I love Lery's concept and it's honestly one of the most well designed indoor maps. Sure, it sucks when you're a mobility killer like Billy or if you're playing huntress. However, it's fine for all of the other killers. Now if you complained about Hawkins or Midwich, you would have a point.

I decided to camp on the boat for like 20 seconds for the following reason:
There were 2 survivors at the boat hiding and waiting for me to go away from the gen so they can finish it. By staying up there I was just wasting booth of these survivors time. I could've also searched for them and I usually would've done it but I could just keep an eye on the survivor and get a free down as soon as someone unhooks which I also got.
Ye pop would've been helpful on that gen. I usually only run 2 perks on nurse because in over 90% of my games I don't need mroe than 2 perks. Shadowborn and Deerstalker are just two flex perks, Shadowborn just feels good and Deerstalker to end endgames faster. It also allows me to slug more if needed because I know where everyone is.
When I could've countered DH I would've done it. About middle of the game I realized that almost all of them had DH excluding the claudette. And when I had the chance to counter DH I did. The problem is just if the survivor is not really close to you than you cant really counter it. you have to blink exactly on top of the survivor with your first blink. Even if he is only 10 meters away from you thats already enough because by me blinking exactly on top of them they can just easily doubleback and I will need my second blink to get to them. And if I get to them they will DH. In situations like at the shack I could counter it.
I never said that I am the best nurse out there, but I said I am one of the best ones. There are not many strong nurse's left and I also cant think of many better nurse's at the moment. But yes of course there are better nurse's out there, but I mean even a really strong nurse with omega blink that cant beat survivors just because of meta perks would already be enough to say that its not really balanced.
By camping the gen, you're at a stalemate with 3 survivors while allowing the fourth to progress the game by doing gens. However on your end, you are not progressing the game by hooking other survivors. I know this seems incredibly nitpicky but it is free criticism.
You said that you don't lose games very often and had you used stronger perks, you could've pulled off a few more kills with more gen slowdown. In in this case, if you played as well as these survivors and made the same amount of mistakes, you lost because you decided to use flex perks. Therefore, I'm not sure where you're trying to go with this post.
-
Experience equates to knowledge. It doesn't always equate to the highest level of skill. I'm sorry but you're not one of the best nurses that I've seen in the game. You decided to camp the gen and boat instead of moving on to find the next survivor.
If you ran Pop instead of deerstalker, you could've kicked the gen and moved on to another chase instead of wasting time. You had two good slugs that you allowed to be picked and lost all of your pressure while wasting time on another injured survivor. Those are critical mistakes.
You also had chances to blink on top of survivors to bait out dead hard so that you can hit them with your second hit but you didn't. In addition to that, you mistimed your blinks, overblinked/underblinked.
I'm not saying you're a bad nurse at all. You played her really well. You play like a seasoned killer but there are better and I've seen better. A single survivor's mistake equates to 25% of the team. If you make a mistake, you make a mistake for 100% of your team (YOU). Killer is the harder role and you have to own up to the fact that you did not play well enough to take down that whole team.
-
This will just make the genrush build more degenerate. However, using it for medkits and flashlights will be exciting.
-
Corrupt Intervention isn't a slowdown perk. It's a map control perk. It basically makes the map smaller, allowing you to patrol less, saving you time. It's more of a perk in line with Save the best for Last.
I think you would have a better argument if you said sloppy/thana/pop/dying light with forever Freddy/Legion. In that case, yes, the synergy b/t all those perks should die in a fire.

I think the viewpoint is supposed to be intentionally lower. He's hunched over, so having a lower viewpoint makes sense. Its too low for my liking, but I get the idea they're going for
If this is the case, then they really need to raise his fov. As you can see in the pics, you can barely see the survivors and what they're doing in the Badham shacks. It's also difficult to see scratch marks in the new grass. RIP colorblind players.
-
I do it all the time. I typically play nice and not camp/tunnel all game but when all gens are popped, I use w/e method to win.

Nobody told anyone how to counter him, he has no counter with Evil Within 3 PWYF. Why are you lying and pretending someone did say it? So he's still OP.
Let's think logically, if NONE of the players are stupid and do what they're supposed to do, Michael can still scoop up kills quite undeservedly.
In the past few years that I've gone against Myers in the higher red ranks, noone has really used PWYF. I personally don't use PWYF when I play him. There are better perks to use on him unless you're specifically trying to use Tombstone. I've also personally curbstomped 99% of the Myers I've come across so unless you're really new at the game, he really shouldn't be a problem. He has 0 antiloop potential.
-
This challenge took me 4 matches which is a little over an hour.
-
Imagine playing with a potato pc that can only run the game at 15-20 fps. That's what a Nintendo Switch is. That's also a good chunk of the DBD playerbase. PC players who can run the game at 120 fps always had an advantage over potato pc players.
-
You're asking for the raw skill counterplay to an m1 killer with no antiloop. The counterplay is basic looping. There is literally nothing complicated about that.

Who wants the hassle anymore? Swf, broken sounds, fast gens, small PP build on every other survivor, etc etc.... until swf is addressed why not afk on a gen lol.
Because unless you're swfing or streaming, solo survivor is boring as hell. Having to juggle multiple tasks with different powers is much more fun and challenging despite all the bs.
-
It's time to be killer mains. There's way too many survivors playing right now.

The one problem i have is the optimization difference between console and pc players.
Optimization sucks on pc as well. It's just that if you're playing with a $1500+ rig, you can make it up by having a stronger cpu and gpu.
-
Instant killer ques whenever. I dig this new crossplay.
-
Sorry bud, but the mmr system was busted as hell. Also, it also causes longass ques once u your mmr reaches a certain point.
-
Good huntresses, billy, nurse, and spirits are rare as hell on pc. You'll be lucky (or unlucky) to come across them.
-
Ah yes, the spirit gets to see a survivor's scratch marks and have an auditory cue of where they are while survivors have to make an educated guess blindly. Completely fair and balanced as all things should be.
In all seriousness, most players said that Billy was the most balanced killer and look at what they did to my boi. He's still fine but his addons have been "balanced". You can expect a similar result for this "most balanced killer" because the majority consensus for guessing blindly is that it's unfun.
-
Surge shouldn't have a cd and should proc on ALL downs. If so, it could join the meta.
@Dead_by_Gadfly said:
I agree its silly for it to have a cool down. Same with Thrilling Tremors
I disagree with this. I thought of this but you can definitely abuse the mechanic by keeping one person slugged and just picking them up/dropping them to proc TT.

Noed is a win more perk for good killers and it's used as a crutch for bad players. It really doesn't need a nerf. It's just a badly designed perk that's outdated along with so many things in the game. It relies on the survivors being bad which is just like the old ruin and it's a bad perk against competent teams/swf's anyways.
It can be argued that noed was needed when semi-infinites, op toolboxes, strong maps, and instaheals were still a thing. Those things have ceased to exist and it's better to use perks that prevents survivors from getting to endgame.
-
Honestly, Noed+Mori would be the killer smol pp build. Tunneling/camping = smol pp play style. Midwich/OoO smol pp ######### thing to do.
-
A better effect would be to increase Billy's movement speed by 0.2m/s for 30 seconds after taking a stun.
-
Uh.... I'd take LT walls over Long wall jungle gyms any day.
-
I feel so bad for playing against yellow/brown ranks. Never have I ever felt so guilty playing any game.
-
Well I wouldn't even call that bm at that point. Bm is more like flashlight clicking and teabagging. That's just straight up verbal abuse/harassment and supposedly it's bannable.
-
He's kind of like a pyramid head. Strong in chases but terrible map pressure. He can be genrushed.

I don't know who either of them are and don't really care. Most games end in minutes regardless of add ons. Yeah, they're strong. That's the point of iri add ons. People are complaining about something and offer no solution to it.
There have been plenty of solutions and complaints about these addons. There's even a thread in which a dev asked for ideas on how to balance it and people gave plenty of suggestions. The large consensus for iri head is that it's gamebreakingly strong. No iri addon really compares to it. It's an addon that requires very little skill to win and that's not very fun and interactive to play against as survivor.
Also, most games don't end in 2-3 minutes unless you're doing literally nothing as killer or running iri head. Don't give me that bs.
-
@MercySparda said:
Everyone keeps complaining about Iri heads but honestly it's no different than any other one hit killer. What next? Remove tombstone, too op? She gets mad of 3 hatchets and unless you're clumped together and the huntress has perfect aim, the danger is far less than a bubba or Billy. Yeah she can throw across the map but we all know that takes extreme skill and or luck. Iri heads are honestly fine and I don't trust BHVR to give her a relevant add on of iridescent quality that isn't a complete nerf.
Have you seen Zubat or Umbra play with iri heads? They end games in minutes. If you don't think the most busted addons in this game is gamebreaking, then you really haven't played this game much or your vision on balance is extremely skewed. The best huntresses play without addons because her basekit is honestly strong enough to do that well.

@potatogamer its the devs that need to fix it. Killers want to kill and their job is not to follow an honor code.
@Samwise444 kyea but what about fun. Losing for being downed only once sucks. And before you get out wataboutism arguments, know that just because killers have to deal with crap that should be fixed does not mean that survivors do not have crap that should be fixed.
@Zaonhort same reply like I replied to Sam if you are saying it should stay like that?
@LetsPlayTogether well saying it needs to be fixed by the devs is not really defending it. Just saying.
@Slickstyles no, bad people make us feel bad and its not to us to adapt, its to them to stop.
I'm not sure if you've gone outside to the real world yet. "Bad" people will not stop doing things just because you tell them to stop. If only it were that easy. It's ingrained in their nature and upbringing. Good luck getting them to listen to you.
-
I did realize that Huntress threw hatchets and clowns threw bottles, not sure about any other killer.
In all seriousness, this goes both ways. It's obviously common courtesy to do certain things and the game banks on the fact that both sides will follow a code of honor just like how society functions. However, not everyone is going to do that and you just have to ignore it or learn to deal with it.
-
I understand where you're coming from but I'd rather have their base mechanics looked at rather than outright denying synergy between killers and their perks. I agree that both Spirit's and Freddy's kit is overtuned. However, Billy is already going to be gutted and infectious nurse has counterplay.
-
I understand your sentiment. They could've reworked 4 survivor perks in addition to the 4 reworked killer perks to keep things fresh and new for survivors as well.
Before people say survivors should get nothing because Billy got nerfed, no one asked for it but the devs decided to do it anyways. It's like taking away addons every trial for survivors.
-
"I'd rather be braindead and play in a way that's sociopathic and selfish in nature because I don't want to challenge myself and let others have fun". There, I fixed it for you.
-
We could make it similar to keys in that keys only require survivors to do half the objectives to get out. I feel like the most common key hatch escapes are 2 people escaping which is about 3 gens done. 5 gens done + 1 exit gate so it's pretty close to half the objectives.
Ideally, a killer should hook survivors 12 times. Therefore, if a killer gets 6 hooks they can start to mori survivors who have been hooked at least once. It's to be fair for survivors who have not been downed/hooked yet.

The Game can be a safe pallet haven or be full of dead zones and unsafe pallets. it's a really situational map
The game is honestly nutty with doctor and his best map. I mained docter when he got his changes and even without discipline addons, most of the pallets that were considered safe become unsafe.
You can just walk up to the survivor and force them to drop the pallet. Then you run back to the middle of the loop and shock at the pallet and it becomes a free hit. In the case of other killers, you're forced to break the pallet or the survivor could just vault back and forth.
-
It's a strong perk combo but I used this build for a day once to make a point to a buddy of mine. That point is is that it's so niche and situational, that you'll barely get any use out of it. I used DS in like 10% of my games and Unbreakable in maybe 5%. Soul guard was never used once.
It's better to use perks that prevents you from going down in the first place. For example, you can use spine chill to get an early start on the killer before a chase and quick and quiet to to potentially trick the killer and yeet away in the middle of a chase.
Now, if you have a full SWF running DS and Unbreakable, then that's a whole different story.

What does it do again? Haven't played Doc since I p1'd him
It reduces the timing of shocks allowing to you to spam it at a loop. It takes away the skill of timing your shocks properly.
You're slowed down when you shock so discipline let's you close in on a survivor even faster. If you pair purple/green discipline with high stimulus electrode (range addon), you're basically telling the survivors not to have any fun. It becomes a predrop pallet and hold W simulator.
-
The only nerf that Doc requires is his Discipline addons. They're busted as hell. Everything else is fine.
-
Oni is a better Myers and Freddy is a better Doctor. I suppose you want those two nerfed as well?
-
By tryhards, I think they meant that the killers/survivors run the most broken ######### in every match which is absolutely bogus. As killer, you will rarely run into 4 man swfs all running ds/unbreakable/bt/dh/sb and as survivor, not all killers will tunnel/camp with the most oppressive addon combos.
-
I use Corrupt Intervention. It's a great perk to make the map smaller and force the survivors to come closer to you to do gens. It honestly should be a build in mechanic with a shorter duration but it is what it is.
-
Just play it out. Believe it or not. Playing against swf's will actually make you better at the game because you have to try that much harder to win making your victory that much sweeter. Not all games will be a breeze in the park and I think some people have yet to accept that.
-
Baitpost? How long have you been playing killer? Most abusable infinites have been removed. If what you said was true, the downfall of dbd would've been years ago when real infinites and more abusable loops actually existed. Since then, the playerbase has only increased. You also have a thing called bloodlust to help you with chases.
-
It's a perfectly reasonable and legitimate strategy. It gives killers extra pressure and forces survivors off objectives to pick up their teammates. It's a much better alternative than camping/tunneling. However, if you slug to just let people bleed out, then that's a dick move.
-
You shouldn't feel stressed out playing any game. I honestly find it strange for a video game to raise one's cortisol levels since it's a recreational activity. Do I feel pressured in certain situations in DBD? Yes, absolutely but never stressed. I feel like there are other underlying issues with yourself, rather than the game.

Ive repeated countless times she already has a tell when she starts her phase her entire animations reset.
They reset inconsistently. I have friends who are rank1 spirits and we've tested literally everything to counter spirit. If you don't believe me, this video says the same exact thing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOHy-NA2qaY
If you said that the tell was shards glowing, I'd agreed but it's hardly visible from closeup and not visible at all from a distance. It's not a good enough tell and none of it is practical in a chase. Stop making excuses for something that's clearly broken so you can continue to abuse its mechanic.

Putting a direct tell of where her location is will directly bring her too F tier lol the fact survivors cant see her is what makes her good.
I said some tell, not a direct tell. That's just putting words in my mouth. Some tell could be letting survivors know when she starts to phase OR leaving a trail of black pools of blood or something. Either/or. It doesn't have to be both.
I'd prefer the trail because in the same way survivors try to mindgame with their scratchmarks, you can mindgame with the trail you leave behind. Survivors need more information to work with rather than be punished for an educated guess.
-
If any killer actually deserved the next nurse treatment, it should've been spirit. Billy has been a good boi and his species have been going extinct. I rarely see him in red ranks anymore, especially good ones.
-
Any fair player doesn't want Spirit's kit to be nerfed nor or they demanding for nerfs. Most players if not all players who are actually good at this game didn't even ask for a Billy nerf. However, we do acknowledge that there needs to be some tell when she's using her power.
The counters to spirit are actually stupid and a lot of it boils down to a guess better situation. Oh you can stealth or run and walk to trick the spirit. Those simple ass tricks don't work on a good spirit. The only real counter to her is to hope that they're bad or have no good headphones so those tricks actually work on them.
