Stop the arguments and stop taking sides. Let's become one in the community and not take this game as seriously as we do currently. We can have fun that way!
Aw, wait...
This thread didn't work?
Welp, it was worth a shot.
If you want peace with me all you need to do is boop my snoot.
My nose itches so darned much that it makes me want to put improvised bear traps on people's heads.
Gimme a scratch and I'll feel far more magnanimous.

They arent fair but that's old shack I'm talking about an example that is within the old vaults limits.
The medium vault isnt balanced nor fair. If the survivor is taking steps regardless sof what you feel or think and the weapon is no where close to him they should not be getting hit that is not fair.
Yeah vault build is strong and when you say it's frustrating to be beaten while making a good read its frustrating to know you are safe make the vault then get hit due to poor game design.
Never said increase vault speed I want the hitbox to actually follow where the survivor is so unfair hits actually stop happening. You are clearly accustomed to it that's why you rather them stay.
You're not wrong when you say it's what I'm accustomed too, but faster vaults would mean briefer hitboxes, which is what you're arguing for.
I've always viewed medium vault hitboxes as allowing them to hit you OVER the window. Medium-vaulting doesn't just slow you down, it gets you less distance from the window. For some reason a lot of survivors see windows as some impenetrable wall that killers cannot hit through, but - y'know - they can. I've always felt that the trailing hitboxes on medium vaults are allowing killers to hit you over the window just as you reach the other side.

That distance is way too close even for the older vaults think of the meat tree wall that prevents fast vaults that's how close you could be to get it. I dont want fast vaults that close thsts unfair.
Yeah, it wouldn't be fair. The old killer shacks weren't fair either. But you wanted an example, and so I provided one.
Overall I think that while the medium-vault hotboxes don't make much sense from the survivor's perspective they're balanced pretty well (latency/dedicated issues aside). Ive been going against a lot of vault builds recently (spine chill + resilience), and it can be very frustrating that these players seem to have i-frames while vaulting windows and can just mindlessly huck themselves over vaults even when I read them perfectly. If every survivor could do that by default then playing killer would be much MUCH harder.

No the only infinite it could create is fun bus which is already an infinite with fixated. Give me an example of an infinite it could create. It damn sure never made meat tree an infinite you would have to shift tech but I dont think it would be possible.
The main building of Grim Pantry, which has two open windows right next to each other. If you could fast vault both windows from either side the killer would either have to walk around to the other side of the wall (and you could fast vault back), or they would have to vault a window (and you could vault back through the other window). Short of mindgaming them around a corner and hoping they screw up there would be no way to catch them.
I bring this up because when the game first launched killer shacks had two windows and were infinites for survivors.

Every game I have played today on ending I have asked a simple question how many are SWF. Of those that respond 100% have said they are in SWF be it 2 man, 3 man. I think the community would be surprised on the actual scale of how many play SWF if stats were released.
I've Made a habit for the past 6 months of checking the Steam profiles of every survivor to get an idea of how many SWFs I'm going against. The results (all from red rank games) are:
20% of games are all solo survivors.
25% of games have 2 survivors together.
30% of games have 3 survivors together.
15% of games are a 4 man squad.
Yes, I know those numbers don't add up to 100%. A lot of people keep their steam profiles private, so I don't often know for sure without asking. Also, I frequently see teams that are 2 groups of 2 and I don't know how to classify that.
Also worth mentioning that I'm seeing a lot more solo teams since crossplay.

Comms are openly allowed. Get over it. And post with your real account next time.
I wouldn't say comms are ALLOWED, since you have to use a 3rd-party app like Discord to do it. If the devs wanted people on comms they'd just implement voice chat in-game (or through Steam) like every other multiplayer game on the market.
I still don't mind SWFs on comms, because mostly they're just friends who want to chat while they play. It gives them an advantage, but then again they're going to need an advantage if they're playing against me. Hi. I consider myself a really good killer.
But then again (again), you sometimes see teams on comms that are using it like a weapon; calling out my location to each other like they're playing Rainbow Six Siege. Often they'll have someone with OoO so that the entire team knows my location for the entire match. This is mostly what killer mains complain about when they're talking about SWFs on comms. It makes for very stressful matches and those survivors are always ALWAYS toxic.
So no, voice chat is not 'allowed', but outside of extreme situations we mostly don't care.

We were never born killers. We were made into killers by countless tea bagging, flash lights and DS stab wounds :P
We are products of our environment and this environment is extremely salty.
Nothing switches on my sweat glands faster than seeing map offerings and keys before the match even begins.
You bring me streamers? You get the hatch. You click your flashlight at me? You get the hook.

I just now bought Michael so I was only using BBQ on him. No offerings. Maybe it was just a glitch? Idk
As has been said, the survivors may have brought offerings like streamers or birthday cake. Those you extra BP as well and can stack with each other. I would just tip your hat to the sirvivors, take your points, and go roll around in a bloodweb for a while.
-
Were you using BBQ? 4 stacks on BBQ will double your BP, meaning the max of 32k goes up to a max of 64k. Throw in an offering for extra Blood Points and 70k is definitely reachable.

Had a really bad day at work and wanted to take some frustrations out. Loaded in as rank 13 pallet Freddy with an ebony. With noed and blood warden. Didnt tunnel off hook. Got a full team of rank 4-5.
Morid first guy as last gen popped. He DC'd. One left with key found in game. Other 2 tbagged on the way out. Didnt help my frustrations lol.
Karma is a #########!
The other day I played a Bubba match against a group of complete potatoes who just camped pallets all game. And I lost, because they just never ran out of safe pallets to camp (damn you, Blood Lodge!)
Then I felt bad for losing to potatoes. At least they didn't tbag.

I haven't had to play much killer to learn that lesson. I've already had a whole squad of red rank swfs come through my lobby. It didn't take long, either. Little shits running around, trying to copy moves from their favorite YouTubers because they can't come up with anything orginal. The ones who are overly toxic in the match then even more so in chat afterwards because I didn't play along, thinking they've really done something when they're not as good as they think they are.... My band-aid got ripped off pretty early on.. These days if I even suspect swf or see a lobby of 3-4 flashlights, I'm outta there. ######### that. But yeah, I can 100% see why killer mains feel the way they do.
I feel like I owe survivor streamers some Thank You notes for teaching people these tricks and gimmicks. These days I'm constantly going against would-be bully squads armed with all the latest 'techs', but lack the basic fundamentals to actually play well. They seem constantly flabbergasted that I can counter their tricks - or at least learn and adapt instead of getting tilted and making the same mistake over and over again.
And the salt! I don't normally like to engage in schadenfreude, but their salt is the seasoning for pure joy.

I spend 99% of my time playing survivor, so my killer rank has never gone beyond 19-20. I mainly just play for fun or when I have a daily ritual or something. I won't be destroying any red rank swf groups anytime soon, but I do ok. Tonight, I got a group of survivors that I could tell were fairly new... and I mean brand new... 3 out of 4 were opening up DBD for the first time new (I didn't know that until after the match). After 3 were dead, I found the 4th still working on generators when most would have been scouring the map trying to find hatch (which I had found and closed, eventually). After I downed her, it dawned on me. This baby Meg probably doesn't even know what a hatch is. So, I picked her up and walked over to the door and let her wiggle off but she was so scared that she immediately ran. I just stood there watching, as she frantically dropped pallets along the way, thinking I was after her. She ended up letting the timer run out, I'm guessing because she was too afraid to try to open the other door. Had I known they were brand new I probably would have gone easier on all of them tbh.
Sorry for the novel but I needed context for my question, which is - Does anyone else ever feel bad like that? Or do you take a more 'rip the band-aid off' approach?
I feel bad going against survivor babies All. The. Time.
They really don't deserve to get matched with lil' old me, the rank 1 killer with 2k hours. I try to be nice and as chill as possible and give them some hands-on lessons (in murder), but I'm also not willing to wait 30 minutes for them to grow a pair and do the gens.
This is why we need a working MMR ASAP.

You are affected by the Broken Status Effect for the duration of the Trial. Your thick blood coagulates practically instantly.
- You do not leave Pools of Blood
- Grunts of Pain caused by injuries are reduced by 0/25/50 % at any time.
- Grants the ability to fully recover from the Dying State
Let's ignore the noise reduction for a moment to consider that this perk removes the pools of blood that would normally appear for an injured survivor. What confuses me is that Oni somehow reaches into an inter-dimensional plane where he miraculously gobbles up my nonexistent / instantaneously coagulated blood. Can we like, not let Oni slurp me from the 5th dimension so I have more time to tbag at pallets?
Cool, thanks.
No Mither is such a handicap for the survivor using it that you almost never see it anyways.
I've only ever had one match with more than one No Mither: two toxic SWFs sabo'ed the only nearby hook (this was back when hooks took 3 minutes to respawn), then ran to the corner of the map any time I got close. I just kept coming back periodically to slug them and regress the gen they were working on. They ended up accomplishing nothing, as they failed to complete even that single gen. One of them bled out in the corner (lol!). The other got one-hooked when the nearby hook respawned because their teammates hated them so much they refused to help.
Long story short, I vote we just let the mithers mith.

It's nice to see the BHVR is fat shaming survivors too now.

I've been trying to make friends with killers all morning now but when I jokingly hide in a bush with my neon outfit or point and wave at them they usually just kill me. Any advice?
By this do you mean that you want killer to give you hatch?
As a rank 1 killer I'll usually give hatch if survivors aren't BMing (herein described as clicking flashlights and tbagging) and don't send me to Ormond or Haddonfield.
But then again not every killer likes to do that, so don't set any expectations that they're supposed to let you go or anything. It's their objective to hook you, after all.
My advice, as always, is to focus less on surviving and more on having fun during the match. If getting chummy with the killer is your thing then knock yourself out.

Hi
When i playing vs Doc very rare i can escape. So when you trying to vault window or dropping pallet you can't because you are in shock for a lot of time so this is ######### you can't vault you can't drop you can't use Dead Hard! The Doctor should be nurf!!!😤
A common mistake I see survivors make is that they'll sit at a pallet/window after they get zapped because they panic. Remember that Doc gets slowed down when he uses his shock therapy. You can usually just run another loop around the pallet and still get back to it. Yeah, he can zap you again, but then you can loop the pallet again and he'll only gain a crumb of distance on you. Rinse and repeat. Keep in mind that Doc will have to perfectly time every single shock therapy in order to close the distance and score a hit. This can take quite a while if you play it smart, and if he screws up even a single time you can drop the pallet and all that time he spent will have been wasted.
There's also a brief delay between when Doc's shock therapy hits you and when you get stunned. You can still drop pallets and vault windows for about a quarter second after you scream, so even if he zaps you when you're sitting at the window/pallet you still have options.
You can even dodge his shock therapy if you're on the other side of a loop, but this is not a universally reliable strat.
So yeah, Doc is very strong in chase, but he's by no means OP. As always, I recommend buying him and trying him out to get a feel for his powers. The more experience you get in both roles the more comfortable you'll feel playing against him.

As a rank 1 killer allow me to assure you that this fairly common and is not at all cause to be alarmed. Killers almost always have a chance to mount a comeback, even when the gens are done and the gates opened.
It's worth remembering that at the start of the match you will have 4 healthy survivors with 7 different gens they could be working on. You'll almost always lose the first 1-2 (or even 3) gens pretty quickly. But as the match continues and you get more and more injures and downs and hooks, survivors will need to spend more and more time rescuing and healing each other. This means less time spent doing gens. And with fewer gens left you'll be spending less time patrolling for survivors and can create map pressure more easily.
Don't get dismayed! Keep your cool and get busy murdering. Win or lose, the rest will sort itself out.

Well now I don't even have to DC in order to make the item disappear, that's awesome! Bing bong, your key is now gone.
I'm curious to know if despawning an item with Franklins would make a survivor lose it even if they bring a white ward.
If so, that would be... totally awesome. Too bad about that insta-heal mate. It's mounted on my wall now.

They have serious mental problems, i'm pretty sure
Why is this such a bad thing? I consider it my primary source of entertainment as killer to screw with survivors' febrile little brains. And it's not like skilled survivors can't turn the table with perks like Diversion, Red Herring, Quick and Quiet, Dance With Me, Head On, Mettle of Man, and Saboteur (just to name a few). Not to mention all the crazy gimmicks and techs that people learn from streamers and youtubers.
This game is at its best when both sides are mindgaming the other, not just running circles around pallets on autopilot for 10 minutes. Learn to love the chaos.

Hot Take: Ruin wasn’t nerfed it’s better now.
Before the Survivors would all go on a totem hunt and cleanse it early in the match because it was so powerful that it rarely stayed in play long enough to get more value than a perk like Corrupt Intervention. Good luck with your Ruin lasting longer than two minutes at red ranks.
Now, sometimes Survivors think they can just power through Ruin and don’t look for it, which can cost them multiple generators worth of progress in regression and effectively make them need to complete 7-8 generators instead of just 5.
Basically, old Ruin was so oppressive that Survivors pretty much insta-cleansed it and it was a #1 priority. New Ruin isn’t seen as such an immediate threat so it can do some serious damage and lasts much longer usually.
I tend to agree. As someone who mostly plays killer I was very afraid when they announced the Ruin change, because I thought I needed Ruin to slow down gens enough to win. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this was not the case, and that I could now create builds with 4 perks rather than 3 perks and Ruin. Sometimes it's nice to be proven wrong.
When I do use new Ruin (and when it's not destroyed in 10 seconds) it doesn't just slow gens, it regresses them even more effectively than Pop if you're playing well and generating map pressure.
Interestingly, I've seen a lot of weaker survivors recently who are afraid to let go of M1 and lose their gen progress, so they will basically let their teammates die while they complete their OBJ. All I can say to this is: Jesus I hope we get a working MMR soon.

The whole point of Iron Will is to remove your injured sounds. Stridor overrides that? BS. What other situation does this scenario even really possibly pertain to? Spirit ABUSES this technicality. It's way too easy to win as Spirit to begin with, then you nullify her one counter perk?
Who at BHVR has a rager for her so f'n hard?
Stridor doesn't actually "override" Iron Will. You'll still be much quieter than if you didn't have Iron Will, you just won't be completely mute against a killer that primarily hunts using sound.
I had a group of salty survivors get mad at me for playing Stridor Spirit the other day. Thing was, none of them was even using Iron Will, so it was basically just a wasted perk slot.
There's this weird idea among survivors that certain killers like Spirit are just completely free 4Ks. As someone who plays every killer I guarantee you this is not the case. Think about it: if any killer had a 100% winning track record the devs would know and change them.
I do quite well against Spirit even without Iron Will because I know her ability and limitations quite well. If you're struggling against any given killer I recommend you play that killer for a bit. Spirit is def strong, but she's not the easiest to play and she's punished hard if she misses with her power.

I didn't say I hear it every time. I said I hear it very occasionally, usually from SWF teams.

Freddy does NOT have a longer lunge than other killers. Every killer has the same lunge range, except Myers who has sad whiffy lunges at Evil 1 and big Super Saiyan lunges at Evil 3.
