why killer keep forget they got a basekit buffs to Killers
but it just deadhard this deadhard that some people didn't use the dam perk.
Just look at these numbers:
0.3 hit cooldown reduction
0.2 speed boost reduction
0.26 pallet break reduction
2.5 gen kick regression
0.2 gen kick speed reduction
Wow so broken.

So overpowered

I will never understand why people try to defend this playstyle.
It is sad that BHVR has been so slow to address such a massive problem in the game's dynamic, and I can only imagine it is because there are enough people on these forums and on social media preaching "it's necessary" and "it belongs in the game" for the devs to think posts like these are a vocal minority.
Or they don't know the best way to fix it without breaking the game

Why is it so difficult for you to imagine Solo Q players are a varied bunch, and some of us (me included) never used Dead hard? Whenever I watched sweaty streamers who eat, sleep and breathe DBD, I know DH was always used. There's no question it was the top perk at high MMR. But there's a huge crop of casual Solo Q players that have always used different perks.
My old build was Borrowed Time, Decisive, Lithe and the fourth would be old Botany Knowledge, Inner Strength or Q&Q. The first two obviously as necessary anti-camp/anti-tunnel.
Most Solo Q players are not high MMR. The majority of players on all sides are in that huge middle zone between low and high.
Because everyone keeps saying they never used DH and it's funny as hell
-
@Marigoria said:
Dead Hard this and Dead Hard that... what about the ones of us who didn't use Dead Hard?
I was already using the same build I'm using now (Just changed inner strength for prove thyself), so what was carrying me to a MMR where I did not belong? Kindred? Bond? Lithe? My build was not nerfed in any way.
It's not about Dead Hard. It's about increased gen times (80 to 90) and killers still stacking slowdowns, plus chases being nerfed (breaking pallets faster, 2 stacks of STBL basekit, survivors speed boost after hit reduced, bloodlust 2 and 3 buffed.
All those things by themselves don't seem like a lot, but them changing all of that at the same time in a single update, it does stack and made things worse.
Solo Q was in a already not great spot, and now it's even worse.
Yes yes, none of the survivors on this forum ever used DH, we know.
-
Thana is still a gimmicky perk only useful on certain killers, and those killers were using it before the patch anyway. The 2% buff was not really necessary maybe.

2 stacks of STBL basekit made it easier to facecamp since it's easier to get grabs now. Plus the 5 second BT basekit that doesn't even give you time to get out of the basement stairs and in a lot of times reach a loop + speed boost from hit being reduced + DS nerfed.
It's just way easier now.
Without BBQ stacks the only incentive to not camp is kindness. Chases are stressful and difficult, camping is easy and relaxing.
Borrowed Time got buffed but no one uses it, the only nerf is the DS stun time. They can revert the DS nerf, who cares. It won't stop the camping. There needs to be harsher penalties or more incentives, remember BBQ was a bandaid fix.
-
Instead of making BBQ stacks basekit they removed it entirely, there's zero incentive for a killer to not camp.
10 extra seconds on generators and 2 stacks of STBFL didn't suddenly make multiple chases viable.
They could try something more harsh to prevent camping but I don't know how many killers will tolerate it, although some survivors would say good riddance probably.
-
It's too bad the patch didn't happen during the anniversary event since we've seen how fast the gens are when survivors try to win and currently they aren't trying
-
The biggest skill issue currently are all the DH users getting filtered down to their true mmr

So you're okay with reverting them, then? I mean if they're useless...
Yeah the buffs are so minor it doesn't help anyway, as long as they keep all the perk nerfs like DH/DS/endgame/selfcare etc.
Should have nerfed all the meta perks even harder

Remove egc. When 5 gens are done everyone escapes
Sure why not, 90% of the time endgame is a loss for the killer anyway and survivors love to sit around at the gates wasting even more time.
-
Remove the hatch, problem solved.

Why ? they keep either the chase buffs or longer gens it's not hard, I win most of my games with no slowdowns or just deadlock
What do you mean why? It's like everyone forgot what was happening during the anniversary event and the last 6 months
-
@rvzrvzrvz said:
It's not dead unless they leave it like that for months, it's fine if they revert either generators to 80s or the speed boost/attack cooldown/bloodlust buffs, one of these is ok both are too much, and revert DS too
They'd have to revert any gen regression nerfs then
-
I'd probably get in a physical altercation with most of them because they look like annoying hipsters
-
Jeez I hope not otherwise everything they did was pointless
-
The only time I would ever play Hag is if I was going full basement camper build
Just ignore people who say killer is an auto win against solos

The survivor tantrum is such a disgrace. Small killer buffs did not do anything bad to the game. Survivors suiciding on hook every. single. game. because they're wah wah that they don't get their bottle for free anymore. It's pathetic and embarrassing that the community is so quick to take their ball and go home when they face the slightest bit of a challenge.
I've played survivor more than killer this patch, and have never, EVER seen so many survivors intentionally tank games before. They have zero tolerance. The first whiff they get of a potential loss, they just insta die and go next. They should be forced to spectate until the match is over.
They learned to weaponize DC/Suicides after the original Legion release and have used it to get what they want ever since
-
Delete Eruption then no one cares about these trash perks
-
All the survivors on this forum never used DH anyway right
-
@HectorBrando said:
Actually a lot of streamers have to play Survivor now because Killer queues are so long they cant afford to wait 5-7 minutes for the queue, 1 minute for ready ups, 30 seconds of offering burning screen and then 1 minute loading to play a match where 50% of times someone will DC or suicide on first hook.
Viewers looking at 7-9 minutes of nothing only to watch a pointless mach half of the time is not viable for anyone except already established big name streamers.
That being said, I know some are not having much fun having to play Solo because they cant afford to lose viewers, I remember some days ago this one person looking exhasperated while playing Solo but there was no choice, it was that or 9 minutes queues.
This always happens when killer queues get long, that's why a lot of streamers defended the status quo despite everyone being miserable. All they care about is faster queues, if all the the killers who quit started playing again queue times would go up.
-
DH was killing the game almost by itself

Killers didn't "calm down" every time survivors got something useful. Circle of Healing suffered 3 knee-jerk reactions by the devs due to killers moaning and crying. When killers can't 4K with ease, is the reason survivor state is at the worst.
Concerning the patch, this is definitely the worst state of the game. And BHVR is silent because killers are all happy.
The game is so unbalanced right now, it is a miracle any survivor is playing.
It's not like playing Street Fighter or something you can still eat nachos and chill
-
"killers literally bring all gen slowdown like they need it when they dont."
Where do you get the idea that killers don't need slowdowns anymore...

Maybe the DH nerf needs to be reverted if it's causing this many issues. Mass DCs and Suiciding-on-hook, does not make a good game. No one's enjoying this. Killers queue times are massive, killers get into a game and the first person they hook suicides which invalidates the entire match. I mean, this game is pure crap right now. No one is having fun.
There's no issue with the DH nerf, all the people who started playing during the Resident Evil chapter don't know how DBD used to be before DH became a free win.
I don't care if they revert every single other change, it's mostly pointless anyway. The DH nerf is the only one that matters, endgame nerfs are pretty good too.

Thana legion before the patch was a mild annoyance compared to the ones I've been facing post-patch with slowdows STACKED onto each other. Yeah, that was totally not the dev's intention to "shake up the meta" so killers wouldn't need to bring 4 slowdowns but here we are seeing it being used and abused ^^
Legion could already do this pre-patch. (he was still trash btw) What is your suggestion? revert the extra 10 seconds on generators, or revert the 2% thana buff?
-
I can't believe people thought adding 10 measly seconds to the generators would somehow convince killers to stop running slowdowns.
Then again these are the same people who thought DBD was fair and balanced with old DH.
-
Dear Blight and Nurse mains: Go as hard as you can, so you can be balanced accordingly.
-
Survivors can't loop purely because of the DH nerf, it was used by all 4 players almost every game, lots of them got carried hard by it. Now they have to learn to play since they don't get a free reset/distance 3x per person.
DS nerf + BBQ stack removal increased camping and tunnelling.
-
Well a lot of survivors have to come to the realisation that they lost many chases previously but the reason they extended them for so long was because they pressed E
-
Why is it a problem if killers have a longer queue anyway, isn't that the ideal scenario? It means there are a healthy amount of killers to use for matchmaking. It's bad when the majority (survivors) have to wait longer in queue because there aren't enough killers.
Streamers have a biased interest in keeping their queue times low, but survivor queues should be faster than the killer's. The only reason to be alarmed is if the survivor numbers are dropping.

You'll get over using DH as argument eventually.
Remember when all the survivors were trying to convince everyone that killers would be complaining about Sprint Burst and Overcome if DH got nerfed?
Where are the pages and pages of Sprint Burst nerf threads? what happened, is it a skill issue?
-
You'll get used to not having DH eventually
-
You were always screwed if a Nurse decided to tunnel what difference did the patch really make?
-
I bet you hid for the full slug and pissed both players off

Even over the past week or so since the patch it's been dropping daily. There are three main peaks in player count every day, I'm assuming oceanic, EU, and NA each spike the count at their respective peak times.
Last Wednesday was the biggest day since the patch for each of these, the highest was the first peak at a little over 55k. That same time period yesterday was 43k. Every region seems to be dropping daily since the patch launched, and each one is about 12k fewer players than a week ago.
It's the game dead? Nah. But I think enough players are taking a healthy break to notice in the metrics, myself included. And I recommend a break as being healthier than taking out frustrations on other players, regardless of which role you queue into.
Player numbers were decreasing until the anniversary event which boosted the numbers, things are just going back to normal.

All the people saying "needed crutch perks to survive" are so full of it. Ever since the nerf to DH was announced I haven't been running a single perk that got affected by the update (swapped DH for lithe). Then all of a sudden after the update the games are a lot worse hmm I wonder what could have happened. Oh yeah and is there a perk that takes 10 seconds off of gens or stops killers from tunneling everyone? Don't think so.
Your teammates lost their Dead Hard crutch

Endgame actually has some risk for survivors now instead of being completely safe, that's all.

My dude im memeing around with a make your choice, insidious nurse build. A bit to lower my mmr a bit because i dont wanna play seriously and the 3 games i tried with that build have been 4k/4k/3k
I'm running Make Your Choice/Insidious/Floods/Lethal .
None of them were throwing either. Granted its probably harder on m1 killers but why play m1 killers in dbd.
Nurse.

It's almost like nothing will ever prevent camping and tunneling. Who could've possibly seen this outcome? Also, when someone right under the main post says something like "SWF is only 5% of the population" that should tell you how uninformed and ignorant some people posting here are. That's just plain wrong :)
You can make it better, you can try to prevent it with perks or encouragement towards not, but people who want to do it will always do it, and this games design will never be able to stop it. It is and always will be part of the game, and that is bad for even killer mains because people who, ahem, "play fair" would just be punished by many restrictions and buffs to prevent it.
They could easily fix tunnelling and camping, but kill rates would plummet and every killer would quit.

They really are not. Except against really good swfs. And why would you plan against really good swfs, they are a 1 in 10 at most thing.
I wanted them to nerf slowdown perks into the ground, but they're too scared to do it. Some got nerfed but others were buffed, how is that a meta shake up?
Boring.
They are 100% mandatory. Disable them all for a month and you'll see how bad it is.
-
I thought there was gonna be a meta shake up?
Slowdown perks are still mandatory, they just changed which ones people use, meh.

Alright we’ll just pretend 10 extra second gens, pallet and gen kicking, insane killer perk buffs and attack cooldown buffs did nothing. Name one thing other than a useless 5 second endurance and Off The Record that really benefited survivors this patch.
Survivors didn't need buffs, although BT was buffed anyway.
10 extra seconds for generators doesn't matter when slowdown builds are still mandatory.
Pallet break speed, 2.5 Gen kick, and the attack cool down "buffs" are so minor they could revert the changes tomorrow and no one would care, it does nothing. Nice placebo to get killers to shut up I guess.
-
@GannTM said:
They buffed so many basekit mechanics killers have and what did survivors get? A 5 second BT. It’s insulting how much they catered to just killers this patch, and it hurt solo queue big time, yet you’re still acting like the game is purely survivor sided.
DH nerf was the only change that helped killers at all, the basekit "buffs" are useless.
-
I was hoping they would gut all gen regression perks, but 10 extra seconds on each gen by itself is nothing, it looks like slowdown will still be mandatory which doesn't seem like much of a meta shakeup to me.
-
I want to join the Nurse hate club but anytime someone says all killers are viable I puke in my mouth a little

They'll always be frustrating due to the randomness and survivors having control over it
I wouldn't care if they were deleted

Just use OP medkits and stop crying about Self-Care
