That nerf is a 20% nerf so saying that change nothing is a lie. That single change in number is the diffence between a hit around a corner or a miss.
Btw lets nerf BT by 20% just to see the reaction of the player.
This why it's important to actually look at the numbers and not blindly at procentages.
Removing 20% of BT means 3 seconds less, that 12m of distance the survivor can make less.
The toy sword nerf is 0.2m...
Try buffing Lickers tongue from nemesis 20%. It still won't do anything
Chances are that if you play twins exactly the same as before and don't pay attention to the progress bar you won't feel the nerf cause the act of clicking M1 takes longer then 0.05 seconds

oh boy you have no idea of how important those 0.5s are...
If that was the case i would agree with you.
It isn't though. It's 0.05 seconds.
If they shadownerfed it nobody would see the difference

Survivor: god i'm bad at skillchecks, can probably still finish the gen though.
Overcharge skillcheck

Sounds cool, Spirit is pretty cool

The nerf barelly even does anything.
it's like 0.05 seconds less charge time. How often is that going to matter?
It's so pointless of a nerf that i really wonder why they bothered.

Not this...
So you're telling me that you haven't lost from a bad killer in dead by daylight. Losing my brain cells.
Can't lose what you don't have

Play with your food now only loses stacks if you actually hit someone

I just say i have a challenge to kill survivors.
Most of the time i'm not even lying

Time to change your name to TheSuckMan

It'll take a while, but I'm now lethal with my snipes.
When you first start, hit a single bird to swarm and then fire 3 like a shotgun, trying to lead your target.
As you get better, you'll just need 2. Then 1.
A few other tricks:
- If you know where a survivor is, line up 2 birds with a decent gap between then (about 10m) and you can double tap them for an injure, or even a down. You can do this on hooks do, but that's so dirty.
- People will often panic and leave gens when you bird them. This tends to cause a lot of 'mini pops', which are incredible.
- BBQ is a solid perk on her, hock birds at the auras.
- STBFL is actually decent on Artist, just bird the obsession.
- Flashlights are a huge threat to you, a single flick dispels birds. If you see 3-4 flashes, bring Franklins.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2757796#Comment_2757796
Weak? No.
She struggles sometimes though. Maps with a lot of elevation changes make her power kind of worthless. Flashlights mean you don't really have a power if survivors don't want you to.
Her addons are...gah. The fact that her second best addon is a brown says a lot.
Thanks, these are very helpfull
-
Hmmm
Is it still naming and shaming if you're naming and shaming yourself?
-
Fun little knowhow for others that lije to try Artist.
To damage a survivor with one volley of crows you need to walk forward for about 6 seconds after placing your first crow before placing your second.
Pretty niche but satisfying if you pull it off
-
They should change the "make traps darker" addon to a make traps slightly see through addon. That would make sure it's always atleast a little usefull
-
I struggled a lot with her too at start but i'm quite enjoying her now.
I can pull off some snipes (the yellow addon that increases the time crows are viseble helps a lot) but her power is more of a zoning tool.
Most of your hits are going to be m1 hits cause the survivors had to dodge your crows
-
Love Lithe, favorite exhaustion perk since i started playing.
-
Wish it allowed you to mori people who are fully stalked instead.
I have no issue with it if i'm the one who he stalked out but it is kinda sad if i just insta die while interacting with the killer for 2.5 seconds
-
@not_Queef said:
Better. It's not even close.
I'd love to see all the current whiners playing against the original insta-gens, insta-heals, 0 hook moris, true infinites, 7 blink Nurse etc
Not to mention vacuum pallets. That was a dead hard at every single pallet basically
-
For me it improved overall.
Some things more then others and there are some aspects that have taken a step back but overall it improved
-
They do stack so having 2 of the same thing isn't completely useless.
But yeah it's kinda odd and not the first time it happened
-
Artist: i can't believe i pulled that snipe off
-
I also didn't have that much issue with boons. Still don't really.
It wasen't untill i played with them that i saw how busted CoH is. There are a lot of survivors that don't utilise them properly.
I can't count how often i downed someone next to their boon, they see me snuff it to then instantly run back to that exact totem after getting unhooked to rebless it and give me another easy down.
Sometimes the same survivor multiple times in a match.
Or how the last gen is at 80 or so procent and they prioritise blessing their boon over it while i am decimating their teammates.

This is very true, and it's things we've seen with previous streams as well. We're also very clear that we cannot talk about upcoming stuff with much certainty, but yet still we get asked these questions and of course they're the most upvoted.
It does feel like we can't win at times for sure.
Could be an idea for the next Q&A to also release a FAQ with the answers so you can say questions in the FAQ won't be in the Q&A

Those are skill expressive for the killer though.
The generator time buff rewards killers who are good at consistently pressuring people off generators.
The healing rewards killers who can injure consistently.
The hook state timer rewards killers that can hook well.
The cleansing/blessing time changes reward killers that can pressure gens better making it riskier to go for totems.
Self-recovery time change rewards killers that can down well.
Exit Gate time change rewards killers that can stop Exit Gate escape attempts well.
By your logic, these are all fine because they are near negligible in the hands of a worse killer that will not be able to take full advantage of these tiny minor buffs.
After all, they're only essentially irrelevant buffs that mean basically nothing.
Also, wiggling does not need to have skill expression. It should be a constant. It is balanced AS a constant.
But hey, if you're fine with vaulting having skill checks and only a great skillcheck is a fast vault and good is medium and failed is slow vault, then sure. Cause why not, let's also add skill expression to that, right?
Everything does not need great skill checks. Especially when they're balanced around the lack thereof.
Just found it odd you are comparing a buff with simular nerfs instead of comparing it with simular buffs.
I honestly also don't really like the out of nowhere buff to wiggle speed.

He would most definitely be getting better opponents if he is getting 4 hooks and 4 kills. So the entire argument after that makes no sense.
That's all nice in theory but how will you do that in practise?
Make it so the LF with 4 hooks/4 kills advances, a 12 hooks/4 kills advances much more for it to be relevant but a 5 hook/1 kill goes back.
Also make sure that the 12 hook/4 kills person doesn't advance too much cause they could have had a lucky game and isn't actually prepared for the higher experienced survivors yet. It still needs to be gradual

6.25%, yes. I'm glad you are completely in support of every single one of these following changes then, as it's only "just" a small amount, unless you mean to tell me you're a hypocrite.
• Repair time increased from 80 to 85 seconds per gen
• Healing time increased from 16 to 17 seconds per health state
• Hook state timers reduced from 60 to 56.25 seconds per hook state
• Cleansing/blessing a totem is increased to 14 to 14.875 seconds
• Blessing a Hex totem is increased from 24 to 25.5 seconds
• Self-recovery (until the 95% default cap) increased from 30.4 seconds to 32.3 seconds
• Opening an Exit Gate increased from 20 seconds to 21.25 seconds
Some of those things aren't really the same.
You will have far fewer instances of being able to wiggle for 15 seconds then repairing generators for example.
Wouldn't it make more sense to compare reducing killer actions too? For example pallet breaking speed from 2.6 to 2.43 seconds

You're making an assumption here that is false. You assume the LF gets 4 kills and 4 hooks and therefore does not advance his MMR.
I said let's make a skill system where 4 hooks -> 4 kills is less skillful than 12 hooks -> 4 kills.
In this case we have to imagine Killer A is LF, and Killer B is someone else. Killer B will be getting higher tier survivors than Killer A. Leatherface will NOT be getting easier opponents for getting 4 kills from 4 hooks.
But he's also not getting more difficult opponents either. The LF is already at the level where he can get 4k with 4 hooks. So the effect is the same. Killer A also should get higher tier survivors in that case.
I don't think hooks for mmr will ever work unless you start working around all the edge cases to the point of it just not being worth it.
I also don't understand why people so desperately want the hidden mmr number to represent skill. It's not that you can compare it with anyone. Not even yourself.
Mmr is doing an adequite job. The problem isn't really mmr, it just highlighted the problems that were already in the game

Well, but it would be just for distance thing like other ex-perks.
It would remove all those extra effects that DH has unlike others. You would be able to actually hit players with your ranged killers and Trapper.
Not being to DH over traps would be great. And honestly as long as you don't see it constantly anymore i don't really care what they do with it.
-
I saw a suggestion here once to make the clowns gas invert your controls.
A blurry screen is the lesser of all the evils they could do to represent the feeling of being drugged
-
I wouldn't like that.
The infuriating part about dead hard is the distance to me.
The I-frames atleast have some form of counterplay by holdibg your swing. There is nothing you can do about the distance part except just accept that the survivor can greed all they want and still get away with it.
-
Look at it this way.
A bubba 4k with only 4 hooks. Just camping and the survivors took the bait.
Does this need to get a decrease in mmr so they face even less experienced survivors or does their mmr need to increase so they start facing survivors that know how to deal with this.

Angry spirit is quite adorable

I’m definitely more excited by the Ring IP than I am Silent Hill and Resident Evil since I never played either of those games and their movies were … ok? 🤷♂️
And yeah, mechanically I’m really curious to see what they come up with. Personally I’m hoping for something maybe like this
- The map has a bunch of televisions in places where Jigsaw boxes can appear. Sadako can teleport through the televisions similar to how Freddy teleports to gens.
- Survivors who have Sadako in their line of sight slowly become Cursed over time. The longer you look at her the worse the effects get. It could be anything ranging from Hindered movement to Blindness or Hallucinations or even Exposed if you watch her long enough. The Curses grow worse and last until the survivor interacts with the VCRs at the TV sets which removes it. Basically I love the idea of a killer you actively want to avoid looking at while running away or doing gens, etc.
- Finally her Power button might allow her to actively do something useful against people who are Cursed, such as maybe seeing their auras or slowing them down, or maybe even causing them to see illusions or blur their vision or impact the environment in some way. This is pretty open ended, other than I’m sure the devs will want her to be able to do something fun and thematic with her Power button.
That would be cool.
Looping often requires you to look back to see what the killer is doing. Having looking back at the killer have some effect is a pretty sweet idea
-
Nothing like hearing that Quick and Quiet gasp and being called a cheater for pulling them out the locker and saying you heard them despite the perk
-
Yeah i'm hoping for something like that too.
She seems to be a perfect fit for that kind of gamestyle
-
Healthier? Perhaps.
More boring? Definitively.
DbD already has the issue of being a relatively repetative game. Dumbing it down really is the last thing they should be doing.
I'd rather have a unbalanced game with a variety of playstyles then a balanced game that plays the exact same every time
-
I'm torn.
What you said disgust me but that picture of pig is mesmerizing
-
Thrill of the Hunt paired with a lot of hexes does a good job but isn't consistant with hexes being hexes
Sloppy butcher is okay. It adds 4 seconds to the selfheal and now that people have the mindset of healing all the time it can add up.
Nurses calling is pretty good now too as most survivors have abandoned shadow step. You are sadly screwed if you face the oddball that does run it ofcourse
Best and most concistant way is to just play chase killers and don't give them a chance to heal. Also be efficient when snuffing totems. Don't ever drop a chase for them. Only snuff them after a hook or down

Legionface
Just give Legion a chainsaw during frenzy
-
Same, I'm a bit worried too.
-
Way to go.
I stumbled on this achievement by luck cause survivors were way to desperate to make a basement save.
It's one of those achievements that are handed to you on a silver plater or are straight up impossible depending on what the survivors do
