yeah it’s a decision that absolutely rocks especially if you’re running like an aura build or something

I’m sure this has been asked a thousand times on here before, but this is my first post and I thought it could be a nice way to learn a little more about some of you guys.
My main is Vittorio and I’m going to tell you why. There is this little hidden gem of a show called The Outpost that ran for 4 seasons and I just love it so much. It truly is a comfort watch of mine and I often find myself rewatching it as I miss the characters and setting. The show is a fantasy / adventure show that follows a character named Talon, the sole surviving member of the Blackblood race, who journeys to a fortress to track her family's killers. Soon, she attains supernatural powers that she has to learn to control. In the show Talon has a ‘creature’ living inside of her called a Kinj and you find out that her particular one is called an Asterkinj which has the ability to open portals to other worlds and planes of existence.https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ORHRG8TMTS5W/img-0403.gif
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5M1H3II2NOXW/img-0402.gif
When she uses the Asterkinj to open portals it glows blue on the side of her head and it really reminds me of Vittorio’s arcane cosmic ink tattoos. It’s almost the exact same shade of blue and his typical style of clothing is also extremely similar to the wardrobe used in The Outpost. It’s like he was made exactly for me as I just feel like I’m getting to play as a character from my favourite show whenever I’m playing as him. So I’ll be a Vittorio main for as long as I play this game and I’m slowly but surely heading towards P100 with him.
since the rework, I’ve honestly been playing a lot of Freddy Krueger recently because not only is he technically our fourth trap killer with his dream pallets, but he’s also extremely fun and surprisingly a hard killer to play if you want to get the maximum value from his power and I love the challenge of that. (that and he’s honestly one of my favorite horror icons)
as for my main survivor I play Orela just because I really like her lore.

The main issue is that the specifics of killers are badly explained to players.
Naturally, more convoluted killers get more kills overall.

Suppose I was just getting lucky generation, but yeah, these changes are ass. Less deadzones? Good! I'm okay with more fillers as well, honestly. Shouldn't see safe loops into safe loops though.
I suspect they just upped the limit for tile/pallet generation. I should not be seeing jungle gym into Shack like it's 2018. I can sort of deal with it, but I can imagine I might be one of the last.
I'd appreciate an update from the Developer Team, if they even know this is an issue or if this is just something we are gonna push to live and ignore.
yeah we decided to nerf asylum by reducing its size so here’s 20 more pallets as compensation

Myers definitely should have got his own PTB.
Between Krasue and anti-slug and anti-tunnel, he got pushed into the background.
Not even talking about the perk changes (*stares at M&A changes in disbelief*)
You think that was bad? Do you not remember what they were gonna do to barbecue?
-
@Xray said:
Killer reworks imo are big enough to have a PTB just for them. The Skull Merchant rework should be a month long PTB in between chapters for the community to really sink its teeth into her once again and see if she will finally be good gameplay wise. Hopefully once the rework comes out she once again wont be considered a flop.
she’s a killer that I honestly still play since her release and truthfully there is nothing you can really do about skull merchant people will always hate her and that’s purely just because of the reputation she had back then.

@Mr_K said:
good intentioned anti-tunnel and anti-slug
The road to the fog is paved with good intentions.
Yes, major changes need their PTB and feedback needs to be taken before going live. Current PTB is nothing more than a preview for the next update. Only a handful of times have they come out and said this feature is a test only. And we are partially to blame why they don't do more. Each of those times were followed by demands they be implemented and angry after many months after.
yeah and I feel like that’s been present, especially recently since the release of Krasue

I apologize in advance but I am new to the game and this is my first rift. I have been looking to participate and yet countless Google searches and YouTube videos haven't given me answers. How do you actually enter the event. I thought I would just come up in trails but I can't seem to find any thing. Any info would help because I would really love to unlock things if possible epically that ghost dredge skin. Thank you.
also great to see new people joining this game :)

as both survivor and killer you can collect void energy by doing a variety of things like kicking pumpkins, repairing generators generators, stunning the killer, downing survivors, and hooking survivors. Then transfer this void energy into a rift to go into the void. While in there you’ll see a little pedestal they can transfer your energy into doing this as survivor. Will give you a void crystal they can use like a smoke bomb or put it inside of a generator to repair it automatically overtime and as for the killer you’ll three haunts for transferring your void energy on the pedestal in question you can either use the haunt which will fly forward in a straight line, attempting to hit a but it will stop if it hits anything or you can break pallets, walls, and generators at increased speed, but it will use one of these haunts. It is very complicated.

That outfit is at least something

Trapper currently gets completely neutralized by someone just following you around and disarming all your traps.
that’s why I run double iri add-ons. But then again if your killer requires too high rarity add-ons in order to be usable, I don’t think that’s a good sign.

If BHVR could negotiate specifically using the Vertigo version of Constantine and not the DC one, that'd be one of my dream licenses.
I would love to see some DC characters too, though. A long time ago I pitched Harper Row as Gotham's survivor rep, with the logic that she's a little less powered and hyper-competent than a lot of the other caped individuals in that town and also, crucially, because I love her.
For matching killer, I'd pick Scarecrow. Lots to do there for a power, suitably horrifying for DBD, still recognisable enough for people not to react with "who?" when they see it.Good opportunities for skins, too. Joker skin for Trickster, Punchline skin for Legion, various cosplay skins for the survivors, so on.
honestly I was originally going to say that joker would belong in this game, but in all honesty, I don’t think you could add joker without adding Batman and that’s kind of where I drew the line

Thanks for the kind words! It's not lost on me that it will require some time to see how this settles in with the community, so don't hesitate to let me know if your feelings on The Krasue evolve at all.
Our team will be keeping a keen eye on feedback from this!
Honestly so far no complaints about Krasue my games against her have been pretty fun and she no longer feels as oppressive as she used to be with her infection and considering that part 1 of the nerfs reduced the glowing mushroom count just to make it so that being hooked removes it. honestly that buff to her makes a lot more sense now that we have now that we have the other half of the nerfs. Really the only problem I have with this chapter overall isn’t even with Krasue it’s with Myers and how much weaker he feels after the rework.

Give Plague a chance. I'm not good with her and she's single-handedly bringing down my stats as my number two most used killer but she is hilarious. I never get tired of everyone puking everywhere.
definitely kinda wanna give her a shot because one time I had a period where I exclusively played the artist because before that she was another one of those killers who I just never played, but now as you can clearly see that changed so I’ve been thinking of doing that again, but with plague. Except spirit, I am never touching that killer for as long as I live because I have a genuine hearing problem so I can’t play killers that are reliant on audio unless I’m running stridor

@CatManThree said:
If you enjoy Dredge and Unknown then I would highly suggest trying out Hag. Think of her as essentially having The Unknown's teleport but can immediately place down up to ten illusions whenever she wants and teleport without any cooldown at all at the cost of the survivors having to be within three meters of it. The survivors also have their camera instantly spin around to face the fake Hag spawned by the trap when triggered causing them to actually run straight into you if you teleport and they are just holding W. The fake Hags from trap triggers also stick around for a few seconds to you can sometimes wait on teleporting to them so you can hit survivors around a loop like with The Dredge's remnants, or not teleport after the survivor you are chasing triggers a trap so when they they try to vault a pallet or flick around to run the other way they move straight into you to and get smacked. She also has a red addon which completely changes her playstyle, letting her teleport to any trap on the map with no range limit or need for a survivor to trigger it at the cost of now having a ten second cooldown on teleports.
(edit: adjusted some wording)I’m definitely going to give her a shot sometime. I just wish I didn’t have to listen to that broken washing machine y’all Chase music

Freddy's hits with Dream Pallets are crazy satisfying for me, that's why I play him more than any other killer lately. What do you hate about playing him?
I feel like it’s just because of how easy he is to counter since survivors no longer have to go to a specific alarm clock. It means that I have to run Nancy sketch if I really get any use from the power.

The I played two games tier is for the characters that I’ve only played two games with so it’s not that I hate them. It’s just that I don’t have enough experience on the character to say whether I like them or not.

honestly same even though I don’t like what the design previews have given us so far. Either way I still wanna try her out when it does happen because at the end of the day she was and still is my favorite killer to an extent.

Easy has nothing to do with how pleasant a Killer is to face. Also, they keep advocating for old SM to return.
For example, Legion isn't a strong Killer, but boy does he suck to play against.

Skull merchant was an irreparably bad kit for both sides
Feel free to be disappointed with springtrap but it's not like they are boring to play or super generic with their heavy hatchet
Sadako might as well be compared directly to tombstone myers with how terrible they were outside of one playstyle.
Traper has actually gotten a ton even if that doesn't increase his tier much, although increasing his tier significantly would result in trash gameplay too(it's ok if so entry level killers aren't good due to their kits)
Pig was always dash based and pure trap gameplay is just boring for everyone(m1 sim while one dude tries to force chase ig)
Myers? Sure, whatever. Unless referring to tombstone
No comment on houndmaster.
Every killer you mentioned besides Houndmaster, springtrap and trapper have all been extremely problematic when viable to the point were I'm sure majority of survivors would rather face old alch ring blight than play against those killers in their optimal way. Between old skull merchant and sadako it's like you wait for bhvr to drop killers that are by default d tier unless played in the most anti-gameplay way possible.
I've mained bubba, blight, P-head, neme and hag being my first. A very wide variety, I am not being biased towards you, it just seems you have locked yourself in on very trash designs for some reason.
If you pick based on theme and visuals then you're just plain unlucky.
oh I’m not complaining about tombstone that needed to go. I’m mainly talking about how they turned him into dashslop.

@Skitten56 said:
Myers rework was really bad and low effort. Skull Merchant being gutted for this long is ridiculous and insulting to those who spent money on her.
Springtrap is a fair and balanced killer though, and new Sadako is not that hard to understand if you look into her new power.
However, one thing really bothers me is you saying Pig is suddenly dashslop since her QoL updates. She was always a dash killer, just her dash was weaker than other and could only really be used at certain tiles.
BHVR actually handled Pig really well. They didn't destroy her RBT potential (although they did try) while they also buffed her dash in a meaningful enough way that it is a threat on a lot more tiles and survivors can't just leave the tile the moment she crouches and make it to the next one, but also making it not a free hit like newer killers so that she still feels rewarding.
I wish BHVR treated more killers like how they handled Pig and not just straight up gutting them and reworking them like Myers and Skull Merchant.
I never said Springtrap was bad. I just said he was kind of disappointing to me.

Jack of all trades, master of none, still much better than a master of one.
honestly fair enough I respect the hell out of you if that’s what you do more power to you but I’ve always loved focusing on one particular character to where you can understand them inside and out, it just feels very rewarding you know? Before the rework, his shape allowed for many strategies depending on add-on and perk combinations—he was a weak but interesting killer. The latest patch has destroyed his synergy with perks and the uniqueness of his add-ons, leaving him nothing more than a downgraded Oni or a big Chucky.
I genuinely have no reason to play this killer anymore aside from just getting fragrant tuft of hair so I can play the killer I actually enjoyed but even then he’s still weaker in this aspect because they reduced his ######### duration to 40 seconds for some reason when in evil incarnate

100% this, I hate having to bring an add-on (that I have 5 of since it was an Iri) just to have Myers power with that janky tier 2 lunge in Tier 3. Pallet Vault Nerf is Very noticeable, survivors can reach another loop or tile if she vaults (Depends on whats nearby), but its noticeable enough that survivors can actually reach another tile now.
Pallet Stun plus vault, Survivors can make quite a bit of distance now with both nerfs.
Intentinal Whip Change also decently noticeably, Krasue needs to start from the right angle or risks a miss, actually does implement some depth to her now, cant just slide and get a free hit now, actually have to get hits from the right angle. Shack might be more safe now.
Hes only testing against bots, will want to see him against actual players, but nerfs are actually noticeable on her, Survivors can bring her on a longer chase, espically on safer pallets.
Still think shes really, really strong and needs more nerfs (Insta M1 and Infection removal on hook), but they actually did give her noticeable nerfs
(Also Superior Anatomy doesnt work on her head form lol)
Good thing this is step one then.
