Both perks are exactly the same, If you can be rewarded for completing your objective, why can't I be rewarded for failing to prevent you completing your objective? :^)
It's a perk ;)
Dead Hard also rewards survivors for mistakes in every trial. ;)
-
Wanna know what the counter is to NOED? Find the totem then save the guy on the hook. How is that soooo hard?
Wanna know something else? Adrenaline gives a free health state completely for free so NOED basically just nullifies it. Both perks are exactly the same.
Another counter to NOED? Don't get caught.
-
- Huntress - she's broken
- Freddy - he bores me to death, he's also too OP compared to the other killers
-
DS should counter a tunneling mori, stun the bastard for 10 seconds, and the Mori would be fine actually.

Okay how do survivors feel about a Nurse with thousands of hours? Shouldn't it be expected that players with higher skill will be the victor?
If the old nurse had thousands of hours, they were winning every game unless the four survivors also had thousands of hours and voice chat probably gave her a very hard time. I don't think the new nurse with thousands of hours can beat 4 survivors with thousands of hours. She has less map pressure than she had and a little too much counterplay for survivors that understand her.

I think you're totally overestimating the solo-swf gap. What huge advantage does swf offer that breaks the game and makes it impossible to balance around the entire survivor playerbase?
I'm not saying casual SWF breaks the game, only those that play together frequently, all 4 are awesome, all 4 have several hundreds if not thousands of hours, and coordinating on voice chat. Killers lose to this, feel powerless, and wants SWF removed.

So you're saying the unbeatable Tofu gets beat by swf sometimes so that means they're broken? Not really a strong argument, you don't mention any specific loss cases or his performance against solo survivors. Not to mention the most important aspect which is how much he loses to them.
Yes, Now that Nurse is nerfed, I'm saying a super strong SWF is totally broken. But I don't think survivors need nerfed any more. The upcoming patch might be too much. The bellyaching, for the most part, is killers wanting to win every game, even against really good SWF. The truth of the matter is I think solos are losing more than killers are winning.

I hate tofu lol. I rarely agree with his opinions. And theres no way a group of solos can be compared to swf on comms. Yeah anyone can run the killer if they know tiles and make predictions, but theres Norway solo survivors not on comms can be compared to swf on comms.
Your frustration is you feel powerless against a coordinated SWF. Unfortunately, survivors keep getting nerfed and right now against a decent killer, unless the 4 survivors are very very good and are genrushing they won't win. One weak link and they all lose, usually. Yet, its not really a team game. ESPECIALLY now that strong loops are being eliminated, I'm predicting casual solos will never win when they rank up. They will quit from frustration. I hope the devs are thinking carefully what they are doing. Tofu is right on most things, but I always disagreed with him on Nurse. Only old Nurse had the potential to beat a very strong SWF if that nurse was also very very very very good. Now she can't and no killer can. So now we have a game where a super strong SWF is impossible to beat, a good SWF is a touch challenge, and solos are hoping everyone plays perfectly and the killer makes a few mistakes. If Tofu loses to a SWF he just laughs it off and says they were good. He has how many hours? I'll leave the rest to you...

If the Killer has two Survivors hooked in the basement, why would they bother to leave? At most I would patrol the nearest generators, but I'm not going to willingly give up the momentum granted by having at least 75% of the survivors busy
There might be only one hooked. A killer waits for the save, rushes back in for the tunnel, he downs both but knowing DS deactivates on another hook, hooks the rescuer first and then happily rehooks his tunneled victim.

- 20/25/30 second timer
- timer pauses while in a chase
- timer ends when someone else is hooked or uses their DS as long as you are healthy or injured, the timer stays up if you are downed
- (Possibly, doesn't have to be a thing) The timer slows down to half speed while you are downed
That way DS does not expire while you are still being tunneled and does not activate when you are clearly not being tunneled.
Same here about hooking another surv. Pausing the timer is a fair buff but you know a crouched piggy would exploit the short timers, gotta stay at 60 or it would be worthless.
-
Absolutely not. Huntress has 5 quick chances to down someone with much larger and wonky hitboxes that is harder for survivor to counterplay. Deathslinger has 1 chance with much smaller hitboxes to only inflict damage, slow reload each time, survivor has already broke LOS and possibly half way across the map.

Why are you performing unsafe unhooks in the basement while the killer is nearby instead of waiting for them to move away?
As the person said above, some killers never leave the basement lol. Secondly, why should my perk be disabled because a solo teammate farmed me?

If anything my suggest change takes away power from actual tunnel and camping, I’m not kidding as killer the DS could be 3 minutes and I’d be fine as long as it deactivated on the next hook.
A camper would have to deal with it endgame, someone could literally drag themself out the door while the killer had to wait out DS
Two gets unhooked in the basement. You being a tunneling camper downs both and rehooks them. Just because you hooked the saver first, the other two have a dead worthless perk. Don't be sneaky.

Food for thought: If she was sooooooo good as streamers like to make her out to be, why does nobody play her? They avoid her like a plague because she is bad and a clunky mess due to the cooldown mechanic. And when they face the rare Nurse, it is always a "baby nurse". Streamers never liked the old nurse because a good one could stop them. No matter how good you got with other killers, the looping mechanics in the game allows survivors to be invincible.

Sorry, purposefully suiciding on hook and selfishly screwing over the rest of the players in the match then.
Saying there is no way to dodge a Huntress main is such a defeatist attitude, but I get why people act that way. It's so they dont need to improve and whine at the devs until they fix it for them.
I've played against Umbra and ScottJund. They are GREAT Huntresses, but I've never thought, "Waaaaah! This is too OP! There is nothing I can do." I have gone as far as, "Oh #########, this Huntress is nuts." and stepped up my game accordingly. Huntress has inherent weaknesses. Exploit them.
Not sure why I bother though. The devs have already proven with Nurse that they will cave to cryhards who refuse to improve.
They do create a bloody bloodbath with Huntress in almost every match. I just think she needs minor fixing and small nerfs, not a major Nurse-like nerf. Fixing hitboxes and reducing hatchets would be fair. You do realize a Huntress can carry up to 8 hatchets!? That's nutty. If you want 5 hatchets you should need to use the add-ons.

I don't DC but I do escape the tormenting experience as quickly as possible.

Literally this. I'll take needing to dodge 3 hatchets over Babushka any day of the week.
To bad the other three cryhards in the match tend not to agree.
There's no dodging against a true Huntress main. Hoping for a bad Huntress map shouldn't be counterplay in a video game. She needs her hitboxes fixed and possibly less hatchets.
-
I think all she needs is to be nerfed down to 3 hatchets at base and the hitboxes should be smaller and more accurate. This would make her a lot less oppressive to play against.
-
As a former nurse main, they made the game very unfun for me so I prefer playing survivor now. A lot less stressful.
-
Because every Freddy and their uncle Freddy uses pop. The teleport should have never been added to him, it sent him over the top and its really obnoxious. He doesn't have the best killrate for no reason, his kills are handed to him on a silver platter, about like Huntress with gigantic hitboxes and mediocre servers. These two killers need the big nerf hammers.
-
How can you ask for moris to be nerfed while complaining about four bunny fengs abusing you with flashlights?
Think McFly...
-
She was overnerfed. To get good, you'll have to marry her and live with her and devote your entire life. Is it worth it?
-
Maybe they had a bad match before it. 4 man SWF sweaty genrush all using unbreakable, borrowed time, DS, and flashlight saved even though they looked at a wall. Then the survivors tbagged and called him trash can.

Latency can never be 100% fixed. Hitboxes in dbd are actually completely correct and fine.
Not Huntress's hatchets. They are 100% not fine.

I never really thought about that. I always thought the grunts were to be used as a sort of fake out by tossing a bottle and not actually vaulting the window. That’s a cool find and I may use bamboozle on my Clown now.
He's a big fat man, he is supposed to grunt.
-
The achievement would be possible if the ultra rares didn't have unfair downsides. She has the worst ultra rares to make survivors happy. The 3 blink add-on doesn't even work. And if you spawn on an indoor map with the addon, you are an m1 killer! Sad for nurse.

@DisappointedUser said:
It’s not bait. Go look at killer stats and how often red rank killers win. It’s 75% of their games.
The real stat to see...how many matches do all 5 gens get completed? The devs won't say because it's probably 90% or higher. SWF is the best at getting all gens done and then dying trying to save their one friend because they feel invincible.

His add-ons are good, but they only give Clown what he should already have. Reloading takes too long in general and Thick Cork Stopper should be base. Starling Feather is also required because Clown for no reason slows himself when he throws a bottle. Flask of Bleach is another required add-on because his bottles never seem to slow the Survivors enough.
Clown is one of those Killers I feel like I need 4-5 add-on slots to make up for the lackluster power.
You get 1 or 2 of those addons for every bloodweb so you can basically use them every match. Flask of bleach, its very hard to loop him.
-
Use his addons, they're surprisingly good.

To be honest I like how the new changes are meant to make survivors scared of killer instead the other way around and now it does not seem annoying when the killer catches you since now it seems like a real horror movie. Survivors always cry if they get beaten to early or they think the killer tricked them. If a killer catches a survivor its either skill, luck, or survivor made a dumb choice. Survivors have many ways to torment a killer like flashlight, loops, pallets, and even just annoying them but since they can't know they are just going to complain.
To be fair, its near impossible to hide on most maps. With the sheer number of tracking perks, killers that have a little experience has a tendency to know where survivors are at all times.

So you DC/suicide on hook against huntress? Wow. Sad that you ruin the game for 4 people instead of just playing it out and moving on. You can absolutely counter it though. Its not hard to dodge axes. And when one hits that shouldnt, why let it bother you? It's not YOUR FAULT, and it's a game. ######### happens.
But what you CAN control is leaving the game over stupid reasons.
When 6 out of 10 matches are this killer, I'm tired of "playing it out". She's way more popular than she should be and it's because of the devs did a sloppy implementation with her.

It's not the killer that has broken hitboxes. It's that they use capsules for survivors and not actual hitboxes, AND that dedicated servers delay the survivor side visual.
Huntress hatchet hitboxes are okay, it's just their application that is lacking.
They desperately need to change it. I refuse to play against one until it's changed. You can't counterplay gigantic hitboxes with server delays.
-
Beautiful, now we see even more of this killer with broken hitboxes.
-
@aknitus said:
Y'know, as a killer myself, if you are having problems countering Dead Hard, then you are either a very bad killer or you have just given up. Dead Hard is just fine where it is now.
A nurse can't counter dead hard. A perk shouldn't be that powerful against certain killers.
-
The breakable walls on Rancid Abbatoir and McMillan has me tickled beyond pink OMG. I am beyond sick of those windows being abused over and over and over and over and over. Basically having to leave the survivor unless you wanted 1 kill.
Having said that, as someone who plays a lot of solo survivor, they better not make the maps too much smaller. I'm a little concerned but we'll just have to see tomorrow. I would argue only Purgation is the only one that needed to be slightly smaller. That is a HUGE guaranteed 4K for any killer that has a brain, and there's no quicker way to kill this game when survivors have all left because they can't win unless they team up on discord. I don't want to get all sweaty with 3 survivors just to have a chance at escaping. It's already hard enough to win playing solo as it is.
-
At least doctor doesn't have a hitbox the size of a planet. He has counterplay which is a good thing.
-
SWF=GodMode
-
And what would stop killers from standing outside the terror radius, wait for the unhook, then rush back in for the free tunnel?
-
Good survivors or not, old ruin slowed the game a little at the beginning. Now I can't play Trapper because 3 gens are done before I set 3 traps.
-
Only SWF is easy. If you win playing solo it's an accomplishment.
-
I have a much bigger problem with Huntresses hitboxes. If they nerfed her hitboxes so they are skillbased, made her lullaby directional sound like it used to be, you'll find versing IRI heads not so bad.
With 5 chances, a blind monkey can down a survivor with her gigantic hitboxes.
-
I would offer a napkin if I could.
-
Buff DS to prevent a tunneling mori. During the mori animation, succeeding a skillcheck will cancel the mori and stun the killer for 10 seconds. Solution solved. That'll put an end to tunneling moris.
-
I'm thankful for the extra bp.
-
Genrushing is not different than a slugging killer sweaty desperate for a 4k. Both is unfixable.
-
He's definitely not a viable killer. Play him but expect to lose if the survivors are even barely decent.
-
I wouldn't call killer hypocrites. Everything you mentioned is the only way killers can win, if they win at all. With no ruin, no more nurse with excellent gen pressure, you have to be a slugging billy with infectious freight to play at rank 1 unless you want to be noob stombed. Survivors are not on the same playing field as killer. Gens are entirely too fast, chases last waaaaaaay too long with loopers for the majority for the killers. Now we have a new slow killer with a Legion-like power.
The only way to win is to play like a fill-in-the-blank. Survivors, on the other hand, can relax and play with so much freedom especially in a SWF. "His harpoon got me, run over here and stop the chain" Killers are a complete joke.
-
Billy. He has an actual threatening power and unlike most other killers except for maybe Huntress, his addons are useful and not gimmicky.
-
Sorry, Nurse has the worst add-ons. Imagine if Huntress had an add-on that caused a survivor to scream if you missed. Imagine if she only had two hatchets but had an ultra rare that reduced it to one but was still the slowest killer in the game. Imagine.....if Huntress or Doctor had an add-on that if you land a successful hit, your power is disabled. Unable to shock, unable to throw hatchets.
-
Welcome to DBD with no ruin. As someone pointed out this was a killer sided map and he BARELY won. I can guarantee you that Tru tried a lot harder than those survivors. If they actually tried very hard, he would have still lost. If four survivors want to win, there's no stopping it regardless of the map.
BTW: Tru loses a lot of games, even with the strongest killers.
