  • I want you all to stand in a corner and think about what you did. Then maybe you can come out and play.

  • For those that work with others... You know how you can have some butthead at the workplace who everyone has to walk on eggshells around cause they don't want to deal with their BS?...

That is what I think the Devs are like with this fanbase. They need to walk on eggshells around us or people start throwing up their hands. Must suck for them sometimes.

  • @Samurai_Draco ooof.. yee.. I will never drop BBQ. Sorry but I don't understand anyone who can play without getting Double BP... You are halving your grind by not using it. Even for more of a "fair" play... I will just try to play towards emblems and try not to be too much a d-bag. I would rather that be on me, than giving up a double BP bonus.

    I want BP!

  • @Samurai_Draco TBH I'm hoping more and more killers use it. I rarely if ever, play a killer without BBQ. The grind is real brutal. At some point the BHVR gonna have to change it with more and more that use it.

I think everyone should have the chance to Double BP every match, just use the Emblems as a way of rewarding those players who play the "proper" way. Then just remove WGLF or change it, and BBQ is just an aura reading perk.

  • I like when you win the Mind Game as killer you stand there looking at them on the ground nodding yes at them. Sometimes I wait for the acknowledged wiggle on the ground before picking up... IF BUBBA DON'T GET HIS RESPECT YOU STAY THERE LITTLE RABBIT!

  • @Maximus7 Some people always got to look at the negative side of things.

    THINK POSITIVE!

    Don't be so glum chum.

  • NO.. NO CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK ALLOWED!

You won't get any responses on your thread unless you join the pity party. :)

  • .... didn't mean to make a post on here... can't delete it.

  • @HereComeTheTrapper LOL

OMG that was good post. I'm gonna write that one down cause it can be a good troll post.

Hey.... Did you know the world was gonna end in year 2000... Oh I mean 2001.. no... I mean 2002...

Hey.. Did you know this game is gonna die in 2017... no ... 2018... no.. people are leaving now cause my friends told me so... SO update... Game gonna die next week. YES thats it! Next Week..

    Hey everyone I WAS RIGHT!

  • @Ihatelife Eh.. if survivors want their fun I guess. Why not?

I personally been playing allot more killer, been finding Killer allot more fun than survivor myself. I hate playing legion. I don't mind playing against Legion, but was more unfun playing as Legion. So I don't mind the changes, but I didn't / don't play Legion much to really give a good opinion on their mechanics. I just know from playing some matches with them I didn't like it. I would prefer playing Freddy than Legion cause at least Freddy can be fun to play.

I love chases in this game and the chases with Legion didn't feel fun.

I'm happy they allow us to participate with their changes rather than just throwing them right at us and be like, there you go.. have fun. Obviously they can't put in everyones feedback, nor should they.

I just don't know what people are expecting from them at this point. People ask for a rework.. they do it.. they complain about the rework rather than giving it a chance.

    ?

  • @DocOctober Yeah but why bother making a big deal about it right now. Lets wait and try the changes. Obviously there are some who play more killer so lets see what people think afterwards. Then point out where the Devs could maybe make some improvements.

I get people may be wary of the changes.. but some people here seem to be going a bit overboard don't you think?

Shouldn't we just be happy at this point and time that the rework is actually happening and you can contribute to it?

  • @RSB But what you posted is pretty funny. I was trying to add some humor into it. No?

You are angry. Why so angry son?

Here is what I do... I take a deep deep breath and as I exhale I mumble.. "The sun will come out tomorrow... tomorrow..."... then I hang my head down and feel all the anger flow out of my body onto the floor and into the drain.... twirling, twirling.... I like to think of a survivor spinning at my feet...

    But seriously...

This is just a game. Sure there can be things to get mad at now and then, but really? The Devs aren't going out of their way to make an attack against you, but the way you post is like someone is chasing you down and you're in full panic mode.

Killers aren't going to bail out and stop playing.. neither are survivors.. not right now.. not because of the Legion update coming.. Your rant seems a little nonsensical.

Have fun.. remember it is a game. You must have gotten some enjoyment right if you've been here this long. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

  • The less you know the better.. makes it more fun.

  • GAH!

All killer gonna leave cause... There aren't other killers to play....Cause.... You have to deal with some perks foolishness..

HOW COME YOU LET THE SURVIVOR RUN! WHY? I can't have any fun if they run around all the time.

    Geez.

    Answer me this riddle...

    How long'eth in playtyme befor'eth thy notices thy can play'eth mor'eth then'eth one sid'eth?

  • GAH!

I think people should take Peanits advice... Wait and play it on PTB and then give feedback... if you don't want to.. that is ok. People like myself will provide the best feedback possible then. ;^)

Funny how people wanted him reworked... The Devs spend the time and rework him to basically establish a new base line for that killer... and people are crying fowl over it.

Seriously? Didn't people keep complaining on the forums how they didn't like Legion and now everyone is bashing the Devs for making changes to them?... Bashing before even trying out the changes?

I don't know.. but... maybe relax and have some fun and lets see where it goes.

I can't wait till they release info on the Freddy rework and the new End Game collapse. I'm gonna start making some extra popcorn now.

  • oh... I'm been just so excited with all the forum chaos today.. I misread sometimes.

I'm fat kid in a candy store right now.

But they are changing the Legion? Perhaps it didn't go right the first time, but they are making changes to it.. which too me, don't look too bad.

I look at as.. they are re-establishing a baseline for the Legion... Doesn't mean they can't make adjustments afterwards. First things first is to correct the mechanic exploits the Devs didn't like.

But you are calling BS on the mending exploit cause the Devs will consider punishing you for it?... So... Are you saying they should just leave it as is, until they update the Legion?

Then you say it is a "survivor" made up rule that got attention?... Which rule was that?

I know you are criticizing me for not reading your post a thoroughly as you may have wanted, but I don't see the point you are trying to get across.

Cause the Devs designed it that way... Then gets released to the full public, not just PTB. Some players on both sides don't like to play as legion or play against legion... but you are blaming survivors for getting a 5 minute mend time declared as a exploit by the Devs they will ban for. Without considering the fact of how the Devs might even consider making it bannable.

Do you think that the Devs would make that decision based on them "maining" one side vs the other?

Your point on me is lost because of the bias you show in your post.

  • So a 5 minute mend time is ok with you?.. Cause you want to win all the time?

Are the Devs just supposed to let you win all the time?

  • Don't forget to complain about the new Killer called "The Homer". You haven't played them yet, so best to start your complaints now so they heard.

  • It plays different chase music when you use it. I like Susie's Mix Tape more.

  • @twistedmonkey Did you get banned for it?

How many teeth did you lose when they kicked you in the mouth?

  • @Milordo Another person who doesn't read what the Devs posts and starts to jump to conclusions.

  • GAH!!!

Speak no ill will toward sabotage!

  • @Pennywise So if you do it by accident... Is it also by accident you don't leave the match right away and stay in there for 10 minutes goofing around?

You might be able to appeal the ban if you bail out of the match right away and not stick it out for 10 minutes. Would be hard to claim it was an accident if you don't accidentally leave either.

  • Basically tell the person in the end game chat you are reporting them for using the exploit... I imagine if the Devs get many reports for that person, with chat logs telling that killer about it.. and they continue to do it.. BAN.

  • Yee... All those items and offerings you won't use represent the time lost.

Think about how much those particular things cost... Even at 3K per item... If you got a stack of 40 of them.. 120K... how much time lost?... and hour.. 2 hours?

  • @DarkWo1f997 yee I hear ya. I don't care about rank anymore, the Devs made sure of that one.

I just play to mess with people most of the time anyways, more fun to play when you don't feel the pressure to out do the other side.

As long as I get the chance to get my BBQ stacks I'm good.

But why not just put on iron grasp and agi?.. throw them in the basement all the time.

I don't play in the high ranks so not sure how common those groups are, I don't see many in the rank 13 area.. I faced one last night, but found it fun cause I wasn't expecting them to break the hooks on me.

  • booo... sabo squads are funny.

Just bleed them out on the ground and go after someone else.. or camp them on the ground.. but that is kind of pointless sometimes if they all come up and pull them off the ground. But hey.. then there is no one on gens.. bonus!

I'd take in Franklin's Demise instead of Hangman's Trick. Survivors will get more pissed if you knock their crap out of their hand and someone else picks it up.

  • I enjoy mining the Salt though. I think some of the biggest laughs I've gotten in this game is some salty rant at the end of the game.

  • probably got cheated.

  • I like to hunt and chase survivors... not worried about winning.. other than getting my 4 BBQ tokens.

    I like using:

Whispers: Don't like wasting time looking in spots where survivors aren't. I waste allot of time if I don't have Whispers on. Plus makes finding that last survivor more fun, and not 10 minutes of frustrating wondering if they are leaving or not.

BBQ and Chili: Points and aura reading... I like to go off and get the next one quicker and no way you can play any killer without the double BP it provides.

Spirit Fury and Enduring: I don't like pallets, so this makes that part of the chase more enjoyable for me.

This is my standard build for most of my killers.. sometimes swap out Spirit Fury for Franklin's Demise.. Or Monitor and Abuse.

  • I prefer to use Michael and his Tombstone piece.. then you won't see it coming. :)

  • I like when the entity started shooting lasers out at the killer.

  • @Bbbrian2013 What?

That is the funniest post on here.

The grind is only easy for those who have no life. Who can spend 40+ hours a week playing this game.

Even a streamer who plays this game as a job will find this grind a joke.

Any casual player who doesn't spend money to get BBQ and Chili off of Bubba and then spend time leveling up David, has zero chance in grinding out this game.

They need 2+ million just to get started in the game.

Good luck doing that as a new player.. You might just want to quit before you get that far, since that just gets you started before you want to level up other players for a couple meta perks, so you have a chance now.

    LULS

  • But in all seriousness… The grind in this game is getting atrocious with every new set of 3 perks per side.

If I was new, I would be severely put off by the grind. I can’t imagine what new players go through in this game when it comes to that.

Right now… I will never play any character, survivor or killer without either We’re Gonna Live Forever and BBQ and Chili.

Not only that… I find it hard to play any match without using some kind of bloodpoint offering.

The bloodpoint offerings Escape Cake, Survivor Pudding and Bloody Party Streamers are the only bloodpoint offerings that make any sense. All the other ones are trash offerings which clutter up the web.

I hate the idea that we get a web… and 90% of the stuff in the web you usually get is trash or low grade. You don’t even want or desire to use them. You are only happy to see them, cause of the cost being low.

How many players who have leveled up their character to P3-Level 50 +… and have about 40+ of each trash brown items / addons that you’ll never use?

Those things all represent lost time since you’ll rarely ever use them.

I’m not sure how the Devs feel about the grind in the game, but this is just how it makes me feel.

I feel sad for the new player who only plays maybe an hour or 2 a night.. or maybe even only 8 to 10 hours a week.  The game doesn’t need to be built around casuals, but the grind to me feels it would be very discouraging to a casual player.

I do believe though that the grind shouldn’t be built around players who can spend 40 hours a week playing this game. Even when you watch streamers who have over 3K+ hours, who are still grinding out the game… This game is their job and even to them this grind can be a burden.

I’ve turned casual in this game, if I didn’t have everything at a good spot to where I can maintain it, I would have left long ago. The problem with grinds is they can be addictive, but if the grind becomes to heavy, you begin to realize the amount of lost time in the game doing meaningless things.

Word of Warcarft is a prime example of the company that exploits it’s playerbase for the grind. Once you get close to something you want, they move the bar. So all the time you spent feels wasted.

Everytime I open a character to select an item and add-ons I see all the wasted time in the number of crap items I’ll never use.

That depresses me as a player.

I usually will defend the Pay-To-Win concept some players will put out there. I don’t feel the game itself is P2W.. But the grind certainly is. If you don’t have BBQ and Chili on your killer… I can’t even imagine playing this game and trying to grind out perks.

    TLDR;

I actually believe either the game will die or I will physically die, before I could use up all my extra items, add-ons and offerings.

  • Dedicated Servers will kill MLGA.... MLGA snifs your network traffic and pulls out the IPs.. Dedicated servers remove that ability. They'll only see the server they are connected too.

The only way people will be able to block others will be through steam. As long as everyone can see the names and view the profiles of players in the initial lobby, people will be able to dodge based on that.

Or they will need to use their own personal list stored on their computer.

If they remove the stream profile lookup in the lobby for both survivor and killer.. that fixes that.

  • +1

If you find 4 slices and make a whole pizza you can take it in a match and give it out to other survivors in the match.

  • @MegsAreEvil They can tell the difference between them all.... When it comes to things like connections issues... Like the Devs have mentioned before if the players connection drops allot perhaps that player shouldn't be playing. So I don't care if people who lose their internet connection because they live in a bad part of the country... that is too bad for them.

A player's potato machine and connection shouldn't ruin the game for others.

But to the OP.. (IMO) They Devs probably won't be doing anything anytime shortly... Right now things feel semi status quo... When the Devs come out with Dedicated Servers I bet they already have a possible solution in there. That is probably why we haven't heard anything from them about the DC issue.

  • Yee.. Isn't like where you use A and D (normal turning) it takes longer to reach the full turning curve, where if you use the mouse to turn you reach the top of the turning curve quicker, because the sensitivity is higher. Sometimes I use A and D for slow turning.. but if I don't watch my hand on my mouse, he flies over in one direction quickly by mistake.

  • One of the solutions may to properly handle the malicious in that case, where the points being scored for a hit, count as 2 if it is an insta down.

For the chase part, i don't know why people feel they should be rewarded for work not done. For example... If you take Huntress.... And you decided to take the iri head for the one shots..

Why do you think that Huntress player deserves to be rewarded double for half the work of another Huntress player who doesn't use iri heads?

You didn't put in the extra effort for the chase, so why should you get double the chaser points?

This is part of the reasoning I don't understand by some players. They use more OP killers / add-ons and expect to be rewarded more for using them.

  • @tseb Hey... Maybe you should read how emblems work.. You'll do better.

  • @NuclearBurrito They track your ability to play the match properly to how the Devs feel you should play.

Your skill comes down to how well you play that playstyle.

So if you don't take the risk cause you think you are better than those survivors, why should you be rewarded extra for not taking that risk?

For example.. I play in the low ranks.. so I get a good mix bag of players. Sometimes I'll play a group.. and they do really well and make it very difficult to find, catch and hook any of them. Other times, I play against a group who play really well, but I still do well against them.. I felt it was a good challenge for both sides....

Then I play against a group where I'm cutting and hooking them all at least once, before 1 gen gets done. So... How do I play out that match?... Do I just keep hosing those survivors without giving them a chance?... Do I deserve to be rewarded, if I don't take any risk with them, and kill them all on their 2nd hook... or even 1st hook since I can stop anyone from being saved?

This is where I don't understand why players feel that when you completely outplay the otherside, where you know they won't have anymore chance to win before two gens get done... Why should I then be rewarded for killing those survivors quickly...Just cause I can.

Those survivors in that match, probably have already given up. They probably feel their is no chance for them either.

So... I take the risk... I leave them all alone, until they regroup... and I come at them again... Then back off.. Then come at them again... and again.. till I start killing them off slowly. 3 dead... 1 leaves... iri and gold across the board... why?.. Cause I decided, I won already, so I can slow down and give them a chance... maybe they will all still get out.. maybe not. However I feel when I do this.. now the survivors may not all be pissed off.. and might have had some fun cause they had a chance to get some BP.

If you aren't even going to take any risk.. Then what makes you think you deserve more points?

  • @Slayer Well... Yeah.. but to the Devs it means it wasn't working the way they wanted. It doesn't matter if you liked it. It may not have solved what the Devs were looking for at this time. However.. we only really know what the Devs communicate to us.

  • @Lamia said:

You should get rewarded for quick chase wins, not punished..

You do.. if you only have 3 or 4 quick chase wins when you can win 24.... You only got only roughly 17% of the points you could have earned. Why should you get points for things you didn't earn?

  • Why do you think they would revert it?

  • haha... Play like a D-bag and the emblems reward you for that.

You got what you deserved... Simple. What were you expecting when you play like an a-hole?

  • Whatever makes it easier for me to trap up my mouse in the basement. The better.

  • @Entità yee. They can basically take a bad killer hostage really easy. So there needs to be a solution to wrap up the game in the end.

To me, I wouldn't want to have a solution which doesn't cause the match to wrap-up within a reasonable amount of time. If I had a 7 minute match, I don't want the end vs 1 survivor to last another 7 minutes.

Basically the final battle between killer and survivor comes down to the final chase. Gens to me don't matter anymore.. it is just the killer and survivor and who out plays who for end of the match. I just don't want it to last a boring 10 minutes.. 10 minutes of excitement is ok.. but not something that makes me want to DC and give up, cause that survivor can hide with impunity.

This is one of the reason I feel I need to have whispers all the time with my killers. I don't want to spend 10 minutes at the end, just to find David lurking around the edges of the swamp map looking for the hatch.

Same thing can happen with 4 survivors who open the gates, but don't leave and start looking around for extra points. Spending another 5 minutes wasting the killer's time. There just needs to be something that will start pushing the survivors out, rather than them feeling they can stay as long as they want.

I don't know.. I hope the Devs come out with their idea soon.. seems like they've been on it for awhile now.
