BHVR: "Not a lobster"

Casual game ranks Vs competitive game ranks. Interesting ,but ultimately irrelevant.
That's pretty hypocritical of you to say - Irrelevant until everyone brings up ranks in every other thread simply because they think it conviences their argument

I'm just curious why you either reported, or gave a thumbs up to the bottom two survivors?
They were really the only 2 good survivors on their team, and friendly in end game chat. I commended them for knowing how to loop, and avoiding LOS so I couldn't shoot them, even through cracks. I let the top player escape via hatch.
-
Is this post bait? Ruin/Undying is useless, and a waste of perk slots. Why go Ruin/Undying when you can take Pop instead, and then use the other perk slot for something that actually makes you stronger.

Report them, provide proof, and pray to the entity something is done.

Well 90-95% of the game he was hanging around whoever was on hook. Its the only reason the rest got gens done so fast.
You were obviously doing more than just camping the hook.
-
I never had an issue against Ruin/Undying. I never see much of a gain when trying Ruin/Undying (like you're throwing away a whole perk slot for christs sake). The only people I really see running Run/Undying are youtubers. When I see streamers running Ruin/Undying they seem to be getting the same results as me - it's a waste of a perk slot.
So yeah. Ruin/Undying is overhyped like NOED is, and the moment you see someone say it's a viable build, then you already know they don't know enough about the game to be commenting on it's balance.
-
I find Dying Light works on Killers that can ignore hooking the obsession.
So Pyramid Head.
-
I'm buying it, because I'm BHVR's #########

A killer that camped all round wouldn't get 25k. It's impossible.

Dying Light works surprisingly well on Pyramid Head

Absolutely disagree.
OP made a lot of big mistakes in this game.It would have gone different otherwise.
Perk build wasn't optimal and he/she didn't use good addons too.Plus OP was playing a low tier killer as well.
Also,it's not really often that you go against really strong groups. Most are pretty manageable given you are decent at the game
More perks should be viable on Killer. More Addons should be viable on all Killers. There shouldn't be "low tier" Killers. The fact that there is proves my point. I literally go against SWF back to back to back, especially since cross platform happened. Even more people got on the game because they are able to play with friends easier. And before "Well you can beat strong 4man survivors so then it must be balanced". I put a ridiculous amount of time and effort into learning every single aspect of the game to get that good as Killer. I put barely any effort into Survivor. My issue with the game is that players shouldn't put that much effort into a Casual game to play it causally, and I should have put more effort into survivor - I shouldn't be able to completely stomp red rank Killers like I do as survivor. Then while players are trying to voice this very clear issue, we have people like you who just jump on pretending to be "nice" and "positive" when all you are really doing is trying to dimiss the issue so it doesn't get solved, so that the game continues to be easy for Survivor and a sweat fest for Killer.
Same as before, get out of here with dismissive comments, and lying to dismiss a serious problem in the game.

eh i mostly just recommended that a positive attitude gets you far and you shouldnt focus to hard on trying to win, if you get tilted you will just get mad and lose more.. you should try that.. and chases is how you win so the better you are at chases the more you win.. and ik its not competetive or else i would watch the video and judge it more but as long as he is positive and focus on chases he will win more.. now stop overreacting and chill.. he asked for tips so i gave him a small one.. if he didnt like my comment he can just go and read yours instead but i think he prefer most tips no matter the size, big or small..
And that's the point. Not every game should be a sweat fest for Killer. When they already take a break - the first game they come back to shouldn't be a 4 man SWF that just treats them like #########. This is the current state of the game. Then these Killers go "Hey guys, toxicity, and unbalance in this game is a problem" and every. Single. Time. They are told "just take a break". Well enough is enough with breaks. The breaks are not working. The problem persists, and the problem needs to be fixed. At first it was just a "positive response" and outlook, but now it's just dismissing the biggest problem in Dead by Daylight and that is that Killer is too stressful to play, and you should have fun with the role, not have it like a job.
-
Freddy. Slow Down Add Ons, and Perks. You basically take the whole game hostage until you max all catagories. Then kill the rest of the survivors - or don't, your choice.

I abuse dead hards invunerability to save survivors from campers. Once I pull the survivor off with Borrowed Time. I Dead Hard through them, forcing them to take the hit. Then the Killer has to choose to chase me, or the survivor off hook - because of Decisive fear they tend to choose me, which is a mistake to make normally as well.

Cool nice stats showing a drop in killers.
Look em up yourself. I am not your teacher. You're responsible on keeping yourself updated on the game you play. You're responsible for educating yourself. Grow up.
-
Survivor's are competitive and toxic. They have ruined the game for casual Killer players, and thus all survivors should be punished in every game. Plain and simple. For the longest time I was friendly. Kept trying to be friendly, but it just comes to a point that no matter now nice you are to the other players of this community they still walk over you. So I understand why killers have stopped caring if you have a good game or not.

I would reccomend trying my Legion build. You will have an easier time coming up on Survivors, and keeping survivors injured, w/ thana will slow down the gen's enough for a fair game (it's like +5 seconds to each gen).
Hex Totems are unreliable and by the time you get a use out of Tinkerer's the survivors are just going to finish the gen in your face. Legion is weak without add-ons. My favorite two are Legion Pin, and Stolen Sketch Book because they synergize well with Thanatophobia (Legion Pin is pratically required on Legion in the current meta).
Taking a break from the game sometimes work, but that's a way everyone's being using to dismiss the biggest problems with Killer. The current state of the game these are most of the matches you are going to be experiencing. Hopefully it get's better in the coming months.

no you should practice more and learn how to do better in chases.. havent watched the video so idk how good you are but watch streamers and ask for tips and try out different perks and killers.. also try to focus more on playing for fun instead of if you 4k or not.. i dont see 4 kills as win.. instead i see an amount of hooks as a win for example hook everyone atleast 1/2 or similar.. it helps me to not get tilted when gens go to fast
######### off with your dismissive bullshit. The game shouldn't be this hard for players. Players shouldn't have to be as good as the literal TOP Killer players in the game just to have a good time. It's a casual game, not a hardcore competitive one. You should be ashamed from your bullshit kind of responses. Didn't even take the courtesy of watching his damn video before you jumped on dismissing the entire topic for upvotes. Sorry not sorry.

They can fix Mori's by making them only work after the second hook phase.
They can fix key's by removing them from chests.

I never have an issue with Unbreakable. They are still out for the whole time it takes them to recover from being downed. DS is annoying af when you don't even tunnel, but the persistent mosquito insists on getting in your way and notification spamming you.

I've been here for 4 years now, I have no plans on leaving. These new killers that are leaving are just unwilling to learn to play better. They want their wins handed to them. They wouldn't last 5 minutes in 2017 DBD. If they're actually leaving out of "frustration" when killers have better perks, less pallets, and shorter loops than they ever had than DBD just isn't for them
There are still imbalances in this game, mainly perks and map design, but if thats enough to make you actually quit the game... sorry, but this game isn't for you. The devs ARE making strides to make non-viable killers stronger. Look at Leatherface, spirit and freddy. all killers that sucked when first added. But its a understandably slow process.
People were literally crying and screaming about leaving when the devs announced a BL TEST. A TEST that they specifically said was for 1 weekend to gather data. Too many killers regurgitate this toxic "killers are victims" mentality that is propgated by certain content creators that I cannot name.
You literally refused to even play the game when BL was disabled showing you don't even want to try to contribute to the devs attempts at making this game more consistent. Dont @ me
Right because I am inclined to believe you from a forum post. Nah I'll just follow the statistic. Players who favor Killer are leaving fast, and players who favor killer are dropping out when they get the game. It doesn't look good, nor bode well for BHVR long term, which they know - which is why they want to change that - but have a hard time too because their survivor base is a massive group of entitled players at this point.
And I didn't refuse to play the game. I played the game. I played Survivor and never got sacrificed. Lol "don't @ me". Why even bother commenting then if you don't want a response, get out of here ya fool.

Tin foil hat territory. If BHVR didn't care the game would still be in the state it was 3 years ago.
Oh right. Why are all the Killer players leaving then? Why can't they get Killer players to stay?
-
4 Survivors to 1 Killer - who does BHVR care about more. Killer mains are like the runt of the litter that BHVR just ignores like a momma cat. They sometimes get in for scraps, but when it comes to climbing a stone step, she's picking up all the Survivor mains and walking off, while the runt sits there confused and whining and then finds some kind of work around on their own.
And like a toxic family where the parent has a favorite child. Every time the Killer does get something from their cat mother the survivor mains go "Why don't I get something too, this is broken and unfair", so they get an uneeded buff just to keep them happy. Also when survivors get nerfed, they are incredibly careful about it like the Survivors are this delicate flower that if the PH level is slightly off they are all going to die. So it's not even a nerf, they buff some other part so there really is no change at all, and make the changes on something that isn't even apart of the problem (looking at you Toolbox "nerf" (changes)).
Don't believe me? BHVR literally is trying to market that they are looking for Killer mains - because they're running out. They even had Samanimation make an ad for them where they constantly hint at searching for Killer (wink) Fog Whisperers.

I am at rank 3 and have been for about a week now. I keep getting so close to rank 2 and then depipping all the way just to get the pips back and start a never ending cycle. I can never find a good team and randoms let me die on first hook. What do I do man?
To get to Rank 1 really all you need is to keep playing the game. You don't even have to be moderately good at survivor to pip up, just have enough second chance perks.
For Survivor to get to Rank 1 you just need to optmize on your second chances. From Brown to Purple Ranks your teams are basically going to be useless, so running a more selfish build is more ideal and if you are are 2 people by 2-3 gen's then find the hatch, and take it if the need arises (or the door furthest from the hatch. This is called the 2 door and hatch strategy). I reccomend running; Quick and Quiet / Dead Hard / Decisive Strike / Iron Will during Brown to Purple Ranks. You could also opt Quick and Quiet for Deliverance, because I find during this time if you do get hooked people rarely save each other from hooks. Quick and Quiet's main use is to be able to hop into locker's quickly to avoid Barbeque & Chili.
From Purple to Rank 1, your team becomes more reliable and the Killers become deadlier, so you actually need to rely on them - somewhat. Having a healthy balance between saving survivors from hook, to completing gens. While at the same time having a good idea of map layout, and loops so you can run the Killer for 2-3 gens. Basically what you want is that you are the sole survivor that the Killer wants to be able to ignore, but you know enough about the map that if they ignore you then the gens are going to be popping like poprocks. I reccomend running Borrowed Time / Dead Hard / Decisive Strike / Iron Will.
Also remember the 3 CHRS rule. CHRS (chairs) stands for Cleanse, Heal, Repair, Save. The four main things needed to get your emblems for survivor even without being caught/seen by the Killer. Cleanse 3 totems, Heal 3 survivors (3 health states), Repair 3 generators, and Save 3 survivors from hook. Fungoose calls it the 2 CHRS rule, but I suggest aiming for 3 of each as only 2 gets you through green ranks.

Crotus Asylum, The dead horse carnival wagon, Haddonfield (yes all of Haddonfield). You thought covering the doors in Badham school was enough? Don't make me laugh when you don't have Bloodlust.

Do you even realize how many hours I put into this game just to be good at Spirit? It hurts the Killer too.

A hex build does not have a colossal risk of collapsing if you're running a sensible one. Ruin/Undying/NOED or something like that requires a significant time investment from the survivors to get rid of. Time the survivors don't have if the killer is good.
I'm trying to tell you guys, the best killers in the world all run hex builds. Players who are currently on 100+ 4k streaks in regular matches. Smart survivors are maybe cleansing early if they count 2 lit totems, but not if they count 4, which is why Ruin/Devour/Haunted is so effective. No good survivor team is risking an early throw by popping Haunted.
Worst case scenario, you should have some momentum because they invested so heavily into cleansing. It's not about whether survivors know where totems are. Every good team knows that. It's about whether it's worthwhile for them to invest in it.
Every other perk is QoL information for the most part. Pop has value if Ruin goes, but you're going to be down big with just Corrupt/Pop. Tinkerer or Surveillance are good with Ruin. Bamboozle with some killers, but that's a stretch.
NOED is not a colossal risk? Wow big oof

What? You act like we press one button and we get a freebie. You still have to input a response for the second chances to work. Ubreakble dosnt happen often. Adrenaline doesnt happen often well to me cause i solo and survivoes be dumb as hell. Plus yall shoylx be killing with moris
I like how you bring up the two least common second chance perks. Borrowed Time, Decisive Strike, Dead Hard. 2 require just the press of a button (and that isn't a hard skill check). The other doesn't need a button at all - you just have to INTENTIONALLY GET HIT.

They do it to push real discussions down. It's more dissapointing to see a Mod move a discussion to "Feedback" so it can get lost, and then they straight up ignore a bait post.

The easiest fix to the "SWF Problem" would be to accept that 4 good Players would give the Killer a hard time as well when playing Solo.
And well, this includes stopping to complain about SWFs and focussing on getting better at the game. Seeing OPs proposal shows me that not SWF is the problem he is losing games. Let alone that his proposals dont make sense at all.
Just some thought (which should be obvious IMO): If you reduce the Repair time of the SWFs, how are Solos not affected? They play with teammates who are slow on Gens (and I am not talking about the "not doing Gens" slow).
... 4 man SWF does play a lot better than 4 Solo's. That's just common sense.
