It would be better if survivors simply would not play at all so BHVR is forced to make the game fair. This is the better advice than staying in an unwinnable match or a miserable one.
Playing the game and losing is of no interest. There is no motivation to improve the game as long as survivors play. This is why the survivor role is a gigantic mess.

You’d get better at the game Sluzzy if you bought a NHL game. I did, after I learned the rules and practiced, I suddenly became much better at DbD~
An asymmetrical game has nothing to do with a symmetrical game.
Being "1" shouldn't entitle you to an easy game.

Maps? xD Which ones? Every map released in the last 2 years is omega survivor side.
Let me remind you the maps -> Puzzle Rework (Surv side) Coldwind Rework (Omega Surv side) Crows Nest (Omega Surv Side) Haddonfun Rework ( Ridiculous Strong houses ) and Garden (Omega Surv side)
Yup Sluzzy, Killers are carried by maps xD Maps with 25 pallets and strong main buildings are designed for potato killers xD
Overpowered perks? - Let me remind you the ultimate potato build for survivors, full of second chance perks -> Dead hard + DS + UB + IW. Yup, but NOED is OP.
Survivor objective is harder to complete? Of course it is if survivors get matched with players like you, dropping every pallet without looping it at least one time xD
Yup, the game is designed for potato killers bruh, reason why they saw at stats that we wasnt killing enough since mmr xD
More killer propaganda.
Survivors use perks to protect against things they can't control, namely tunneling, slugging. These are not survivor failures. It is inevitable survivors go down fast. One very small perk that helps them dodge a hit, and it gets obliterated. Bloodlust is even being buffed for bad killers. Gen times increased for bad killers. More gen regression perks. Survivor gets nothing to help them against oppressive killers. Survivors are constantly nerfed and killers buffed where bad killers win against any kind of survivors.
The game gives you easy to see scratchmarks, and a plethora of aura perks and addons. Complaining about a sound reduction perk shows extreme entitlement.
It's not my fault I have to drop the pallet because you can swing through it after it is dropped.
Their stats are flawed and misinterpreted with extreme favoritism towards killer.

Really Sluzzy? xD
Dead Hard rewards failure giving you more chances to extend a chase and fixing your mistakes as survivor (Thanks god nerf is near)
Unbreakable rewards failure, you get downed and you can revive at zero cost with faster recovery speed.
DS rewards failure, you loose your chase FOR SECOND OR THIRD TIME and your reward is a free stun to the killer xD Pathetic perk.
Broken maps as Crows-Cowshed-Garden-Haddonfun-Puzzle, rewards failure, doesn´t matter how bad you are as survivor, that maps give you an excesive amount of resources (Pallets-Infinite loops on windows or strong structures) to fix your mistakes.
The entire actual survivor meta build is just a reward for being a potato player xD What the hell are you talking about complaining about noed, a Hex Totem that you can counter cleansing dull totems instead of genrushing? Learn to play man, for real. I told you a few days ago and I repeat.
I am not the best killer on DBD, I am really really far from the bests ones, and the 7 times we got matched, I destroyed you and your entire team with 2-3 gens left man, playing M1 killers on maps like Puzzle, killers are not the problem, your zero skill level is. Stop pre dropping every pallet avalible and condemning your team to death on the first 3 minutes, learn how to play instead of complain for everything. Nobody can take you serious if your level as survivor is the same as a 50 hours players
Not my fault the game is broken in your favor. Survivor skill is meaningless.
Bad killers are carried hard by sparse maps, overpowered perks, and a lack of defenses. The survivor objective is much harder to complete. The game is designed for potato killers to win with ease.
-
It still rewards failure. With the increase in gen times, it was indirectly buffed in a bad way. Campers can use Deadlock, No Way Out, NOED for guaranteed wins.

Killer is only more stressful if you want 4k. But in this case surv is stressful also if you want 4 escapes
This is often overlooked in the community at large. It is EZ to win as killer, but it is stressful if you demand a 4K every single match. You can play blindfolded and still get a 2K at least. With Iron Will being obliterated, this is even more true. All you need to do is close your eyes and have decent headphones. It is sad honestly.
The community never takes a step back and ask how hard it is is to get a 4E. In my eyes, it is almost like trying to win the lottery.
BHVR, though, is ruining their game and making it like deathgarden, a game that flopped hard.
I am done with survivor. I'm here to watch the few survivors left get paid a bloodpoint bonus to lose every game.

Yea, what does it indicate when they dc when they just got downed? You can't fix bad players.
I don't think players play to intentionally lose. They play for a chance to win. It's not the players being bad.
-
Once again, fix the root of the problem. Players not wanting to play indicates a massive underlying issue.
-
I think that data is bad. A couple of years ago it was released that the kill rates at red ranks was close to 75%, which I believe is still true. It has to be true because survivors have only been nerfed extremely hard in every patch. It wouldn't make sense to be the inverse. There is no way the killrates are dropping if survivors are only getting nerfed and killers getting buffed.
BHVR needs to play their game in actual public matches if they think the killrates are less than they would like.
-

🤔...
Yet the core data devs balance around shows that the underdog survivors are escaping far more than they'd like. This data is the route devs are clinging to (although I think the data vastly ignores most context of a match)
Survivors have all the tools to succeed, the skill to utilize them is a different matter.
I think the data is bad. Hackers are very prevalent.
Because 4 man SWF are the only ones at higher MMR is skewing the data as well. The devs have a lot of bad data and throwing darts at survivors.

Nope. But it is your fault when you're found first. Get downed pretty quickly, and yeet yourself out first hook. How do you think your partners feel about that ?
When survivors have to do that, it indicates there is a problem with the game.

To be fair. You're part of the problem. Everytime you ######### first hook, sluzzy. That also adds to the miserable solo que experience
It is not my fault killers are grossly overpowered. When a Blight has pounded 3 survivors and everyone is already been hooked twice with 4 or 5 gens still up there is no reason to struggle.
Solos can't win when the killer has a couple of working brain cells.

The only way to stop the complete massacre of the survivor role is for survivors to stop playing.

Sluzzy, blight is not stronger than nurse. Huntress and demogorgon and wraith and all the others you complain about (Sadako?) are not stronger than nurse. If you're truly committed to being a survivor advocate then you have to respect that your favourite toy going in the bin is very high up on the survivor wishlist.
Nurse requires a ton of practice to do well. The others are extremely strong with way less practice.
The only thing wrong with Nurse is when they made some adjustments to her recently they made her blink way faster. Survivors have a much harder time juking. They need to revert those fixes. Killer players gravitate to what is broken so that is indeed broken. Slow down those blink speeds and you'll immediately see all the amateur nurse mains slow down a little because they won't have an unfair advantage.
Just like when Blight had his exploit fixed, you see less Blights. Fix Nurse, it is all she needs.
You never saw a single Nurse complaint until they fixed her bugs recently. Pretty ironic. Exploits are bad.
Correction: The addons for distance increases the speed of her blink is what needs fixed!
-
@Swampoffering said:
People want to see Nurse nerfed because they can´t bully her like they do with the rest of killers.
Nurse shows what happens when survivors can´t abuse the huge and excesive amount of resources that they have every game on every map (Should I speak about Cowshed-Crows-Haddonfield-Puzzle or garden again?) and they just realize that they are just carried by resources and second chance perks, not by skill or improvement as players.
Nurse is fine, the only thing that must be nerfed is distance addons, next time you fight one, do not dc or suicide at hook, learn how to loop her, use blind spots on loops and do not just press Shift + W.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3054737#Comment_3054737
Sluzzy, even with 1 DS per hook you will die every game bro, I got matched a few times against you and your gameplay is going from one pallet to another dropping it without looping, maps like Puzzle are designed specially thinking on players like you, and even with that amount of resources, you still manage to die xD What do you want, fly? a rocket launcher?
Saying that survivors are weak shows your lack of skill and knowledge of this game, if you invested just 50% of time you spent crying at forums on learning how to play DBD, maybe you could hold a chase more than 20 seconds without wasting all the resources of your team, think about it. If I can destroy you and your team with wraith at puzzle, is not because wraith is overpowered, is because you and your team are 4 potatoes.
Learn to play, then complain.
It does not matter how good I am or any other survivor, survivor skill is completely and utterly meaningless. If you actually killed me, it is because the game is broken in favor of killer. I was not part of a 4 man sweat team to have a chance. All you or any killer has to do is tryhard a little and the survivors are dead. You probably tunneled since 90% of killers tunnel.
Killer is way easier so the game is in your favor, I already know how to play. Potato killers win when they use strong things so your point is out of line.

buff survivors how sluzzy
Mostly reverting decent things that have been removed. If killers have strong things survivors should to. Balancing around a top SWF has been bad.
Self-care is about to get a third nerf if I remember correctly. There is less than half the number of pallets on the map than used to be. Toolboxes are bad. Great skillchecks nerfed. Survivors have nothing to deal with strong killers.
Too many aura perks, no wonder Nurse is strong again.
-
When survivors are nerfed every patch and overall killers buffed every patch, all killers need nerfed. Why Nurse is a topic instead of Blight, which is tremendously easier to decimate teams is laughable.
The simple solution is to buff survivors so it doesn't take absolute pro team to have a slight chance to win and remove all the wallhacking perks and addons killers have and killers like Nurse wouldn't need nerfing.
Killers are a huge problem right now, not only nurse, because again survivors are insanely weak.

Idk about that one. He’s be f tier if his chainsaw only removed one healthstate and that’s not the way to go
Then ask yourself why all other killers don't have "free NOED" as basekit.
1-shot should require immense skill, not something as easy as a M1 attack.
-
Imagine the thought of Bubba getting buffed which is going to happen in the next patch.. With much longer gens, a facecamping Bubba will be an even stronger strat. A strat that is uncounterable.
As insanely weak as survivors are now, his 1-shot ability needs to be nerfed so it only removes one health state. It is not needed in the game now, especially around a hook.

Against a high mobility killer they'll be back before you can even move.

Sluzzy
They nerfed all the perks you've been complaining for years about
They nerfed Tinkerer
They nerfed Pain res, Pop, Ruin
Tinkerer still has two powerful abilities (two perks in one). Still notifies gen is almost done and hides terror radius. Spine Chill nerfed so not even spine chill can be used. A perk that is totally uncounterable.
Those nerfs are miniscule and hidden by massive killer buffs. All survivors got was a tiny 5 sec borrowed time. Now, killers can simply wait only 5 secs and tunnel.
Lord help regular public matches with 90 sec gens. They'll never be completed now.

Okay.. Maybe you should break up your issues with the game so they could be explained better and explored more.
They have indeed abandoned the game, milking it while they can before it dies, and applying grease at the squeaky wheels (crying killer mains).
BHVR is not even trying to improve the game. They don't even address issues. It will spiral downwards into more catering to more baby killers and only SWF able to play the game because killers are so overpowered.
Balance is an afterthought. It is becoming lame for sure.

100% agree, no amount of BPs are going to make me queue only to get facecamped. At first some people will actually be enticed but after noticing they are just punching bags for petty people to powertrip theyll notice its not worth it. If Killers are campy in their natural state imagine how bad they are going to behave once they are frustrated by long queues...
As I said in another thread, after the update hits Solo is going to feel like Berserk's fifth eclipse.
As solo, it is almost impossible to win under current DBD. I can't imagine how bad it will be with much longer gen times, more buffed gen regression, Thanatophobia, worse survivor perks.
-
@Tsulan said:
The upcoming changes in the PTB around bound to solve this by giving people a bloodpoint bonus for playing the role with the shorter queue.
So once that goes live, we probably won´t see this kind of thread anymore.
That is like putting lipstick on a pig. Paying survivors extra BP to play at a miserable disadvantage is not really good balancing. I still don't think survivors will play.
-
I was curious how long BHVR could get away with CONSTANTLY buffing one side and nerfing the other side. Everything "fun" being gutted. Survivor is not worth it anymore.
-
Survivor perks have been disabling for playing the game for years.
Concerning Ruin, this is nothing, if a survivor dies the killer has likely won anyway.

So, I can take it that all of the calls to nerf Nurse, the best killer in the game (and THE best beneficiary of the change to DS, a change I myself was not in favor of), is something you'd be in favor of, right? With things as bad as you claim, bringing the hammer onto the OP killer of all killers is something you'd go on record as being in favor of, correct?
I do believe Nurse has already been nerfed several times, way more than any other killer. The real issue is how all killers have been indirectly buffed where all it takes is a decent killer to level down every team. Nurse is only too strong because survivor objective is too difficult to complete against a high mobility killer with aura reading and slowdown. Blight and Huntress downs survivors extremely quickly too, a good one does with hardly any counterplay. Now with the gens having a big increase to 90 seconds (yes, 10 seconds for each gen is enormous) then where are the survivor buffs to compensate against less cooldowns against killers? Are the maps going to be increased with more pallets? Will survivors run a little faster?
With Iron Will being destroyed (exhaustion actually disabling the perk), then stealth was also nerfed.
-
For very good reasons they are not. Everything has been taken away from the survivor role, BHVR shows an extreme preference to the killer role with continuous and never-ending killer buffs. The survivor objective is going to become even less likely to be completed, buffing gen regression perks (Overcharge to unprecedented levels). It's too easy for killers to down survivors with no counterplay in majority of situations. Survivors constantly nerfed and poor killer gameplay heavily encouraged (ie. Bloodlust buffed).
Camping is also being buffed. The game feels extremely unfair when playing survivor and BHVR has done nothing to improve that, only make it worse.
-

It says exactly what the explanation on the announcement says... that kill rates were lower on average than they'd like them to be and they are making changes.
The amount of doom and gloom bias on these forums maybe its better if these people do just quit for a bit.
Not sure if that is believable. Solos hardly win, killers on twitch never lose, even survivors on there are not winning all that much.
Balancing for bad killers to usually win is not going to be good. There is no incentive for killers to improve because you don't have to, and there is no incentive for survivors because skill is meaningless.

Yes after years of catering to survs, somehow they now magically hate the base they cater to the most. Cool story bro.
They've been heavily nerfing survivors for 6 years. That is not catering to survivors, but catering to killers.

We've tested a whole bunch of durations for them leading up to this, and often times they felt too long to be in the base kit. 5 seconds may not sound like much, but it can be a game changer. As long as you can reach a pallet in that time, it accomplishes the same thing. Alternatively, another Survivor can use this time to get in position and take a hit for you.
Killers can count to 5 and still tunnel. Bubba will be even easier to camp and tunnel. Since you increased gen repair times, you buffed tunneling.
-
Agree. I am still trying to process the changes but it is a massive killer buff at all levels.
-
3 seconds is nothing for most killers. Very disappointed again with BHVR.
It will actually be more rewarding to tunnel than before with the longer gen repair times.

Only if the survivors are bad
Why shouldn't good survivors have a chance to win?
-
No killer is weak in the game. When they are played well, they win a majority of matches.
-
Not what I've seen. It's been impossible to open the gates almost ever during the event. Survivors are going down easily within 30 seconds of the match starting.
If you got genrushed you didn't defend gens or didn't find survivors.
-
It happens a lot with Blight, and Huntress too, very commonly.
The issue: survivors are extremely weak especially against those perks. Killers have too many tracking and slowdown perks and maps are very sparsely populated for these kinds of killers.
A high mobility killer is too oppressive with tracking and slowdown perks.
-
I agree. 6 years of constant survivor nerfs is why solo q is an impossible task. When survivors lose "survivors are just bad". It's never because of the killer.
You know something is off balance when you rarely win that solo q match and the tally screen shows a killer with level 1 perks.
Killers are so strong matchmaking is simply putting all survivors with any killer. Survivors can't get good enough to compete at a proper level.
-
Nurse in itself is fine, as she takes an insane amount of practice to deal with decent survivors.
The issue with Nurse is like most other oppressive killers. It is too easy to see survivors on the map. Stealth is non-existent and aura perks and gen perks are overwhelming. Give survivors ability to properly counter these and she'll seem fair.
