  • They can track this kind of stuff, they did it before with the bubba reveal by having a community goal but we failed then they revealed bubba anyways lmao.

They have a literal year to do this. Every year. And probably only need to ask once.

Also, if the problem really is licensing, then let me just ask this question, for all of you. If the issue was licensing, why do all licensed characters get P3 skins, by default? These alter the Survivor and Killer more than the crowns do (as the crowns don't change a thing), ergo wouldn't that mean that they too are exclusive to non-licensed characters?

Because it was asked already for permission at the time of the license was obtained. Since the anniversary crowns are all different each year, they need to make contact again for it. Not all companies/license owners will be available to discuss these kinds of things, heavily depends on the license that we are dealing with.

Spoiler I think that one of these vampires is killed by a gang member in a later entry, so I think actually that gang member may become a killer?

I'll do ya one better, thats the survivor. after the entity finds that it's acolyte vampire was killed by a mortal, it takes him as punishment to relive his fight in a twisted game in the vampire's favor to enact the vampires revenge.

  • balancing reasons i guess. its dumb tho.

  • swap the yellow addon for combat straps or syringe personally works for me. loving using amandas letter for the ambush potential. remember to crouch and ambush at pallet loops to doop survivors on opposite end of the loop or to uncrouch if they start to abandon the loop to catch them in the open.

Nurse = Couldn't keep up, even when blinking, they gen rushed

Hillbilly = Got two which is fine, but the others found a key

Oni = 1 dc-ed at the start, but i was countered by a broken window loop and pallet loops

Legion = got a 4k, but it was at the very end because a survivor kept looping me with a light and somehow knew where i was going even if it was behind a wall

so killer is a hard one to play. stay away from nurse until you get a better grasp of the killer.

hillbilly is in a kinda odd spot, he's balanced but not what he used to be. He can be fun and effective but has a bit of a skill ceiling to learn, dont feel bad for having some bad games.

Oni is VERY strong and rewarding with his power, id pick him over hill billy honestly, less frustrating.

legion isnt very strong but he is fun. easy to get into, but you gotta think outside the box to master.

all in all, this community is HARSH. dont take it personally from aggravating things from the survivors end, they do that to get you to chase them most of the time and keep in mind this game is a you vs them game, people will talk crap. just move on to the next game or take a breather with a different game if you feel aggravated then relish in your opponents tears when you 4k.

heres a ingame killer tip, if you feel like you cant catch a survivor, ditch em. find the weakest survivor and get them instead, it forces the strong ones to put themselves in a weaker position and off gens to help save. This is important to learn with Oni and just about every killer.

lastly, look up some tips on a killer to learn how to play them and when to use their abilities at what times.

If you need any more help, i can help ya!!

    happy hunting!!!

  • ok but actually, this is quite intriguing. "Vampires who live among us and draw their powers from another dimension." this kinda suggests that the entity has acolytes outside of the realm and there are people aware of it outside of the realm. It's entirely possible that the next original killer is a vampire.

  • i gravitate to weaker bois because they tend to have a jank power thats fun to make work. *cough cough* PIG *cough cough*

she has a power that isnt broken nor usless but it can be jank and making that work is fun for me.

  • i would love for it but the problem is licensing, getting in contact with every license holder and asking for permission to do this and it can be difficult to get into contact with said licenses.

Don't survivors often call Clown and Legion boring despite them also being regarded as some of the weakest killers?

yes, for clown, he is strong at loops by making safe pallets unsafe, so you predrop and hold W. legion...... idk, hes pretty fun for me.

the strong killers that are strong at 1v1's, they have a similar counter play, predrop pallet and run. its balanced but not fun. clown just has the weakest version of this 1v1 potential.

And i agree to that but he didnt mentioned that, he just complained about his buff in general and then complained about DS nerf.

he's indirectly referencing this idea by stating they are making an annoying ability stronger and uncounterable other than holding W. He's angry at the buffs because it just makes trickster even more oppressive, he might not of said the specific situation that makes him oppressive but thats part of what he's referring to.

  • @Ruma said:

Are you seriously complaining about a trickster buff?

i honestly feel the OP's point. The buffs given don't address his core issues. it just makes him stronger at short loops and so much weaker at long loops with the laceration nerf.

  • their genius idea for fixing a power that is buggy is to block where its used instead of fixing the buggy power.

  • id honestly count your losses. BHVR is a company known for making promises and not following up on them until years later or at all for that matter. It takes them so long to do most things if its not breaking the game. Even now, all of the game breaking bugs from the update and it takes more than a week to fix.

  • @CheekyLilGobbo said:

Twins have become the new Pig for unnecessary nerfs.

honestly tho, they probably have stats saying that she is killing too much like The Pig and now they are giving the twins the same treatment.

  • id use them and spend the points on a different killer/survivor. or save the points until you do prestige or hit the cap. get some practice with different addon combinations while using the cakes.

  • RPD, Haddonfield, or the game. tons of safe pallets for indoor maps and haddonfield with the reasons you listed.

I was nearly on rank 3. Back to back awful games. Rank 1 huntress who camped basement at 4 gens. Next a spirit (rank 2) tunneled everyone and nobody got to play. Rank 1 clown sat at hook and insta downed. Nobody escaped. This is red ranks. Im now allow on rank 6 and gave up.

the other matches sound like a nightmare but on the spirit one, how does a spirit tunnel everyone?

Only when Killers stop speed rushing kills.

speed rushing kills? you mean trying? so when killers stop trying, then you'll try and do totems? You realize that if your dying hella fast, thats usually on you for not utilizing your resources properly. hell, just holding W alone can stall up to a minute.

If a killer is "rushing kills", they are literally doing their objective as a killer. same with gen rushing, your doing your objective but for survivors, its riskier since you're taking the risk of hex perks screwing you over. If you willingly ignore totems just to do gens, then you know the risk, dont complain when a NOED bites you on the way out of the game.

  • I would like new mechanics that are along the line of RBT's or the plague's sickness. something unique ya know?

  • im not sure what your solution is but by solution for SWF is Scott Junds approach, bring solo onto the same power level of SWF by giving them a quick chat feature. communication is what makes SWF so strong so by giving solos a quick chat feature, newer survivors can have a better time learning the game by getting an idea of what they should be doing during certain situations and to allow the players get a better idea of whats going on without giving exact info. SWF is obviously still gonna be stronger but because solo will be able to communicate too, teamwork will be seen more often with less frustration along with the devs being more comfortable with buffing killers now that survivors are getting a huge boon.

  • scott jund is definitely a fav. He is causal but still a very good player in my opinion plus very knowledgeable and reasonable.

  • now this probably is the strangest yet neat looking map for freddy but it definitely is not good for the game. lol

  • i like the idea of when you start to repair a regressing gen, the perk activates just so it combos with surge/ruin and other regressing perks. I'd totally run Hex luli, undying, ruin, and overcharge. That would be pretty dope.

  • i think instead, just knock off 1-3% when you kick it. that way kicking will be more useful and worthwhile to do without downplaying other perks.

  • I like this change! nothing strong but its useful.

I feel like I'm going to regret getting involved but I have to ask...

Wall hack? Dafuq you Talkin bout?

theres an addon that allows wraith to see survivors aura within a short range while cloaked. It allows him to sneak up on survivors and catch them off guard without showing himself until he nneeewwwwmmmsss. He can also use it mid chase then uncloak but charging in from an unexpecting angle.

Does this change seem good? I think it be buckle up, but with gens. While also giving information to your team when a gen you worked on gets regressed. Should you it change whoever the obsession is once that action is completed though? What do you think?

I dig it, I'd say once you die though, the perk deactivates to really point out how important to keep yourself alive.

  • id say to not cleanse unless you cleanse in a dead zone on a corner of the map where its not useful. thats it.

  • @Gnarly said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2309120#Comment_2309120

What would you suggest? Or maybe I lower said bonus?

i wouldnt give it that bonus. I see that your wanting to give him a target on their head as the obsession so i'd give him a boon but in a different way. Maybe give him information.

while your the obsession, this perk is active. When a generator is 80% or more to be complete, it is highlighted yellow to you. while you are working on a generator that has 80% or more progression, your aura is revealed to the killer.

The benefit for the survivor is that they know where to prioritize gens without the use of info while also giving attention to you if your an active chaser. Or you can leave it be for the info since if its regressing, you will know and can try to prevent it from doing so.

  • Crowned king is a huge boon, im not a fan. I'd give it a different buff that doesnt involve finishing gens as a faster rate.

  • gas kills the survivors

Yeah no, I don't want to hear 12 year olds screaming n word from the top of their lungs and calling me trash.

As for solo q, we all hate it, but randomness of survivors you get makes this game fun. If I played with "pro" players every game and escape 90%of my games, I would stop playing completely. No enjoys games without challange. Don't play a lot these days, but it's still fun come back for tomb challenges and experience solo q madness.

I'm actually talking about more along the lines of a quick chat feature so that communication can be limited but still there to help get your team together. This won't make every game a pro team but it definitely will help out players on what they should be doing by seeing what others do with their call outs and stuff. You'll still get Nea's urban evading in the corner of the map and stuff but at least they get an idea of what to do. Smite does this very well with quick chat and thats a MOBA, it needs alot of options but it works. Console and PC.

Another thing that i like this idea is that it will encourage BHVR to buff killers to compensate for the new communication meta. What i mean by this is that BHVR balances the game around the majority, Solo Q games and this tends to be in the killers favor most of the time while SWF usually have a higher favor. If solo Q were on a similar power level of SWF, BHVR would need to buff killers to bring them on par again whether its individual killer buffs or an all round buff to all killers somehow. Either way, the game will change up and create a new meta for the better and the game will become easier to balance now that BHVR wouldn't have to worry about making a buff that would break SWF's.

    How does that sound?

  • I'd give a problem to slow to change the game as a problem. the meta could be so much more spicy if they were to give meaningful buffs/nerfs more often instead of waiting for 3 months for them to change how fast demo moves while channeling his leap.

  • This is a godsend. #BRINGBACKTHEBUTT

  • you cant kick with ruin up because ruin regresses gens and you cant kick a regressing gens.

The reason to run both is because once ruin is gone, you dont have much else slowdown for alot of the killers in the game. It helps alot to have that backup especially since ruin can go away 10 seconds into the match.

  • snowballers just got ALOT less counters.

  • as a killer main, im actually for buffing survivor. I want them to be on the same power level as SWF which is giving them the ability to communicate. I believe that if they do that, they would be more willing to buff under performing killers in a meaningful way to help compete against the new meta of communication. It will remove the divide of "SWF OP, MORI ALL SWF" on the killers end and survivors complaining that playing solo is a horrible experience along with newer players having an easier time learning the game with people giving call outs on what to do.

I think that it will be perfect for the game's health all around.

  • @GeneralV said:

Just a bad mechanic which shouldn't even existed. It is ludicrous that it once presented itself as a necessity.

I am positive that holding the game hostage was not as common as perceived to be.

it was pretty common actually. especially for new players who are immersed. people will walk soooooo slowly around the edge of the map to get to a exit gate/hatch and it would just drag on and on just waiting for the new survivor to find the exit gate and stuff. It was just awful experience to just wait and once they hear the heart beat, they hide for another 5 minutes and it just wasnt a good time.

An alternative option I've seen suggested is take the Pig's pink add-on that hides Jigsaw Boxes until the Reverse Bear Trap activates (Rule set No. 2, I think) and make it base kit.

A Survivor can go hunting for boxes before the trap activates but will have a harder time doing so, which helps with stalling, and will be under more pressure because they can't even really start until a gen pops.

its a nice idea, my only concern is that as a player who values info, its a bit harder to keep tabs on survivors movements. but i think the pro outweighs the cons.

  • I think it should just be a survivor mini chapter like ash. no visible killer that can be very unique in my opinion. we have guns, we haves bats, and we have zombies.

  • naughty bear trapper would be amazing yet terrifying. lmao

  • @Edgars_Raven said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2306052#Comment_2306052

So it activates on unhook instead of gen being completed? I like that too.

Oh and in the very rare instances i saw someone doing a gen with an active rbt i made sure that person didnt escape 😂

basically yeah, still have it so it deactivates during a chase but having it activate on the unhook will make the RTB's actually do its job with delay to a greater effect while still giving the survivors a choice on what they want to do.

  • the lack of communication is the cause of many problems with solo que.

  • i'd love that idea but i dont think its needed. I think just keeping the RTB active without the requirement of a gen popping would be healthier for the game due to it keeping up the anxiety factor with the timer and they still have a choice on how to deal with this, take it off or do something else. otherwise survivors will just do the boxes or help with something else without worry until someone else finishes a gen to activate the timer.

keep in mind that when people are working on gens with an active trap, they have a great chance of death if you start hairdressing them when they start searching boxes. You can punish them for ignoring the boxes heavily.

  • setting up traps at the beginning is crucial. you can also place traps infront of loop pallets that are dropped mid chase. When survivors see you do this, they tend to abandon the tile completely and when you realize that they just run, you can cancel the placing of the trap to get up faster and catch them in the open.

theres a streamer/youtuber called NotOtz. He is a trap main and a good one at that. Hes a good person to get some tips and tricks from.

  • @MadLordJack said:

    Yep. Plus, Surveillance is bugged.

oh no! how is it bugged?

  • I would use his gun only if the survivor is caught out of place or while vaulting while i have line of sight. other than that, loop as a M1 killer.
