Yea it still sucks that 1 bad chase can ruin the game, or get maps like Haddon field and Auto haven. This game isn't to skill based ether tbf. You will (not often) lose to people with less skill than you. And it sucks sometimes, Understand why so many killers get annoyed about that
Okay I understand that but nerfing survivors some more and giving them more M1 or LB isn't the solution, adding a secondary objective isn't the way to go either remember the last even with the flowers? Survivors got murdered.

Its maybe because the game was completely survivor favorered at the beginning of the game. Now its in a pretty balanced state, but there are still a few problems with it like repedetively survivor gameplay and some maps. You can't just say "fixing actual game problems" is just "nerfing survivors due to whining killer mains". Thats just a lie. Remember various Nurse nerfs. Remember (me) Freddy nerfs. Remember Legion destruction.
Nurse didn't recieve a huge nerf, and she's still considered top tier (Omega Nurse Oops), Freddy didn't even get nerfed all they did was flip his ability that made him see survivors outside his terror radius rather than inside which gave him natural bbq and chili. Then of course are we gonna ignore Moonwalking Legion? Are we really doing this?

Nah mate streamers are the only people worth listening to, for they are the mighty wolves and we are mere sheep. Also they know everything because they have the devs on speed dial.
I'm sorry I didn't know my place, I will go online now and allow the killer to kill me. Forgive me for my tresgression.

2:20 seconds into a red ranks game, with NO RUIN but he does have PoP, 3 gens are done with a 4th at 75% completion. this proves that gens either need to be nerfed or a new objective needs to be added to the game to slow the game down further. now it was without ruin but when the game balance is to a point where if you don't run ruin you can have a game like this then it is a problem, then you are building a loadout with only 3 perks not 4. unlike people who run adrenaline they CHOOSE to run 3 perks for most of the game, this is either run 3 perks or your games can end in a shorter time than it took you to find a game lobby.
You're listening to a guy who literally got a mori off, a hook, and 2 dcs. This is your god?

Gen speeds are more than fine. In my 15 games last night, the average match lasted 19 minutes. Here are the other stats if you’re curious : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Fmwuhlmag8s32myoqtKQvCxneF5WNWhRvE4bz6pWfRQ

Go look up tru3etalent, the dbd casefile series from bricky , watch any streamer with tons of in game experiance..its universal..I've played every killer but clown and bubba extensively, I've played a good deal of survivor as well..I've seen just about all I can see here...I've seen it in the past versions of dbd and I've seen it in the time I've been here..just look around you dude
I do watch streamers on both sides usually I see killers whine saying they can't get their 4k, and I see survivors getting brutally murdered by the killer unless they ran with a squad. TrueTalent =Killer Main Bricky= Killer Main Those guys are trying to speak for a group they rarely ever play so how does that correlate with survivors?

Thinking DS was fine the way it used to be (It wasn't fine) is... oof. You can't look at old DS and seriously think that was balanced, can you?
Borrowed Time needed to be nerfed. People would just go in and rescue with zero consequences because that's what the perk allowed people to do. It made it impossible for Killers to defend their objective at all, which they have the right to do. Borrowed Time has also literally be consistently buffed the past year.
Vaulting got changed because infinites caused by fast vaulting places that are not supposed to be fast vaultable breaks the balance of a lot of maps. Who would have thought?
People have always been complaining about how fast gens can be done, especially since the depip squad showed how easy it is to do. I honestly don't know what you are talking about.
People complain about SWF because the game literally was not balanced with communication in mind. Therefore, it's no surprise that SWF breaks the balance of the game and people (justifiably) complain about it.
DS was a carbon copy of Friday the 13th game feature it was a one time use and you had to be the obession for it to work especially if you weren't obession you needed to reach 30% wiggle bar, even then Killers would juggle survivors to counter DS. Vaulting didn't need to be nerfed so bad that the killer can still hit you despite being on the other side already. BT was created as a anti camping perk, if you weren't in the area of the hook BT didn't work you could sit there and camp but you got punished for camping.

They won’t increase gen times. They wouldn’t have removed Freddy’s action penalty if they thought longer gen times were ok.

I'll leave you with this...the fact you just assume hexes should always be easy and temporary snd the fact you dont quite understand that ruin is needed to band aid fix the poor gen balancing..plus you assume there arnt enough survivors which is why cues are bad when actually there arnt enough killers because the balance is still very poor outside the top 3-6..so I doubt there will be much productive convorsation
See this right here..... Gen was never the issue until recently, which means survivors have decided to start gen jocking vs doing other things. There's a reason for this you obviously chose to ignore that factor. Killers are the ones not able to find a lobby, you know why? There aren't enough survivors in general which is why they usually get paired up with survivors outside their ranks. Hexes whole purpose even Monto says this is to "Slow the game down just a little bit", you wouldn't be saying any of this if a perk like Small Game didn't exist. If you want to slow the game down run PGTW, Corrupt Intervention, or Thrilling Tremors . Gen balancing wasn't a issue until survivors said ######### this I'm working on Gens.

Literally what is there to think through, most Killer mains enjoy slaughtering survivors so Ruin isn't going to be that big of a deal. With small game being used more frequently the totem isn't going to last anyways. Hex perks weren't meant to last forever just temporarily.

And if ruin fell out the game would lose more killers
Killers won't go anywhere you know why because they come to this game to fulfill their sadistic desires, then they have other perks that act like ruins, and of course if they were to lose more killers just means other killers would have more survivors to play against

@BunnyTheHutt said:
Title, really hate being in high ranks because every game gens are done in what feels like 5 mins.
Ruin is not a good gen rushing counter since it's a totem perk
Pop Goes only works if you can down people fast, which may not happen depending on who you are playing.
Thana only works on Huntress, Legion, and Plague, and is pretty pointless on those who can't constantly keep people injured.
Lullaby, Overcharge, and other skill check perks work at low ranks, but the higher you get the harder it is too see a failed skillcheck, even with overcharge. And lullaby is shown right at the start of the match, so it suffers from both ruin and Pop goes problem in it'll get popped early or you won't get tokens too make it matter.
IMO a good change would be too increase gen length until the devs make a second objective. I know no one wants it or likes it, but with toolboxes, Brand New Part, and Prove Thyself, I can't see 20 seconds being enough too make it feel any different. Another good change is a second objective, where you have too find gas cans too power up a gen, or find the bulbs for the exit gates, or something else because right now it really sucks too be a high rank killer unless you want too only play Nurse.
This isn't Friday the 13th, no GIT GUD as the killers always tell me as they camp and tunnel

I use NOED more frequently lately. Why I do this? Because gens take zero skill to complete and with or without ruin they take only minutes to finish all 5. If I had more time on my hands as killer, I probably would never run it and totally be in favor of it being removed from the game(though if things were that way from the start in DBD, NOED might never have existed in the first place).
NOED takes zero skills also and if you get gen rushed that badly there are perks to counter the gen rush that isn't called Ruin

Its just a throw away perk that taxes on bad Survivors, that's literally it...

I wonder who the heck in the community thinks of him negatively? He's absolutely fine as as he is. It's like a Ghost getting stopped by a pallet, so he begins to lean beside the other side of the pallet. The survivor is gonna try to break his power, but they most likely only get his head.

Since devs never talk about second objectives and I personally lost hope on that (cuz devs are just so focused on adding new DLCs noone needs atm or just simply can't because idk) I thought about adding ruin into basekit to counter genrush but with rules and requirements:
- Ruin can't be destroyed
- Ruin will deactivate after 3 hooks or/and 3 gens popping
- The effect of ruin is depended on killer tier and survivor rank (Nurse for example will have a weaker version of ruin than wraith, rank 1 survivors will have to deal with a stronger version of ruin than rank 15 survivors, maybe rank 16-20 has no ruin)
Thoughts?
No

I saw plenty of survivors escaping 3 gen strats are rank 1, so your point is invalid. But how you kill 1 person ? Because you said to abandon chases with strong survivors to chase weak survivors. But if in that team aren't any weak survivors, who you chase then ? How you kill them then ?
Maybe because I play strategically and with Myers.
-
@Marcus said:

You still can't put enough pressure on 4 survivors. It doesn't matter that you have a 3 gen strat, if 4 survivors are still alive, they gonna get the gens done. And the 3 gens strats is just survivors fault that they didn't spread out the gens.
I would agree if I failed this repeatdly at rank 1 but I don't so sounds like your issue at this point. If plenty other can pull it off then you should be able to, and at that point one survivor should be dead if you haven't kill one person yet well I don't know what to tell you.

Looped killer for 3 gens, spent 2 mins with him slapping me on the hook. Everybody else finished up and left.
Tunnelled more.
Random LF approaches with the power of unholy lag and insidious. Mayhem ensued.
There were a few good games but my Lord, it's hard being competent (I think I'm competent) down in yellow and I'm happy that I'll soon be out of this hellhole. But survivors can avoid 3 gens strats + if they are 4 survivors alive, a 3 gen strat will do nothing, because you still need to down and kill the survivors, but if survivors put enough pressure on gens, you won't succeed.
That's if you're impatient, patience goes a long way. If you're insecure you can run Surveillance which makes this strat strong, if they don't play by your rules they just make it harder on themselves. If you catch them working on any of the gens just hit them and force them away, if they're feeling frisky they're more likely to return to that gen and more than likely they will screw up. I do this strat especially against swf groups and I always get a 4k out of it.
