does it?
I'm getting good survivors all the time since my own winrate is quite very high with Sadako. Don't worry I'm aware who I'm playing against. If you enjoy playing a killer, you can get quite good managing it's drawbacks
Posting screenshots of a 4k means nothing because we don't get to see what leads up to that lol. (Could have slugged/campped/tunnled etc)
Like, you can like the killer, you can find her fun, but she's not good, no matter how you try to rationalize it

This is what you call "SKILL ISSUE" and both of you sound upset about Nurse because you can't play against her the BNB way! Nurse is beatable, the skill issue here is that, y'all don't wanna change your playstyle to try and beat her.

This is the same argument that some people use to say that Nurse needs a basekit nerf: the top player in the world got a huge winstreak. By this same logic, Sadako needs a basekit nerf.
The very top players will always be statistical outliers, and it's fallacious to try to argue a killer's relative strength from those data points. The #1 Clown player probably pub-stomps too.
It's also worth noting how many times did he have to camp/tunnel to achive the wins

Yeah, this shows how immature can the community be sometimes. Always when nurse and blight are involved.
I'd much rather play against Blight, his power doesn't invalidate loops completely and it's much more interesting to mind game
@YuisPinkBob said:
I adore playing as and against Nurse. I really don't get all the Nurse hate.
So the only survivor-killer interaction that survivors get (other than being hit/hooked) is looping. Nurse completely removes that option from the game and it boils down to holding shift+W all game, trying to break line of sight and trying to bait your movement. Which isn't impossible but heavily relies on the Nurse skill level, and if she's skilled you're gonna have a hard time with it.
Plus her lunge just looks off visually, I don't question getting hit by other killers, but Nurse will lunge and look like she hits air but I'll still take damage, which is annoying.

Well I have been going against good survivors. I can't avoid that after playing her quite a while
Actually the new awful RPD map was quite good on her, having a smaller multilevel area where she has no problem moving around, and because of the TV-s being closer grouped up since the size of the map is smaller, I was able to remove her TR quite a bit making her a quite scary killer
She's especially good on smaller maps like RPD and Midwitch, but I have no problems on others either.
If you're not having issues on other maps, you're not playing against good survivors. (Or you're camping/tunneling real hard)

Sadako isn't the best killer for sure. But she's far from being the worst. Plus this game isn't our "job". People play because they have fun. And Sadako is very fun to play in my opinion. I like her very much. I grind for her bloody clothes right now. GOTTA HAVE THEM!
Maybe it would be nice for her directional lullaby to be removed, and devs should take a look at her underwhelming addons, but otherwise she is really fun to play
She's really fun, until you start going against good survivors, then you're an M1 killer with no power playing pallet break sim 2022

i am glad you're having fun with her, i just hope bhvr gives her some love in the future so she's accessible to more people.
idk how tho it'd be a difficult task and just changing some numbers would be lame.
plus idk if her mains even think she needs anything haha.
I mean just turning off the dumb static lullaby would be a step in the right direction
-
So everything about Sadako can be ignored or countered. You can turn off her map mobility (quite literally) which no other mobility killers have to deal with. Her curse passive is laughable, you can ignore it all game basically, her stealth is given away by the static lullaby and she still has to unphase to hit you.
T3 Myers is actually threatening, especially if he's running bamboozle, while Sadako doesn't feel threatening at any point in the game
