The game would be better if all grabs were removed.

That is incorrect. The End game collapse starts when the hatch is closed, No Way Outs timer starts when the unfortunate survivor touches the exit gate switch, which means if they wait too long to start opening it(about half the EGC timer) they'd better have a backup key and Hope if they don't want to be a snack for the giant spider in the sky.
Lolwut? I was replying to your question on what I would change to make NWO more “fair” in 1v1 situations. That’s why I replied to you and your question.
Proposed changes are not what currently are in the game or are “correct.”

At that point the killer has sacrificed three survivors, found the hatch first, and closed it after playing with with at most 3 perks until endgame. Isn't that enough? If you feel it's unfair what would you propose to make it "fair"?
No Way Out timer activates when hatch is closed. The survivor does not have to tap a gate in a 1v1. Killer still gets the use of the ability, but not the alert.

I did not watch the video because I knew I would disagree too much. Thank you for the photos.
Outright I can say with absolute certainty that two best killer perks in 6.2.2 are Pain Resonance and STBFL. Seeing STBFL below Corrupt Intervention just does not mesh with my understanding of killers.
Seeing Whispers, the best tracking perk in the game, in ‘Weak’ tier also aint jiving so I’ll take a pass on analyzing this further.
Thanks again for the photo recap.

I am considering bringing Sole Survivor during my solo games. Doing doors in ten seconds sounds fantastic.
-
I sometimes get an unfair penalty.
Sometimes.
Definitely not six hours of it.

Yes but we're not talking about any kind of communication mechanism here which has any sensitive social/cultural/moral implications, are we?
The difference is that with written and spoken communication intent is clear. People who write horrible/offensive messages in the end-game chat are morally bankrupt - the same as someone who verbally says something offensive.
The difference here is that 'teabagging' is used in the game in many different ways. Sure, some survivors do it to be petty and tease the killer, but people also do it to be friendly, to say 'thank you' if they're given the hatch, to get their attention for a chase, or to just be silly and not take a video game so seriously.
When you say it's a gesture 'that is widely understood as something intended to cause offense' - what offense is that, exactly? As I said, maybe it's a way of teasing or being a little cheeky towards the killer if they 'lose', but isn't that the very nature of these types of games? You'd be hard pushed to find an example of any online, multiplayer game where this doesn't happen. Bad manners, competitive banter... call it what you want.
As an example, I proudly wear the LGBTQ+ flag charm in all my games and have experienced on numerous occasions people write vile comments in the EGC about it. The intent to cause offense here is pretty black and white - inarguable, in fact. That's why there are report features and policies in place to (rightfully) investigate actual issues of offensive behavior within the game and ban the people accordingly. For starters, 'teabagging' isn't reportable, and if it was, what grounds would it be on? "The survivor annoyed me because they beat me and teabagged me to let me know they beat me"... "The survivor crouched up and down a few times when they dropped a pallet and it offended me"? It's a game, it's not the real world. Should we start saying tunneling is offensive? face camping? These things (along with teabagging) may be considered 'bad manners' or whatever, but calling it an 'offense' is massively overstating it.
I stand by what I said. I personally don't teabag, but it's such a frivolous/petty little thing and there are actual people in the game (through EGC, streams, etc) saying and doing offensive things - should our energy be put into deterring that, instead? In your own words, 'isn't it really cringe' to put so much meaning and so much weight in such a meaningless thing?
It’s simpler than that: No player winning their match as killer cares about teabagging in that match.
Anything about teabagging other than people do-not-like-losing is extra dressing on they do-not-like-losing.

Devs did 6.1.0 and said "aight we can skip one update".
Maybe the game has achieved zen like balance. No longer needs updates.

I am pretty sure we learned most of changes before 6.1.0 PTB; maybe i remember wrong.
We do. They’re called Developer Updates and they do release them early.
Either they’re holding back, which is not their usual course of action/why this thread exists, or they literally have nothing for us to test tomorrow beyond last weeks Update. Which is also odd cause they announced that last weeks Update would not make 6.3.0 but that there would be a 6.3.0.
So yeah. Where’s the Dev Update for 6.3.0?

It doesn’t prevent an escape.

Broken perk. M&A is one single terror radius reducing perk and only does -8 meters.

Congratulations on being part of the problem with this community, I guess.
I’m literally mashing my ctrl key. Right. Now.
-
Okay, okay. Devils Advocate 😈
No Way Out is unfair in 1v1 situations. Three gens left, last man standing. Killer closes the hatch, then it activates when a survivor taps a door. It’s an automatic game ender.

It's really cringe to put the onus on the killer not to get offended by a gesture that is widely understood as something intended to cause offense.
"It's just an animation."
"It's just text."
"It's just vibrations in the air."
You can be reductive all you want, but all of these things are mechanisms of communication. Your attempt to dismiss the communicated message by trying to reduce it to the mechanism is ignorant, either intentionally or unintentionally.
Guess I’m just reductionist with my rated M for Mature game.
I like the wording here though. I do put the onus on the killer, or any mature player, to ‘not get offended.’
-
There is a point where a killer player is not likely to win with certain M1 killers. Doesn't stop me from playing M1 killers (I love playing with most of the roster). But there is a truth there.
Playing as Nurse all the time is so much worse for my enjoyment and take it as a challenge to win with the lower tier killers.
-
I’ve looked into this question myself through various research and what these so called hackers do, script purchasers really do, is have better gaming chairs.
-
This thread turned into an upvote party 🎉
-
The definition for camping and tunneling is so lose that I’ll be name called no matter what. I try to play nice until two gens pop. Then I’m getting name called.
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
NO
NO
NOOOOOOOOOÔ
-
No bs I tink 180s wil du
-
What if it was 5,000 bonus bloodpoints per survivor sacrificed/killed but each offering caps the number of maximum kills. Yellow caps at two. Green, three. Red, four. A little better than the all or nothing it currently is.
That or reduce the rarity from iridescent.
-
They should probably nerf STBFL too. It’s overtuned after 6.1.0.
-
My first thought is that endurance effects do not stack. Even though this is old news, I still see survivors hit with BT/OTR trying to dead hard the next M1.
-
If you made decisions and plays that led to losing horribly during the early & mid game, I do not see why the game should be gifting mercy kills to the killer player during the late game. I do not think Reassurance needs any adjustments.
-
@Brokenbones said:
We don't actually know what the mid chapter content is, we only know that the mori stuff is being added on top of it
I guess we'll find out next week (?). Here's hoping
True. I am also hopeful that there’s more to the mid chapter. It sounds like the Finisher Mori is being tested but not included in 6.3. So there must be more for 6.3 right?
-
My first thought was that there may be matches for survivors that aren’t frustrating if a fellow survivor is hacking but being a killer player too I get a ton of second hand frustration from those situations too. I’ve also seen hacking survivors make the game unenjoyable for their teammates too.

Maybe I need to restart my game, but I see in the news several outfits on sale. However, it’s not reflected in the store.
anyone else having the problem?
Could you post a screenshot of what’s on sale? I’m sorry I’m not able to address the issue since I’m not at home.
-
I think basekit unbreakable is fine. Especially in a world where every survivor slugged equals an automatic game ender. It’s obvious that without it killers wouldn’t bother hooking.
-
Shadowborn should be made basekit.
-
It will Initiate Finisher Mori. Gifting hatch will also be a thing of the past.
-
The last update was definitively unbalanced. This is I think a good game health adjustment.
And I think Last Man Standing will trigger more often than you may expect. It still is possible with survivors escaping. Even three survivors escaping.
-
I never mori survivors so this will increase my number of survivors killed dramatically.
-
I do not like playing as Executioner or Dredge. I mean I could. But I never want to.
Dredge I think has a weak power. It doesn't feel good or excite me to teleport to the lockers. He's probably due for some sort of buffs. Feels like his only advantage is the speed of returning to hook. Zubat compared him to Hag with extra steps. That's what it feels like for me.
Executioner I really enjoy caging and mori'ing survivors, but his ranged ability doesn't feel good with the change in sensitivity while holding the M2. I don't think they should change it necessarily but I don't enjoy it.

??? Why does that matter though, he's asking for ultra rare/legendary skins to be better. Do you not want them to be better?
I like most of the Iridescent outfits already. OP is down talking Baba Yaga while I’m over here thinking BY should be the standard.
Krampus and Blight’s Greek Outfit are incredibly detailed. I would like more of those. So idk if I agree that they’re bad or need improvement so much as I wish for more options.
It might just come down to matters of taste which reverts back to what Regulus said. “Don’t buy.”
-
Four conditions: All four survivors have to have been hooked at least once with three kills. Less than 20,000 bloodpoints is a loss. Also my wins have to include a survivor complaining in end game chat.

what is this logic
It's not like he's advocating for them to be removed. He wants them to be better. Would you not want the current skins you have to be better? Are you just being a contrarian for no reason whatsoever?
If you read the first sentence in the original post and then the response you’re quoting, the logic adds up quickly.

Yeah but then it's like...cool I got a reward I never even use.
Prestige portraits shouldn't be exclusive TBH. Make them a P50 or P100 reward. I think both people who got them early and those who missed out would be fine with that.
That would undo the whole point of them.
-
She’s got quite a few addons and combinations I would recommend but it’s hard to argue that her Iri and healing condemned addons aren’t the best.
Thats like saying Spirit is dependent on Mother Daughter Ring. Spirit’s base kit isn’t actually all that cracked. But her addons (which why wouldn’t you bring addons?) make her a top three killer.
-
The legacy portraits are no longer unlockable.
@[Deleted User] said:
They really should be. Every portrait post Roots of Dread is going to look so ugly.
Players with legacy portraits can turn it off in settings.
-
To hook all four survivors I’ll purposefully ignore another survivor. The other survivor pointing you out and farming you is a reportable offense in my opinion.
-
I played cross play off until the BBQ nerf and BP rewards were implemented. So I’d say they got what they wanted in combining the killer-loving-PC players and survivor-loving-console players. Knowing which area is in deficit also helped me get much quicker matches. Subtle but effective change.
-
Hillbilly has now been in his nerfed form longer than his unnerfed form that everyone misses.
IMO Hillbilly’s basekit remains one of the strongest kits in the game. His add ons are largely terrible. People still think Engravings are actually good lol.
I would buff his add ons, not his kit. Make him more of what makes him good. Closer to his teachable perks. Better silent kits. Addons that give an enduring effect.
Probably my #1 ask is to rework the overheated addons (Big Buckle, Pighouse Gloves) into versions that don’t need to be overheated. Big Buckle could be a mini Iri Brick. Pighouse could give a 25%+ enduring effect, period.
-
I did this challenge in one attempt with EndFury Hillbilly. Didn’t even know the downside until halfway through the match cause I break pallets with the saw.
Demogorgon and Iri Mastermind could be good alternatives as well.
-
There’s no current toxic combination. Some people are just poor losers. My advice is to learn to recognize when you’re dealing with someone being sour and then deciding the path you want to take.
I say there’s two paths when choosing to respond:
- Path of empathy. Tell them that you’re sorry they’re having a tough time. Or
- Path of fun. Call them out on being sore gamers, tell them you’re not changing your perks, and that you hope you see them again soon.
Up to you bud.
-
I knew ‘camping’ was too loose when I was chasing a survivor half the map away, they ran to the hook, got downed, and was labeled camper after the loss. But yeah, Dead by Camping.
-
I think their focus on licensed content is a great pump up for the game. I would agree that original characters are generally better, being able to play with horror movie and video game killers has definitely added to my enjoyment.
-
No, it’s a shared timer. I dont know with confidence the exact numbers but it is something like:
Laceration decay begins after a fifteen second delay after a knife hits. Then every three seconds after that initial fifteen seconds a knife is removed. It is conceivable that the David ran you for a long enough period to cause knives to decay.
-
What? Deathslinger rocks. Nice prestige, OP.
I definitely love certain killers ala Deathslinger but I’m currently leaning towards playing a bunch of different killers and dropping my bloodpoints earned in the trials into the killer used. I won’t be able to Prestige 100 one killer quickly but they’ll all kinda build together.
-
I used Terminus/No Way Out on Twins this weekend to great success. Having everyone injured before the last gen countered Adrenaline plays and allowed me to slug the survivors during the last phase.
-
OP needs to stop hacking. Period. #believeallkillers
