"These Gens are getting done too fast this isn't fair."--- how exactly are new players running into this problem? A new killer at Rank 20 isn't going to have a legion of rabid genrushers bullying him at Rank 20.
This is the rank when killers are hunting down potato survivors who are hiding in the corners of the map crab walking.
"Lol I've said this once and I will glady say this again. Stranger Things isn't enough to save this game, and it's facts"The game strictly speaking is in no danger and doesn't need saving. The number of players playing is relatively stable. You can check Steam Stats to see that the playerbase hovers around 18k-ish and that's been consistent for the past couple of years. It's not in any danger of dying out any time soon.
Those are the real facts.
Why do you think I linked the player count for? My health? Also Rank Reset much?
The fact that you're trying to say 18k isn't that small considering that's like rat droppings on a map is kinda low standards. The fact the game went from roughly averaging (as you can see on that player count btw) 30k to a measly 18k that's okay to you? That means you have a higher chance of replaying the same people you've played before. No new faces to play with or against. No calm atmosphere. This isn't a open community at this point it's a gated community.

Why do you want a game to be worse? There is no guarantee that forcing unfinished servers will fix those problems.
Also the devs listed several problems they were having in the link above.
They had a year and a half to fix this ######### bro

On what planet is knowingly introducing game breaking bugs because other, MUCH larger, companies have done it in the past a good business decision?
Game breaking? No. Tell me how would Servers which is it's own separate entity have any direct effects on the Game itself. It might have lag and what not but sudden bugs like the ones the devs supposedly fix like healing bug, dead hard bug, pallet bug, etc. Come on now do you want a game that is good or bad?

I'm sorry but that's how hitboxes work, If you want more accurate hit boxes to the point where the killers weapon has to hit the player model then all the killer Weapons and Survivor skins would need to be looked at and adjusted and The Whole game would need to be looked at and changed to rebalanced for smaller model specific hitboxes.
So in other words make their game better I'm fine with it.

Buddy, the dedicated servers are broken, implementing the current state of them would be the worst decision and people will just stop playing the game.

Man what a bad idea it was coming to this forum. This place is kind of depressing. I just got the game 6 days ago and have been playing it non-stop. Haven't had this much fun since Left 4 Dead. Pretty much all I've seen here is people bashing the game, calling it toxic, and now this guy saying that new players will be discouraged. Well I can definitely assure you I haven't been discouraged once yet. I've been having an absolute blast. Maybe my experience is different because I'm playing on console, I don't know. Anyways I guess people will always find something to complain about.
Because this game has been going since 2016 and they haven't advanced as far as they should have

Probably because Ubisoft's net worth is over three and a half billion dollars and have almost 16,000 employees to Bhvr's 500.
Edit: Or if only Ubisoft Montreal is working on For Honor, that's still over 3,500 employees.
You mean the same dev team that's stationed in Canada That's has only roughly 700 people on their team.

Not really a false promise. If Dedicated Servers would have worked, they would have been released with the next Chapter.
They did not work, so no release. Logical and the correct decision.
It is false promises they said specifically it should be released in the summer 2019 which means they had plans to release the servers in that time which they didn't. Then they said it should be released with the new stranger things chapter which was really the driving factor in the hype of the release. Kaput it didn't happen again.

Let's be real you probably wouldn't. I know this because there's tons of issues and bugs in the game right now and apparently it hasn't swayed you from playing the game.

Yes I welcome it because dedicated Servers on both PC and Consoles are two separate issues. Look at for Honor for example. They dropped dedicated Servers for consoles yes there were issues but it took only a week for them to tweak it and dedicated Servers were working perfectly fine. Why can't dbd do the same

It's a long timer that won't hurt camping but certainly helps that last second save on the hook. Pretty sure that was it's intended use.
This state just gives the hooked survivor an extra minute and a half of unfun playtime until next match if killer camps it.
5-10 seconds would make more sense. With coordinated SWF...imagine the nightmare for killers.

The newly installed gear seemed to bug out since 2x the checkbox didn't come until too late to do it. I made the 1st somehow but the 2nd it was already at end when it came up.That's 2 times now I've lost ultra rare and rare offerings and addons because the killer either rage quits during loading or right after match starts. When this happens those things should be refunded to the player same for killers so that they're not punished by griefers and trolls. It's hard enough getting those to show up in your bloodweb but having to spend a ton of shards to get them only to see some jack arse screw you over is annoying.
Quotes killer got outplayed by pallet looping then complains that the killer left as if pallet looping was anything skill related., sorry but there's no reason for a killer to stay so you can bully them with teleportation.
Also if you lost your brand new part to a bug, that's not the killers d/cing fault.

Just because you don't like camping, it does not mean it's not a valid play style.
Whining about camping on the forums is like stomping in here and going 'I did not have fun because the Killer sacrificed me! Take away his ability to knock me down & hook me! All Killers who attack Survivors are scrubs!'
That's up for debate plenty of killers don't like survivor looping despite it's the only legit defense against killers if you're not good at juking, I can't always 360 juke a killer but I can loop. Camping and hoping to bait in more survivors takes little to no skills. There's a difference in the two playstyle. If you camp don't be surprised if the survivor dc or kill themselves you know what camping entails.

Tbh as long as I'm not punished for excessive lobby dodging I'm fine with the game. Why? Because my only problems are keys and 2+ toolboxes. They can easily fix keys, and I might post my idea for a rework for keys some time.
I don't whine about everything they do. They nerfed Legion, didn't utter a word, they nerfed Pig's endgame, didn't say anything because I still worked through both of those things. They nerfed plague's vomit holding speed to 110%, didn't say a thing because I still do good with her.
However, when they do stuff like buff perks that are on the edge of being broken it becomes a problem.
Survivors had nothing to do with Pig's nerf it was EGC that did that, Plauge can still vomit excessively so that was fair unless you want her to be able to spew her vomit endlessly. Legion why does everybody seem to forget about Moonwalking Legion. Survivors rarely gets any buffs.
The question is whats wrong with keys?

Seriously, the fact you are arguing that it's apparently nonsense that a killer is allowed to hook a survivor when they down said survivor isn't making you look too good right now.
You can get your hooks that's fine but what's not fine is two survivors hooked right next to each other to be easily camped that's the issue I have with it.

There's always been hooks right next to gens.
If you find hooks are too close together, then boy, do I have an in-game solution for you. It's called Petrified Oak -- it increases the distance between hooks from one another.
Read that Offering closely.. (SLIGHTLY) which doesn't make a difference.
-
@[Deleted User] said:

Hooks got changed around because there was literally spots in some maps where hooks were so far away that you could NOT hook someone. It was a completely safe place.
Please explain why you think it's fair that a survivor can run into a corner to the map and the killer isn't allowed to hook them -- ONLY because hooks happened to just not spawn in that zone through random chance?
Imagine if generators spawned in the map, that were completely inaccessible and therefore were impossible to repair. Would that be fair? What if 3 gens were inaccessible and it was impossible to open the exit gates. Tough #########, right?
Now hooks are literally at every corner and sits right next to each other, If I can play patty cake with the survivor on the hook next to me that screams something. Also there are gens that sit right next to each other which gives the killer easy access to camp, plus there's hooks right next to gens.

I didn't say vaulting didn't get nerfed. I said vaulting did not get nerfed in the method you are explaining to me. Maybe if you actually read the thread instead of making up things for your own political agenda, you'd understand.
I never said looping isn't a defense, either. I said infinites are bad to the game. Have areas in the map that are so strong that someone could literally hold the game hostage isn't healthy for the game. This is common sense. I shouldn't have to be arguing about this. Having loops that aren't impossible to contest increases interaction between both sides, which increases skill expression, and creates a healthier, balanced environment.
This video single-handedly shows why infinites should not exist. I dare you to watch the whole thing and come back to say "yeah that's fair and balanced and totally fun for the killer to have to put up with." I dare you: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/80892245
Again as I've said, BT is still powerful. You can't just run in with zero consequence. How you describe BT was how NOED used to work. Guess what, survivors complained about the lack of counter. So a counter was added. BT works the same way. It had no counter. A counter is added. If you run in like absolute idiot with zero respect to the killer, it's going to seem weak obviously. But otherwise it's even stronger than it was before.
If you can't understand that, then maybe you should stop being a absolute hypocrite and complaining about the very exact same behavior that YOU yourself are exhibiting that you are also complaining about "killer mains" doing.
Quit being biased and maybe try playing the other role for more than a few hours. Actually commit yourself to the role to see where the arguments other people have are coming from. I think you will find it very enlightening. Most mains who who actually commit to the opposite side for a while do, whether they be survivor or killer mains. They recognize that it's not just their side that suffers and the other being entitled, but both sides have very core problems that are in dire need of being addressing.
P3 Myers btw.... but okay I know nothing about both roles despite me getting a nice hefty 4k tonight against R1 survivors running BT, SB, BL, DS, UB, Toolboxes and keys. Sure I know nothing about playing killer. Once this dedicated servers roll out to Consoles and I see the same issue then what you're telling me about latency is bs.
There are no infinite loops especially now, that video you linked me is from 3 years ago. I haven't even said anything about killers except that they whine about survivors and how they play the game. I haven't said anything about their perks or powers, which killers does do quite frequently.
Camping has increased since BT got nerfed which is saying something. Maybe because I know how to play survivor it helps me play as Killer so I understand how to counter them easily and play them at their own game. I'm not just pulling hankerchiefs out my ass here.

What is wrong with complaining about unbalanced game mechanics? Obviously the devs considered the old vaulting, the old exhaustion mechanic etc. unbalanced too, otherwise these would not have been nerfed.
And Borrowed Time did not get nerfed, it's currently the strongest it has ever been.
Also, survivors are able to do their objective too fast. Killers ARE at a disadvantage, that's not an empty complaint.
Not everybody who is asking for a fair game and killer buffs/survivor nerfs is a killer main.
*Looks at Hook buffs, Hag buffs, Trapper buffs, Wraith buffs, Noed buffs, Ruin buffs, Pallet nerfs, Loop nerfs, faster hook time, improved lunge speed, pick up animation buff, spirit buff, reduced killer footstep, totem placement buffs* Ok.

Shortly after I have left the game because of the Legion patch, I have read about 2 survivor perk exploits. Those guys got not banned, far as I have read it and to my time as I had play the game, existed also survivor exploits (like loop exploits as example on specific maps and specific loop spots on it).
Would there be a equal treatment for everyone, everyone would have been banned who exploits, but in fact the only big ban wave I have heard of had hit the exploiting Legion's and the rest of the Legion's that have not exploit have got that freaking Legion patch thrown for their feet (guess as thanks from bhvr because we have all the time fair play? That was not necessary bhvr, but I guess you guys know that by now).
But don't get me wrong.
I don't write this lines to do here a survivor vs. killer thing. I just write it, so that some survivors maybe can see now, how many luck they had in the past and there is absolut no reason for some arguments.
Looping isn't an exploit

Not every killer exploits, but still... even with that truth in mind, every Legion got punished.
No matter how his playstyle was.
Imagine for a secound, survivors would be treated on the same way...
This forum would be full of complaining threads and I mean really full... Page 1 of the general forums would be nothing more like "why did you do this to us?" threads.
You guys can be lucky, because bhvr was in the past forgiving towards survivors. I would have been not. A exploiter is a exploiter. No matter if they are a killer, or a survivor and they all would be deserve to be perma banned.
What exploit is there now?

In other words, if you were the obsession, it was a free escape, and if you weren't the obsession, it was Flip Flop 2,0. 30% wiggle to get a free escape that you didn't even need to sit and recover for. Sometimes the killers had to eat not one DS, but four.
Juggling isn't a good counter. Someone body blocks? The person gets off without even using DS. Juggling itself took a lot of time. Time is not a currency killers can afford to spend. Again, why do you think people complain about gens being done too fast? Even now, it's pretty possible to complete all 5 gens in less than 5 minutes, and it can be pushed down to less than 4 minutes. Not to mention juggling could be avoided by just getting downed *away from a hook.*
You don't even know what the vaulting nerf is if that's what you're complaining about. What you are referring to is latency -- not any vaulting nerf.
BT is still an anti camping perk. You can't just run in with absolutely zero regards now, though. Camping is a strategy that killers are allowed to do, whether you like it or not and whether I like it or not, just like it's a strategy for survivors to do the generators in 4 minutes and gtfo before the game has even really started.
Also hooks got buffed there's a hook at every corner and right next to each other.

Looping is a legit method too but Killer wants loops to get cut off easily so they can end chases easily and what happened it got done but somehow looping exist, which shows survivors just simply adapt. Vaulting did get nerfed ----> https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/66546/fast-vault-nerf
Thats why BT was the way it was, if you wanted to camp you got punished for it but Killers hated the perk because they couldn't just sit there and get another kill easily, well now they can.
