@TheUnendingNightmare Whatever higher-up believes that this community is helpful once a match actually begins obviously needs to play a heck of a lot more. 😂
Ikr but I'm just trying to make it more fun for newbies xD
Like I hate seeing a rank 7 run to a rank 20 when being chased with bonds just so the killer switch target.
It makes me feel bad! We aren't suppose to be the monsters! XD

Leatherface and the cannibal? 😂😂
Idk why you laugh when they are the only killers I come accros in purple and red ranks.
Also this wasn't really a comment about their strenghts but rather their mechanics. I could laugh you think Freddy is strong you know. xD

Yeah me too XD More than 3 blinks is broken and unnecessary. I say that as a Nurse main myself. 3 ones on some maps are okay (like Lery's or the Game) but i think they should at least change the 3rd blink addon rarity.
I main the Hag and definetly understand the teleportation fun mayhem but it can get pretty chaotic. XD
Especially since has oppose to the Hag you don't need someone to step on a trap to teleport to it. My only add-on allowing free teleportation is purple or red and has a 15s cooldown.
But again...Nurse is much too hard to nerf imo. :P

Right now, Demogorgon is the only one with Undetectable status effect on his power. Demogorgon and Freddy are also the only ones with Oblivious status effect on their kit.
Yeah that's what ppl SAY but when you look at the oblivious and undetectable description...that's exactly what i said. You can test it in custom games if you don't believe me.
-
@Kilmeran said:
@TheUnendingNightmare That's what I thought. Typically people just say "I was reset back down to . . ." I wasn't sure if you meant that, or being synced with lowbies via matchmaker.
If you were Rank 1 reset to Rank 20, that was several months of not playing. So yeah, that'll happen. And it's stupid that a Rank 1 can get reset all the way to 20. There should be a limit, for example: A rank 1 can never go below Rank 10.
I wasn't 1 tbh but 4 and was sync to 13 bc I haven't played last month and the the dlc came out.
But yeah definetly agree this shouldn't happen. Although I am now sending messages to higher ups I see "remember at those ranks we have to help them not just juke and loop". XD
-
Well since Freddy can now negate BT and aura reading perks I think it's a fair trade.
Also, OoO being useful for once ? I also don't mind.
(From a red rank on both sides)
-
Nope BUT a purple or red add-on doing this I wouldn't mind.
-
Well I wouldn't say to nerf since the Nurse is usually so bad or rather hard to play with. Although I will say that when a Nurse blink more than 3 times I do get scared a bit.

Thanks for the tips, I can do that pretty good (as already mentioned)
you do not even need spine chill or premonition for this.
the problem is that it happens „rarely“ that the killer can see both gate-switches from one position. Here you have no chance with your strategy or any other strategy. And even though it happens not every game it happens often enough.
Like I also mentionned, it doesn't happen that often. Most likely you have time to escape.
Also, if you prefered the hatcht escape I believe now "left behind" or something was rework to show the hatcht aura when within a certain distance during end game.
-
Also, oblivious does not prevent the use of sensory/aura reading perks I think, has opposed to undetectable. Keep that in mind if you have a lot of trouble with that status effect.
-
Those are not even new statuses...
Undetectable is a slightly buffed version of Myers stalk, that now if I'm not mistaken, all stalking killer uses.
Oblivious was the old Pig stalk. Which has a stalk mode was weak af but is really strong has a status. I personnaly don't mind has this just mean more diverse killer pool for us higher up.
-
@Kilmeran said:
@TheUnendingNightmare What do you mean by "sync down?"
Idk how to be more specific...when your rank gets reset for updates or on the 13th of each months.

Again, it is not that rare really. I can escape with hiding and partially opening the gates pretty good, but that „rare“ scenario is not rare for me and there is no possibility to escape at all. Only option is to hide and feed the killer points with EGC or start gate/chase and feed the killer points. Nothing is in for the surv.
i think a maximum and minimum distance defined for every Killer individually would be great. That way the high mobility killers wouldn’t be in that much of an advantage over the others, which can be a problem as well.
Really it isn't look,
My build idk if it'll help;
1- Selfcare
2- Urban evasion
3- Sprint burst
4- Premonition (or Spine chill but I prefer premonition bc it doesn't trigger random hard skillchecks)
Basically if you are unlucky enough to be the last survivor. Whilst the Killer is carrying the last survivor runnto the door furthest from them. Once the person is dead 99% sure the killer is now looking for the hatcht and once he finds it he'll close it.
Start opening the door whilst keeping an eye with you premonition for the killer. If it trigger go hide(not a locker) and wait for them to go patrol the other door. If they aren't leaving start walking to the other door he probably won't even go thinking you won't leave the one almost done.
-
Well ranks has a whole are kinda ######### up.
For example I'm a red rank on both sides but got sync down to 20 bc of the update. Clearly I do not have any problem to deal with killers at this rank and can even bully them.
They shouldn't sync down ranks so much imo. Maybe there would be less problems especially when the actual system ######### up.
-
Soooo you're complaining one of the worst killer in the game is now a good one ?
Leatherface and the Cannibal can easily prevent any use of DH so idk why this would be so scandalous. Also, Myers completly prevent any use of all sensory/aura reading perks.
That's just how certain killers work.
-
Yeah just ignore this survivor.
You have to think tactic. Why would you run after the survivor Who OBVIOUSLY want to be chased ? Most likely he is use to chases and will probably be able to loop much more reliably than other survivors on his team.
Usually ignoring him/her will allow you to down another survivor which will most likely cause the loop king/queen to come to you for a flashlight save or something like that. Avoid pallets while carrying a survivor and if you see anyone approach you with a flashlight usually a single hit will be enough to make them abandon their teammate.
-
It IS annoying af BUT you can learn to deal with it. Like a good work around a survivor you know has dead hard is to hit them when they are vaulting since they can't deadhard.
Lure them towards a vault heavy area and then when they loop thinking they've won STRIKE!
XD

Just because you get lucky so often does not mean more unexperienced players should not have any chance in this situation. I also do not understand how I can hide while EGC has triggered and the killer can literally stand between the two gates and see them. It’s not like he has any reason to go away.
it is also not really rare to happen and in most cases the killer already had an easy game.
I did not say the survivor should have a guaranteed escape in this case, btw. But the killer shouldn’t have a guaranteed kill either.
Again it's really rare that you got that kind of door placement. Also, I am never ever lucky.
You need map and LoS awarness. Just like me with juking maybe you need more training in that aspect of the game.
P.S sorry for last message, it sounded a bit harsh but I seriously don't understand how this could be an issue.

Snares are where it's at.
Don't get me wrong snares are nice but dream pallets are so much more... rewarding!
-
Definetly go for pallet Freddy if anything just for the sweet moments ppl butt dance near your dream pallets just before dying! XD
Also, remember to use "fake" teleport nearby a gen so ppl come hug you :)
-
Survivor (Meg) the medium;
1- Selfcare
2- Sprint burst
3- Urban evasion
4- Premonition (+)
I made it to red rank with that build. :)
Killer (Hag) the forrest witch;
1- Hex: Ruins
2- Hex: Thrill of the hunt
3- Unrelenting
4- Spies from the shadow (+)
Also made it to red rank with that build. :3
Those are in no way optimal builds but I had a lot of fun and great games with them!
-
Not bad imo
-
Personaly I started with the Nurse and almost went crazy. Then I switched to the Hag and LOVED IT!
-
Look...you can either go crazy with it or learn to deal with it...
This single truth may force you to change main killer or to work on killers you don't like to get good meta perks on your dream killer.
I know it isn't a fun fact but if you want to have fun you have to be willing to put in the work required.
(Red rank)

Sounds like gen rush meta makes this perk problematic.
I do have an idea to fix this and will update the OP accordingly. Thanks for the feedback <3
Yeah and with "Stronger together" + the "Darksense" rework it's going to be even worst.

That would be too intense and fairly unbalanced, I think maybe it's slightly fainter or smaller.
Not really gens are already easy enough to rush. Also, this was just a thought clearly not a fleshed out idea.

No offense, that was some lucky game you had because they could have checked your Exit Gate first, and Wake Up doesn't make you Exit Gates open in 13 seconds. That's approximately a 53.84% opening speed increase, and Wake Up only has a 15% opening speed increase. :)
Sorry if this sound really harsh, but just because your tactic works doesn't justify Exit Gates spawning in the killer's LoS.
Dude just hide around if you hear the killer coming and then go back on the door when he leave for the other door or hatch.
Also, 20 ÷ 2 (or 50%) is 10 so clearly not 53% for 13 that would be more like 43% anyways that wasn't even my point. If you read up I said to use wake up but clearly you can feel I don't even think it is necessary.
Point was ... well I guess, get good ? Tbh doors spawning together happen so rarely and mostly on one or two maps.

When your teammates always either fail skillchecks or go looking for it, then with Demogorgan it's a problem. Also, in case you haven't seen, some rank one survivors have actually had to go look for Ruin constantly because on PS4 they cannot hit ruin skillchecks to save their lives.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/698448#Comment_698448
Hag requires someone to step on them, unless she has an ultra rare addon that I've rarely even seen used, and her traps don't give a notification if you flashlight them. In addition, her power is LITERALLY only that, she gets nothing else. Demogorgan has 2 powers, 3 if you count the passive seeing people destroying his buttholes.
Hag: Hag...good...always bring...friend perk...Thrill of the...huuuunt...but worst...who say's... it's...real totems ? ;)
-
How about 1/2 times the survivors can't see skillchecks ? Or something like that ? Now THAT would be good.
-
They probably wouldn't do it bc gen rush is already super toxic higher ups and the devs are trying to balance it (not really) but I really like the idea!
If "Up the ante" would work this way I'd probably use it.
-
Also, wake up change the 20s opening gate time to roughly 13s. Pretty effective when you are already in front of the door waiting for the killer to close the hatch.
Although, I'm an immersed red rank player so staying hidden when the killer is patroling nearby is what I do so maybe it is too hard for ppl not has stealthy idk.

Wake Up doesn't even make that much of a difference to be honest.
With some mathematics, you're opening the Exit Gates at a rate of 1.15 charges every second. Therefore, 20 divided by 1.15 equals 17.39 seconds to open them. If both Exits Gates spawn close together, you're not getting them open unless the killer is wanting you to escape. :)
https://xboxclips.com/NMCKE/8ccab0da-dc39-45a1-afeb-6a796fee4f7c
Exit Gates spawned practically across the map, and I was barely able to escape. There are so many factors to consider when you're attempting to escape.
I literally JUST did it.
-
@NMCKE said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/698523#Comment_698523
This should never be the case, the survivor shouldn't have to say, "Sucks... killer has both Exit Gates in LoS, time to let them sacrifice me because I have no chance." And the killer shouldn't have to say, "I have to walk across the map to check both Exit Gates, they escape, GG."
There should be both a maximum and minimum spawning distance between Exit Gates. :)
Use wake Up...idk why you guys have so much trouble with this...this is never an issue for me...

That’s not true at all.. you can get lucky here but definitely not that often..
No I literally do it all the time. If you keep getting caught idk equip wake up.
-
It's like 15$ in Canada so probably even less in the U.S
Also, to me it sounds more like you need to play a few games has survivors and then watch guides for the killers you like.
-
No.
Instead of looking for the hatch when you are the last one alive, go for the nearest door and wait for the killer to close the hatch, 9/10 you have enough time to open the door.

As I said, only two killers was affected with new status effects. Pig is still old pig.
Really ? I expected them to give her undetectable stalk and oblivious on succesful charge hit.

New statuses was only added to demogorgon and Freddy. None of other killers have it (yet?).
Still since her stalk is now a status effect she must use the stronger stalk variant no ?

That's kinda silly, the odds of losing a killer mod chase are low. Using a perk to escape should be a good thing, but apparently the no heal gen rush meta is staying because perks like this can't keep up
Idk what you're talking about. I'm red rank and use an immersion build/perks and rarely ever Loop or juke.
This could help when moving around a gen when trying to mind trick the killer and stay in their blind side. Although you could easily run "Urban evasion" to achieve the same result.
Big thing here I guess is that it also allows you to see your own scratch marks so you can more reliably and easily lead the killer astray.
-
@Yucchi said:
Excuse me, but what kind of "trick"?
Idk but I'm guessing he meant something like jumping on the hay stack with Leatherface and bullet jump somewhere but tbh that's more of a funny trick than actually doing anything useful...
-
Idk tbh it isn't of much use in my games on either sides.
-
Well maybe I just like it bc I unlocked it only recently on my Hag xD kinda useful to know where to lure ppl. (I'm in red ranks well before the reset haven't got time to play)
-
Idk but anyone noticed some maps are MUUUUCH darker ?
I was the Killer in the meat packing plant and could barely see even a Meg. I still won but honestly it was SOOOOOO dark!
-
Hag: I...see...you...then...hihihi...put traps...ALL around you... :3
-
So happy I've been a Hag main since before her traps got the speed buff.
-
Maybe bc they are aiming to reward immersion with that perk.
Meaning that they reward you for staying hidden and moving around uninjured but will not reward you for getting caught and hurt.
-
Again, it is so easy to mind ######### the killer using the staircase and MANY lockers and vaults...
-
@aazimuth said:

This isn't 2016 anymore, nobody wants to play immersed. If you want to survive on this map you have to get a pallet stun then run to the next loop, this isn't healthy for the game at all.
*Look at my red rank*
I humbly disagree
-
Well not against it BUT maybe it would work better has an offering ?
Something like if it's used players under lvl 50 (profil lvl) receive a boost similar in strenght to the gruesome gâteau.
-
Wait a month at least before saying it's horrible. Ppl will find their marks soon enough.
Also, yes I see there's not a lot of pallets BUT this map is on three floor and you can easily trick the killer into thinking you went somewhere else than your actual location.
There's also the fact this map just like the hospital has a ton of vaults you can use instead of pallets.
