    What relevancy does this have?

    BNPs were nerfed 2x

    DS Was Nerfed Multiple times

    Instas Were Nerfed 2x

SWF and keys have never been nerfed.

Just because one thing has been nerfed twice doesn't mean everything has to be nerfed twice.

no it wouldn’t. the killer would actually have to work for their mori, and find everybody.

just like survs have to WORK for hatch with a key.

    moris are CHEAP atm

In a coordinated effort, that work is unattainable. If you spend the entire match looking for the 4th person, what do you think the other 3 are doing?

Also, what is cheap is killing 3 with 5 gens still up and the hatch spawns under the feet of the 4th survivor that did nothing. Or if you close that hatch and they have a key to get out. As killer you were so good you killed 3 with 5 gens still up and the 4th escapes freely. The survivor did nothing towards their objective but they got a "free escape".

This is the only nerf to mori offerings that makes sense. Survivors have to do generators to get their hatch escapes, killers should have to hook everyone once to use their mori.

That would make the Mori useless. It would once again be completely abused by SWF which is why you want this, the fourth person could hide and do nothing while the other 3 do gens.

Another one approaches. I'll put it simply: 3 hits and you're out of the game. Sometimes less. Respecting moris is some made up action in the killer handbook you can't actually do in game. Want more, punk?

Allow me to read the survivor handbook: Killer hooks survivor. Killer leaves hook and stay away from hook. Never rehook the same survivor regardless of the circumstances. Only hook another survivor next. All survivors must be hooked 12 times. Do not slug. Do not use moris. Do not use OP addons or strong killers. Never slug 3rd person for the 4 kills.

Sorry punk, but you are not entitled to survive. The killer has his own rules. You are on his turf.

The hell mate? Keys are only really effective once the killer and survivors have done their job. Meanwhile with Moris just tunnel and get free kills, punishing survivors for saving like they're supposed to.

Incorrect. If a survivor went down twice, that's hardly a free kill but earned. Survivor failed miserably. He or she didn't respect the mori and allowed to be found and caught. Survivors aren't entitled to save.

  • I think survivors have forgotten the Mori has already been heavily nerfed. Originally you could Mori without hooking first. It's funny that now the top viable killers have been nerfed into the ground for the appeasement of survivors that the Mori is suddenly a problem. Could it be that there is no killers are a problem and the Mori is the only thing left? Or, is it because killers are using the Mori more often now in hopes for a fair match?

  • Whenever I play nurse I facecamp or hardcamp every survivor. She's so unfun with the cooldown. If nobody cares at BHVR for ruining her fun, then I certainly don't care.

  • Stats are misleading. Imagine how many survivors throw the game at the end. How many suicide because they hate killer x. Gens are done too fast. And finally a new killer that was viable and 'fun' was already ruined within a week. It's hardly killer biased, it's quite the opposite.

  • For the life of me I cannot believe that a blood thirsty demon in a fury can't turn fast enough towards his prey. Another killer to the entire roster for SWF to laugh at while he is genrushed and looped. I have no hope for your upcoming changes.

  • @Spooky13 said:

I have never seen a group of people so upset of a change. Relax guys, Oni is still perfectly viable, the flick wasn't even intended. Now you can play the killer how he was actually meant to be played.

No he's not. The quick turning at the end helped him counter loops a little bit. Now he's no longer viable. Another killer ruined.

  • Yes, she has way too much counterplay now because of her cooldown and now she reappears before she is even there so survivors can dodge if they have a brain. She can't keep up with a genrush team with everyone using dead hard and her addons are trash. Her Ultra Rares are trash. She's unfun. Put her on Lery's and she's paperweight. She's dead and in the graveyard.

  • What's new around here? Oh, nerfing a good killer. Killers need to go on an even bigger strike to send a bold message so this stuff will stop.

  • They haven't buffed killer! WTH is this post about? A red rank SWF is no fun for killer unless you were maybe nurse. They nerfed her and made her unfun. The devs are stubborn and have no sympathy for killer. Now you sleep in your bed for crying so much.

When 3 gens can pop before the 1st person is hooked, there is something wrong with the game. There is no fun at high ranks for killer. Period.

  • It was already nerfed tremendously. Buff the yellow one.

Yeah...a killer isnt supposed to be balanced around inexperienced players. So...why even type that.

This only applies to nurse. If we had balanced nurse in accordance to experienced optimal survivors we would still have the 2016 version of nurse.

Your reward for using a blink correctly is hitting/gaining an advantageous position vs the survivor. What more do you want than that?

Everything you're suggesting gives her silly mobility on top of her power that is already a trump card to literally every defence a survivor has.

Like I said in my previous post; due to how much potential her power has, she needs to have downtime in between her blinks, otherwise she's just always all over you as long as you're in 2 blink range (which is pretty far).

Nurse is a high risk, high reward killer. However, due to how large the reward is, she needs a large risk. There's no logical for her to have a crutch in the form of permanent 2 blinks in case she misses the first one.

Your reward for finally and successfully landing a hit is negated when the survivor presses E. The entire chase resets, you have entered your fatigue again with a super long and annoying 6 sec recharge. In the meantime, 3 survivors are humping a gen and the survivor that should have been down is half way across the map. Because they gained so much distance, they jump in a locker out of your sight and magically heal because of Inner Strength. After the nurse finally hits the survivor twice again, the nurse has lost because 3 gens are popping now and nobody hooked. With how optimal survivors can potentially play, nurse needs zero downtime.

  • Nope, worst mistake ever made to DBD. Best DBD killer ruined.

Descrimination means acknowledging the difference between two things. It's not inherently a bad thing. So yes, they are discriminating between the opinions of the minority and the majority, because it makes sense to place more weight on the latter than the former.

Both of you are forgetting a little detail in that the majority can't participate unless the minority shows up at the party. In the case of the nurse, there is a shortage in the upper ranks so discrimination is bad here. Voices have been silenced with no empathy.

The fact you're bringing race into a conversation that is clearly about numbers is really funny. Actually read what I posted, and you'll see we're actually talking about the numbers of players.

Purposely ignoring a small subset people and they are disadvantaged because of it is discrimination. Nurse and legion are black sheep.

  • @DeadByGayDwight said:

"I just think they should consider the minority"

You do know what the minority is...right? Like, the actual definition of "minority"? If the vast majority of players aren't having issues, why would they even consider the small group of people who are complaining about something? If they change it, they be upsetting the majority and catering to the minority, which is not something anyone should do in any business, especially video games. If it's not seen as a problem to the majority, then it won't get changed. That's how it works, sis.

That is very much like being racist. Imagine telling a black dude his opinions don't matter because all the whites have already voiced their opinion.

  • I wish the devs would simply realize that nurse and legion wants to enjoy the game too :(

These killers had knee-jerk nerfs and now their ears are stuffed full of goo. :(

  • Who thought a survivor can stop bleeding if they run? Change the name to Survive by Daylight

  • They killed off a viable killer and lightly nerfing a second killer for red ranks so the shortage is inevitable. I've taken a break until they fix the nurse.

  • I've pretty much retired as a nurse main. She's not fun and when I see survivors doing nothing but sprinting and unable to close the distance, then it's horrible balance. The icing on the cake: the devs don't care about nurse mains. They don't really care about high rank killer fun either.

  • If they ruin Spirit like they did Nurse, I'm done with rank 1 killer. I don't find the killer shack, the god buildings, and breaking 30+ pallets fun. Old nurse and Spirit has counterplay survivors refuse to use.

  • I only wish he could reset a trap without picking it up first. One animation.

  • Freddy shouldn't have an advantage over other killers, enough said. A cooldown for placing snares during a chase, a longer cooldown for gen teleport, and nerf his addons that slow down gens. Also, you shouldn't be put to sleep unless he hits you.

  • @SnakeSound222 said:

You gotta be kidding me. Freddy is a strong and balanced Killer with multiple counters. He doesn't need the nerfs (or "adaptations", as you call them) you're suggesting. They would kill him. Get out of rank 20 and get good.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/876420#Comment_876420

Or maybe, instead of nerfing Freddy to be like other Killers, we could GASP buff the other Killers!

About Forever Freddy, he relies on altruism. If you focus on gens and leave people on the hook as long as possible, he's easier to beat. We shouldn't nerf this aspect of him based on Survivors not wanting to adapt to it.

There is nothing to adapt to slowing down gens. He teleports to gens instantly with PGTW and maintains normal speed for unlimited snares. He milks on PGTW. I've never seen a freddy that didn't play the same, it is so boring. It's almost as bad as the old Legion that moonwalked.

  • He desperately needs a short cooldown on setting flares and pallets and perhaps a longer cooldown to teleport to gens. Why does Clown have a cooldown but Freddy does not? A forever freddy with PGTW is way too powerful, requires absolutely zero skill, and its why his killrate is unnecessarily high. You should need practice and skill to be good with a killer and Freddy doesn't require that.

This is another one of those echo chamber situations. Even R1 streamers that hated Nurse have admitted that Old nurse needed addons to constantly tear down optimal SWF groups. She was able to contend with them without addons when the SWFs weren’t playing optimally.

old Nurse didn’t need addons to be viable. She needed them to be overly viable. New Nurse, this pathetic bedsheet of a killer, needs addons to be viable at all. It’s ######### laughable that anyone wants to argue with R1 Nurse mains about whether or not she is still viable.

I agree. This is why the game is now the most imbalanced it has ever been from what he said. Survivors can team up on discord and there is nothing a killer can do to stop them. As a killer you basically have to enter a match hoping they aren't coordinated or not expert loopers. Nurse was the most balanced killer because she required skill and practice much like survivors and was able to deal with it with extra range or blinks. All other killers are limited. Nurse is now limited. With this, they should remove ranks completely because the devs clearly do no intend for the game to be competitive. There is no incentive to play killer when your fate is in survivors control.

  • The stats don't separate the good vs bad survivors. If we saw a stat of good survivors their survival rate might be as high as 90%.

Survivors are allowed to be invulnerable. The stats the devs are only interested in are specific killers and this why they'll never be a killer capable of stopping them.

  • The issue is not solely DS. The issue is high rank play. If you play by survivor rules, in which DS causes that, the killer will lose every game if the survivors are good. And SWF exploits borrowed time, DS, and all the second chance perks in such a way that it is impossible for a killer to win. The devs have created a living nightmare for killers. And nerfing the top viable killers is pretty much sealed the deal that survivors are the power role.

Keys and toolboxes should be nerfed/changed. Medkits and flashlights are fine.

Against the best survivors a huntress with no addons is in a lot of trouble.

Against the best survivors a nurse with no addons still had a very good chance to win. Now things are more balanced.

You, as a killer, have to use addons if you want to beat the best players. That is how the game is designed, and it works well as a system to keep things balanced. Every single killer can perform very well with no addons at every rank except against the best players. Needing addons to beat those best players is a good design choice. Nurse being able to bypass all that was not.

Don't even try to tell me an addonless huntress and an addonless nurse were even close to comparable before this nerf. No killer even got close to her power with no addons. Addonless nurse was at the top of the Tier list above every single killer using addons.

The double standards are real. I would say you are heavily biased, not someone who knows how the game is designed. A survivor, huntress, and nurse should all play by the same rules. Right now they are not. A huntress is viable without addons, nurse is not. She needs addons to soften her enormous nerf. A survivor can usually goof off, have a good time with their friends, a huntress can have 5 chances to down a survivor and what does a nurse have to do? She has to be a navy seals sharpshooter that makes absolutely no mistakes to potentially win. That's reasonable to only survivor mains and killer mains that don't like nurse. There's no tier list with nurse at the top, that's made by Mr. Doe and the community accepts it as the gospel.

Keys: Punish them for using a key, use franklins demise, use a mori, or make sure that survivor dies.

  • @Omans said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/870629#Comment_870629

Many survivor mains don't know what a balanced game looks like too. Their idea of what a balanced game should be is as important as the average nurse main's idea of balance (as in, not).

Yes, you are going to lose more games now than you did before. That's sort of the point....? She was overperforming because like you just said, she didn't need to use anything, and was still capable of winning. That's horrible balance.

If huntress was overperforming then perhaps those sorts of changes would be welcome. I'm only interested in playing a balanced game, not one where one side demolishes the other due to poor balance decisions, as it was when nurse was left unchecked.

Guess what else doesn't need to bring anything? Survivors and Huntresses. Neither is addon dependent.

  • @Omans said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/870279#Comment_870279

Honestly, if some nurse mains think the changes are bad, it shouldn't really matter? Harsh to say, I know, but in my experience nurse mains tend to have no concept of what a balanced game looks like. After constantly seeing those people say that basekit nurse was fine, it is pretty sweet knowing they were wrong.

The fun those nurse mains are now not having is being had by a much larger group of people AND many people who refused to play nurse because she was so overtuned, who are now playing her (like me). This whole situation is a net positive gain.

To those who aren't having fun: adapt or choose a different killer. Highly doubtful the devs will change anything when nurse is still top of the Tier lists.

I can't tell which end you are talking out of now. If you think survivors should know what a balanced game looks like then killers better all pack their bags and head out.

Nurse mains wasn't wrong I beg your pardon. The only people the devs didn't listen to or even care about are nurse mains. We are talking about people that played this game since 2016 if they are even still here, spit on. I am one of those people. One of those never used ruin and never tunneled off hook, but guess what? Nurse is now ruin dependent. She's also addon dependent. The cooldown has costed me the game so many times that I'm almost done with Nurse. The devs have made this killer worse than the rest because it is not worth your time invested into it. The stats don't lie, she's the weakest killer across the board and she is no longer a predominate killer in red ranks. On my server and playing some survivor every day at red ranks I've seen her only 2-3 times since the nerf. In every game she lost. But I tell you what I do see mostly and that is huntresses, ghostface, and spirits. The nurse is gone.

You are a huntress main so let me make it so you'll understand. Fix Huntress hitboxes like the devs did one time but 'reverted' it at the 'request' of Huntress mains. Yep, they listened to Huntress mains. Fix the damn hitboxes and don't listen to huntress mains. Give her an addon rework so she can't have extra hatchets, reduce her hatchets to 3 and add more cooldown between throws. Give her some addons for bonus points, and most importantly, give her an addon so she CANNOT THROW HATCHETS but move at normal speed, essentially becoming a m1 killer for 60 secs. Make her Ultra Rare give her 1 extra hatchet but they are much slower so the survivor doesn't feel threatened for you having an extra one. If you don't understand the frustration of nurses now, I can't help you.

  • @Omans

Was that the same korean streamer that used Omegablink every game? I went to his channel expecting slaughter every game, but I noticed some teams got down to 1 gen left and he had to camp and slug to win at the end, with Omegablink. Oopsie, for a killer with thousands of hours, I thought it was so ez he could down them all with 5 gens up. I see Huntress mains doing the same thing as he did with nurse.

  • @TheKingOfAll said:

People who are still crying about spirit are just the bad spirits. If you needed prayer beads to win, you were a bad spirit. If you needed to bump into survivors to find them, you were a bad spirit. If you relied on not having a window vault animation, you were a bad spirit. Same with the nurse. I do agree they went a little overboard by changing her base power, but her addon changes were fair. If you required 5 blinks, you were a bad nurse. If you required omega blink, you were a bad nurse.

Both the nurse and the spirit are still extremely strong, but with the new balance changes it becomes slightly more difficult to learn how to play as them. A larger penalty for missing your blink. Not being able to run into a survivor for a free hit while phasing. The removal of very broken addon combinations. None of these things effect really good nurses and spirits. All you have to do is play a little better, put in a little more effort, get a little more practice, and you will be absolutely fine.

Is it crying or just crying to have fun? What if prayer beads were fun for spirits? Is it against the law for killers to have fun? Why couldn't they make it ultra rare? I'm OK with the collision being gone but adding a vault animation means the killer shack just got a lot stronger for survivors, something that definitely didn't need to be. I'm not even a spirit main and I believe this is so.

So the nurse...nurses didn't rely on omegablink and 4+ blinks. Again, they were often used because they were fun. The issue is they didn't have enough downside which I admit. They should have simply changed the addons so the range had more downside (like it is now) and that the extra blinks causes much greater fatigue when 3 and 4 blinks were used. 4 blinks could have been twice as long as it was. Seriously, you would have been kicked in the rear end for missing. If you are a motion sickness baby, don't use them, simple as that. To even get 3 blinks now, you can't blink through objects, it's equivalent to a brown addon, it's a joke and it'll never be used. Somehow Huntress and Clown can have an insta-down but nurse gets garbage ultra rares, go figure. Now for the nerfed 2 blinks with a cooldown. Why is survivors allowed to make mistakes but if nurse misses a blink or two she's lost the entire game? Against a gen rush team, you basically have to nail every single blink, and with dead hard that's 3 perfect blinks every single time. It's not even possible.

Like survivors get nerfed for 3 years now? While Nurse got her first nerf?

*wait, there was one shortly after release. Her second nerf

Nurse has had 2 major nerfs. No other killer has been nerfed that hard.

Remember she had 3 standard blinks with normal movement speed when she came out.

She's been run over by a bus.

  • @Weederick said:

Because Freddy has a lower skillfloor and Nurse has a high skillfloor.

Same reason why survivors have a low 30% escape rate at r1, even though good survivors mop the floor with good killers. The average gamer is pretty bad, so even if a characters potential is very high, making them toptier, the average stats for them look worse than others. Same as in other videogames: Highskill characters suck statistically

I just want good survivors and good nurses to be treated the same. Adding the cool down mechanic is like forcing r1 survivors to have a cool down before working on another gen. I bet a good nurse couldn't beat 4 good survivors now. They can use the maximum of 2 blinks with standard distance plus the cool down to their advantage. BTW, they all have dead hard so that is 3 actual perfect blinks every time before they go on a hook. To have a perfect game, that must be done 3 times to each survivor...unless you camp them to death.

  • @Weederick said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/866961#Comment_866961

If i had to guess: Because nothing is wrong with her. Its the same 5 players making 90% of the nurse posts. The good nurses still 4k with her. Most streamers say she is still the strongest killer. If she was released today, she would be called op. Just because they dont have fun, doesnt mean we should buff the strongest killer. That nerf was waaaay overdue and they kept her core gameplay and muscle memory.

Pardon me. If she was the strongest killer then why is Freddy on top of the stats?

    Streamers are survivor mains.

  • So... Spirit has a lesser killrate than Freddy. Nurse is now the weakest killer.

Isn't it ironic they nerfed the only 2 killers that deal with pallet looping at the highest level of play?

No need to argue with the devs because they'll say "stats don't mean everything" while in the meantime they take advice from the survivor mains because that is their research that somehow invalidates their own stats.

  • I don't think they are broken.

    Mori's: don't get caught

Keys: use franklin's demise and/or mori the guy with a key

  • @Omans

A huntress main. I'm glad you have enjoyed a killer that has never been touched. A killer with the most broken, most unfair hitboxes in the game. Hitboxes the size of a semi-truck. There's a reason why so many huntresses throw hatchets in the "general area of the survivor" because they know it might actually hit. A killer that can have up to 8 chances to down survivors, can utlitize instant-throw hatchets, and even an addon to Insta-Down a survivor. How does those addons compare to old nurse and new nurse? Hmmm, no comparison. Now, Nurse can have up to 3 chances but guess what? She can't even use that power properly, it's actually useless because you can't blink through even simple objects such as a barrel. You might want to sit down regarding nurse being so easy and unfair. She's the most mistreated killer in the game, with two major nerfs now and I still hear people saying she's the best. *rolls eyes* If you ever see a toxic camping nurse, don't wonder why.

There is no killer that can beat good survivors now and that is actually startling to me in a multiplayer game. Old nurse was the only one that could beat good survivors. DBD is like the Titantic, and the survivors like you and devs are going to cause it to sink.

  • Just be patient....3 years later they'll do the 3rd major nerf and make her have only 1 blink.

  • How about yes. Being slugged until the timer expires is still tunneling.

  • The 60 sec timer should pause when slugged

  • Not knowing whether the spirit is trying to phase or not is part of her mindgame and adds a thrilling experience to the horror game.

  • Nurse mains asked the devs to not touch the basekit but all we got was a middle finger.

I can still do decent most matches but I feel like I need a stiff drink when the match is over. The cooldown might be important for some killers, didn't mean nurse needed one too.

1 … 50 51 52 53 54 … 57
