lets expect it tomorrow, so play a lot and use all your Flans before Prestige 1 for every character ;-).
You do know you won't lose items from prestiging anymore right?

If it's the bm you're trying to get rid of why not just remove the notification it gives after the second or third vault
Blocking the pallets seems a bit too hand holdy for me. I think i would activelly feel bad if i only got a hit cause the game just gave it too me.
I already feel bad if i ever reach bloodlust tier 2
-
To be fair how many of the other games you played are asymetrical 4v1's?
I think DbD matchmaking was kinda doomed from the start because of that.
It could ofcourse be a lot better. But i don't think you can realistically have both accurate and fast matchmaking with these types of games. There are just to many variables.
-
32 what?
procent?
Gens?
Jakes?
Aaaaah!
-
Going purposfully down to deep wound to counter corrupt has the same energy as afking untill 3 gens are done so you can start with 3 stacks if fire up
-
40k bloodpoint max per match, this will do a lot more then people realise
Dead hard change. Still think it's going to be pretty strong but atleast not "can't do anything" about it strong
Base bt and speedboost. If your teammates know what they are doing and actually bodyblock you will never be hardtunneled of hook outside of bubba and maybe trickster (if i reach a playable tile i don't concidder it unfair anymore)
Base killer buffs, doing everything a little faster is going to be great
I think the increased gen times is going to be a bit of an overkill though but we'll see

Because it flops more then it flips

They are superfun to play though so surely that balances it out!

Oh. Sorry if I sounded like... forcing you to accept my point, it's just odd for me to throw math out of the window just because. Didn't mean to prove you wrong, really. If you think actual numbers are lower than that - that's ok, I was throwing in my thoughts too, about artificial RNG. Really think they might have some pity multiplyers for survs.
People on this forum hate math
Especially if it proves them wrong

Spinning is actually more ez to pull off on controller than on M&K.
Also whats next? Killers asking for the survivors to begin the trial with all 4 survivors spawned on hooks with a 4% chance to escape to actually play the game?
Lol, quite a leap from asking to remove some last ditch effort that only works against new players or console players to asking for all survivors to be hooked from the start.
-
I think it's a fine change
People will still be caught offguard by it but now getting the totem and then going for the resque is a lot more doable.
Counterstrategy is still the same just more effective. Remember totem locations and sweep for noed after gens are powered
-
She is superfun if you go for snipes.
It's not the best way to play but god is it satisfying hitting a survivor crossmap while chasing another

No, no, I'm fully fine with how they are doing the catch up mechanic for people who didn't prestige, they are getting the best deal and I'm happy for them.
I'm NOT fine with the efforts of the other people being brushed off like it was nothing.
I prestiged because it was the only way to get the bloody cosmetics. Now everyone gets that without losing addons and bloodpoints. I'm fine with that, but at least recognize my efforts in a proper way.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3059430#Comment_3059430
Nope, your comparison is missing a few points:
It would be more like this:
The town organises a race or a treasure hunt and says that there will be a prize for whoever participates in it.
Someone cares about the prize, so they train, participate and even manage to win it.
Someone else doesn't even bother to participate and while the other train they go out for drinks or partying
The town decides that the race or treasure hunt was too hard, and gives the prize to everyone. People who didn't even bother to participate included.
People who won complain to the town.
The town gives them a sticker and calls it a day.
Now people who most likely didn't even bother to partecipate in the race are telling people who won it that they are being petty and should settle for the useless sticker.
This is more akin to what happened
That still sounds like the people who won are being petty is heck
You got the price and you know you won.
Is it really worth that less that other people get it too?
Sorry maybe a culture thing but it does sound extremely petty to me

There is nothing unfair about this. People who p3 all perks did it cause they wanted to p3 and have all perks.
BHVR to people who got all perks without prestiging: "Oh don't worry, your efforts are rewarded, we'll count how many perks you got and give you prestige levels according to this"
BHVR to people who P3 just before the update (wasting 4.5 million bloodpoints): "Good boy, here's a cosmetic effect only you can see and you'll most likely disable in the future"
BHVR to people who P3 (wasting 4.5 million bloodpoints) AND got all perks: "What do you want from me? Go play in the dirt"
Nothing wrong with that?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3059054#Comment_3059054
Recognition would be appreciated, especially when they promised such recognition and then massively underdelivered.
And I find highly ironic the fact that the more time you invested in the game, the less it was worth it.
You wasted 4.5 million bloodpoints prestiging? Yeah, here's an effect only you can see and you'll most likely disable
You went the extra mile to collect ALL perks after spending 4.5 million additional bloodpoints? Well BHVR doesn't really care about it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3058966#Comment_3058966
I would be fine with them saying "We appreciate your feedback, we recognize you have valid points, we're listening to our beloved community" Nothing, we get nothing instead. Damage control at most is what we get.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3058913#Comment_3058913
Oh I don't care about bragging either, that's why I'd prefer some ######### bloodpoints or iridescent shards over a different portrait effect or an end game icon, don't get me wrong
No there is nothing wrong with that.
When you p3 you got the bloody cosmetic that you were told you'd get and when you got all perks you got exactly that.
You had the bloody cosmetics and all perks while the ones who didn't p3 and all perks didn't.
You suddenly expecting more then what was first agreed on is entitlement. Nothing more
Imagine eating at a all you can eat restaurant and eating the most anyone has ever eaten there. And then when the management decides to give you a ribbon you start complaining the ribbon they are offering isn't big enough.
That's how petty this is
-
A lot of people think BHVR is giving them the middle finger when they sneeze too loud...
There is nothing unfair about this. People who p3 all perks did it cause they wanted to p3 and have all perks.
Which they did. They got what they were promised
Just because it suddenly isn't rewarded further doesn't mean they didn't reap the benefits of it already. They got the perks and addons to play with untill now. Nothing was wasted cause they got what they were promised.
If the base game became free would people also complain about the 20 bucks they "wasted" completely ignoring all the hours they have from before it was free?
-
They did do a roadmap right? There wasen't a nurse update in there so atleast a year.
Also wasen't twins suppose to be the next mayor killer to be looked at?

Killer perk: Malicious Projection
When you move backwards Malicious Projection activates
For 10 seconds you lose your red light and a copy of the red light stays in the the place Malicious Projection was activated
Malicious Projection has a cooldown of 30/25/20 seconds

In all honesty, Dead Hard could pretty much be used the exact same way as before with 1 second of invulnerability.
Survivors run up to pallets, realize they won't make (or had it planned out) and press the E key allowing them enough distance to make it to the pallet. Again, no counterplay for regular m1 killers.
So the fact they changed it again is fine by me.
There is a bit of counterplay
While in animation they can't drop the pallet. And there is a timeframe between dropping a pallet and getting a stun.
The timing will be a bit tricky at first but it wouldn't be too hard to get the muscle memory to hit just as dead hard ends.
It will even be benificial to the killer if they do cause then they have a down and a pallet out of the way
-
It's pretty funny how the flavor text is like
"Basic Botany Knowledge could save your life someday"
And now it activally tries to kill you if you find a brown medkit in a chest
-
As a general rule of thumb that is a bad question to askin the forums.
People come here to vent. Most of the responses are going to be negative no matter the state of the game.
Personally i am enjoying the game. Lot's of changes coming up too so it will atleast be quite different from when you left
-
I do wonder if they will atleast increase the escape and sacrifice one
Especially escape. Can you even get 10k points in that category?
-
I think it would be fine if it went to 300%
That or have the speed of the skill check be a lot higher the further it gets to maximun

Just wonderful 🤡🤡🤡
Did you read it all the way?

It's the same reason why hits look so weird, apparently. The hitbox doesn't adjust it's position, like, ever (only it's height when you're, say, crouching or repairing a gen).

The red pill obviously shows the hitbox. Regardless of action it stays there, so you need to aim for that section. Swinging at the head of the survivor would do nothing bevause the hitbox isn't there.
I failed art class, can you tell

it's amazing how forum users are so triggered when someone suggests a streamer's opinion to them. you see a completely different reaction than reddit for example.
on reddit people usually respect the opinions of the well known streamers as they have a lot of experience and game knowledge to back it up, but on the forums??
a lot of disrespect to these streamers saying their opinions are not the only valid ones when the one suggesting it never even claimed it to be, or "you should form your own opinion" as if sharing an opinion with someone else is a crime.
it's very obvious people here have a hate boner for streamers and may i say it's because they never could get the same recognition streamers do even tho they're also experienced players?
A lot of it depends on how it is phrased
The op litterally went
Haha!! Almighty Scott has the same oppinion as me. So i must be right. Checkmate losers!!
Not really the same as suggesting a oppinion
I agree the reaction here get a bit viceral but it isn't really wrong.
Lot's of experience and gameknowledge does not make these people omniscient. They have been wrong about things before and they will be wrong about things again in the future.
They can make stronger arguments but what they say should never just be concidert as the truth
-
Made something simular to this before but it's fun
triskaidekaphobia (fear of number 13)
Everytime you injure a survivor get a token, when you get 13 tokens the following happens
All generators explode and lose 13% progress
All survivors suffer from Blindness Exhaustion, Exposed and Incapacitated effect and have their aura's revealed for 13 seconds
Killer kicks pallets, generators and breakable walls 13% faster , moves 13% faster and recovers 13% faster from basic attacks for 13 seconds
All windows and pallets get blocked for 13 seconds
Then triskaidekaphobia deactivates
-
Trapper is getting a pretty huge indirect buff next patch
Longer gen times means more time to set up and no more death harding through traps.
The most used perk no longer being able to use his power against him is pretty big

"I consider his statement way more valuable than just some random guy from dbd forum"
And that is a pretty bad thing to think. The only difference between content creators and other people is that they have a camera on their face
Even if they are very good at the game doesn't mean they know everything about it. They are just as human as the rest of us.
Scott also thought Overcome would be one of the best exhaustion perks and it's horrible
Otz who also is a very good player/content creator was completely wrong about how the slowdown of thrill worked
The mindset of "content creators know best" is very dangerous. You'd be surprised about how many things the community is just wrong about once you objectivilly look at things instead of just believing whatever someone says.
Scott's oppinion is 100% valid. It is not worth more then anyone elses. Not by a long shot
-
Yeah the perk is pretty bad now but to be fair it is reasonable why they played it safe
When it does it's thing it's more often then not results in a hit and a pallet that you don't have to waste time breaking anymore
It's useless now cause it never does it's thing but it would get busted very quickly if it happened even semi regulary
-
I mean she is weak and debatably the worst but if you are used to m1 killers then power level doesn't really matter that much right?
If you are used to playing ghostface sadekko is not going to feel thaaat much weaker
Biggest difference between pinhead and sadekko is the skill level
Sadekko is pretty straight forward and is more about how well you know maps. Pinhead is more mechanical demanding and understanding box spawns

So? The Killer gets to kick another gen and still gets the base regression for the one that you let go, its a lose lose situation but this thread is moot since this combo will be gone when Pain Resonance no longer gives the noise notificatio and PGTW is severely nerfed.
You obviously don't let it keep regressing if you can
Hide somewhere nearby and either the killer leaves to kick another gen and you can jump on the one that got hit with pr with minimal regression or they will go look for you and chase you and they will have to not use their pop
The combo was overtuned but their were definitively ways around it
-
Moring everyone with 5 stacks of devour
Legion frenzy downs are so satisfying
Nothing beats the sound of a trap closing followed by a scream
With trickster hitting all 6 knives in a row. That tink sound is so fun
A good coup de grace lunge also is very satisfying
The speed at which you break pallets with brutal and 5 stacks of fire up

Yeah but point is now you need to use perk for information or you need to guess it.
PR had everything: Regression, notification and survivor was screaming. It created lose - lose games for survivor. Do not repair gen when someone down, wait for PR. Do not touch gen because killer know which gen is most repaired, they will come for pop etc.
I am glad this gone.
Yeah PR was a bit too much all in one package
It's still going to be good. Just not everything
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

So just watch the gen while they are losing progression? Nice logic.
I am glad devs fixed this issue, now PR will still make your gen lose progression but they can not see which generator anymore. So kinda Pop + PR or PR + DMS combos died.
It would take like 80 seconds before the gen lost the same progress the pop would have done so yeah watching the gen lose progress is the right move here.
The perks technically don't stack. Survivors allow them to stack
It is a good change that they are removing the notification though, you can still get something simular if you add surveilance but atleast it takes a perk slot more

The rework WAS good. Then people hated forever Freddy. Instead of just taking away the gen slowdown add ons. They took a nerf bat and beat the rework to death.
That's a completely fair opinion
But in my opinion Freddy's rework was the single worst thing that happened in this game.
They should never remove a killer like that again. All other reworks at least kept the concept the same

This would be my other question. if your argument is the BP loss is so insignificant why remove it at all? Sure I see the logic behind removing it from the perk but I feel most people making these posts and arguments are not fighting to have it put on the perk most like that it's being removed.
However, the argument is the mechanic gets backed in baseline and the perks get some other thing added or tuned to make up for the nerf or there is just an overall boost to BP gain.
I'm not saying it's insignificant
Just that it is not doubling it like people are saying. That it's not that hefty of a blow that people are expecting.
Just an observation that in the grand scheme it didn't do as much as people praised it for
Doesn't really matter anymore, it's gone soon anyway

Ok. I'm your boss at your job in real life. I know I'm not actually, this is just an analogy. I've got some bad news. I'm cutting your salary in half. Sorry, sacrifices need to be made and I know you're a team player. Good news is your sales commission is going to stay the same. I'm not going to mess with the end of year bonus either.
What's that? You quit? I think you're overvaluing your salary. I mean the end of year bonus is staying the same and the sales commission is staying the same. I don't see what the big deal is?
First of i'm not saying bbq was useless. Just pointing out that you're not going to cut the bloodpoints you earn in half like a lot of people think it's going to be. realistically it's more like 20% which isn't as drastic as people are making it out to be
Second if you're going to use that analogy a more accurate version is that stores will be cheaper but the bonus on overtime will be halved. For people who don't do much overtime it won't change much, and for the people who do it won't change enough to offset the reduction of store prices
-
@Deathstroke said:
Yes you're seeing it wrong it gives me double bp almost always or close to it. So while BHVR says they reduced the grind by 3× that will not be the case after I earn half less bp after the change. And in fact they increased grind now you have to prestigate to level 100 and each time pay 50K bp too...
See that's where so many people are wrong, BBQ doesn't double your bp. It doubles it in the trail. It does nothing for bp earned outside of that
Let's crunch some numbers
Last tome was 3015k in bloodpoints total over the span of 3 months. So that's an avarage of about 1000k a month
If you do your daillies everyday you have 900k per month at a minimun. there are 60k daillies but let's lowball it
You can earn up to 2 mil from rank rewards. But again let's say your a killer main and struggled a bit and only just made it in red ranks meaning 700k
That's 2.6 milion bp you earned that month that bbq did nothing with
If you avarage 25k bp per game and get 4 stacks every game (which is bs but again for the sake of argument) you would need to play 52 matches with 4 stacks for bbq to make up 25% of the bp you earned
And that's with lowballing the numbers. get iri 1 on both survivor and killer and that number changes to 78 matches per month
Not even counting offerings. every 5 survivor pudding you play or bps anyone plays adds 3 matches you need to play to have BBQ make up 25% of your total bp
And then i haven't even touched gift codes and events. there is a forum post where they asked how many flans people have and it wasen't hard to get into the thousands. More bp bbq does nothing with
You also won't always get 4 stacks. If you say you do you're lying. You're not going to tell me killers needed to be buffed cause the kill rate was to low but everyone still casually got their 4 bbq stacks all the time. Between Swf squads, survivors hiding to escape via hatch or DC's before you can hook you can miss quite a few stacks
Now it's ofcourse still a good chunk of bp bbq gives. But it's nowhere near double your bp that people are saying it does
-
@EntitySpawn said:
BBQ & WGLF gave up to 100% bp bonus for all categories so that's a set double base BP at max, so I can turn my 4k hours into 8k hours just by running those perks and getting max stacks a game
While offerings help most are pointless, not only do you need to buy them but they give you little reward,
- brown = 1k
- Yellow = 2k
- Green = 3k
- BBQ = 32K at max
See the big difference there?
Bbq doesn't double your total bloodpoints though
It doubles the points you get in a trail
What i'm starting to think about is that a lot of bp we earn is outside of trails
Bbq does nothing for daillies, archives, events, bp codes, rank reset...
It's not really that bbq doesn't do much. But that the bp we earn per trail is so little that doubling it doesn't make as big of a difference people are thinking it does

lets say you played 4 games, earned a normal amount of BP each, (6000bp x 4 categories x 4 games = 96,000). In those 4 games, you completed a daily ritual as well as a tome challenge. (30,000 x 2 = 60,000). With BBQ bp bonus, youd get (96,000 x 2 + 60,000 = 252,000) total in those 4 matches., bonus is 96,000 of those bp, so bbq takes up 38% of your bp earnings that day
Remember that this value is 4 games. the percentage will only increase as you play more. After all, you only get 1 daily ritual every day, and tomes usually take 2-5 matches to complete depending on which level you're on.
Example: 12 Games where you also get an normal amount of bp, (6000 x 4 x 12 = 288,000). get a 30,000bp ritual to complete and completed 3 tome challenges (30,000 x 3 = 90,000). Your total bp with BBQ bp bonus is (288,000 x 2 + 30,000 + 90,000 = 696,000). BP bonus is 288,000 out of this, aka 41.3%
Also do note that i am excluding BP offerings, if i included them the percentages will increase even more.
TL;DR = BBQ bp bonus takes up 30-45%% of your BP earnings, this increases a lot once you bring good offerings and play well
You are also kinda assuming you'll get all 4 stacks all the time
Which isn't very realistic
Even if you're the best player in the world a survivor who dc's before you hook them is completely outside of your control and let's be honest it's not really uncommon
The more i think about the numbers the more i think bbq felt more impactfull then it actually is
-

Yeah but you reached 30-45%
You also excluded rank rewards which for most players is like 500k and for the really dedicated 1 mil.
You also excluded any codes which during events often were 200k each. They aren't that uncommon
Like you said you also excluded bp offerings which would decrease the % of what bbq actually gives you (60k with bbq means bbq was 50% of the bloodpoints earned, 90k with bbq and bps is 33% of the bloodpoints earned by bbq)
Especially during the aniversarries you can get absolutely loaded with bp offerings. There were like 2-3 "bbq's" in each bloodweb.
Also excluded events like bloodhunts and stuff
Also excluded the new match incentive they are adding
I'm probably forgetting stuff. The beta tab thingy also gave bp right?
How much of your 30-45% is going to be left if you include all of that.
Especially for the avarage player. Most don't play 12 trails a day. I play a max of 3 and i think that's a safe bet most people play.
Don't get me wrong it's a hefty amount but your math with excluding all you did just convinced me more it's probably only 20-25% or something and not double as people are saying
-
I always wanted to have a christmas offering that gave the other side bonus bloodpoints
Season of giving and all that
-
I do wish the catogories from bloodpoints were upped a little. So often something like devious maxes out halfway the match
Even something as small as increasing it from 8000 to 10000 per catogory and the max being 40000 per match would do so much
-
It is kinda weird as t bagging in dbd doesn't really make sense.
It's suppose to be done standing over the person you are bagging. Doing it from a distance actually means nothing.
From a technical standpoint survivors can't t-bag killers. They are doing it wrong
