If I would rate these perks in terms of how powerfull they can be it would be prob this:
- Second Wind (the best)
- Inner Strength
- Babysitter
- Better Together
- Fixated
- Camaraderie (the worst)
That's putting it lightly man.

If you have played for 2 years regularly and still need to run small game that is on you my friend
Well small game lessen the headache of looking for the totem considering they actually changed totem locations, one game a totem was so well hidden nobody found it until 20 minutes later and we even had a map and it was useless.

You’re just not getting it at all.
BHVR are banking on a lot of new players jumping on board DBD due to Stranger Things, so they’re keeping beginners (particularly solo survivors) in mind with these new perks.
Beginners, jumping into the game using Steve or Nancy are not going to have immediate access to the other perks you mentioned.
Geez Louise, do you ever post anything positive in these forums?!?!
i mean why do you play this game?!?!
I thought that was what Deja Vu, Alert, and all those other beginners perks are for???? Oh wait nah they don't count huh????

Tolls can do a lot worse than breaking totems. If this perk leads to Trolls spending their time disabling NOED and Ruin instead of leading the Killer to me with Bond then I'm happy.
Time for the Remeber Me and Blood Warden to shine baby.

If you are refering to Survivors with Maps then they are probably also running this perk and getting a lot of use out of it.
Otherwise I have no idea what that's supposed to mean.
I already know there will be survivors who will purposely troll other survivors by breaking all the totems early game to prevent usage out of this perk I mean sure totems will be gone but that perk slot tho, could've been so useful.

Put abit of time into the game and you can very quickly memorize totem locations freeing up a perk slot
2 years isn't enough time to memorize the maps danggggg I need to step it up.

Don't underestimate the potential of Fixated. Being able to walk at about 70% speed will be a great help when you don't want to get found.
Inner Strength and Second Wind are okay, but they won't replace any meta perks.
Better Together, Camaraderie & Babysitter indeed don't seem to be useful.
So Urban but for standing?
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Inner Strength is really good. You're likely to cleanse a totem anyways just because a lot of Killer run either Ruin or NOED. And there is 5 of them so you are very likely to find at least 1 of them very quickly.
While it's not faster than a medkit it is far faster than self care (by 10 seconds to be exact). But more importantly it has side benefits:
- Being in a locker for 8 seconds in a chase is doable with other perks, particularly DS which is a meta perk anyways.
- It completely ignores healing modifiers like sloppy butcher
- It can be primed in advance
- You should be cleansing totems anyways to stop NOED and Ruin ect.

I have to agree with OP. Perks in this chapter are all pretty bad for both sides. Killer perks are also not very special and I fail to see all of them shaking already dull and stale meta of the game. That clearly shows devs are out of touch with their game and the community. During livestream they claimed some of the perks are strong, when in reality I fail to see them being used by players lest they want to create some gimmicky builds. Devs, I implore you - buff all the perks from this DLC in a significant way to make them viable. This can be one of the greatest chapters you have ever released, but do not let it be overshadowed by mediocre perks.
Is this bait???? You cannot actually agree with me it's taboo for survivors and killers to agree on anything, DO YOU NOT KNOW THE RULES?!?
-
@Watery said:
Fixated sounds like a decent perk for me since it’ll let me see where the killer can track me from.
Babysitter is good to know for whether or not to heal at the base of the hook.
Better Together can act like bond, making it so survivors being chased by the killer can run away from it.
I’d say these perks are pretty good and promote more advanced use.
With the exception of Fixated, but hey! It makes hiding a lot easier.
Good luck with that more power to you, I refuse to waste my perk slot except for Baby Sitter and Second Wind.
-
@TheGorgon said:
The game is inherently forcing you to break totems for your own benefit the perks are just trying to make the mechanics and things that both sides abuse better, you can say. Either way, I don't think you understand where the hype came from. It's mostly because of the amount of players DBD can obtain from this chapter and it just makes the game increase in popularity. This is an excellent execution to bring new players and temporarily band-aid other things.
Can't please everyone, but I can see your point.
I would understand if they had a totem counter then Inner Strength's full potential can come out, but as far as now with no indication that any totems are done or any are remaining, you are wasting a perk Slot which sucks. I wanted to run Inner Strength, Resilence, Small Game, and Head on.

@Tzeentchling9 No one is going to use Alert when Ghostface, who is NOT low tier and is used a decent amount of the time, will have undetectable. Pig isn't bad either. Alert is used so that you will know where NOT to go and be able to lose the killer. If you can't lose the killer 1/4 of the time(since there are 4/16 killers that will have this), why would you use it? It's just going to be replaced by something that's going to have the killer only players fussing. Also, need I remind you, most killers WANT survivors to have to hide. They want looping nerfed so that survivors will only be able to get away if they can hide from the killer. So what happens when survivors start losing stealthy perks AND looping is nerfed?
They just want a kill simulator, they want a 4k with little to no work. It's sad but that's the fate of this game, the fire is starting to burn out.

You clearly don't since you believe Overcharge and Lullaby is weak, killer perks have their usefulness you just might be too buns to get your build off.

Increase in speed, Lunge buff, Hooks literally right next to each other, totem placement buffs, noed buff(nobody asked for this), ruin buff, EGC, Hatch closing animation, let's not forget the buffs killers recieve that the devs omitted to it. Survivors got like what a buff to Deja Vu ohhhhh wow.

@Boss said:
How do you expect to keep a fanbase of survivors around when the only thing they experience is 2 minutes of face camping, and if they do get unhooked immediate tunnel vision
Well here's the thing: That's not what they experience at all.
Of course i can't confirm this, but people bring up the bad SO much more than the good, which is a reasonable thing to do.
After all, the good is just having a normal match, and no one's gonna go to the forums and say: "Hey everyone, i just had a normal match."
Sure, some are more than likely going to be camped and/or tunneled, and every now and then, we'll see someone come in and saying they got camped to death 5 matches in a row.
But i believe most new players neither get camped/tunneled all that often, nor do i believe that they will be discouraged so easily.
Again, sure, if you look at negative reviews, there's probably some with just a few minutes or hours of playtime, complaining that it wasn't fun.
But then there's also the many others who still like it and don't care about writing reviews.
Lastly, keep a fanbase? It's been VERY consistent over these 3 years.
We haven't even gone under 10.000 players without things like the game's birth or Steam being offline.
Beginners do experience this otherwise I wouldn't hear the usual, OMG KILLERS JUST CAMP ME AND WON'T LEAVE!!! IM DONE WITH THIS GAME!! You can tell me all day that killers aren't camping but witnessing it all the time kinda stifle your argument.
As far as long time players they're just in a abusive relationship where they're always playing not to have fun but to continue to grow. Those are dedicated fans ya know the ones that's been around for years they can't just cut their ties to the game but new players can and very easily, If you put hours and money into this game you're not gonna just leave. Also the average is 20k not 10k.
It used to be 30k on average but that dropped drastically since May considering the game was actually growing.

Those other games are different teams of devs my dude and DBD is by far the largest source of income.... at least that would be my guess....if you're going to hang around with rank 10s or lower dont expect much from killers.... down there killers always gonna camp
Rank 3 and camping is still a thing.

by releasing new chapters , dedicated servers, the rift 5head.
hardly anyone can properly facecamp anymore and true facecamping means you LITERALY cannot be saved.(which has been patched years ago)
what else are you gonna complain about?
It honestly looks like the issue is you
I can complain about plently of things like how does the game still have bugs from 2 years ago, why can't I get a killer lobby under 5 minutes, blah blah the issue is the game, you can do the "its just you GIT GUD" rhetoric and blame survivors for why the game is they way it is. That is lazy killers complained about flashlights, DS, BT, vaulting, SB, Toolboxes, Pallet Vaccum, and etc. THOSE ISSUES GET ADDRESSED, but one issue that is camping what the devs do, "just work on a gen, it's not an issue deal with it GiT gUdZ" If you can legitmately prove my claim false (which you haven't) you can have all my cosemetics if that makes you happy. Dedicated was suppose to drop this summer never happened, watch it won't drop this year either.

...What?
In terms of numbers they've been consistent for a very long time, long before Ghostface.
The game itself has issues for sure, which I also wish had bigger backlashes when they were left alone for 6 months plus at a time (I'm looking at you, rank/pipping bug that's been there since Ash came into the game) but they really aren't having all that much of an effect.
Exposure with things like Stranger Things in the long term helps to increase numbers and hence provide a larger profit margin, and hence could allow for more swift updates in the future. But it isn't necessary for the game to survive.
Consistent is the goal here? Not growing? That's a low standard bud but as long as you got survivors to kill you could care less right?
-

Oh so its just that you aren't very good at the game that makes it "dying" simple solution
Im pretty good to the point I can run a killer around for 4 gens before getting my first hook but then you know that pesky little thing called noed which recieved a uncalled buff and is now part of the meta, if I run into things like that and I'm rank 3 think about the baby survivors and how long they will last. Again, both perks are easily counterable if you pay a little bitt of attention. Crate of Gears adds a few seconds to the boxes, it's really a big deal for you ? They even aren't good add-ons.

Yes, it is. Overcharge is very weak and worthless at high ranks. And being on console isn't a excuse, not when I know console players who can work even through Ruin.
I can gen tap too but hitting a skill check with lullably and overcharge with the killer constantly pratrolling the gen is a different story also killer had Crate of Gears so you're wasting more time on the boxes than the gens but keep it going I like this convo.

Yes, Huntress Lullaby doesn't work with Jigsaw Boxes. And if Pig just camped her totem, then how she get her stacks for Huntress Lullaby ? And you act like it's impossible to work through Lullaby. It's actually pretty easy if you pay a little bit of attention.

The whole point is that the killer is wasting time and losing pressure. The other survivors will punish the killer by rushing the gens. If the survivor goes into a locker just leave them and if they don't, just slug them.
thanks for proving my point.

1 Huntress Lullaby doesn't affect Jigsaw Boxes.
2 Huntress Lullaby is also very weak against good survivors, even at 5 stacks. And you need 5 hooks for that.
3 You can still destroy Hexes protected by Thrill of the Hunt and it's even not too hard to do against killers without mobility, like Pig.
Complaining about perks like Overcharge and Huntress makes me think your skill as survivor isn't very high.
You sure about that because uhhhh I played against the pig and it sure did work unless thats a bug the devs need to fix. Also pig camped totem so bad I saw a roasting pit sitting next to the totem. I'm rank 3 btw.

@Marcus said:
In my experience, killers don't face camp and hit constantly the hooked survivor unless the survivors are tea bagging him, so maybe if you don't act like a little ######### you won't get face camp.
Of course, they are exception of killers who camp regardless, but there are also survivors who will tell you to ######### just because you won a match, so both sides have their toxicity. You will find toxicity in almost any game, that's not just a DbD isssue.
Woah somebody hostile for what? Calling me a little ######### you hurt my feelings sir. LOL get out my face with that, your experience isn't everybody else's but unfornately my experience is similar to others. Killers use this excuse, "Survivors last game tbagged me so I camped you because you're just like them!" Yes there's toxicity in every game but there's a difference in toxicity inflicted by a small group rather than developers encouraging toxicity. Now skeedaddle young buck.

No you just don't see it's potential, picture this a pig with Thrill, Lullaby, Overcharge, and Nurses. A mega time waste, you put on rbt let them run to the boxes they'll fail the skill checks, gens will be hard to save due to the lullaby, its a monster. Just gotta be able to put it together.

For a new killer players around rank 10 have far superior skill to theirs. Yes if you constantly hit rank 1 they may seem to be potatoe to you but for a new player they are serious challange.
Imao real reason why survivor playerbase may be lower then normal is because of the pathetic BP gain they get unless they carry their team and constant DCers and lag issues. Camping is such a small problem since there are so many counters to it and for you to be camped you first need to be caught so you still have a chance to get better at chasing/juking.
What counters are there for camping?

3 years* I miscalculated. For Honor has a unique niche, DBD has a unique niche, For Honor started with a small fanbase, DBD same. There's a parallel between the two and both are based out of Canada huge comparison.
