110ms makes this killer a slower version of Legion. His power is pure garbage with his tiny tiny hitboxes on dedicated servers.

Ok, then please point out where I have said that he is overpowered. NOT too strong for how low his skill floor is, NOT has too much going for his kit in one button press, but blatantly overpowered.
That's implying he is OP. If you want anything changed to him, it would be a nerf.
-
He needs to be 115ms and once again his addons are a joke. Not sure which add-ons are worse, his or demo.

I've always hated Hillbilly. People are just speaking out against him now.
Also, learn to use the phrase "entitlement" properly. Entitlement on here is the new Triggered. Overused and losing meaning.
You can hate him, but that doesn't make him OP.
-
6 months ago it was nurses add-ons. Not until now is Billy or his add-ons an issue. He has been exactly the same for 4 years. Survivor entitlement is growing exponentially.
-
Entitled survivors couldn't bully the original nurse, fact! That's a big no-no. The new iteration can be genrushed if you play by the game rules. She can be abused. We're talking DBD, a game the devs balance for brown rank survivors against red rank killers.
Instead of addressing why killers were forced to pick nurse when they saw legacy Jakes in the lobby, they were all told to go to hell while giving survivors a thumbs up.
-
Considering old nurse was the only killer that could handle top tier survivors and they nerfed her into the ground, I would say they have no intentions of having a competitive killer for high rank survivors, hence the long wait times for high rank survivors because nobody that has any sense would play a killer they know is impossible to win with.

It doesn't.
As it was mentioned in the thread by different people, NOED isn't rewarding poor gameplay from Killers:
- Killer has to play the trial with only 3 perks before the doors are activated.
- The perk can be fully deactivated by survivors
- If the killer has no luck in hooking many survivors before the doors are activated, then the survivors should have been able to cleanse totems without feeling pressure, thus, not giving the NOED edge to the killer. It's on them if it activates.
- If survivors allow the killer to get a 4K with NOED in the end game, I would argue that survivors made mistakes during their end game plays or didn't prepare for the potential NOED activation.
Finally, if you don't want to play NOED, it's your prerogative. In my opinion, building a build that is strong in end game isn't rewarding failure, it is using perks for their intended purposes. The purpose of NOED is to give a killer a burst of strength in end game. Since it's effectively strong, survivors have the power to deactivate it, if they focus secondary objectives.
The killer players choosing to play NOED are banking on a burst of strength at the end for the downside of playing with 3 perks the rest of the game and having a chance to have their perk deactivated. It's a high risk, high reward scenario.
Do bones.
I tried upvoting this 100 times but it only registered 1. Everyone should be required to read this before playing.
-
Myers without a doubt. His terror music is reminiscent of the Halloween movies, I just love it. Well done DLC. Unfortunately though, you can't play as him because half the time you can't stalk because of dedicated servers. Thanks BHVR! :/

The Mori.... it’s just sad dude. Why 3/4 of every killer I face have either Mori or are playing Michael Myers or Dr? 😂 I want to see more demogorgons. I just waited 5 hours to play a game and silent killers, static blasters or Mori is really a thing that often? Stooooop it. Where the variation. Ruin is still good especially with surveillance? Why even play 😂 survivor sided my ass. These killers and items devs give you guys suck the fun out of the game.
Rank up dude. Play killer against really good survivors, you haven't seen abuse yet. Wait until you face survivors that coordinate with borrowed time, DS, adrenaline, head on, etc... gen popping like popcorn.

Clown
-
Until the last 3 patches are reverted, I will always disobey the survivor rule book.
-
Hillbilly is NOT op.
-
The worst part about this thread: the devs don't care. Their tunnel vision right now is selling the next killer that survivors can loop to oblivion.
-
Add-ons should be good you know? But unfortunately by the time you do get unlimited EW3, the gens are already finished.
-
The unnecessary nurse and ruin nerfs. It's made red rank killer a miserable experience.
-
I hate Huntress, I don't try anymore. When they changed her lullaby to be no longer directional you never know where she is. It's impossible to counterplay her hatchets with the hitboxes being so huge and dedicated servers make it that much worse. They can put me on a hook already.
-
Hearing Clown laugh with his exhaustion add-on after David is obviously spamming E is priceless.

How much experienced players can counter a killer has never been a factor in balancing.
Hillbilly is from a different design era in the game and we will never see such a powerful killer released today because the devs have got better at identifying when a killer is too powerful.
This really explains why you hardly see new killers sticking around in high ranks. I think the devs need to go back to 2016 with how they designed killer powers, addons, etc.

I’ve played thousands of games. Most Hillbillys will always snowball hard, even if they aren’t even that good at the game. Unless you have 4 good survivors who know how to loop expect a mediocre Hillbilly player to wreck the team.
Meanwhile your average spirit or nurse tends to struggle and only gets kills with the classic camp, tunnel and NOED strategies. They resort to this because they struggle to use these killers.
Which goes back to the original point - Hillbilly is too strong for how easy he is to use.
What if I said survivor objective, all the pallets and loops is too powerful for how EZ they are?
There's a very bad balance problem if most Spirits and Nurses are having camp and tunnel to get kills. They require a lot more effort and determination when compared to survivors. Giving really good survivors 12 chances to live is not a walk in the park..
I said this after Nurse was nerfed: survivors can have a party on discord, laugh, little focus on the objective, whilst the Nurse is sweating and playing like navy seals with her cooldown and still lose. That's not even remotely fair.
Billy don't need to be touched, not even his addons. Keep him fun.
-
Well, the game legit crashed on me today and I was slapped with a ban. I was actually penalized for their own bugs. That ain't right!!

Omfg you are so full of it, you make baseless accusations because you are terrible at the game. You cry about billy because you can not loop. What is this garbage claim about average billy needs to meet good survivors? That is not true at all.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DggcHI1boFM
Here again just for you, the longest chase was 25seconds, these survivors were all potatoes and went down like flies because they are terrible at the game just like you. They almost won, while playing horribly bad and the only thing they are able to do is holding m1.
Otz is by far better than any of these players. So your whole bs claim that you need good survivors in order to win against billy is wrong. They are bad and almost won against a person that plays this game for a living. Stop with your lies, stop with your baseless accusations and asks people how to play instead of asking for balance changes.
Yes NOED on billy, give me a break and actually git gud you rank 15.
"those toolboxes are not brown" lol

No the hillbillys I'm referring to aren't that skilled. You don't need to be that good when you have an unlimited number of instadowns, minimal cooldown, and can cross the map in seconds. Hillbilly carries average players a long way.
You never see average players get carried that far with Spirit or Nurse.
How do you know they are average?
You want the same thing done to billy as was done to nurse don't you?

And this is why they're against it. They don't want their ez mode killer nerfed. You can tell they struggle by how they make out killer is "literally impossible" to win now that Ruin got nerfed.
Just slap on Hillbilly, instasaw and NOED and you're guaranteed to have good results no matter what.
But not because that Hillbilly is skilled. A pro in any sport will make the game look easy when viewed from the sidelines.
This mentality is why killers are being balanced around brown ranks. Nerfing viable killers, even their good addons, so they are incapable of dealing with genrush teams.

Ffs. You have Spirit and Nurse at least, and I am not calling for nerfs.
Learn to read.
You already got them nerfed. Nurse is in a wheelchair now.
Time to make Hillbilly unfun now while survivors have fun. Not exactly what the game needs, a game starving for killers at high ranks.
-
smh.
You know all killers are weak at high ranks when Hillbilly is the target for nerfs. What an embarrassing thread.
-
What is being celebrated? What stops me from killing myself on hook and screwing over the team? Jumping in a locker and making a cup of coffee when I see a sweat-lord? This improves NOTHING.
-
This made me laugh a lot more than it should.
-
And keep in mind they plan to look at Billy. *rolls eyes*
-
Pretty, but doesn't look like she is about to be put in a desolate area with 3 strangers and a savage killer.
-
Very occasionally. Her greatness is only a memory. Devs will never admit they were wrong in listening so they avoid the issue, push it under a rug, and hoping nurse mains would go away.
-
They are well hidden for questions like this.
-
Moris were already nerfed.
-
I'd love to see OP play Myers, Trapper, or any killer that has a slow startup time against a competent genrush team on comms. It would actually be satisfying to watch his lie be exposed.
-
It's a sad state of affairs when survivors have run out of ideas to nerf when actually wanting Hillbilly nerfed. A 100% loopable killer.
-
I've had a change of opinion. I think he is quite decent now, but not OP. The fact you are not required to use range addons allows you to play with different addons now which is very nice.
-
At least I can justify my camping. When 3 gens pop before I hook someone, I'm going to lean back in my chair and take it easy on myself. This killer is going to play stress free regardless.
-
BHVR has an excellent track record of ruining things they do well. Billy mains better have Civilization installed.

And? He earned the pop. He just hooked someone after a chase with two hits. I don't see the issue. He can't spam this ability either. It has a long cool down. This really does sound more and more like "I don't want to adapt, so I'd rather ask for a nerf instead".
It balanced, lol
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1010272#Comment_1010272
They already rock all those perks and use the commodious. None of which do anything against slugging in the long term. As for the commodious toolbox, those will likely get the insta-heal treatment soon. As they should.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1010273#Comment_1010273
It actually does. You said "if you're fully healed". Not being healed is a choice you as the survivor make. It's a risk you take. So, accept the risk, or don't complain about it. lol
Just because he hooked someone doesn't mean he deserves to like remove almost half the progress of a gen completely on the other side of the map. And why am I going to sleep without him touching me? His entire kit is overbearing and obnoxious.
BTW, the clock is always on the opposite of the map. Obnoxious!

He didn't stop a gen. You stopped working on it. A lot of the time if it was "90%" as you say, you can complete the gen before he even finishes the teleport.
If it was 89% he would teleport before you finished it, and it is completely on the other side of the map. PGTW and now it's about 50%.
-
@ReallyBigShoe said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1009915#Comment_1009915
Or, you just need to learn and adapt against him.
How is instantly teleporting across the entire map fair? Even billy takes longer to get there.
-
He was way overbuffed. Surely there is some nerfs coming his way.
-
Ask the devs why they hate red rank killers so much.
They are digging a big hole beside nurse to bury ruin.
-
NOED is perfectly fine.
DS needs only minor tweaks so the timer is slower (like the EGC) when being chased or when slugged. Tunneling killers abuse the very short timer.
-
What are your plans to fix matchmaking? Right now it is a cluster of a mess. I think your nerfs to your top skillful killers and now the most popular killer perk is about to be nerfed has caused a lot of chaos around the red ranks in particular. Also, are you still planning to add crossplay between PC and console gamers?
-
@gantes said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/991497#Comment_991497
No, that's what happens when matchmaking is horrible. There are still PLENTY of red rank killers because ranking up is still easy on both sides.
Stop putting everything in the "killers are bad waaaah" echo chamber we don't need this kind of unproductive take here
Well, matchmaking wasn't a problem until the nerf hammer went bat crazy.
-
Only survivors are supposed to have fun. The killer must be a toy for survivors, something they can put on a leash and control the entire match.
They couldn't control old Nurse, Spirit with Prayer beads, and Ruin was just not fun because they couldn't masturbate on a gen. They wanted it to be a late game perk so it won't get much benefit for killers. Much more fun for survivors.
-
@SupaSlay3r20 said:

I feel like the ruin nerf is going to drop a lot of killers out of red ranks and boost a lot of survivors into red ranks. If that does happen, then matchmaking will be screwed more than it already is.
I have no pity.
-
The only way I would be happy is if they delete the patch and start over on things that might actually make the game somewhat better instead of worse. Fixing the million bugs maybe? Buff unused perks instead of ruining good perks maybe? I don't think any killer here wants 3 gens to pop before the first survivor is hooked and that is what this patch encourages.
