Wow, Deathslinger's perks and power sound really cool!
-
Anyone have pictures of the perks and Killer power/add-ons?
-
Restraint and other afflictions work in tier 1?
Shock range add-ons lost their charge penalty?
I'm on ######### Cloud 9 right now. Still wish we had the Exhaustion add-on but it's not that big of deal right now.
-
If you want to be stealthy against Doctor, then you can run Calm Spirit or hide in lockers when you hear him charging the Static Blast.
When being chased by him, DO NOT camp pallets and end your loops early. Dropping a pallet early against Doctor can make it harder for him to use his stun effectively.
-
I think this is aimed more at god loops like the main buildings on Ironworks, Groaning Storehouse, and four out of the five Coldwind maps. Wouldn't be surprised if the reworks for those maps will include breakable walls and the new map is just a test.
-
Tier 15. I've only been playing 2-3 games a day unfortunately. Been trying to finish some games in my backlog recently.
-
To make coordinated SWF hell to go up against and to make sure that new Survivors won't have any trouble at all.
-
It's more a big buff that is going to be really annoying to Killers. Survivors are going to abuse the ######### out of this, leading to a really unfun Killer experience. With how ######### the matchmaking is, I can easily see a lot of new Killers getting matched with high rank Survivors and having all of their hooks get sabotaged. Not too sure if this is a good idea.
-
I hope it's as fast as breaking pallets.

Can you even hear whispers with the plagues whispers being so loud?
Not sure, but the perk lights up when it's active.
-
Then she could just bring Whispers to have an easier time finding you.
-
Demogorgon needs to have his footstep sound lowered to the same level as other Killers, his map-wide audio cues removed (who the ######### thought it was a good idea for the entire map to know that Demo attacked), and an add-on buff. Not only does Demo have way too many portal add-ons, but the numbers on them are pathetic. It’s really sad that its best add-ons are an uncommon and common combo and the high rarity ones range from ok to trash.
-
Wait someone lost their Fog Whisperer status? Who?
-
I love it because of all of the unsafe loops.
-
Well, guess I’ll just be dodging more often then. Mori and Key challenges should not exist at all.

This would bring hatch standoffs back.
How? If there's only one Survivor left, then the EGC will kill them. If there's multiple Survivors left, then they'll just rush the gens or they can bodyblock.
-
I find it funny when that happens. It means you pissed them off enough to where they’ll do anything to deny you points.
-
@MegaWaffle Holy #########, you really want that dollar.

The devs themselves didn't necessarily say that they thought it was too powerful.
They removed it because it was their "Least favourite affliction"
I don’t buy the devs’ reasoning for a second. It was their least favorite because it was too powerful, at least to bad Survivors. They couldn’t handle being without their precious Exhaustion perk, so the devs nerfed the add-on by giving it a somewhat useless effect and are using “we didn’t like it” as an excuse so they don’t have to reveal the true purpose behind the change.

But his rare add ons are useful.
Obedience- Takes longer to snap out of it and increases chances of counter clockwise skill checks
Discipline- Increases madness inflicted by shock therapy and survivors perceive the red stain and TR for x amount of seconds
Restraint- Survivor auras are shown for x seconds when their madness increases and increases duration of Illusionary Doctors, the doctor sees the auras of the illusions
Calm- Increases TR when Static Blast is ready and decreases TR when Static Blast is on cool down and survivors gain a chance of hearing the TR for x seconds
Iridescent King - Shock Therapy and Static Blast cause the survivor to gain a random affliction from the following list
Iridescent Order - Illusionary pallets
Iridescent Restraint - Increases duration of Illusionary Doctors
Iridescent Calm- Survivors hear a constant distant heartbeat
Iridescent Discipline- Survivors perceive the red stain when being chased
Iridescent Obediance - Skill checks turn counter clockwise
And lastly Iridescent Queen- All survivors struck by Shock Therapy or Static Blast acquire a Static Charge. Any time a survivor is within 4 meters if another survivor carrying Static Charge, The survivor receives a shock with identical effects as the Shock therapy ability.
All of these add ons are super oppressive with the right build. He does not need exhaustion on top of all these
I am not talking about all of Doctor’s rare add-ons. I am only talking about his Obedience add-on and that it should have its effect changes reverted. If counterclockwise skill checks are so useful and it was worth losing the Exhaustion effect, then why have I not had Survivors miss them? Am I just going up against good Survivors? The old Exhaustion effect was fine and attached to a very rare add-on. It didn’t deserve to be removed.

Doctor is amazing. Wdym?
Doctor is my 2nd main behind Freddy. I use Dying Light, Whispers, Pop and Overcharge. Usually ends in 3ks and 4ks. Against a good team I get a 2k.
Doctor doesn't need exhaustion add ons, he's oppressive enough
I’m not talking about Doctor himself. I agree that he is a great Killer. I main Doctor too. I’m talking about his add-on and it not being as useful as it sounds, especially for a rare add-on.
I also never said you were bad with him. I only said his add-on was not that useful and it should get its Exhaustion back. Why are you so afraid to discuss that? Do you like rare add-ons that aren’t useful?

Who said it was Dead Hard? Dead Hard is becoming worse and worse every day. Even for distance.
A single add on of common rarity deactivating a perk for pretty much the whole game is not fun for anyone
EDIT: Doctor doesn't need his back. Iridescent King with all of those afflictions as well as counter clockwise skill checks is strong enough already.
I should know. I main him
Doctor’s was a very rare add-on and you had to get the Survivors to tier 3. It was a strong effect on a high rarity add-on. Dead Hard was just an example. You can replace it with any other Exhaustion perk.
Counter-clockwise skill checks are also not that useful unless your entire build is dedicated to skill checks or you’re up against Survivors that can’t hit skill checks. Most Survivors ignore it or they miss only one before realizing what’s happening. If you have Lullaby, then they know to expect quieter skill checks and if they do miss, then that’s the perk doing its job, not the add-on. Sorry that I’m trying to make his add-on useful against all Survivors again.
-
Because Survivors don't need to use their Exhaustion perk to win and should be able to survive without it. Sorry that you can't use your Dead Hard every game. Doctor should get his back and Demogorgon's should be buffed.
-
I agree with your Enduring idea, but not the Head On one. Reducing the timer to one second would be too annoying to Killers and give too big of a reward for too little effort.
With a three second activation time, the Survivor has to choose when it's safe to go for a Head On stun. If they jump in a locker at the wrong time, then the Killer can just grab them out of the locker. Reducing that timer to one second will just allow Survivors to jump into a locker and get a stun whenever they feel like it without having to worry about the Killer grabbing them. You'd have to be breathing down their neck for this tactic to fail. Every second is important in a game like DbD, and your Head On idea would just give Survivors a very, very easy way to waste countless seconds without any skill involved. It would also be an SWF bully group's best friend. It's already annoying enough with the three second activation timer and with how ######### the servers can be, so imagine them with a one second timer. I wouldn't be surprised if there's an increase in camping, AFKing and opening gates at the end, and even DCing not because the Killer can't win, but because they don't want to go through stun hell to do so.
-
For some reason, the devs are really afraid of countries banning their game. Are those countries supporting the game that much to where them banning DbD would have a noticeable impact on its revenue?
-
It should be reworked instead. If the devs are going in order of the statement on one of their streams a couple months ago, then we should see either Haddonfield or Coldwind reworked.
-
I hope it’ll be around Doctor’s level, but I think it’ll be around Demogorgon’s level.
-
######### YES!
This should've been a part of his base kit from day 1, but it's good that they're finally adding this. Hopefully that's not the only buff he gets. He really needs the bag add-ons to be part of his base kit.
-
You do know it’s possible to win while injured? A lot of players gen rush while injured.
-
Looks interesting. Hopefully the chain is part of his power.
-
They should work together. It would be strong, but not OP and give Killers more perk combos to run.
-
Killer because queues aren't 3-5 minutes.
Also because I'd get to shock people with Lord Herman.
-
Not yet. Waiting until I get Corrupt on him. I also don't have the body just yet (only the head).
-
Why not? The more the merrier.
-
I'm not sure which reset I prefer yet. Something else just seemed to be the closest to an undecided option.
-
I use BBQ, PGTW, STBFL, and Dying Light with Mew's Guts and Rat Liver.
The first three perks are good and they synergize with his power. Dying Light is just a perk that I really like. I've been thinking about switching it for Corrupt Intervention to help me not lose three gens while setting up my portals, but I only have CI at tier 1 and I really like DL.
Mew's Guts gives you an extra portal and decreases your missed Shred cooldown by 0.25 seconds (it goes from 2.25 seconds to 2.00 seconds). This used to be its base cooldown but the devs raised it because apparently you could traverse the map faster by using Shred (not sure if you had to fully charge it or not).
Rat Liver makes you go 9% faster while charging up Shred (from 92% to 101%). It's a really big help because you are now faster than a Survivor while charging a Shred.
-
YES! He is awesome! Doctor has good map pressure, chase potential, and tracking. My preferred build is BBQ, Distressing, Unnerving Presence, and Overcharge with Iridescent King and Iridescent Queen. If you don't like the ridiculously short base shock range, then you can switch out Iridescent Queen for Moldy Electrode.
-
I think that people just have it drilled into their heads that Wraith is bad. It’ll probably take a big buff or rework to get people to accept him as being decent at least.
-
I think he should get a Doctor-like rework instead of just a straight up buff. Not sure what we could do to him though. I wouldn't mind a straight up buff though, I just really like what BHVR did with Doctor and I want to see that happen to more Killers.
-
What?! You're kidding me right? All Doctor does is make them appear in a random position. That's it. If the skill check is smaller, in reverse, or doesn't have a warning, then it's a perk or an add-on that you're having trouble with, not the Doctor himself. Hell, he even warns you when a Madness skill check is about to pop up.
-
I’d be down for giving more information to the Killer. It’d also make bringing a key a huge risk because you’re putting a big target on your back.
-
It looks like they might’ve been close to the Killer and either got scared when you were hooked or thought they were the hottest ######### around and didn’t need to rescue you, even though you did four gens.
-
I can easily see the match error thing and very, very short internet outages being a major problem.
-
Oh hell yes! I already collect action figures from other movies and video games and I would love to add DbD to the mix. A light-up, super articulated Hallowed Blight Doctor would be a must-buy for me.
-
No, because I like playing Killer more and their cosmetics aren't worth the $10 price tag. There's been like four cosmetics that were worth the $10 price (two of those were back when the store first released, one was a Hallowed Blight outfit that I managed to earn, and the other was Demogorgon's newest outfit).

What if... wait for it, you then move to the other side. Crazy I know.
And then they move to the other side. It’ll keep going on and on until the hooked Survivor dies.

actually you can mend in time, you just have to stop running so much and being so scared... as soon as youre free from chase snap out of it then mend, sure it can get close at times but thats a downside to people unsafe borrowed hooks... but most of the time and iv seen this as survivor or as doc people just keep running and running without actually paying attention and therefore waste time, too many red ranks survivors with little skill and knowledge yet again rip
Snap Out of It and Mending both take 12 seconds though. You’d probably have to get the timing down to like milliseconds in order to Snap Out of It and Mend, otherwise you'll go down.
-
This should've been implemented from Day 1. For some reason, the devs never thought about it and now we have to wait until their husk system gets implemented (you can hook and maybe slug DCed Survivors' bodies). I'd expect to see BBQ stack compensation around the end of 2020.
-
Doctor, Freddy, Demogorgon, and Plague.
I enjoy playing all of these Killers, but Doctor is my favorite out of them. He's very fun to play. Good map pressure and chase potential, great tracking, and he laughs his ass off every time he shocks someone.

Enjoy lobby simulator then.
That's an interesting claim when Killer queues take a few seconds and Survivor queues are the ones taking upwards of 10 minutes at least.
